5 years ago I moved into a house and had to furnish it. I went to Redekers and I was met by Richard, my salesman. He was so helpful in making sure I had what I needed - I went back a second time and again he helped. He has gone Above and Beyond what a typical salesperson would do - In my Opinion.Fast forward 5 years and I moved to Florida. I’m that move the movers split a leg on my dining table and I was Crushed!! I called Redekers - Richard is still there, Thank God! He pulled up my file - saw what table I had and made a call to the manufacturer and he is actually able to replace the leg for me!! I don’t have to get a new dining set! I am SO Happy and SO Thankful to Richard for all his help! I would recommend Redekers and Richard to anyone looking for quality products & caring salespeople.

My boyfriend and I chose Redekers to purchase our first mattress together for our new apartment. Our experience couldn’t have gone any better!! Tommy was our salesman and was so informative and helpful the entire time (and was SO patient as we tried out mattresses for over an hour- seriously, he was a saint). We struck gold finding our dream mattress on a major sale for $500. We also found an amazing headboard and bunkie board combo that looks beautiful with it. We struck complete gold!!! We are just thrilled with our mattress and love how it matches the grey neutral tones of our new place. The movers who set up our bed were very professional and friendly as well. Excellent customer service, the highest quality furniture you can get in the state of Iowa. I truly cannot recommend Redekers enough!

Simply one of the best buying experiences I’ve enjoyed in a long time. Devin, our sales associate, was patient, caring, and even laughed at my humor. The owner, Mr. Redeker, was extremely accommodating. Something rare in today’s retail marketplace. We spent a shade over $5K and, we will be shopping with them again. I will say, I love Redeckers. Carol on the sales floor is lovely. We work with her every time we go there. She is so helpful and truly wants you to love your purchase and works with your budget. One frustration is that we spent almost $9,000 on new furniture between 2 visits and were charged separate delivery fees for each room. That really adds up. We purchased our master bedroom and dining room furniture in the same day and were charged 2 delivery fees. I understand that they may not be delivered the same day, but that’s not our fault. We are clearly loyal customers. Whatever you purchase in a day should be a single delivery fee.

The salesman asked just the right question: Are you getting the help you need? My answer was an enthusiastic YES because my goal was only to stretch my legs and my stroll was unhindered by any sort of sales pitch. Plenty of floorspace and wide aisles lead through a smorgasbord of high quality furniture. The prices reflect this, so be prepared for sticker shock. So whether youre walking or buying this a great place to be.

Unfortunately I would give them ZERO stars but the review insisted on one. We purchased a $1,200.00 sofa early November 2020 and the sofa is falling apart already. The stitching is coming apart on the left arm and right seat. Along with the left side footrest foam coming out due to stitching coming apart as well. I have called customer service but they seem unable to help since the sofa is no longer one is stock. The store should know the sofa inventory number and know how to fix/replace or refund a customers money. This is extremely poor customer service.

Fantastic place to purchase quality furniture in Iowa! Been there several times and have purchased several pieces. It’s always been a pleasant experience and easy on the pocketbook, considering the quality of their solid hand made furniture. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly - never pushy. The ability to customize and the large selection of options makes Redeker’s an absolute no brainer for this guy. And it’s worth mentioning I’m an extremely particular shopper. I tell everyone I can it’s well worth the trip to Boone for furniture. And the folks who listen always thank me for the recommendation. Hard to find what you are looking for. Eventually did and it all worked out but it took two trips. One of their delivery guys clearly doesnt like his job but the other guy was very friendly.

We went to bobs discount furniture since we lived near by omg dont go there rude and over priced......I dont know why I even thought about anything else sorry redekers you are the best priced and your staff is always friendly and patient, love our new coach and bed.

I pretty much obsessed over a sofa for two or three months and finally made the trip - not that it’s that far from Des Moines. Sales staff were fantastic. They helped me figure out whether I’d be able to get the couch through my door. Transaction was quick and easy and the delivery experience was equally excellent. I bought it on a Thursday and it came a week from that Saturday. 10 minutes in and out and I absolutely love this couch. I will be shopping there again!!

Very pleased with the purchase of our 4 dinning room chairs. Lots of colors, styles, plus customization options for colors and stains as well. Nearly everything was made in the USA which is a huge plus in my opinion. The gentleman that helped us was patient and very helpful and not overbearing. I will definitely be giving them my business in the future.

