Really fun and successful visit to American Rare Coin last week! Went in to have coins and silver items assessed and left more than satisfied. The staff - Tad, Kathryn, Rick, John, and Tom (?) all pitched in, with their areas of expertise, to go through many items quickly. They were experienced, respectful, and trustworthy. We laughed a LOT too. Thanks for your help - I may be back and will definitely recommend you to others.
Absolutely awesome experience today at American Rare Coin & Collectibles. We live in New York and our 11-year-old son has taken a major interest in coins and collectibles. The staff here couldnt have been nicer. They were extremely helpful in furthering our education and had extremely fair prices and premiums. Highly recommend American Rare Coin & Collectibles. Thank you for such a great experience for our son! We will absolutely be back!
I met with Mr. White a few days ago and found the experience as super efficient and friendly. The sale was great, expedient and the value was fair. I will testify that American Rare Coin has great workers who know there job. They are customer service oriented and great to work with.
Very knowledgeable and professional. We had an excellent experience selling our coins to American Rare Coin. The team was helpful and friendly.
After a relative passed away, we had no idea where to even start. We found the service to be thoughtful, educational, fair, and patient. They took their time to get it right. Whole-heartedly recommend.
Ive been to American Rare Coin twice now, my 2 year old son with me both times. That fact frames my experience here more than any other factor.Parents know dealing with a rambunctious toddler is never easy, especially in a setting such as a coin shop. The first time I was there was a longer trip and my boy was getting restless. At no point did any of the employees make me feel bad about his not wanting to sit, even going as far as providing water and a snack to keep him occupied. I bought some S. Korean gold then.Next trip I had a gold bar of mine tested (no charge, thank you!) And when I was looking st some silver rounds my son reached toward the bowl and when I told him he couldnt have any, the employee who was showing me the silver gave my son an Eisenhower silver dollar. That sort of thing means more to a parent than I think most realize. And that level of customer service is what earns my repeat business and praises.Thank you, American Rare Coin!
I was so glad to go to a place I trust. They were great to work with and very knowledgeable!
Great place. Extremely kind and helpful to me when I sold an inherited coin collection.
Very nice staff!Very helpful and informative whether you are buying, selling, or just have questions about precious metals, diamonds, jewelry, bouillon, and even sports cards & collectibles.Easy to get in and out.Would definitely recommend!
We were cleaning out old drawers and found some coins and jewelry we wanted to sell. ARCC came up in our search and we sent off our package. We were very impressed with their same-day responsiveness, professionalism, honesty, and pricing. 100% satisfied.
After the loss of our mother, my siblings and I made a appointment, and brought them our mothers silverware, old coins, foreign coins, old jewelry. We found them to be very knowledgeable with everything we brought in. Highly recommend.
I brought in some older gold and silver jewelry. Service was friendly and the process was easy!
Ive been a customer of American Rare Coin & Collectibles for many years. Whether Im buying or selling, Ive always found them to be honest and transparent about their pricing and I recommend them without hesitation. A special thanks to Mark from a satisfied customer!
Theyre so friendly & helpful! They deal with coins, bills, & also jewelry. Theyre always checking for the price on gold & silver so that their customers will get the highest amount possible! Go see them for all your needs!
I have used American Rare Coin for a number of years now and have nothing but the best experience. I have found them very trustworthy, provide very fair pricing, great overall service and try to educate at the same time. I highly recommend them without any reservation.
I have dealt with them a couple of times. Both times they have been very professional and fair.
Brought in a bunch of coins and jewelry from a family estate. They are very professional. They run a tight ship and know exactly what they are doing. It is a business and they are very fair with there prices.
I called to get some information before I brought my coins to be looked at and the lady on the phone was extremely rude. I know they might have been busy but I had questions. The lady I talked to didnt seem to want to give to much info on the coins or if they possible were worth more than melt down. She seemed to be stuck on only paying melt down price. When I mentioned that I had done some research on my own and that I had some that were protentional worth a lot of money, she got very short with me and no longer wanted to talk to me and hung up. I wouldnt ever bring anything to this place, I dont think from my conversation that they are honest at all. I checked on the melt down price of silver before I called and they were well below the price.
