I found Schapell Jewelers totally by accident. I was looking to replace a diamond stud earring that I had lost and went in to see if they might have one that matched. I needed it for an event that was 3 days away. They did not have one that matched exactly but took my stud and contacted one of their vendors, sent it to that vendor - the vendor then matched it, set it and sent it back in ONE day!!!They have such a fine display of everyday wears, special event items and precious pick-me-ups that can just put a smile on anyone’s face.They sell fun cute watches, diamond watches and can get you a Rolex if you so desire.They truly have something for everyone and every pocketbook. They are the best family run jewelry store in Boulder!

Robert helped me trade in some old family jewelry that was taking up room in my safe for a nice solid gold bracelet that I LOVE. Service was friendly and the value was great. Wonderful place! I had no idea what I wanted for my engagement ring. Over a few sessions, Kali showed me tons of different styles and helped me pinpoint and customize the most perfect, gorgeous ring! She worked within our budget, was never pushy or high-pressure, and more than happy to answer all of our questions. She really made such a big decision genuinely fun and easy. I recently discovered Schapell Jewelers because I was looking for a jeweler to fix a broken clasp on my necklace. From the moment that I’ve walked in I’ve loved my experience. They did a great job with the fix and the jewelry in their store is unique and beautiful! The owner was super nice and welcoming. I loved that they were not pushy and just let you browse. This past weekend I spent hours trying to untangle my wifes necklaces. Ultimately i had to pry off the clasps and I damaged the chains. Two needed to be repaired and one was tangled beyond reason. I came in and Elise took a look at the necklaces and got down to business. She added all the necessary hardware and untangled a very sentimental necklace i thought was a lost cause. She also cleaned them and there was no charge for her work. As a new resident, I am thrilled to find a trusted family run business.

Schapell Jewelers is a GREAT local jeweler here in Boulder! I was recommended to go see them by multiple people so I went into it with confidence already. And they went above and beyond to exceed all expectations! I had a unique piece that required resizing and a repair (not made by them), and they worked with me to make it work within my means. I received quote phone calls before anything was done, very timely, and they had it looking nicer than it ever had looked before! I stopped by this store for the first time to get a small necklace of mine repaired. One great thing about Schapell is that this is a full service jeweler, which I was happy to find in Boulder! The employees were lovely and incredibly helpful. Since my repair was small I decided to wait in the store, and while I did one of the associates showed me some of the pieces that she loved. We mostly looked at sapphires, and I have one word for them: WOW. These were some of the most gorgeous sapphires Ive seen, and Im sure the rest of the jewelry collection is just as incredible. I plan to go back for any jewelry needs that I have because though it was my first time (and I was in sweats with a messy bun) they treated me as a valued, loyal customer, and service like that can be hard to come by. Highly recommend stopping in to this store in Boulder as you will not be disappointed.

We searched the internet for jewelers with good recommendations and decided to give Schapell Jewelers a try for a repair that another jeweler said they would have to send off to New York at a high cost. Robert at Schapells took one look at the ring and said he thought they could fix it for us. They solved the problem in a matter of a few days at a very reasonable cost. We had them do some other custom work and are quite happy with the outcome. Glad to find a jeweler we can trust.

I came here looking for a watch and adjustment. The staff was incredibly organized, clean, and neat! They were friendly and fast to treat with genuine interactions. I was greeted by multiple staff members, but was specifically helped by James and Robert! The pricing was amazing for the adjustment, it was fast, and they offered incredible services such as free cleaning. Although it was fast, they were very knowledgeable with their products. I went in for the adjustment, but during the wait, James was immediately able to find the style of watch I absolutely loved! It’s a Movada Smart Watch, which sounds fancy, but kept an incredible sleek and simple look. They can bet I will be back for that watch!

I honestly wish I could give these guys 10 stars. I went in to have my watch resized because an old friend of mine works there now. James (my friend) was busy when arrived but his boss Christine was quick to help me with my watches. One needed to be resized and the other a new battery and a jewel fixed that had fallen out. They were so friendly that I told my mom about them (I was supposed to meet her in boulder which is what prompted me to stop by despite living in Denver). My mom has two necklaces, one of which I bought for her in Germany about 15 years ago and hold great sentimental value. Other places had told her the pieces weren’t worth enough to work on. The ladies at Schapell listened to my mom explain how she wanted the necklaces fixed and worked with her on what would and wouldn’t work. My mom is so happy that she finally found a place that would take in those sentimental pieces and understand their true value. The prices were also incredibly fair. Despite living in Denver I will be bringing them anything I need fixed, cleaned, or resized. Highly highly recommend!! 15/10PS. I need to also mention that literally everything in that store they have for purchase i BEAUTIFUL and I will be directing my boyfriend to James to help him before he pops the question 😂

