This is the best store hands down for your outdoor adventures. It is family owned and the owners are beyond helpful. Can’t recommend enough!

Hands down the BEST outfitter store in the area. We were preparing for a backpacking trip and the owner provided us with local insight on the best trails to hike and a free trail map of the area (which came in handy on our backpacking trip). Amazing customer service, and love how it’s family owned. Look no more!

Waypoint is always on-point. Their selection has grown dramatically since opening a few years ago and they have unique gear/clothes you wont find in the other shops in town (along with everything else youd expect/need for a backcountry trip). The staff is legit as well. I always walk out with something when I stop by.

Good establishment. I cant hold their ammo policy against them due to the national issues with munitions. Everything else about my experience there has been grand.

I had to get a hiking pole so I swung in here really quickly and the lady helped me out tremendously as I have no knowledge of them. She also gave me suggestions on hiking trails as our plans to hike on the BRP were swayed since it was closed. I highly recommend this place!!

This place is amazing! The customer care was extremely impressive! I’m the worst with names, but our sales rep spent so much time just helping me to find the right fit in hiking shoes, since I’ve been getting awful blisters in mine. She probably spent 30 minutes getting me in different styles and sizes, offering expert advice and being genuinely kind and engaged with me! An incredibly impressive locally owned and operated business!!!

We were visiting the area from Virginia Beach, VA and stumbled in Waypoint. Let me tell you, the staff was amazing!! I ended up buy 2 face masks from there and returning the next day to buy more! The staff could’ve sold me water and I would’ve come back for me just because my experience was amazing! We will be coming back!

We popped in to pick up a couple of last minute items before our camping trip in the area. We were also interested in finding out more about the hiking around the area and the lady working at the time (Maddie I believe, could be mistaken it was 3 weeks ago) was so incredibly helpful. She took the time to give us a great list of different places to visit and was as excited for our trip as we were. She definitely made our trip to the NC mountains better than what we were expecting. Sorry if I got her name wrong, I should have wrote this 3 weeks ago after we left there.

Came all the way from Greenville SC to purchase a kayak. Katy was really helpful in the phone and kept contacting me with updates about the kayak since day 1. I wish I was a little closer to do more business with you guys but I appreciate everything you did to make get my kayak on time happen ! I hope to one day visit the store

A great new Outfitter Store. Its a fairly small store, but its filled with some great outdoor hiking, kayaking and just spending time outdoors clothing. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and welcoming. We enjoyed our shopping experience. The prices were fair and the selections were good.

I have nothing but good things to say about this store. I somewhat spontaneously bought a backpacking stove because half-way through the drive my buddy realized he had forgotten his and I had been wanting to get one anyways. Both staff members I spoke with were very friendly and clearly knew the products well. I even got the stove for less than its listed at the other outdoor retailer where I had originally done some research on it! I dont live in Boone, but I will definitely come by next time Im in town.
