Kyla was extremely helpful. She helped me with the menu items and explained what each one contained. This is my first time at BR Scoops, the ice cream was great and delicious. Kyla was main superstar and gave us excellent choices to choose from. Kyla was a superstar.

New CedarCrest ice cream is amazing! Soft serve tastes delicious. Flurries are overflowing! I didn’t used to like this place much under the previous owners, but now I love the ice cream! Service is always kind and helpful. Not to mention the cool new menus. Prices are just right. Last owners we’re all over the place and the staff always seemed down, but now everythings positive! It’s a regular spot for me now.

People working were nice but no bananas, no strawberry or strawberry syrup and the when we asked for napkins. No napkins. I think they need to plan alittle better.

I was a big fan of BR Scoops because of the different options for their flurries. I am not a fan of the menu changes. Our favorite flurry now costs over $7 because everything in it is now considered an extra topping. While I’m still a fan, this has now become a splurge stop instead of our go to place for ice cream.

Staff was very friendly, but the ice cream is terrible! Soft serve is like its freezer burnt or something... weird texture and doesnt taste good. I got mine dipped in chocolate and the chocolate was watered down and nasty. My dog wouldnt even eat her pup cup if that tells you anything... wont be going back

It got 1 star because I cant rate it a 0. I wanted a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate, I couldnt get it dipped because the chocolate wasnt melted yet. They had been open for an hour and a half! Soft serve ice cream was VERY grainy and the cone was stale. NEVER going back. Heads up for people ordering food, you could smell that the frying grease was old.

Bad customer service, hair in the food, the prices are way too expensive. Their food is cheap, the chicken is nothing but end trails, and the wait for the food is always more than twenty minutes no matter how busy it is. This is the worst place to eat in Big Rapids. I will never eat here again and I will preach to everyone who will listen about how horrible this place turned out to be. Wish it was still DQ!!!!!!! Ice cream was a bit gritty today it needs to be creamier we ordered a medium chocolate ice cream cone and took a little bit long to get it with only one person it seemed like working.

Place is under new management and management is excellent. Very fast service considering how busy they were. Had the Michigan Campfire (vanilla oce cream with graham crackers, chocolate chips, and marshmallow fluff) cyclone which was AWESOME. Portions are large which makes it all worth the price. A medium looks like a large!! Yummy!! Lots of options as well. Will definitely be coming back. ALSO, wet wipes available for sticky fingers

I used to love this place but this year the ice cream isnt great (soft serve) and the service is even worse. The young women at the window rolled their eyes the entire time. I know that right now is a difficult time for everyone and I make sure I am extra kind so I really hate when people constantly roll their eyes and act like they are inconvenienced simply by me ordering. I dont know that well give it another try at this point.

Something has changed in the past 3 weeks, the ice cream tastes differently. In fact, it was tasteless, it did not have the creamy taste. New recipe? New owners? Not sure but it is not the same.Went a time before and they were out if marshmallows topping.Go back to the original recipe and not scrip on taste or you will ruin a long standing tradition of an ice cream store on state street.#missingtheoldDQ#missingcreamtaste

Went to get a hot dog, Pepsi for myself and hot fudge sundae for my Nana. No lines so I think this will only take a couple minutes. No it took 10 minutes for a hot dog.! Sundae melted before i got my hot dog. At least they gave me a new one when i asked. And no the dog wasnt warm. Normally wouldnt complain but thats just ridiculous

I love that this business is another one in our community that employs the youth. I can remember starting out in an establishment just like this and was grateful for the opportunity.I also love that they offer Pup Cups for our 4 legged fur baby Yes we spoil him and so do they by putting a dog treat right on top. I have had wonderful experiences at State Street Scoops. It is much better than the Dairy Queen that used to be there. Theres more Twister selections. The workers take special care for food allergies (peanuts).I find it funny when people say its slow when sometimes the line is 5 people long which slows serve.Complaining because your cup is too full? Seriously?!?! Good prices and a too full cup. Cant beat that. I highly recommend.

Slower service but it may be logistical. If one window was used for ordering and the other for distributing orders, it may move faster than trying to use one window for both. Decent portion sizes for the price. Miss the Dairy Queen vanilla soft serve though.

Ever since they switched from being a Dairy Queen franchise service went down hill and prices have went way up. Its always a long wait, even if there is nobody there. Prices are insane for the garbage you get. Their sloppy Joes were microwaved. The bun was soggy and chewy. You usually get a younger person who could care less about doing a good job. When you get an older employee things seem to be better. I dont even bother anymore. We go to kings in Sylvester. You get a giant cone with real ice cream for a couple dollars.

After my boyfriend got his ice cream, we waited 15 minutes for my warm donut surprise, and it was a donut with ice cream and chocolate sauce.. I’m not sure why it took so long but nobody even apologized for the wait and there were 5 workers. I am In the customer service industry and I’ve never had a worse experience at an ice cream place. Would not recommend to anyone, and we won’t be returning.

Small place...hotdogs were good...most liked their ice cream but the chocolate ice cream did not taste chocolatey at all...unfortunately more like a freezer burn taste.

Foods good people are kinda snobby and off task

Ordered a chicken fingers basket and small blizzard by phone from work, so I could have it ready to pick up when I got there on my lunch break. Was not informed of how busy they were, ended up spending my entire lunch break in line, and they had to remake the blizzard because they made it when I called even though it should have been obvious it would be at least a 20 minute wait. I would have gone elsewhere had I realized how expensive the chicken fingers basket was, it didnt used to cost that much. AND the blizzard was completely tasteless, they must have been using some cheap knock-off ice cream. VERY disappointed, they may have just lost a customer from ever coming back.

Go there every year with the kids, its a tradition. My grandparents always took us there since the 1980s even if its not the same people the place hasnt physically changed, brings back memories for me... go make yours there today!

Wish I could give half a star. I paid 6 dollars for a large twister and 2 bites in I got a piece of hair. And I decided maybe it was just on the side of the cup since it was only 2 bites in well I was wrong and grossed out because I found yet another hair a third of the way in the large twister. At that point being pissed off and grossed out took it back to them and told them they offered to make a new one I said no I refuse to eat here again do to that and the wait time. So got my refund and left. I feel that no one should be eating here and that it should be closed or restaffed at least.

Terrible asked for chicken basket get the chicken in hotdog containers no frys wife gets cheeseburger basket add lettuce and tomato she gets day old nasty tomato burger slapped together no condiments or pickels on it and 2 packets of ketchup wait time 30 minutes this was at 3pm sunday july 14th management needa to train these kids better! other than that it is usually good service for the most part.

The lemon meringue is awesome! Id give it five stars if I didnt have to wait twenty minutes to get my grandsons corndog!

Just went there and a terrible experience. The guy who took my order was rude and slammed the window in my face. Then the ice cream was filled way too high in the cup, which caused it to melt all over before I could eat it. It made such a mess that I had to dump it out. Terrible service.
