Boulder Fermentation Supply is an amazing homebrew store with all the ingredients and equipment you could ever want. Being able to purchase custom amounts of specialty grains and mill everything onsite is a huge benefit that lets you get exactly what you want. And the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly to boot! Highly recommended.

Patient and knowledgeable staff. Bought all my fermenters from them including 6, 6gallon w lids and recently a 8 and 12 gallon i got used but at an amazing price and in great condition. When I was starting out the staff was very helpful and patient. Grains and dextrose are as good as anywhere youll find and usually you get a price break in bulk. Overall great dudes especially Adam who has helped me alot. Thanks fellas

My friend has all the equipment. I just wanted to gift him the materials for making a batch of IPA. They have kits of already boxed contents ready to go...ales, stouts, whatever you want.

Besides having an ample selection of brewing supplies, the woman working on 09/14/20 was helpful, knowledgeable, and very respectful. A patron walked into the shop without a mask and she immediately told them the policy and made sure they left immediately. Times are tough right now and being respectful seems to be a quality that is more and more in the minority.

Been coming here for about a dozen batches now.The staff is outstanding, knowledgeable and polite. They can offer help to beginners up to advanced brewers.Ingredients: Great grain selection, wide variety of hops and yeast (both Wyeast and White Labs) and you can tell they try hard to stay local! Overall, very pleased with the ingredient selection.Hardware: They have plenty of hardware to help rig your system right. Their prices can be a bit steep here but youre buying from a local shop, not online, so its expected. A lot of their kegging equipment seems a bit over priced.If you were to come across something you need, that they dont have(which is rare), you can bet the next time you stop by theyll have it. Just let them know what youre looking for and theyll get it in stock, no commitment necessary.Overall, great Boulder brew shop with great staff! I cant stress the friendliness of the staff enough. Will continue to go here batch after batch.

These guys are great for brewing help. Stopped in and had a couple intermediate questions answered with a smile. Always a pleasure to stop in and have a beer at Vision Quest after getting a batch or two worth of ingredients.

Everything you need to make beer. They even have hop starts if you really want to start from scratch. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have great beer nextdoor. Would absolutely go there again. Being dog friendly was a major plus.

Oh man these guys rock! Greg and Adam are so passionate about what they do and are always willing to help you find what you need for whatever project or brew you have going on. If they dont have it theyll find a way to get it and call you once they get it in. Great selection on everything from grain to hops. Oh and dont forget the brewery they just opened up attached to the store. This place it really coming along great. Always leaving a happy customer. Happy brewing.

Its less a store and more like Narnia for home brewers located inside a nondescript warehouse. And the owners really know what theyre doing, from mead and cider to the myriad wines and beers, these guys can always point you in the right direction. I try to run my recipes by them whenever Im in there and they always have great suggestions. Keep it up!

Despite the quirky location and set up, these guys kill it. Theyre passionate, they stock a lot of stuff (despite their location size) and they will even take your order over the phone or through email. All great for a busy person like me.

If youre trying to brew kombucha, this is a great place to start. I walked in completely uninformed and the staff were quick to help me and answer any question I had.The best part of the experience was that there were plenty of options, so I could have had a totally different starter kit. I was glad to have so many choices. I eventually settled on a glass gallon jar, some flip top bottles for flavoring/bottling the kombucha, cheesecloth and a funnel.

Very incompetent and terrible customer service. They can’t even fill a 12oz bottle of co2 properly. I have had repeated issues with them not having my soda mod bottles filled when they said they would and they broke one of my bottles as well. I realize they a brew store but seriously, how hard is it to fill a 12oz co2 canister? Might be great for brewing purposes but terrible for co2 fills

Boulder Fermentation Supply is definitely a new up and coming brew supply store. Soon to be the best in Boulder. As a previous customer of Hop To It I can say that I am a lot more satisfied with Boulder Fermentation Supplys grain and hop selection, and customer service. With a brewing genius like Adam there to help you no project is out of reach! Boulders home brews will soon be tasting even better!!!

