*USE THIS LOCATION AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!Made a appt for my child to get a dye and cut at blaine location THIS IS THE ONLY BLAINE LOCATION ACCORDING TO GOOGLE. arrived 10 mins ahead of time and they had no appointment for me and said may be at other blaine location. When asked hair stylist for address to other location was told we dont have that information this is when I started to get frustrated then I got 6 different excuses as to why they couldnt or wouldnt give me the address for the other location since it isnt in google again was told we dont have that information got upset as its a day before my childs school pictures, so I asked for a managers name and number which the hair stylist REFUSED TO GIVE ME! Then asked for the corporate phone number and store number. Again was told I refuse to give you that information maybe you should just look it up onlineIf you use this location best of luck to you.. because customer service and professionalism isnt something that this location offers. I will be in contact with the manager and if I need to go above their head I will however I doubt that a manager will allow it to escalate that far up.

I love Fantastic Sams. From the wide array of hair products to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, they are hands down my favorite place to go when I’m in need of some hair treatment. However, my last experience was less than stellar. I needed a trim, so I scheduled w the first available hairdresser. They are all great, so no issues right? WRONG! I had Kelly. She was definitely the worst hairdresser I’ve ever worked with. From the check in to my car, where I was on a phone call for TWO MINUTES, she stormed out and rudely asked me to come inside because I was “late”— TWO MINUTES. In her words “I have someone right after you, I can’t waste their time” which implies my time isn’t valuable. On the way in, she didn’t even hold the door. During the haircut, her mannerisms and tone were very rude and made me uncomfortable. My hair turned out nice, but her attitude made me very uneasy. She also lectured me on how my “hair is dry and damaged and I don’t take care of it”. Someone needs to chat with her about her customer service personality and make some changes in employment. However, my friend had an opposite experience w Heather. Heather was kind, talkative, bubbly, and a pleasure to have work on her hair. I don’t know how two polar opposites are employed under the same roof. Moral of the story: DONT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO KELLY. Heather is much better and is actually nice. I only tipped Kelly out of moral obligation. Heather received a tip from the heart. Thanks for reading this, make wise appointments and stay away from Kelly.

I have never had this type of service! I absolutely loved Brittany! I went in to get a cut and color but because i got bored during the lock down, I tried box dye. NEVER AGAIN!! Unfortunately, I wasnt able to dye my hair but we did do a super cute hair cut, totally out of my comfort zone but it turned out amazing! Absolutely love them!

Ive been going to Fantastic Sams now for a couple of years and Ive loved every minute of it!! During this pandemic they are taking extra precautions to ensure their employees and myself as a customer are staying safe and healthy! They are disinfecting everything after it is used after one customer and before the next. They are also requiring everyone to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer as you walk in the door and checking your temperature. Keep working hard hair stylists and I will for sure be back! Also, I LOVE my haircut I got!! 😀

My stylist Brooke, at the Blaine location. was wonderful!!! I got there 20 minutes before they closed and they stayed not only for my hair cut but also waxed my eyebrows and lip. They absolutely do not know how to color any hair besides previously bleached blonde hair. And they are super rude and overcharge for it. Over $200 and they cant be bothered to use the correct lever activator then laugh like its my fault.

Absolutely worst service and attitude I have ever seen. My wife went in for a color and service. She was told a price of her service which was over $200, then was proceeded to be told to reach her desired hair color it would require a 2nd sitting With additional price, which was never mentioned. She had come out and expressed her frustration while the staff just stared at us threw the windows to make sure we wouldn’t run away without paying. I Walked and immediately attacked by all salon members telling me how our hair is so jet black and so on forth. If additional fees was required why wasn’t that mentioned on the service agreement before it was signed, they kept even showing me the agreement and the total stated. Ultra and other salons correct and make sure that’s the color she was trying to achieve with no additional costs. They were extremely rude to her and I telling us to go the place where she gets her hair done. When asked for a manager card or owner i was handed a blank card with no name and just the local salon number. I know numerous people who use this salon and as a local business owner my staff does as well, and I’ll make sure I don’t stop there being part of local area chamber Who I have close relationships with will also be informed about our experience. When I told them we wouldnt be coming back the staff replied, good don’t be back.

One of the best haircuts Ive ever received. I have super dry and thick hair and Emily worked some magic today! She took her time when washing and cutting which is very important to me. I dont want to feel like Im being rushed out the door. My hair has never felt so soft! Everyone inside was super nice and friendly. The store had a very nice vibe to it. (I hardly trust anybody with my hair) she actually listens to how you want it done but surprises me every time with her rare set of skills ! My hair has never looked or felt so great! They were able to get all of the red out of my hair (have been dying it red for 3+ years), to get my hair a solid shade of brown as well as being able to match my regrowth to the same shade as the previously dyed hair. Highly recommend!

