No DONUT HOLES...WHAT? Krispy Kreme of Boone needs to step up their donut game. The lobby is NOT open to customers. Drive thru ONLY! Time to open up your business to the public. The drive thru was s l o w. The employee didnt even know what they did with the center of the donuts when asked. 😉 Enjoy!

This Krispy Kreme store SUCKS! I’ve long been a fan of Krispy Kreme, but my experience at the Boone, NC, store was unacceptable. Their dining room is closed, so drive thru was my only option. They have outdoor seating in front of the store. It was a shambles but I used it anyway. As for the donuts I bought, they sucked…not fresh at all. I ate them but they didn’t measure up to the standards of other KK stores I’ve patronized before. After choking down a couple donuts, washing them down with hot chocolate, I looked around for a trash can. Much to my surprise they did not have one. I went to the drive thru window and asked if I could give the attendant my KK trash. She refused on the basis of the pandemic. I might add that her manner and tone bordered on disrespect. I STRONGLY recommend avoiding this store.

Stopped at this Krispy Kreme, September 28, 2021 in Boone NC as I had been here a year ago. Got to the front door found it to be locked.... only the drive thru was open. A little strange that all the other restaurants, ice cream shops, etc were open for inside dining or carryout but Im beginning to see this type of tren often. So I really wanted to try the newly advertised cinnamon roll they currently were selling and reluctantly went to the drive thru. Got my order and went to a nearby park to try the cinnamon roll but was a little disappointed as it didnt look much at all the way the photo on the drive thru listing board. Another reason I dont care for drive thru. Also they provided no napkins however the person working the drive thru was very nice. I did eat the cinnamon roll and a regular glazed donut which were delicious. My main point here is most people going to pick out bakery items like to see or pick out the items rather than drive thru. Plus they may even buy more.... better for business..🤔

No hot and ready first thing in the morning

I am not one to rant but this is the second time I have been the KK in Boone and both times they do not have anything that I ask for( But the doughnuts are advertised on the menu board). Went there today hoping they would have some assorted mix for my family and assorted mix for some friends. Again I tried to order the pumpkin spice, original crepe filled, apple fritters, AND chocolate iced with cream filled. Every one I would ask for I was told we don’t have that, four different items!! So I just told them never mind I will go someplace else for now on! Hope you get some better employees that will keep your doughnuts made all day so people can buy them… RANT Over!

They never have anything that I want! Very seldom do they have specialties such as any cake. Whats up with that?? Went by today to get pumpkin spice and they said they dont have them this week and in fact they dont haveany cake doughnuts! any cake

Really nice staff - ask for discount of the day and you might get 1/2 off another dozen. Of course the downside is you have too many doughnuta!

I have tried to get a raspberry filled donut for the past week now with no success. They have also been out of like 5 other flavors consistently every single time I’ve went, including original. I just want a raspberry filled donut man.

When you see that hot and ready sign lit thats your signal to get in there and take care of business! Staff was pleasant and some customers who were in the store paid it forward by giving us some coupons to use! Hope the chain continued after we played our part. Nevertheless, I dont have a single complaint from our visit today. Oh, and the hot chocolate is also pretty good 👌

This KK is not like any other I have been to…always out of drinks donuts etc. and you ALWAYS have to ask for a napkin. The service is slow and the employees are not friendly….poor management.

They dont have hot fresh donuts during the hours the website says and I follow these times being I live out of town. They are almost always out of some of the flavors I request. The last time I got a filled donut, I barely got any filling and the donuts were dry and stale. They always have trouble with my Krispy Kreme rewards. They always look closed so its hard to figure out if they are even open. This place used to have great, fresh donuts and they actually had filling in them. Im so very disappointed, I could buy a box of Krispy Kreme donuts in the grocery store and get them fresher. Thats so sad.

I was 22 years old and has just been introduced to the love of my life: a hot, fresh, plump, succulent, Krispy Kreme original.Fast forward 15 years, I try to eat healthy but theres no fighting the lure of that Hot-Fresh-Now sign.Tonight, while driving my wife and three young children through winding roads toward our vacation destination in Blowing Rock, NC, we pass by a familiar sign and we have to turn back.We were all excited for the Krispy Kreme experience but we were not prepared for the deception that lay in wait for us all.We ordered a dozen assorted donuts (the kids just HAD to have the spring specials) upon taking that first bite I knew something was amiss. I was expecting it to be soft, sweet and crispy. I was expecting it to melt in my mouth.Instead, it was chewy and hard and nothing like a normal Krispy Kreme.My wife asked if they were reheated and the girl at the counter replied that they were.But what about the HOT NOW sign? Doesnt that mean you just made them?, my wife said inquisitively.Well, theyre hot, was the only reply.This isnt only deceptive, its damaging to the brand. How can we trust anything, if even Krispy Kreme will lie to save a buck.

