Went here for the first time few weeks ago. My wife found it online and thought would be fun to go to. Ive been going to stamp shops since my youth and have seen most of them in the Front Range area and have seen many of them die through the years. These shops are normally either really organized or very eccentric, which this one is more on the eccentric side. We did spend more than planned, but going through a horde of material is always fun and it was all sold for extremely fair price (most sold well bellow book value or online prices). For coin and stamp side, though an eccentric horde of stuff, I had no issues and was very professional. They had many other items for sale from magazines to Pokémon cards. There was a few rude pokemon card collectors that went through that was the only downside (kids thinking they know it all). But then saw some serious ones that knew what they were doing. Only major downside ran into is the typical stamp/coin store hours which is not similar to retail hours (I do believe many of these type of hobby stores would still exist if they had better hours or more focus on weekend and later hours to be open for normal people being able shop after work. Common coin/stamp store issue). Overall I would say a positive experience and would go again if have the time.

Went in to look at MTG cards. Told them that I was trying to get my GF into the game and was seeing what they had in stock. The two guys that helped me where great and gave me a bunch of free welcome packs and now my GF is getting into the game with me. I owe these guys my business for really helping me out.

Absolute garbage local game store. These voltures are selling pokemon cards at 3 and 4x their retail price and thats why they have a full stock of etbs and tins and v boxes. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY THEY ARE RUINING THE GAMES AND COMMUNITIES.

FYI- The local guides are paid by Google for writing reviews and posting on Google. So they will write just about anything about anyone to earn more points. If they are having a good day you get a great review. If they are angry and feeling dissatisfied then watch out! They then can turn around and redeem their points for discounted Google services

What a great all around shop for the beginner, the every-dayer & the straight gun-ho collecter! Everything can be found in this shop for the avid collector! With super helpful and curtious staff to the over abundance in collectable coins, sports cards, figures, (StarWars, Marvel, & so so many more to speak on.....) card games which include Pokemon, Magic, etc..... All I can say is Ive waited 30+ years for something like this, but the only bad thing now is? I live over 130 miles away, but that will never detour myself from not coming as much as I can on my days off in the future..... To all the employees of Collectons, Thanks for always taking the time to help and being genuine and having integrity with what you all do there..Thanks for everything!!And for all the negative reviews? Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, but over the handful of times Ive been, I have never been hustled, treated negative or unfairly. Only the complete opposite, so take this for what it is (just my own opinion & review) but this shop should be a necessity in every collectors corner!! I look forward to doing business in the future.....

I went in to have some money appraised. The folks there were extremely helpful and nice, even though I wasnt even there to buy anything. I was very impressed with their courteous and professional assistance! The store was full of really neat collections! Will definitely visit again in the future!

Emerging sports cards store. fair prices on boxes, and they buy and sell singles. tons of random stuff, worth a stop to check it out. one of a kind store in boulder.

CollecTons professionalism is extremely questionable.They sent my brother damaged goods. Broken boxes, bent holders, etc.In addition, 3 of the 12 coins were the wrong dates.It’s your fault, and we aren’t asking for a refund on shipping, but a return label since you messed up.Stubborn as a mule, and you have indeed not only lost a customer, but created a consumer that will have nothing but bad to tell about you.

Honest, knowledgeable and fair. I’ve also independently confirmed everything they’ve told me on various visits. These are definitely my go-to guys.

Lol, what a joke they tell you that something they already have is not worth anything. Thats a losing attitudes for sure. They only seem to wanna make money for themselves. Great store! All the workers are friendly and helpful. They always make sure to check every option to get you the cheapest possible shipping while safely and protectively packaging your items. One of my favorite stores in Boulder.

Scam artists just hustling people, pretend to devalue an expensive item, promise that they hold it, which in turn causes them to behave exactly like a sketchy pawn shop. Chuck is a liar, watch out for him.

These guys are great! I bought a few coins here today and ended up spending way less than I would have expected for what I got. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back again.

