Love the Bean Counter Cafe! Beautiful surroundings and great food. To be around nature in that type of setting is amazing. We also walked around the garden and store, saw the odd-looking chickens (silkie sister chickens) and was there when Peter, an employee fed them. He was super knowledgeable and friendly. Across the street they have the Farm Experience which is only on weekends. Overall I had an awesometime. They also have live music outdoors on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm and Saturdays 12p to 3:30pm. I have enjoyed many good times at Colonial.

Great restaurants with local foods tucked in the Colonial Gardens so you get a garden view as you eat. Salads, omelettes, frittatas, sandwiches, and a kids menu...all very tasty. The staff are friendly, too. Take time before or after your meal to browse through the store or walk through the plants.

Darling little cafe inside Colonial Gardens. We enjoyed brunch there today. Good B&G and Paninis. We grabbed a strawberry cream cheese croissant to go and wandered through the nursery. We will definitely be back on a sunny Saturday to enjoy live music outside on the patio.

Bean Counter Cafe is located in a gorgeous nursery and outdoor goods market place with a fantastic patio. Such a fun place to hang out and enjoy amazing coffee and baked goods. I sampled several goodies Halloween weekend and was shocked to find out several were gluten-free! Every single item I tried was delicious in flavor and texture. Highly recommend!

Food was good but takes a long time. Id been waiting 10 minutes for a Reuben. When I asked how much longer, I was told up to 30 minutes for a sandwich. I asked to be clear. Yep, 30 minutes. Too long for mediocre sandwich and it wasnt that busy. Great environment though. Probably will be back for the natural surroundings but not to depend on food

Took my mom and gma to lunch and it took entirely too long to make our 3 sandwiches. Chicken salad sandwich was nothing special, and the turkey apple panini was also lackluster. We took the cubano to go. We did enjoy their pickles, not as sweet as most other bread and butter style pickles. I had a candy bar latte with oat milk and it was probably the only thing Id order again. Also, the menu still had food listed that they no longer make which was a bit disappointing to find out while ordering our food.

You start off by walking through gorgeous plants and flowers to the bean counter cafe. Seating is inside or outside. Traditional eggs bacon toast hash browns. Especially the warm coffee cup handed to you after you order coffee. Breakfast was so good it lead us out to more of the nursery and ended up buying a beautiful plant.

Weve been going here since September of 2018 and it immediately became our new favorite place to be. We have loved everything weve eaten there, but our favorites are the veggie and Greek omelets. I really feel that the food at bean counter is not very good. I had a mini quiche and when I say many I mean small with a very wiggly Cross that was obviously made the day before and microwaved. If you want a good piece of quiche dont eat there. I recommend Ginger Sues in Lees Summit really wonderful peace. I had numerous different things at the encounter we love the view but I really feel of the food products are all just bready. Im not much to cut substance. That little grape salad that comes with things is hilarious its like 5 grapes sprinkled with sugar Im diabetic and so that one just goes in the trash. How about a piece of real fruit folks is it that high? Like a slice of beautiful cantaloupe. They sell fruit inside if you cant find any walk through those double doors and buy some.

Love this place! The coffee and coffee beverages are always so delicious. The dining room is cozy and quaint. The food is always exceptional. The staff are helpful and courteous.Honorable mention here would be the wide variety of gluten free baked goods. The GF versions are brought in by another bakery (although they do bake and offer their own delectable baked goods here as well) and are absolutely delicious. You cant tell there GF. My husband is gluten intolerant and this place is an excellent choice for us. We like to go as a family for brunch but Ive also meet friends here for coffee.I cant wait until the weather gets warmer so we can sit outside in the garden.Highly recommend!
