I took my almost 12 year old son there last Saturday, along with a friend of his, and they were blown away with all of the memorabilia and items they have in stock. The workers there were so nice to both of the boys, who are very responsible with sharp items, that we will be going back again and again! Don’t miss out on seeing the store and I know you will not leave empty-handed. My son’s friend bought three knives, and my son walked away with one, and they each got MRE’s. We’ll be visiting there and in before school starts, I’m sure.

I have purchased three firearms from this establishment and my experience has been excellent. The selection is both eclectic and practical, with modern custom builds as well as rare classics. Eric and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and they provided a no pressure atmosphere to help me find the perfect weapon.The gunsmith on site also impressed me. He repaired my specialty weapon in a short time and had it cycling perfectly. He even put a little extra smoothing and shine on the action to get it working better than new.This store is a gem. Do yourself a favor and check out the inventory - you wont be disappointed.

After I left Birmingham Pistol Warehouse (see my previous review that’s a 1 star), where I was ignored because I’m a female (this has happened to me more than once there), I called American Tactical from BPW parking lot to see if they had the rifle I was looking for in stock, or if it could be ordered. I was blown away by their courtesy & customer service. From my phone call to my store visit, where I found exactly what I was looking for in stock, I was treated as a valued customer. Every person who was working this afternoon spoke to us, and made sure we were taken care of. Everyone was super knowledgeable & answered our many questions with patience, kindness, AND accurate information-no blowing smoke for these guys. They even offered to order a different rifle if that was our preference, but I loved the one that was in stock so much, I was sold. I’ll never go anywhere else now. They’ve earned a lifetime customer in me.

Have been here before and had decent experiences. But my most recent trip has put the nail in the coffin. I went in to trade my $300 scope for something else and was told that what I was getting was worth $250. Which I was cool with cause I understand that they need to make a profit. But when I look up the product the next day to learn more about it I find out that its worth $80 not $250. This is despicable.

I came all the way from Huntsville to see this place in person after hearing about it from a friend and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. They have everything from MREs to pocket knives to rifles. Great customer service, great prices, and overall a great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for that special piece, as they have several rare and unique pieces.

I recently purchased a rifle in this store from the owner, Eric, and the service was great. He had a really cool inventory inside, including some war relics and rebuilds from WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. The online site has what seems like an unlimited supply of whatever you need. He was very knowledgeable and willing to work with you on price. He even has live bait for you fishermen out there. Will 100% be back soon to see what else I can build.

I live in Cullman al and I called to see if they had any 9mm ammo. They said the had plenty but they would not give me a price on it. I explained that I’m from Cullman and it’s a long ways for me to come but he still wouldn’t tell me and then he hung up on me. So later on I was close by so I went in there to see what the price was. The real reason he wouldn’t tell me is because they are OUTRAGEOUS. They only had a few boxes and they was $55 compared to $25 everywhere else for better ammo. Everything in the store was very expensive.

I owned the smith & Wesson M & P AR15 not 2 years before buying the AMERICAN TACTICAL and the look and feel is HONESTLY not much different if any.I really like the weapon.

No selection was severely lacking. A complete wast of time.

Loved the experience. The armorer on site is very technical and his work is well worth the modest amounts he charges. Loved knowing the staff were all ex-law enforcement and Veterans. Verywarm and welcoming. Made the whole visit feel like I was right at home.