My Wife and I have been here Many times over the years and won’t go to any place else with Gold, Silver etc. - Great People, knowledgeable and Friendly from the time you walk in until you’re finished. We wouldn’t trust anyone else whether buying or selling. Jeff and Kris Yohn
Im hyper particular with whom I conduct business with. The folks in American Rare Coin & Collectors are, hands down, the best and most trustworthy business Ive ever completed business with. This is my second transaction and honestly, their professionalism is without parallel. Their integrity is a bit more valuable than the fine products they sell - and they sell the best quality products. Anyone who is in the process of converting paper to metal, specially if its your first time, these folks will surpass your expectations. Daniel was and is most helpful, I imagine anyone you work with there, will impress you, consistently. Thanks!!!
1st time I deal himSo wait whats should be this companyIthink Its realy good
These guys are the hands down best! Fair and so respectful. Best place to buy or sell coins / boullion!
Really honest people, very good service . Best gold prices. Highly recommend them to anyone.
I am selling old coins and old note
Hello Im sell in coins old
They always give a price much better than other places Ive been too.
I came in on December 12th, 2019 with a wide variety and a lot of coins. These coins were collected for over 85 years by my father. I worked with Daniel and not only did he give me great customer service, I received an education as he more than willing to answer my questions. I came in about 11:30 and it took 5 hours to go through everything. After we finished I realized that Daniel did not even stop for lunch. That to me is going over and above. The final result was over 5 times more than I expected to receive. One reason it that Daniel found that one coin that you just never know about, that you had. I had a silver dollar from the late 1800s valued at $1600.00. I highly recommend American Rare Coin & Collectibles.
Exelent company
Great shop, very helpful with first timers!
Im on Google Maps as a tour guide in South Africa 🇿🇦...
Nice people and no pressure on the purchasing my old coins. They talked me through everything. I came here on a friends recommendation, and I would also highly recommend.
They were very through in processing some old silver coins.
I was looking for a reputable location to purchase gold and silver bullion. I visited American Rare Coin last week just to inquire about their business and the buy/sell process. I couldn’t have been happier with the attention they provided me, even though they knew I wasn’t buying or selling at that time. Daniel took time to answered all my questions thoroughly. I returned a couple of days later to make a purchase and ended up being helped by Daniel again. I received the same attention and respect as a valued customer. American Rare Coin has definitely become my “go to” business for me. Thank you for the exceptional service.
I have 20 R5 Mandela coin i want to sell does it have value
Hii your company very Good and my coin value
I stopped into American Rare Coin a couple of weeks ago and even though it was quite busy, I was greeted and welcomed immediately by the office manager (if she isnt the office manager, she should be!) . . . I wish I could remember her name! Everyone was so professional and made me feel like I was the most important person there. Even though I ended not selling or purchasing anything on this particular visit, I will definitely be back and would highly recommend checking them out.
I have been looking for a place to sell my coin collection, and I have a lot to go through. So it took me a while to decide who I was going to do business with. I stumbled onto this American Rare Coin Collectibles site and read almost all of the reviews for it. Even though its almost impossible to make all customers happy all the time, their reviews showed they did.I made a call to American Coins and asked how to mail coins to them and if they could help me, The lady assured me they received coins in the mail regularly and instructed me where to go on the website for the instructions. The instructions were very straight forward and simple.I mailed off my package to them and they called me after they went through my coins. They explained to me that they could only offer me the silver price, but they went through them one by one and determined there was no additional value. I was happy with that, and sent another package of coins to them. They called me again and explained they had a couple silver dollars that I sent were worth more than the silver price and I ended up getting quite a bit more than just silver price. That made me happy and convinced me that they truly do go through them one by one, and you get paid more for rare coins as well.I have quite a few coins, and will continue to do business with American Rare Coin Collectibles in the future.Chaz
I had a collection of coins and a few bills to be appraised. Old and new, some silver, some foreign, and none of it well preserved. I didnt have high hopes, but the guy with whom I met (sorry, I forgot his name; 5/7, 1030 appt) went through everything and gave it all a good look-see. In the end, the collection was organized so that I now know what is collectible, silver scrap, spendable, and just plain scrap. Very pleased. Thanks.