Have been going to the same stylist (Heather) for the last 3 years. She does a amazing job and is very attentive to details. She takes her time with the haircut, washes your hair then when you get back in the chair she goes back over you hair to make sure everything is cut correctly and well blended. Heather gives the best hair cuts I have ever had and is very knowledgeable. I brought my fiancee to her and she agreed it was the best hair cut she has ever had. I used to live in Blaine but now live in Maplewood and I am more then willing to make the journey over there just for a haircut.

Im so disappointed with my experience there! I have loved every haircut I have ever got in the past and with every stylist until the haircut I got the other night! It was from a girl I have never seen before and it is horrible! She paid little attention to what she was doing, kept burning my scalp with hairdryer, washed my hair in freezing cold water, had horrible hygiene herself and worst of all gave me a horrible haircut!! I refuse to go back and let her fix it! It not only is not what I asked for, its too short and impossible to style! If I could give her a negative number I would! So bummed because its right before Christmas as well!!

I brought my niece into the salon today for her birthday. Jacque was amazing and very professional throughout the service. She took 9 off my nieces hair, lightened it and applied hot pink. It is BEAUTIFUL and all of us are very happy with the results.What we were not happy with was the final cost. We were originally quoted at a cost of $183 for everything (with an additional $1 per gram of additional hair dye needed). Being trusting and not thinking I needed to review the measurements of gram to ounce ratio, I assumed that any additional cost would be within reason ($20 to $40 extra). Keep in mind this is a little girl getting her hair done for the first time. Well, there are exactly 28.35 grams in an ounce. So, the additional 3.3 ounces of hair dye that was required to finish her hair increased the cost by nearly $100.I understand that I was told additional hair dye would cost $1 per gram, but this is just taking advantage of people.Just because you can, doesnt mean you should. I dont know anyone that wouldnt be upset about a miscommunication like this.I will say that I take partial responsibility for not taking out my phone a crunching the numbers prior to beginning the service. This is definitely a lesson learned on my part - and I would encourage you to be more forth coming with you customers in the future. Your customers after all - are the reason why youre in business.

Brought my 12 year old daughter in she wanted pink and purple ombré highlights. Darlene was awesome! The color wasnt as bright as my daughter envisioned. The manager said we could come back and try again. She took her time, using a different method and it turned out so vibrant and exactly what she wanted. Everyone was very nice. I will for sure be back :)

Ive been going to many different hair salons from as long as I remember. I have never once been satisfied. I figured I would try this location out. I was shocked at how amazing they did! Ive never had a salon do my hair exactly how I explained. I am completely satisfied and I will definitely be going back and recommending this location to any one I know.

Color looks good but the haircut is not at all what I wanted. When she was done cutting I told her what I didnt like and she stated oh I will just round brush it. Clearlyi stated more volume stack it in the back she did not do that. Wont be going back to this location

This used to be one of the best locations but no longer. My last two haircuts were poorly done and the front desk help is either incompetent or dishonest. Wait times completely inaccurate, waiting 90 minutes when told 20, which happened twice this month for family members. Exactness not expected but the front desk knows for example, that highlights take longer than cuts and should be truthful when estimating wait time. We will not return.

No wait at the time I went. Haircut was what I asked for. No complaints here, and pleasent staff. Competitive pricing. Im am overall happy with my experience.

The last time I went there it was great, I really liked the haircut I got from Jacque. So I tried to go today and was told it would be about an hour for her, and I should leave and come back at 1 pm. The girl didnt say anything about checking back in when I returned. So I came back 10 minutes before 1 pm and sat down and waited for a half hour while the stylist I wanted took two other customers. I finally got up and asked the lady at the counter what was going on and she says, oh sorry if you leave you have to remember to check back in when you come back.... Maybe you should tell people this if you tell them to leave and come back. I left without getting a haircut. Ill be going somewhere with better customer service.

Ive only ever gotten 1 good cut there. Its hard to tell in the salon, i usually go home and fix it myself. As others have said wait times are horrible. Was told 10-15 minutes but ended up walking out afted 35. This happens quite often. Go somewhere else.

I needed a good cut before my vacation and baby shower coming up and i went here because the one i normally go to was closed because of a funeral. The women i had ( dont remember her name) did not listen to what i asked for at all. I show the same picture to all my stylists for the past 5 years and ive never had a hair cut so bad in my life. I asked for it to be longer then my chin and an A line bob (short in back). She said ok sounds good. Turns me away from the mirror so i could watch my 3 year old daughter. When she was done it was next to my ear.... Wet... I have wavy hair hair so it bounces up.. First thought i wanted to cry so i paid and left and cried ( im 7 months pregnant and have no will power to tell someone i hate things) i knew at this point it couldnt be fixed because it would end up shorter. And i also was leaving for vacation the next day so hard no time to go back. The other big problem is she was shaking the whole time, smelt terrible of smoke, and was talking to the other stylist the whole time... So i dont know if i just had bad luck of the draw with the stylist but im really really upset with my 90s mom bowl cut hair. -_-
