Sloan is THE single most talented artist Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Ive had tattoos done by several artists in the past, and she is the only person Ive returned to. I still dont believe shes only been tattooing for a year, and I cannot wait until shes the most renowned artist in the High Country, and maybe even the state. Shes also incredibly kind and gracious and such a joy to spend the day with. I would literally put myself into a lifetime of debt to continue getting my work done by her. It would be absolutely worth it. I constantly look forward to the next piece shell do for me. I cant wait until we finish my sleeve and every other piece we do together.

I received my second tattoo here yesterday (Oct. 6, 21) and wow was it so much fun! My tattoo artist Sloan (@NAOLS on Instagram, check out her work!) was absolutely lovely and such a blast to talk to while she did my tattoo. Everyone who came in was lovely, it was just such a great and cozy environment that welcomed me and my goofy questions. You really can’t ask for a better place to get tattooed, and especially for the price. Worth every penny and second!

Took less than a hour and was done greatly! This was my first tattoo and I was very pleased with the workers and the cleanliness of the place. I did think it was a little pricey for just a simple outline. But I would definitely recommend and plan to go back!

This was a very professional appointment. I walked in and was immediately attended to. The workers were all very nice and social which made me feel much more comfortable. The piercing process was easy and my piercer talked me through everything, making sure I was calm and knew what was going on. This was amazing and not to mention, the prices were incredible. I paid $30 for a nose piercing including the titanium jewelry used. Highly recommend.

I had my tattoo done by Sloan. I got a little palm tree on my pinky. She was super friendly and definitely calmed my nerves. She did a great job with the tattoo, it’s super thin and outlined really well which I like for finger tattoos. She wasn’t using too much pressure so it didn’t hurt as bad as some other tattoos I’ve gotten. I highly recommend going to her :)

I’ve been to Noble three times within the past couple weeks and it’s been amazing every time!! Chelsea did a great job on all of my piercings (navel, conch, nostril, industrial) and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. Sloan did an absolutely AMAZING job on the tattoo I got on Sunday, whipping up the perfect design on short notice & gave me my favorite tattooing experience so far- she really took her time & put a lot of work into giving me exactly what I wanted. Ive gotten piercings at Noble before and had good experiences, so I wanted to have my first tattoo done there. Had the consultation over a month in advance with Georgia (had looked into her work and really liked it), put down the payment for a small, simple forearm tattoo (no shading or color, just an outline) over some scars, explained that it had a lot of meaning to me. All was well and appointment was booked. Today I arrived for my appointment, only for the artist to have not only booked another appt for the same time, but had me down for the wrong day AND a completely wrong tattoo. The artist barely seemed concerned and offered to try and squeeze me in before they closed, but I was no longer comfortable with the idea of her tattooing me, especially in a rush and because of the importance this had to me. I got my money back, but I’m still very surprised and disappointed by how unprofessional this was. I definitely will not be coming back for any services in the future. :(

Sloan did a rib tattoo for me and was amazing. She made sure that it looked amazing and the writing was perfect. She also touched up a bad tattoo I had. I got so many compliments on it and was told it looked amazing after she fixed it. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to noble for all my tattoos for the past couple months and I absolutely love it!! I usually see colin and he does great but this time I saw a young lady named Sloan and she killed it!!! Nearly crushed her foot trying to save me from falling off the chair lolllllll. Overall thought she was super quick and thorough, clean straight lines, and she works with you during the tattoo making sure you get every single detail the way you envisioned. Truly talented artist and such a pleasant person to be spending 5-7 hours with 💕

Got my ears pierced here roughly 4 weeks ago. Extremely friendly atmosphere, and my piercer was very understanding of my anxiety/trembling, and it only took a few minutes. They also gave me a paper with clear instructions on how to care for the piercings while they heal for 6-8 weeks, and I have had no problems so far. Overall an amazing experience!

Took my daughter here for her 17th birthday gift. She got an industrial and a nose piercing. The piercer was fantastic! Very informative, let you know exactly what she was doing, was very professional and pain was very minimal. Infact, she was so good, I got a tragus and daith piercing myself. Aftercare was explained throughly and they even do free jewelry exchanges! Highly recommend for piercings.

