I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Maxwell Gottfried who helped me and my daughter with some glasses. My young daughter was a little upset about having to get new frames and Maxwell handled it beautifully. He was calm, polite, professional and not pushy. He treated her respectfully and in the end we left very happy customers. I highly recommend getting your glasses with Maxwell!
This Target Optical is amazing! I know that Target might not be the first place people think of when they are looking for new eye glasses, but you really should. The eye exam was booked online, the optometrist was on time and efficient, and they emailed a prescription to my phone immediately. Katie helped me to pick out frames (they have quite a good selection) and she was so knowledgeable and helpful. I had picked out a bunch of frames to try on, but none were quite right. I described what I was looking for and she picked the perfect pair for me right away. She also was very easily able to tell me what my glasses would cost with and without various options. She really was so nice to work with. Less than a week later, I received a text saying my glasses were ready to be picked up. When I went to pick my glasses up, Max let me try them on, made sure they fit, and even put some anti-fog spray on for me to try out (because glasses + masks = fog). The spray works really well and I’m glad I bought some to take home. The whole process was really so easy and stress-free. I would highly recommend the Fenway Target Optical for anyone looking for new eye glasses.
I lost a screw on my glasses. They fixed it very carefully for me for free. Greatly appreciated.
I came in from out of town to fix a contact lens emergency just before the marathon. Max was knowledgeable and able to help me quickly and get me on my way. Thank you!
Max is the best, he was super patient, answered all my dumb questions, he’s amazing!!
Just received fantastic service with Max, he was very nice, patient and got me just what I needed. Thank you!!
Katie was wonderful, a pleasure and very very helpful.i would recommend her to everyone
Just had the worse eye exam. The optician I had was impatient and rude, complaining about how I was taking too long to fill out my paperwork. On top of being rude, she did not conduct a thorough exam and rushed throughout the whole process. I dont think I came out with the right prescription the contact lenses I was given felt weak but couldn’t discuss it because she kept talking over me and was insisting we finished the exam quickly. It seemed strange I was rushed considering there was no one else in the store waiting to be seen. The person I saw was completely unprofessional and provided poor quality service, I will not be coming back.
The optician that worked there did not even measure my height or PD the first time so obviously the glasses came out wrong. They aren’t qualified and are not knowledgeable. I had to return my glasses . Complete waste of time and opticians are just not able to measure and appropriately fit people so it makes me wonder why they are even there because I can clearly pick up my own frame. Do not recommend
First time at Target to get new glasses and had an excellent experience. The selection was terrific, the price was better than anywhere I had previously gone, and the service was stellar. I will be back.
Excellent customer service! The assistant that helped me with my prescription glasses! Was very knowledgeable, very informative she was great! I was very satisfied with my purchase.
Ive had glasses since the 1970s, and Ive never been as excited about a new pair of glasses as I am about the RayBans I got a couple weeks ago. I had retinopathy in my right eye a couple years ago, and, at age 56, thought I was doomed to spend the rest of my life with poor vision. As a photographer, that is a bleak future. I tried not to get my hopes up before my new glasses came in, but when they did, I was amazed at how good my vision is with them.I dont think Ive ever seen so well in my life, even before the retinopathy. Highly recommended.
Not sure why everyone is complaining. My time there was very quick and pleasant. Saw the doctor almost right away. She was very professional, gave me the correct prescription (which, by the way, is determined by YOU and NOT by the doctor. You’re the one saying “one is better than two” and “two is better than three” etc), and sent me on my way with a follow up appointment. If you have bad experiences everywhere you go, maybe it’s you who has the problem.
Definitely should allow to select 0 STARS as review. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE.Doctor appointment was fine, she tested thoroughly and listened to any problems I had. Staff at frames was unbelievable, Ken L. (bald guy) had a really bad attitude and he just kept talking about random prices and asked me to pay $200 for the glasses even when my insurance covered most of it.When I asked my insurance covers for frames and lenses are discounted then he was like (why are you wasting my time) and mentioned you have to choose a different frame. He didnt explain what type of lenses they have, what are the different upgrades I can choose. He basically selected the lens for me added all the upgrades and wants me to pay for it.Horrible experience and would never go to this store again..
Great customer service -Katie is amazing and she’s very knowledgeable. Dr Blair was also fantastic- warm, personable and thorough. Highly recommend!
I worked with KenFabio - he went above and beyond to help- he deserves recognition ( and a raise) for his customer service ( reminiscent of years ago ) . Thanks so much- if you ever dare to let him go - Tell me I will hire him - Dr . W. Zoe Stitt
I made my appointment on line, Dr. Whitney checked my eyes, his service was outstanding. He spent a good amount of time checking that everything was ok with my eyes. Very recommended.Rich helped me with my glasses, gave me recommendations on what to order, explaining differences, and helped me pick what I needed, and where to save money.
Tried to call multiple times (ready to make a purchase) with no answer, when they finally did answer 3 minutes before close I was told I could not place my order because their credit card machine has a chip reader and I need to be present. After confirming I’ve purchased them via phone at other locations the employee confirmed she didn’t want to process the order due to the time being too close to when they close. You have a paying customer on the phone ready to help you earn your pay check, before close. Do your job.