When the handcrafted walnut dresser we ordered was not finished as we had expected, even though it was technically finished correctly, Grant worked to understand what we wanted, and went out of his way to make it right. The Redekers delivery team delivered and set up our dresser with great care. We are now proud to display our new family heirloom, exactly as we envisioned it.

The store itself is fine, nothing too flashy. The reason for my 2 star rating is simply my experience. We went in and bought a shelf and desk, we were told 10-12 weeks for it to be done. Week 14 came upon us with no call, no message about it being late, so decided to call in. Said it was still in production. Week 17 came and finally got a call that it was done and in the store. Set up a delivery for the following week. Get a call the morning of the delivery telling us the desk is the wrong color. So they had it an entire week and didnt check it to make sure it was in good order before shipping it out. Just overall disappointed with the lack of professionalism the place showed with this purchase, and will likely not be going back.

We recently purchased a Stressless recliner at Redekers, and we had a great experience! Our sales associate, Eric S, did a fantastic job helping us figure out which chair would work the best for us. No pressure at all, but always available to answer questions when we had some. When it came down to the color selection, he even pulled a component of the chair we took home and brought it into the store so we could make sure the color would work with the rest of our furniture. I love the chair, and we very much appreciate the helpful service we received at Redekers.

Excellent customer service. Very friendly and helpful staff. They make sure you are taken care of without harassing you. Huge selection and they do cost more but their products are higher quality than what you find in Polk County. Totally worth the drive out to Boone County.

Have made several trips to Redeker’s over past two years, and each time happy with service when browsing and purchasing. Now have furniture from Redeker’s in several rooms, and will be “go to” first choice when shopping in future. We tried out all kinds of chairs and sofas and settled on Smith brothers as they were the most comfortable. (as we were doing your typical Goldilocks test on most everything in the store). We were doubly delighted that Smith brothers is an American company out of Indiana. They are so well made. Its wonderful that Redeker carries Smith Bros. Weve had the furniture over a year now and are still impressed. Wonderful sales staff who took the time to listen to our concerns. Definitely would consider Redeker again in the future.

My husband and I went to Redekers January 3rd to look at living room furniture. The saleswoman was nice. I would have preferred to have looked on our own for awhile but she was helpful. We picked out a living room set from the storeroom floor. Chaise, couch and accent chair. We paid in full the same day. We were told it MAY be 4 to 5 weeks before the furniture arrived. It has now been 6 weeks and we havent received a single call or email from them explaining why it has taken so long. I have called several times and gotten nowhere. So we are still waiting. I wont recommend or shop there again.

We bought our kitchen table from Redekers and had an outstanding experience. The customer service is excellent! Whats great about Redekers is that you completely customize your furniture and they build it to your specifications, then deliver it to you. It took several weeks, but well worth it. Very high quality at an affordable price. We will definitely come back when we need more furniture!

After driving from Des Moines I had planned on buying a leather sectional and recliner, salespeople completely ignored us and even turned their backs on us. Very poor experience, maybe I need to wear a suit and tie to get helped?

Went shopping for a kitchen table and chairs. Had an idea of what we was looking for. Went to multiple places in the Des Moines area and was told Redekers should have what we are looking for, western/country style. They sure did have a nice selection, but ended up ordering what we wanted. Wanted quality and was over impressed; expected to pay the quality and sure did. Spent over $5k on a table and 8 chairs made from solid walnut. Best money spent cause it will last a lifetime and received many compliments. Will return for sure, and Im 2 1/2 hours from the store, but 45 minutes from Nebraska Furniture Mart.

Took a few minutes before someone helped us, which is nice if just looking; annoying if wanting to just buy and go.Most of the items looked to be good to very high quality. May have some of the more expensive furniture around, but looks like everything is made to last. Didnt see anything made of cheap (or even nice) particle board.Very good experience and will purchase from here again!

I bought a bedroom set and a kitchen island from them. When the furniture was delivered the driver told me they found that the dresser back had been damaged and had a large hole in it. I knew they had no more so I accepted it and was told that service would be out to repair it. I got a call on Monday from a person named Becky who said the same thing. I called back on Saturday since no one called to schedule the repair. I was told they had to order it from the factory and it takes a couple weeks. This is a fiber board back and a full sheet costs $6.48 at Lowes. They said they had to order it anyway from the factory. I got a message today (Monday) from Beckys supervisor who said it had to come from the factory so the stain color would match. The back was not stained or special, it was the brown fiber board they sell and use for furniture backs. I fixed it myself and have no need for customer service people that do not listen. The sales person, Lee was great to work with for the purchase. I would have bought more from here in the future and the delivery guys were great. Customer service is poor to say the least.