The piercing wait list is a complete joke. Have been on it more than once for them to say “we won’t have time to get to you”. Well okay, why did you tell me you would have time and to go ahead and put my name on the list? I had to call to find out, they didn’t call me and let me know. Almost 2 hours wasted waiting for them to call me in. I live 30 minutes from town so there’s no way I could go home and wait.

I went in on Friday, August 20th and scheduled an appointment for 5pm on Tuesday August 24th. Once I went in for my appointment I was embarrassed at the door and was informed that they didn’t even take appointments and that I could wait but that there was no promise that they would get to me that day. The woman who took my name had her photo on the wall, so I assumed I’d be well taken care of. How does an employee have their photo on the wall and still not understand the business? Why did they tell me to come in Tuesday at 5 if there wasn’t even an option for appointments? Complete and utter waste of time.

Chelsea pierced my nose and it was so quick and easy! She’s very nice, friendly, and professional. Would definitely recommend getting a piercing there!

Got 2 ear piercings here in October, terrible job. The piercings healed fine but they were pierced at a downward angle, causing my earrings to point up and making it extremely difficult to get some earrings through the hole

Absolutely the best experience I couldve had, being new to tattoos. About three months ago I got one on my bicep. Waited to review, because I wanted to see how well the tattoo held up (which it did!).First time around, I walked in with my tattoo already laid out and ready to go.Went back in day before yesterday for my second tattoo, this time a custom piece, by Colin. Had a quick consultation a couple weeks ago where I had brought in other tattoos that I liked, and basically told him I want this, this and this from these, and then of course add your own style to it. He took some time last week to get the outline drawn up.Was blown away by what he came up with, and it felt just as epic to get put on.Not only are the tattoos awesome, but the overall experience was super chill and casual, and I can tell that Colin absolutely knows what hes doing and loves it. It easily put down any first tattoo nerves that I had the first time around, and then this second time was just as great. While Colin is the main person Ive worked with as the artist for both of my tattoos, the whole team is super friendly, and Im certain that theyre at the same standard!Cant wait for the third time!

Love the owners tattoo styles, its different from what youd usually expect around Boone. All the artist there have a refreshing vibe that makes me hopeful the shop will be around for a good, long time. Yeah, its a small shop but Im always SO impressed how Nikki and Allison are able to hold back the chaos while still being respectful and professional, MAD RESPECT YALL. They have done a total of 5 piercings for me now and each time they have been so fast but also patient. I’ve had times when two piercings were being done and they waited until I was ready for the second one before continuing. They also can answer any question you throw at them (even the dumb ones). They’re really greatly priced and a great shop too. Everything is clean and organized. They are following COVID guidelines amazingly in order to keep their customers and themselves safe. I can’t say enough great things about them!

I had both nostrils pierced by Allison. I was a walk-in, but I only had to wait a couple of minutes for her to come downstairs. She was super clean and positioned them perfectly, and while it hurt a bit more than I expected (I had only had ear lobe and cartilage piercings up until today), it didnt hurt long. When she was done she showed me how to properly clean them. Very happy overall!

So I went almost two months ago to get my nipples pierced. Allison did them and she did an absolutely fantastic job. Went back today to get some rings put in and was just amazed by the punctuality and professional service. Will be back for more work soon!

What can I say but Amazing, it is always a pleasure to get tattooed by Colin at Noble Tattoos & Piercings. His attention to detail and positive attitude make it the Best in Boone.