The talented people at Schapell Jewelers made the impossible, possible.A watch that has been in my family for a long time was given to me in rough shape.The watch manufacturer, Tiffany, couldnt fix it up on location or when they sent it to repair HQ. I lost count of how many jewelers and watchmakers said the same thing: Cant source the missing inside pieces because the model is too old, corrosion from the battery to the watch movement, and a missing backplate to boot. Sorry and good luck.I moved to the area recently and discovered through google or reddit or something that this place did custom jewelry work. Well, they werent just able to find the parts to bring this very special piece back from the grave. They did it in record time with incredible attention to detail, professionalism, and warmth from the moment I walked in the door.When it was finished, Christine tinkered with the watchband to make sure the fit was just right, and now it fits like a glove and feels like Ive always had it.If it let me, Id give them 6/5 stars. Wouldnt go any other place.

Recently I asked Ian (Robert) to design some pieces for me, both of which are pictured here. I had always longed for a yellow diamond but good GIA rated ones are difficult to find. Rob came through for me and designed this gorgeous diamond ring with a GIA rated yellow diamond as the centerstone. Then I asked him to design a pendant for me using a blue zircon stone that I loved, and, once again, he came through with the beautiful pendant you see in the photo.Yes, these items were expensive but well worth the cost as I will treasure them forever.

We went in just on a whim to find out if they could do a custom wedding band. Cali 👏was👏wonderful! We decided to work with her and Schapell Jewelers. She took her time explained what could be done, what it would take to do what we envisioned. This was over many days, she was very patieint through my indecisiveness. Cali answered all my questions and gave me other options to think about and different price points. Finally we came to a decision and she was able to order exactly what was discussed. Rose gold, flat band, satin finish with a deep engraving of abstract mountain outline. Its beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned. Mine is 4mm and my fiances is 6mm, same style.I also bought an engagement ring from another seller and had Schapell place a family heirloom diamond into the center. Dropped by Schapell because I needed my (elsewhere purchased) engagement ring sized-up a bit and had heard good things locally. The shopkeeper was incredibly friendly and just genuinely nice to talk to. Walked in on a Thursday, she quoted me a week, but said there was a good chance theyd be giving me a call that Saturday because the jeweler would be on site Friday- and lo and behold they did indeed call on Saturday! My ring was done less than 48 hrs later. They charged exactly what was quoted initially. Would 100% visit them again whether for purchase or maintenance.

I took a ring my wife had purchased from a boutique UK jeweler to Schapells. The jeweler we purchased the ring from doesnt offer refunds or resizing and when it arrived it was a bit too snug. We took it to Schapells and they resized it in a timely manner and the job was perfect. Best part? They did it complimentary. This was our first time in this shop, so they definitely didnt have to do that! Ill be bringing all of my business to this place from here on out. I was unimpressed with the quality, but Rob said hed swap the chain for a nicer one and credit the difference of the original chain. A minor concession of $100. Rob proceeded to write down all the prices and discounts of the individual pieces in an unnecessarily complicated manner to sell me yet further on what a stellar value he was generously giving me. I noted that Rob credited only $50 towards the chain. He corrected it. I agreed to buy the set. Rob writes up the sales order. As he writes, I notice hes written the full price of the chain. As he calculates the sales tax on a set that is now $100 more expensive than agreed, I notice that the sheet he wrote showing me what a stellar deal he was giving me has vanished from the counter. Funny, everything else is still on the counter except for that sheet. I call him on it and the sheet appears from its hiding place and he thanks me for catching his error. I noted that hed done that twice now. Rob apologized. I noted that neither time had he erred on the side of charging less. I walked out. I could never see those pieces on my wife and not feel dirty.

Ive been going to Schapells since 1992 and have never been disappointed in their service or quality of work. When it came time for a bit of an overhaul on my engagement/wedding rings (check stones, tighten prongs, weld my bands together so theyd stop twisting on my finger, etc), i wouldnt trust anyone but them with my rings. It was a beautiful job and very reasonable for the peace of mind it gave me. Its a family run business with the work done on-site (not sent out somewhere else) and you see the same faces there each time you visit. When someone recently asked me to recommend a jeweler, I found myself saying so many positive things about this place, I was compelled to write a review.