$10 for 6 donuts. Plus didnt even get my order correct. When I went back I got what felt like the 3rd degree for not ordering properly. Dont know what I could have done differently. I read verbama what the donuts I wanted off there menu not once but twice to confirm.

3 dozen of these bad boys set us right. Glad we dont have a Krispy Kreme near our home so its a real treat when we do luck up on one. Employees were very nice and the donuts lived up to the hype.

Krispy Kreme always ranks high in my book. But at our home Krispy Kreme they have set times for the Hot an Ready Light. This location does not and seemed inconvenienced when we asked about the Hot and Ready times.

Less than happy here!For three almost four weeks now I’ve been going to Boone Krispy Kreme trying to get ANY of the special doughnuts and can never! They never have anything at all to choose from & are less than thrilled to tell you about that! This place needs help. There’s plenty of local bakers I’ll start spending my money at

Its a very nice, clean and well-kept store. The staff were prompt, the seating area clean. The selection is a little less than my local store, but its also smaller. We really liked the decor and would certainly visit again.

Went to this location around 11:30 am today. Lord the lady at the counter was awful. I told her at least 6 times what I wanted and she still ask again. Got to register and I had to tell her again I wanted 2 mini donuts an I had already told her everytime j repeated what I wanted. 2raspberry filled, 2 chocolate Kreme filled, 2 reese creme filled and 2 mini. Got home 45 /50 min away and had 2 lemon instead of raspberry and the reese filled bith had hair on them.. never again will I visit that place.

Cashier Emily shorted me 27 cents, didn’t offer any apology or explanation. Claims they were out of cake batter, strawberry sprinkles and Reese’s at 8pm though the store closes at 10pm. Cashier was not pleasant.

Very nice building lots of different doughnuts every week or so. This is my work site so i know the place well.

This is by far the worst Krispy Kreme location we’ve ever been to (and we’ve been to lots!). We’ve given it a try numerous times through the years. They’re constantly out of MANY varieties (even though they appear a lot less busy than any other KK location I’ve seen). Staff act like they just don’t care. Yesterday sealed the deal, however: not only were they out of donuts, but the women’s restroom was out of order, and the men’s restroom was clogged. No cleaning or work being done, even though the staff were LITERALLY just standing around talking since they didn’t have any donuts to sell. So it’s pretty obvious there is a serious lack of management at this location. The facilities are not being maintained at all.

Cant be bothered to make chocolate donuts on chocolate Friday. The hot light is almost never on. when the website says chocolate Friday, which tracking down is now a pain, because they move it around, you should make CHOCOLATE DONUTS!

Ordered a dozen, 6 chocolate iced Kreme filled, 6 Freedom Ring which are supposed to be Kreme filled. We received 6 chocolate iced Kreme filled and 6 patriotic sprinkles which are cheaper and not Kreme filled. First world problems, but check your doughnuts before driving away.

We came here for the free coffee and donuts so we did not purchase anything. Donuts were tasty and the coffee was alright. Definitely wouldnt buy the coffee in the future but the donuts are well worth it. My daughter loved it and loved the hat they had out.

Ordered a the signature donut from the drive through menu. Received a glazed. return to the store to be told they were out and thought you would like glazed.

Oh my. DONUTS at this location are huge. Fresh and delicious. Servers were so friendly. Got a dozen assorted and they were so good. Priced right. Id recommend.

Disgusting coffee

The staff was polite, and friendly.I was however was very disappointed that the donut selection was below what I would normally expect. Most amazing was the response when I inquired about chocolate cake donuts. We dont have those, I have never seen them For me this is a first in many visits to many locations in many States.

Nice staff with a quick drive-thru, the only issue I find with them is that they don’t scan your rewards card, but you can give them your phone number. Not a bad Krispy Kreme to visit.

This particular Krispy Kreme is a good choice. Hot donuts are always good but the coffee is always fresh as well. It is hard to beat a hot fresh donut and fresh coffee!

This is one of the worst Krispy Kreme locations. The donuts have a tendency to taste day old and if you order anything cream filled, theres no guarantee it will have anything in it. I have always been a Krispy Kreme fan but I avoid this location. The product is not the usual Krispy Kreme standard.

Just ran through four something sweet the service was very good. I have stopped at the same one before in the mornings and picked up up to four dozen donuts and the service has been just as straight and with a smile. I dont like donuts but I get them for the folks at work and everybody loves Krispy Kreme.