This is going to be long, but it’s worth the read.I realize that I can’t speak for the entire shop, but I certainly would not recommend Jerry. I sent him a very detailed explanation of what i wanted in my tattoo, with pictures included, the day i made my appointment. (First three pictures are of description and inspiration pictures i emailed him). The next day, when I came in for my tattoo, I had to wait 40 minutes for him to read the email and draw out the tattoo. Compared to everything else this is a minuscule issue, but it was still annoying. All was well once the outline of my tattoo was done, but things went south quickly after that.He apparently remembered incorrectly me saying that i wanted a good bit of shading, and did not feel the need to verify this with me before putting it on my body. I also asked to only have the lavender purple in my tattoo and the rest non colored. He then instead of asking, assumed that the leaves on my lavender sprigs were supposed to be purple when they (i though obviously) were leaves. I could understand a male not knowing the anatomy of lavender but if he didnt know, he should have asked me what parts were purple!!! I thought i could trust my tattoo artist so i was not looking during the process and i did not notice the shading until it was done and caught the purple leaves after he had only finished one side. (Fourth picture is the tattoo i left Noble with after it had healed).Even after all of this, I wasnt going to post a negative review because technically it was a mistake (despite the fact that he should have verified every aspect of the tattoo with me before putting it on my body), and i could tell he felt bad about it. However afterwards, I found out he was either extremely wrong about, or lied about, how easy (or not) the process of fixing his mistakes would be. He told me i could get the purple leaves tattooed over with nude color once every month, 4 times total, and it would be like it never happened.LUCKILY i am not from Boone, so I went to consult with another artist in Greenville, NC when it came time for my first supposed touch up within the process of fixing my tattoo. I obviously was told by even the receptionist at the Greenville shop that you cannot take away from a tattoo, only add.I was also told that Jerry scarred my skin by going over my purple leaves with nude immediately after tattooing them purple. He was more worried about covering his ass than my wellbeing. Jerry even suggested and had me considering the quick fix of coloring the leaves in black, which would have looked absolutely terrible upon reflection. If I did live in Boone and followed Jerrys plan, I would probably have ended up with half of my lavender leaves very scarred and still purple tinted. What’s almost comical is that when I had asked Jerry about putting green over the purple, he said the colors would mix and make the leaves brown. Yet he told me nude could cover purple.But anyways, Thanks to the shop in Greenville, I now have green leaves in both sides, although the non-purple side is brighter while the ex-purple side is darker with purple around the edges still. (Fifth picture NOT JERRYS WORK) I am hopeful that the purple can be completely covered and the brightness of the green evened out after another session or two. However I will be stuck with the dark shading i never wanted and that doesnt even make sense in terms of light perspective forever, unfortunately. I walked into noble wanting a delicate, minimally shaded and minimally colored tattoo. I now have a very heavy and colored tattoo.At least after the work in Greenville, it now looks normal to others (who dont consider light perspective), and Im thrilled to almost no longer have purple leaves (no thanks to Jerry), but it’s still far from what I wanted. Which is what matters.I’ve seen proof that jerry can do good work.But if you are working with an even semi original idea, not 100% straight from a preexisting image, proceed with extreme caution.

My boyfriend and I are visiting Boone for the weekend and wanted to get some kind of souvenir since we’re celebrating his birthday and our anniversary, and tattoos were the perfect idea for us. We stopped by around 1 to put our names on a Walk-Ins list and were called around 4 to do the tattoos. Joe was our artist for both tattoos, a moth and a switchblade, and both turned out amazing. He was so personable and very talented. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The shop is on the smaller side but the friendliness of the artists makes up for it!!

I was in Boone for about 36 hours and really wanted to get a tattoo as part of my journey. Not only was Noble able to get me right in, I now have an amazing spiderweb on my elbow that Jerry busted out in no time. Great tattoo shop with a chill atmosphere, great people and conversation. Their piercer had a steady flow of customers while I was there. I definitely will be back the next time I am in town and highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a tattoo in Boone. Peace

My husband and I came in as walk-ins. The staff there was very friendly and welcoming. They fit us right in. The atmosphere was great, and a very clean environment! Our tattoo artist was Gerardo (Jerry). He did such a great job, and in a timely manner. Little to no pain for both of our tattoos. We will definitely return next time were in Boone! Not the best place to get a piercing, but the tattoos are good.The piercings were sterile and done with a single use needle (all good!), however I was pierced with the wrong gauge needle and was given a butterfly back stud for healing, which is a big no no for any piercing other than lobes.I didn’t know any better at the time. Thankfully, it has healed well with no problems other than the hole now being too small for me to wear most cartilage jewelry. Live and learn.

Not only are the artists amazing to work with, but the artists are wonderfully skilled as well. I have been tattooed several times by a couple artists at Noble and I am pleased with their work. Although we decided to get a set of matching tattoos last minute, we had called the shop to ask if they had any availability for a last minute appointment. They had told us over the phone that the tattoo could be done the next day and to stop in to go over design details so it would be prepared for the next day. We drove to the shop to go over the tattoo with an artist only to be told we couldn’t be fit into their day tomorrow and that we couldn’t get our tattoos. We had to frantically search around for another shop because we were under the impression that we had an appointment ready to go, and nearly couldn’t get them done. Very happy we switched shops to a more friendly, laid back environment.