Love CollecTons! I live close by in Aurora Colorado so it makes me want to buy from them even more. They have awesome quality coins! The items they have on sale are such a great deal. I cant say enough great things about them. The Morgan Dollars and Peace Dollars I bought are true gems, and the Brilliant Uncirculated Wheat Pennies are amazing! So glad I found them. A+++++++

I want to contradict some of these negative reviews, basing it on my own experience doing business with Collectons...Every time that I have walked in to buy/sell/trade coins, mtg cards, and comic books, I have been treated with respect and consideration. For example, I sold a comic book that I was believe to be of lesser value and got more. I have consistently bought and sold magic cards to them and I havent found a price on there mtg booster packs that is cheaper anywhere else. Thank you Collectons for treating me as a respectable customer, and thank you for your integrity.

Great store with a growing magic card selection. They are trying hard to be another destination for Magic events. The people who work here are very nice and fun to talk to.

This place is a joke i talked to an employee on the phone told him what cards i had he said bring them down. I drove 30 min and they tell me sorry we are not looking for any cards from the 90 s. Eventhough i had a bunch of ken griffy jr rookies. Unknowledgable and very rude!! I would never go to this place again. Chamberlin coins in longmont is the place to go for coins.

Ive sold coins and metals at CollecTons and every time have been given a fair price--one that was significantly higher than the other main coin-buying business in town. I started dealing with them, in fact, because an independent coin broker I know recommended specifically that I take my stuff to them. Ive always felt that they were dealing with me honestly, which is unusual in this business, and I look forward to doing more business with them. Ive also purchased a few low-cost collectible items, such as bulk foreign stamps for crafts, for a GREAT price.

These guys have a lot of stuff to meet your collection needs. Whether it be cases for cards, comics or what have you, these guys have what you need to protect your collection. Some selection of coins, stamps, Magic cards and limited sports cards as well (nothing new, mostly old on the sports side). Staff is friendly and will help you out if you have any questions and will give you time to browse as you see fit.

Rude, hateful and sleazy. The comments here make it abundantly clear that the place is already on its way out. You cant burn as many people as this place has in a community this small and not be noticed for it.These guys are sketchy, creepy and abusing the hell out of something. Its not normal for staff to act the way they do to customers. Ive noticed they talk down to people and are oblivious to how whatever binders their on make these middle-aged losers look.Avoid this dump and the trash that runs it.

Watched these guys rip people off first hand. Went in for some magic cards and saw some white hair old guy low ball them, but then put them out at 4-5x the value they gave them. This guy is sooo sleazy that he says they are “common” cards, but in reality they are not. Avoid at all costs.

Made a sizable purchase online of supplies, including 6,000 cardboard coin flips.Order was packaged in Jim’s old mattress box with no wrapping, insulation or any protection.Items showed up severely warped and damaged.Provided photos and documentation.Joel refuses to return calls or provide a return label.

I was told by a Mail Station employee that Chuck stays late on Wednesday and helps customers with their coins. I went there on Wednesday at 5:20 and he told me he was leaving in 5 minutes. Chuck quickly looked over some of my things and then had another employee come look, which was fine. But this employee was just rude, it seemed like the thought of helping a potential customer was agony to him. He was short with me, hostile and abrasive. In my short time at this place this employee was not only rude to me but two other customers. I dont feel like my coins were appraised properly, or accurately. This was a combination of the rude employee and Chucks busy schedule. I will never come back to CollecTons again.

They took my ring to the back then didsapeared. Left me standing for quite some time, found out later they took my diamond and switched it

Joel and Chuck are quite the pair of conmen. Glorified pawn brokers with less knowledge and more slime.As long as they are making their hefty sums off of you or your loved one, all is peachy.It’s not until you show any sort of life that they show their nasty true colors.Do not ask for more, do not ask for a change, and certainly don’t call them out on their failures in packing, delivery, or accuracy. They will take it personally, get stubbornly defensive like 8 year olds and lie straight to your face I am attempt to save their own.I’m sorely disappointed in how these grown men conduct themselves.

They are straight forward, very kind and willing to help. They will give you a real price on what your item is worth.

Worked with Rob and Chuck and sold them numerous collectible items. They were very friendly and helpful everytime I went to their store. I got fair and market value for the items I sold them

WORST PLACE TO BUY ON THE INTERNET!! Customer Svc. Mgr. JOEL is a real piece of work. They SENT ME THE WRONG ITEM, refused to give me a full refund and then LIED about it on feedback forums. They want to charge a 5% restocking fee and charge me shipping both ways to correct their Mistake. RUDE AND RIDICULOUS! Buyers STAY AWAY from this company. COLLECTONS SUCK!!!