I bought a bed from them and it is to be delivered. It took over a week for the scheduled delivery and then the day it was to be delivered I got a call saying it was going to be two days later. It would have been better if they had called earlier in the day and I not already disposed of the old bed so now Im sleeping on the floor. Now instead of getting it delivered on my day off I have to take a day off. Very poor customer service, please spend your money somewhere else.

We are long time customers of Redekers. They have a wide variety of quality furniture at reasonable prices, attentive but not pushy staff, and they always show up on time for deliveries. What more do you need in a furniture store?

Excellent and durable bedroom furniture. The lady helping us look around at the furniture was extremely nice!However, the lady setting up our monthly payment plan was extremely rude to us and we about canceled our $5,000 worth of furniture due to this! (April 2016). Then in September 2016 I called to ask a simple question about the monthly payments and the lady on the phone was also rude and gave the attitude of what dont you understand? Everyone should understand this. I think Ill find a high quality furniture store somewhere else to furnish the rest of our home.Its too bad I had to give this a low review. The furniture is great but some of your employees need a different career.

If I could give them no stars I would. We ordered furniture and were given a delivery date. That date came and went with no phone call or follow up except on my end. I was then given a new delivery date...again no call and no furniture. I again called, was given a “promised” date by “one of the redekers”. That day came and went again with no follow up from my sales person. My call to them today and was told they had no idea when my furniture would be in because it comes from China. (Thought they boast they sell American made furniture). Order was cancelled and will never do business with them again! Buyer beware if they don’t have it on stock don’t buy it!!!

Got there today (Saturday) at 9:15 to beat the crowds and was thankful there wasnt, however I was shocked how far you have to park from door. Still excited and went inside to find the indoor temp was the same as outdoor minus the wind !! We even had two salespeople tell us to leave our coats on like it was a cute joke. Not a pleasant visit. Based upon selection we saw I see no reason to go back.

All the staff are incredibly nice. They will service, repair and fix furniture which is rare in the furniture world. Its not a big nasty corporation and you can actually talk to real people about any questions.

After shopping at numerous furniture stores in the DSM area, and actually making purchases at those stores, we went to Redekers looking for home entertainment furniture and coffee/end tables for our family room. We had a great shopping experience, with the just right amount of help given by the sales staff, and when needed, we received excellent advice and sales assistance from Richard, who assisted us in ordering these items to fit our exact needs. Our furniture has been ordered, but we were extremely happy with the service and support we received, along with the quality and craftsmanship of the products we ordered, which was better than other stores we had visited. Redekers sells only quality built furniture. The service my wife and I received from Greg picking out a bedroom set was excellent. Definitely worth the drive from Des Moines!

I want to clarify why we rated Redekers with only 2 stars. We special ordered a ottoman/bench. When we unboxed it to assemble it, we noted that the fabric was poorly stapled and that it was not aligned, offering gaps and fabric bunching. We added staples in an attempt to fix the fitting of the fabric. After we attached the 4 legs we noticed an immediate wobbling. We did not want to force the bolts so as not to strip the threads. I called Redekers and talked to Jean, Customer Service, and explained our disappointment with the ottoman. Jean was not helpful, responding that we probably stripped the threads. We made a special trip back to Boone, and their tech, Harlan, said that they were not stripped. Our disappointment lies with the lack of customer service and uncaring attitude (Harlan was very good though). Redekers should strive to make their customers happy with the furniture they purchase.

We have bought a lot of furniture at Redekers. Always very happy until our last purchase of a couch. The middle cushion is not firm and we told them about it and they said they couldnt do anything about it. So what do we do. I thought they always stood behind what they sell. Guess not.

Not only have we purchased a dining room table and other pieces of furniture from Redekers, but I had the opportunity to work for the Redeker family in their warehouse a few years ago during my time as an Iowa State student. Joe, Mike, Lori and Grant are all fantastic people who treat both their customers and employees with the highest level of respect. It was a pleasure working for their company and getting to interact with their loyal customers. Their competition down in Des Moines would like to have you think that Redekers is very high priced, however that is far from the truth. Like any informed consumer, I just recently browsed the selections of Homemakers and Slumberland as we were in the market for furniture and we found that Redekers was actually very price competitive, in many cases they offer much higher quality pieces at even better prices. Im convinced there is a reason this family business has been around for so many years, they take care of their family of customers and employees. Their new store is truly something to admire. I promise you, it is worth the drive...every time.
