I have already recommend these guys to 10 people who have interest in starting their through hike from Georgia to Maine. I love Footsloggers. I buy local whenever I can, and put slawgers is a fantastic outdoor sports store. Their staff is knowledgeable and patient, their prices are relatively reasonable, and they always have a good selection of top-notch gear. The thing I really like about footsloggers, is that they are happy to take Tom to help you with fittings for shoes or backpacks oh, and they dont press a lot of gear you dont need on you.

Accidentally stumbled on this great store while having lunch in Boone. Decided to stop in a try on some hiking boots for an upcoming trip. Anna was beyond helpful. Her one-on-one customer service was so awesome and helpful, along with her personal knowledge and options. I didn’t plan on actually buying when I first walked in and Anna not only changed my mind, but got me fit with the perfect boots for my upcoming adventures!
Super friendly place. Had exactly what I wanted. Helpful staff, took me directly to the gaitors and showed me how to wear them. He also made sure they fit properly. A bit pricey, but only quality items in the store, which is cheaper in the long run.

While my husband and I took a quick getaway trip to finally see boone we also decided to go for a hike. We love to hike and mostly in spring in fall. Well we ventured out to moses cone and quickly realized we DID NOT HAVE CORRECT SHOES!! Well we came across footsloggers and we had the pleasure of Sophias help. We told our story and she listened,asked a few questions, check our sizes and brought us some shoes to try. I loved the Oboz and my husband loved his Salewa.. they fit perfect, and I found me some pants on sale. We broke them in the next day on a 6 mile hike. Both of our shoes were perfect. Thank you Sophia for all your help...btw- I now know why they won small business of the year..
Excellent one-on-one service. I went in to shop for womens hiking boots, and the Shoe Expert, Sheila, took care of me, measured my foot in every way imaginable, made sure I was educated about the proper socks, and even showed me methods to effectively putting on and tying my shoes. She worked with me to meet my needs based on my feets shape and size, as well as the kind of activities I plan to do. The first pair she brought out was perfect, but I tried on a second pair just for comparison... There was no need - she knows so much about each styles fit and features that her first suggestion was best. Also, the selection was large enough to meet a wide variety of customers needs, but small enough to keep from overwhelming the customers. Even though it was half an hour until closing time on a Friday, all of the staff members were excited to see me, and engaged in my needs. Customer service like this is hard to find in Boone. Highly recommend Foosloggers for outdoor gear needs.