You wont find a more fair, honest, and straightforward organization. Their pricing is transparent and the best I could find. For easy smooth transactions I highly recommend.
I have been to American Rare Coin and Collectibles twice and I will go again! Their staff and business practices are knowledgeable, professional and ethical. Daniels thoroughness, care and honesty in assisting me were the epitome of customer service. No need to shop around, you can depend on American Rare Coin and Collectibles to always give you the best price and exceptional service.
I was there in October 2019 and thought they dealt fairly and treated me well. Went in with a coin collection I knew little about, and left with a check that seemed quite fair. Rick was the guy who helped me. Good experience all around.
Lady was incredibly rude when I walked in asked me 3 times if I was sure about wanting a price almost refusing to sell to me she was very condescending and I will never go back I had money to spend and wasnt given the time of day horrible experience didnt end up spending a dime and never will there are plenty of reputable dealers around and thats where Ill be making my precious metal purchases NOT HERE!
All of the folks here were so helpful and kind to my boys, who are getting into coin collecting. The gentlemen took the time to answer questions and were generous enough to give them free coins and books!
This is the place to sell your coins, silver, gold & platinum bullion. Especially on a good price upswing. They update buy price on their website daily. Fast service and very knowledgeable. Obviously you wont get the same price as selling privately. But they offer sellers zero hassle or risk. Plus youre immediately paid in a check, that you can cash down the hall from their office.
Very pleased with my visit, fair honest, professional. felt little bad eating that sadwitch in front of them in the morning from the cafe. the lady that works there was very nice cant remember her name sorry, And the gentleman that was helping me was very thorough he really knows his coins, making sure if there was any rare coins so I could get the most money.also cant remember his name, Im really bad with names very sorry, but my lasting impression is there, if I had to recommend a place to sell to these guys would be it, I never felt for a second that I was pressured to sell anything. the price was very fair. thank you
We found American Rare Coin very professional in every way. The folks there are very welcoming and make sure you understand that you are important, with little or with lots of gold or silver. My wife went in with a bunch of sorted gold and silver and they treated her like she had gallons of rare coins. We are impressed to say the least!
Patient and helpful with a beginner.
These guys are the best and most honest shop by far. You can completely trust them to take care of you whether you are buying or selling. Im really glad I changed shops and started going here a couple years back after trying them out.
We me with Daniel and received excellent service. He was transparent and fun to talk to.
Took some misc gold and silver (first time ever) items of my dads who died about a year ago, into American Rare Coin & Collectibles. The woman at the front desk was very rude. It felt like I was bothering her or interrupting her. She sat me at a desk to wait for someone else to come. I waited a bit and then left. Maybe she was just having a bad day.First impression is everything!!!I went elsewhere and they were very happy to buy my things.
I showed up at noon on a Wednesday without an appointment and was assisted immediately. The people I worked with were friendly, courteous, explained things really well, and went to some trouble to find ways to increase the amount they could give me. (For example, the diamond in one of the rings I was selling was originally going to get me $5 but after another person took a look at it, at the buyers own initiative, they raised that to $80!) I had no idea what to expect and relied on Google reviews in deciding to go there. I feel as if I definitely did the right thing.
Sold to them a few years ago. Now I know they need to make money, but they were offering about 40% of what coins were worth. We felt Ireally taken for. I have more coins to sell and will avoid this place like the plague.
I was very impressed with the service, professional and very honest. I walked in with a bunch of junk and walked out with $679 dollars. Amazing! I had taken jewelery that had been assessed by someone else and told had no value and found out yes it did have value and it was gold. Dont go any where else and waste your time and maybe money.
This is a place you can trust. Matt Dan and Tony took great care of us . we would recommend them to any one. Trust them.
