Called at the parts department to have some infos to replace a remote who is disintegrating and had a very rude and aggressive answer from the lady I got on the phone. Something like I dont care of what you saying and you disturb me.

If you are a true electronic lover and dont mind spending money then you will love it. They have some out of this world stuff.

This company makes absolutely the finest professional sound systems in the world. If you want the absolute best that will out perform everything else, and virtually never need service, then it is a McIntosh. Nothing else comes close, and made right here with true master American craftsmen.

Just like the rest of the users here say, McIntosh is hands-down the best audio gear ever manufactured. I must say that I base that opinion only on their classic equipment that I have owned (four different components from between 1957-1971). I have not had any reason to purchase any of the present day units they make because of the fact that I believe that they mastered the supreme craftmanship back in the day alone! In my opinion the MC-225 and MX-110z combo is the ultimate listening experience at an actual achievable price range. USA!!

I needed help with my early 70s MC-50s (a rare/obscure amp). I needed parts, but all the parts only had their 6-digit numbers on them. I looked online, but couldnt find many cross references, so I contacted them. A few weeks went by, and I thought they had just blown me off. Then a personally written email came with a table that cross referenced ALL the parts to modern equivalents. Someone took their time and did a LOT of research here. Wow, what service. THIS is why I buy American.

I have had the privilege to enjoy McIntosh equipment for over 46 years, and can attest to it being the very best available!Every piece of equipment that I have had the pleasure to enjoy has been the VERY BEST available, at any price.The design is always ground breaking, and exceeds my expectations time after time!Customer service has been nothing short of perfect from McIntosh Labs.The only service that has ever had to be done to my Mac Equipment was to replace light bulbs in the front panels, after many years of use.Now McIntosh Labs has replaced light bulbs with Light Emitting Diodes, the only service that ever needs to be done is cleaning these marvelous pieces of ART ! ! ! ! ! !Some background on myself:MSEE, Audiophile, pilot, skier (snow & water), gearhead, retired in 2000. Have Electronic shop at my residence, and do builds and modifications for many friends that are also audiophiles.Worked as engineer for Honeywell Marine Systems for 6+ years doing Warfare design on acoustics and navigation systems.MY LOVE IS AUDIO ! ! ! !Have been designing and building audio equipment for well over forty years.

McIntosh is beyond reproach when it comes to the quality and longevity of the components offered. Who has the necessary change should always call one or the other McIntosh own. I myself am a sound engineer and have McIntosh compared with many other brands in hard continuous use and always felt as a particularly positive sound and powerful performance. Let me put it this way: McIntosh is really steaming!