One month later and still no contacts. Communication from this place is NOT good and the Dr. is condescending. I was told my next trial would arrive in 1 maybe 2 weeks. Since they neglected to notify me when the prior trial pair arrived, I felt I need to be pro active about checking on whether theyve come in. Apparently this aggravates them. Now Ive been matter of factually informed they can take 2-4 weeks! I would never have bothered if I was told that upfront. I should have read the reviews on this place.
Up-front staff rude, took 3 separate visits before I got a prescription that didnt hurt my head. Doctor was condescending when I struggled to get lenses in for the first time. Left me hanging with no final visit for prescription confirmation. Listen to the other reviews here - awful.
Both the optometrist and eye specialist were super helpful. They will do everything in their power to make every as cheap as possible which is great, especially since Im sure that a large number of people who go there are college students, like me. My only problem was the lack of people working. There was only one person out front, and there were 3-5 people in the store at a time. Definitely not the fault of the people working though, as they were wonderful and super friendly.
Should be able to give no stars! Bald fat guy wanted me to pay $300 for the frames alone! They were upset i wanted tp try on frames first. You have to pay upfront they overcharged my insurance and still charged me the full amount! Glasses ugly and falling off my face! I can get better glasses at payne for $5.99l
I had a horrible experience with EZ Eyecare. I loved that scheduling online was easy and I was impressed that they sent me multiple texts and emails to confirm my appointment ahead of time. I confirmed my appointment and then called two days ahead of time to get an email or fax to send my records to. When I called I explained I had an appointment at 5pm on Friday . The receptionist then interrupted me by saying that it is impossible to have an appointment at that time as there are no doctors at 5pm. I explained to her that I made my appointment online and received many confirmations. She asked if I meant I had an appointment Saturday and I explained to her again, it was Friday at 5pm and I had many confirmations to prove it. She never apologized for THEIR mistake. She went quiet and then She asked if I wanted her to make me a new appointment and I kindly declined the offer. About a half hour later I received an email saying my 5pm appointment on Friday is now canceled. This was the worst experience I have ever had trying to schedule an appointment. I am so happy I called and didn’t show up to nothing. I will never give this place my business. Don’t make the mistake of booking with this place. Go to somewhere more organized that actually cares about your health and time!
I went in today for an eye exam. I thought it was going to be an entire process; but, I was in and out pretty quickly and the woman who helped me, even took the time to price out everything with my insurance and find the best frames with me. Very knowledgable, very nice, great service.
I picked glasses at the shop, friendly reps no pressure for lens optional upgrades. Order arrived in 3 days. Mobile notification was great as well.
I was so excited to order glasses from here. I even added several upgrades and protection on my lenses. The salesman told me it would take 10 days for the glasses to be delivered. 16 days later my glasses were still not delivered and claim there was “quality control error” and I’d have to wait another 2 weeks to receive my order. No one called me to communicate the delay or report any issue. I decided to cancel my order. I would rather take my money elsewhere. I recommend save your time and money and go to another optical store. I rarely write reviews but this was the absolute worst experience I’ve had and would never recommend this location or any Target for glasses unless you want to wait a month to receive your order.
Went twice for contact fittings and both times they prescribed contacts that were too large for my eyes. Sales guys there are great and helpful but dont go for contact fittings
No good. You give them the numbers, you get unusable lenses.
Mixed feelings about this place.Eliutt is the best - patiently helped me with picking the frames and gave great advice. He made the visit very enjoyable.Dr. Anoiske is the opposite. Out appointment was 11am. She came to work at 11 and took her time to watch a talk show first! The eye exam didnt start until after I went in to remind her of it. She didnt care to explain her prescription, which was later explicitly explained by Eliutt.I will visit this place again when a different doctor is available.
Excellent store. Elliott was super nice and a great help.
I made an appointment for the exam on 11/3 at 10 am and received confirmation notice via email from Target Optical on Boylston Street. I arrived the Optical around 9:50 am and found the Optical was closed. I asked Target employees including the employees working at the service center but got replied they knew nothing about the Optical because it is not part of Target. This experience made me confused. Also, I felt I was not respected enough due to no cancellation notice prior to my appointment or even no notice on the same day I arrived.
Very bad experience. The worst optometrist Ive seen in the past 13 years of wearing contacts. Very rude, unprofessional, barely examined my eyes. Was a huge mistake...dont go! Was seen by Dr. Anosike.
This is actually a full sized City Target
Had the most unprofessional and unpleasant experience. Doctor was rude and hardly examned my eyes before giving me a bad prescription. I ended up refusing to except the prescription and walking away mad.Avoid this place.
Says they open at 9 am Saturday but its 9:22 am...NOTHING! :/
Great customer service!
Worst optical I’ve ever been to.
I arrived on time for the eye exam. Have to waited about 10 minutes for the optometrist to buy Starbucks coffee, another 10 minutes to let her finish coffee. The eye exam last for 10 minutes, waited about 20 minutes after the appointment time. One of the most unprofessional experiences ever.