This is a fantastic and wonderful place....when the sign is on you should come running. The doughnuts are so warm and fresh they actually melt in your mouth... No chewing necessary. The location is clean and well maintained. The staff seems to be super friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit high for dessert but totally worth it.

We keep coming back for warm and fresh donuts but the donuts are ALWAYS cold and not fresh. Taste like they were made last week and store donuts taste better. Never have their hot and ready sign on, very disappointed

I keep giving this store multiple second chances & it doesn’t seem to get any better. Lack of help, lack of speciality donuts & not training the employees gets annoying. So I would not recommend visiting without calling ahead.

No matter what time of day that weve ever arrived here, the donuts are extremely fresh and exceptional. We bought a dozen filled and got a dozen plain free. The filled donuts were filled to the limit. Some locations in other cities and towns, youre lucky to more then a token amount of filling. Weve never had that problem here at all. Also, months ago when we were at this same location, the computer registers were down and they just gave us two dozen donuts for the inconvenience. THAT tells you a lot about the management there. Our favorite location for donuts.

This is the second time in 2 weeks that I purchased donuts that were not hot. Once was at 8 am on a Sunday, the second time was about 9:30 am this morning. The HOT SIGN WAS ON. I have never had this experience at any other Krispy Kreme in the 20 years I have lived in NC, Extremely disappointed. I dont drive, have to make plans in advance and cannot just go back in to return them. Wont be going back.

Great service and super fun to take the kids. Children love watching them make the doughnuts. They always have some hot and ready. Coffee is amazing and the staff is always friendly.

The only time I pass up a Krispy Kreme red light is when the establishment has it on like Florence South Carolina 24 hours a day. I had to stop since the light was on here and I just went through the drive-through and got a dozen. I asked for the hot ones and I watched through the drive-thru window as she got them right out of the oil and put them in the box. They were hot and delicious in the car!

Good place to go for a tasty treat (s)! Make sure you have their app as you can earn points and then redeem them for free food (you are losing money if you dont have the app). If the hot and ready sign is on, you can get warm doughnuts. This place usually gets a bit crowded in the evenings as the college students head over.

We love the doughnuts here but they never have any. Went today and over half were “sold out for the day”. Came a month ago and they had sold out of every doughnut and said they would not make any more.

This place doesn’t even deserve a star! Came two times on two different days and they had no original glazed doughnuts. How does a Krispy Kreme not have original glazed doughnuts!!!

Must have been a rush on doughnuts in Boone today. Saturday night at 9:30 they only had about 3 flavors of doughnuts? You get more options of flavors at the gas station.

Scrappy pushy service, so much so couldnt even speak to my husband without being pushed to finish with the order. Good donuts but get rid of the pushy unhappy girl.

Love those Hot Krispy Kreme now. Great service in a relatively new facility. Management is responsive to customer suggestions-can now get my favorite apple fritters in the evening as well as before lunch.

On the day that you buy a dozen & get a dozen glazed for $1, they were out of glazed. We arrived at 2 pm & they said it would be 5 pm before they had any. Not nice people on the drive thru window, & lobby was closed. Not smart moves for such a good business. Had to even ask for a bag!!

A pleasant surprise!I visited the Boone, NC, Krispy Kreme recently, after only popping into a KK once or twice over the years -- and it proved quite enjoyable, every bit as satisfying as a normal coffee shop or bistro. There was espresso available, and the staff even obliged my request for an iced Americano (and with a smile, I might add). Whats more, I found myself grooving on the retro-50s-diner vibe, with Sinatra on the stereo and super-shiny-silver everything. Plus: big, comfy, welcoming leather chairs, which were waiting for me once Id gotten enough of the deck and wanted some music and AC. A clean bathroom didnt hurt things, either.In the end, I spent a long, delightful lunch hour at the place -- and I liked it so much, I found myself right back there the next day. Chances are, Ill be back someday, for round three.Big thanks to all the good folks at this Krispy Kreme, for enabling my wonderful little luncheons. Keep it up :-)

Just bought a dozen donuts and got a dozen glazed free! They were wonderful, so fresh and warm! Also bought 2 oreo chillers, which I had not tried yet. They are really good as well!

I was in the store in Boone N.C. today Jan. 8. I ordered 6 donuts and a small hot chocolate. At that time the employee told me they were out of small cups would a medium size cup be ok I said yes, paid for my food. When I got to the car and tasted the hot chocolate it was cold and not mixed up good. It was absolutely nasty. Wasted my money on that cup of nasty.

I love it when the hot now light is on. Love all their donuts.