After years of eager anticipation, there is FINALLY a decent brew supply store in Boulder.Owners are knowledgeable and friendly, product is fresh, nicely displayed and easy to peruse. Also very happy to see such a large selection of Colorado-grown malts and hops available for purchase. I have no doubt BFS will be my go-to brew shack from now on!

I had ordered a mash tun online, but it came with the wrong parts. I took it into them, and not only did they have all the parts I needed, he assembled the thing while we chatted with the bike repairman who shares the space.On first entering, the place seems a little sketchy; but dont let that put you off. I had a chance to look around while the guy was working, excellent selection of grains, hops, and equipment. Super friendly guys! Great place!

I needed a sankey keg tap that would work with my corny keg setup at home, staff was super helpful getting me set up with everything I needed and answered all of my questions along the way.

This is a small, up and coming homebrew shop, but the owners are passionate about all things homebrew. Adam possibly knows more about making sake than anyone in Boulder and is an award winning brewer as well. Greg is a great brewer and knows a lot about distilling, not to mention he can design some awesome custom made brewing and distilling set ups. I highly recommend checking these guys out. Theyre customer service and knowledge will not disappoint!

This place is awesome! Huge selection of great selection of specialty grains, especially Colorado grains. Unique, hard to find hops, (hello Belma, Amarillo, and El Dorado) and a super helpful knowledgeable staff who you can just tell love brewing. Seriously, these guys will talk brewing and recipe creation all day. This beats every other brew shop Ive been to in a 50 mile radius.

Stopped by for the first time to drop off a competition entry. Adam was very friendly and helpful. I am excited that there is now another option in Boulder and I look forward to stopping in again for my homebrew needs.

I live near Memphis,TN and cannot get Colorado Malting Company products at my LBHS, so I contacted Adam and Greg at Boulder Fermentation Supply to get my CMC malts. These guys are great to work with. They were both knowledgeable, friendly, and more than willing to be go the extra mile to be helpful (even though I was a telephone customer living 1,100 miles away.) I envy those who live in the Boulder area who can actually go and visit the store and visit with these guys in person.

Went into the garage and walked around their small space for about 15 minutes. I was waiting to be helped as there were 2 other customers in the store at the time. They held the entire attention of the two staff. I was not told hello or asked to be helped the entire duration. I waited but was not even acknowledged. It seems as if they rarely get new customers. It was almost like I was a ghost: the space was so small and still my friend and I were completely ignored. Selection looked great I suppose.

Great place. Every time I come here I get the help I need and I can usually find all the stuff I need. Something too many people in Boulder dont understand is that its the PEOPLE that make the place. If you want repeat business you gotta have a shred of personality or at least be a pleasant person. Boulder has too many self professed snotty elite types and they can usually be found right in shops like this. NOT here though. The dude behind the counter is always there to answer any questions and has never been condescending with his answers; (to me or anyone in line before me) sometimes ya gotta wait to talk him. Hes like the Don of brewing.

They over charged us by 10% more then we bought. Unfortunately didnt realize it until we got home. Also, the grain was FULL of little bugs. Stay away from here!

Great little homebrew shop, came in today with a Keg that was leaking, got help taking off the old completely hardened o-ring, and got it to work with the help of their great customer service!Would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent homebrew shop and appears to only be getting better; they recently moved into a new space with easier access. I have been coming here since they opened the place and I am glad that Boulder finally has a solid homebrew supply. The owners are really nice and ferment just about everything under the sun. The ingredients and basic homebrew supply selection are excellent, but the in-house custom work and hardware is really outstanding.

They know their stuff and dont mind newbies. Great shop!

Finally another option for homebrewing supplies, and they exceed expectations! I was growing tired of having to rely on Hop to It (looks like they have already voiced their opinion about BFS), its nice to have a choice where I spend my money if one establishment is falling short. BFS has a great selection of equipment and ingredients at affordable prices. Also, the employees and owners are really down to earth and willing to go above and beyond to help you with your latest project. I expect BFS to continue developing as a new business and will surely support them in doing so. Go check it out!