We found a dozen numismatic/metals dealers with a Google search, narrowed it to four with the U.S. Mint search, chose this place as it was well rated. We talked with Mike within a couple minutes and found him affable and knowledgeable. We got to know each other, chatted about interests, addressed our concerns with the market and got down to business.Mike answered all our questions handily, providing pertinent information as well as supplemental research to enhance our understanding. My wife is much deeper into this research than I am, and Mike let her know he appreciated her due diligence. At no point did we feel rushed or pressured: one topic naturally led to another, we asked questions and so did he. He understood our concerns and responded to them, providing authoritative substantiating information to round out our understanding.Id recommend this office for responsible investors with an eye on the three Es, for people who have done their own research and have specific questions to be answered. The service here was friendly and professional at all times.
I have some nepali rear coins and i want to sell them. So how can i contact u? Please suggest me a way
I went in here about 6 weeks ago with a lot of an old coin collection my dad had. It took the gentleman almost 2 hours to go through and was happy to share his knowledge as well while looking. It turns out I had about $1700.00 worth of loose stuff. Also due to his skilled eye, he found a buffalo nickle worth $1000.00!Thanks for the time guys.Brian Beenken
The staff is knowledgeable of the industry and fair. I recommend this shop if you’re looking to buy or sell fine metals.
Am selling these coins
Wonderful employees - walked us through every part of buying our old jewelry (I had done my research prior to going, it was nice to see they did everything by the book and wanted to educate us as well). An honest, reliable place I will be back to when Im looking to sell more!
Ok, I was a bit nervous about checking this place out. I had some bracelets from an ex to get rid of. He had assured me they were real gold. The woman in the front of the shop was so kind and helpful! She explained the process, offered to get me some water, and then examined the bracelets. Turns out they were cheap junk. But the woman who helped me was so helpful and understanding, and funny too, that I almost didnt mind that the stuff was worthless junk! (My words, not anyone elses.) I would recommend American Rare Coin. Thank you!
Excellent staff. They paid full face value for all of my coins and were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended.
The person who valued my coins was helpful and did a good job explaining his valuation. The problem here was that woman who sits at the front desk who just went out of her way to be rude. I had an appointment, but when I arrived she went out of her way to treat me like I was a dog that wandered in off the street. A really unpleasant experience.
Had a pretty sizable collection that really and was beginning to get into the hobby andnow I am a active collector have become a member with NGC frequent auctions and shows and I was given incredibly good advice from a gentlemen that helped me by the way he knew more about coins than anyone had talked to up to that point and could explain it in a way I would understand were just very helpful he told me that coin is only as valuable what somebody is going to pay for it and sometimes thats surprising and condition is everything thank rare coin and collectible I should note the reason I went in was made online advertisement
The tiny man in the blue shirt was rude and condescending. He told me very shrewdly no one is going around gluing $100 dollar bills to coins among other comments. Really? Ya think?! I bought a few coins via auction from a seller with almost a 5-star rating and 8000+ reviews. They were/are (somehow, but it doesnt make sense after the coins I received) the best coin auction house on my preferred auction site. NOT Ebay, fyi. I did my research and thought I was ok, the pictures looked good but when I got the coins, I thought they looked cleaned. Being an armature collector, I looked to an expert to confirm or deny my suspicions. I wish I went to my second stop first.I couldnt leave fast enough. Ill never go back as long as that guy works there. What terrible customer service. You should be ashamed, sir.
Hey Everyone,Im from Minneapolis, but moved to the Bay Area only to recently return. I inherited a large collection of coins from my Father, mind you this collection is one I had a very important hand in building. I didnt know anyone around here that dealt coins, so I stopped into this office. These guys are great and are very busy with their business, so if youre looking for someone to explain to you the ins and out of coin grading and/or history (which you can find online) dont go. I mean, are you really going to go into a place to sell something you know ZERO about. Im sorry but that just isnt a smart idea. Also, lets say you run an ice cream shop and you get people coming in to talk about your ice cream, not buy it. Thats fine and all, but when there are customers waiting youre gonna have to help them right? And to the guy who wanted junk silver... Maybe call ahead and ask them to prepare some? These guys bring their coin collection on the road to coin shows a lot. Its best to call any dealer before going if you want lots of their junk, so that you give the dealer time to separate some out.My experience here has been good! Theyre fair people with a well established business. Go in once and they know your name! They need some females in there though! Hehe! Its a man den in there!
Sold a very old, rare gold coin here. Shopped it around to a few other smaller shops and American Rare Coin paid the most by a small margin. Friendly staff, my only negative thing to say is that they dont have convenient hours, theyre open when most people are working, and getting into the shop is a bit confusing--its inside of a massive plaza. Its attached to a Wells Fargo which was a huge benefit for me as I bank there. The entire experience from appraisal, sale, and depositing the check in my account took about 20 minutes. Highly recommend.
Wow, these people were not helpful. Grated, I was just looking for a few junk silver coins, which they had, but brought out BU coins, and wouldnt help me with the junk. Maybe you have to willing to spend hundreds or more before they arent rude. Will not be going back.
RUDE! Ive got some signed 1991 Homer Hankies & was told to call Tony because he would be interested in looking at them. Bad mistake! Tony was the rudest JERK Ive talked to in a long time. He pretty much hung up on me. Told me he didnt do anything like that and was only interested in the older items. I had some other items I was going to stop in with, but not now. Theres NO WAY Ill ever go or call here again.
After reading the reviews for American Coin, my brother and I sold our silver dollars. and pleasantly surprised with the results. Daniel was the go-to-guy Seriously, go see Him.
Had a couple 10k items and more of 14k items. One 18k item that should have all been weighed separately. Instead were weighed together at the 14k pennyweight, which is less than weighing in grams. Had a lot of items at the cost of 1302 per troy ounce. I should have recieved a check for at least 1100, but instead, waked out with 800+. Go to Enviro Chem in Rogers where they weigh correctly and would give you the 1100 dollars you deserve!
Purchased several coins from Mark Senden. Excellent service and quality coins. Website is top notch with a weekly updated inventory of rare coins. I look forward to many more transactions.
I have been dealing with American Rare Coin & Collectibles for a few years now. They are always the most knowledgeable in the field. They take the time to sit down and go through all of your items to give a fair appraisal. (sometimes this can take hours to make sure you get a fair apprasial) They dont just lump them all together and say Ill give you so much for the whole pile like other place. Most importantly they always pay top dollar for items. I dont even try to price shop anymore. I just take all my gold and silver to them and can always leave with confidence knowing I got a fair price for my items.ps... Dan Rocks!!
Cheating
We were in a few weeks ago to sell my father in laws coin collection that was left to us. I must say, it was quite busy but we were greeted by such a delightful woman. I am sorry I didnt get her name, but she had the most fun glasses! She was so knowledgable and pleasent and helped us so much, along with the other staff that we worked with. Definately will return here if I need to sell/ buy, or even get advice.
Lady at the desk was extremely short and rude... The guy buying my coins was very impatient and i feel like i was jipped... 785 wheat backs only adding up to $21.00 probably gonna go somewhere else next time
We took my dads coin collection in and were stunned by the value of some of the coins. The collection was so large and heavy I really dreaded this. But one of the emploeyes stopped and helped us get it loaded and unloadd again. Overall it was an awesome experience.
Am sell rare coine ¬e
Very positive...have been there several times and with a friend as well....always professional, polite and fair. Would recommend them to anyone.
My 11 year old son is new to the hobby and we were overjoyed with the value of the product in the store as well as the experience rendered upon us through the help of Daniel and his expertise and enthusiasm we look forward to frequenting this establishment.
Guy was rude because what I thought was a valuable coin turned out to only be worth the weight in silver since it wasnt uncirculated. Now he will never get future business.
Foreign coin expert was super rude and didnt give me the light of day. He told me that I should go online to figure stuff out when that was the whole reason I went in. He also told me that a small difference in a coin didnt matter, but when I researched it online it was the difference between the coin being $18 or $1500. Im never going back and will make sure no one I know will ever go here.
Quick and easy, fair pricing, very nice and knowledgable staff!
Hi sir how match price sir

I was ignored the first time I went to American Rare Coin & Collectibles. The second time I went I felt like the staff talked down to me.There will not be a 3rd time I visit American Rare Coin & Collectibles.
