Great store and great manager! I take the trip to Boulder from Littleton just to have conversations and pick up elusive spray primers that have been sold out in my areas hobby stores. Never been disappointed the several times Ive came by!
Great store. Brandon is very knowledgeable about the hobby. The metal chairs are kinda brutal, but youd be hard pressed to find a better place to get your GW related hobby needs addressed.
Definitely a super rad place, the dude who runs it is very sweet and helpful as well. Very beginner friendly store thats even willing to help newbies learn how to paint and play the game.
Ken is always very helpful.
Love this place. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. As someone who is fairly new to the hobby this is especially important to me. I also appreciate how they take the pandemic seriously and adapt their business practices accordingly. Cant wait to get some 40k games in once things calm down. :)
Friendly staff, great product. If you have questions, they have hours of answers!
Good store, I know its no ones fault but really wish we could walk around and look it can be hard to know exactly what you want
They weren’t lying they got a lot of warhammer here
Probably the best selection in town but the dude hovers over me so hard during my entire time in the store that I had to get out of there ASAP
Great store, lots of selection.
Very helpful staff Ken is an amazing person to know he is very calm and is very knowledgeable about what paints you should use for paint schemes
Great store, nice guy working there. Helped me find what I wanted, was polite and courteous.
Last 2 weeks I have dropped $300 on mortarion and paints/paintbrushes and the experience was fine. Decided to take my brother there to pre-order the new necron codex as is his army of choice. Huge issue came when I wanted to grab the war of the spider book my brother thumbed the book in front of it and were admonished like children. The guy there shouts take those two books down and set them on the table behind you I have to sanitize them now! Thats why I told you to look and not touch. Which would be fine we are in a pandemic, issue is though he had no problem the last two weeks of me touching product when he knew I was buying yikes! He then makes the rest of our trip super uncomfortable by starring us down. We decide since we are there we will at least get the necron codex and when we tell him this his whole attitude changes, hes now trying to be helpful and upsell us on the new necron units, like no thanks. I assume he thought we were just tourist mucking up his store but I can spend hundreds anywhere and now it wont be here. I guess the word of advise is advertise your buying or get treated without respect.
Great store! Great Staff! Great Selection! Ken is super knowledgeable and helpful. Anything they dont have they can order for you. They have a number of high quality terrain tables to use if you want to get a game in. All the patrons seem friendly and laid back as well. What more could you ask for?
Tons of Warhammer age of sigmar and Warhammer 40k to choose from. Fri and sat is 40k and Sunday is age of sigmar. Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. Great location with plenty of food near bye. Prices are accurate to online prices. Will be returning very often!
While Andy ran a great store, Ken has really stepped up in his place. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, the staff are almost always happy to help, and even when they cant, they can generally point you towards someone who can. The customers are a little competitive, and sometimes the conversation gets rough, but Ken is usually quick to stop any violence, vocal or otherwise. Beyond the table top that is.
Ken was very helpful, and got us set up with a game demo. We played Warhammer Underworlds, and had a great time, so much so that we took a copy home!He gave us useful advice and suggestions, without pushing to oversell us. Thank you!
Friendly place, the staff member there was knowledgeable about painting, model types, and sales both in house and online. They have a play army for those who may want to get an idea of how Warhammer 40k is played, all with wonderfully painted models. (Ultra Marines vs Nergal Chaos Marines )The store seems supportive of its local community, displaying hand painted models by several painters, whom they provided a small card for the artists signature. They seemed to be able to support up to two decent sized games in store as well, both tables are set up where players and shoppers can interact in the same space comfortably, allowing those who are new to Warhammer to see the models in action.Overall this very supportive, small and a cozy place to plan for a game or restock on any Warhammer specific supplies. A great place to start or continue your journey in this hobby.
The owner is the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. He will take hours out of his day to explain the whole game to you if you asked.
Called ahead early to make sure they had tyranids bought the starter set for 100 bucks thought wow pricey but okay look on the back underneath the price tag is a 10 dollar cheaper price tag feel massively scammed as they most likely raised it after I called and asked.
I love this place! It is full of helpful and wonderful individuals. I personally go there every weekend to talk, paint my models, and play the odd casual game or two. I have never seen a dissatisfied customer at kens (the manager) store. I highly recommend this place for both people getting into the hobby of tabletop wargaming and long time veterans!
Ken really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome to the game and the community. I was so impressed by his knowledge of the mechanics and the lore, he is clearly a diehard fan who landed his dream job. I love that I can come to the store for a free painting lesson, consultation on army builds and strategy, or just to have fun and socialize. Im sorry if others didnt have the same experience but highly recommend coming back when Ken is on duty.
The manger is the sweetest and most helpful guy! My boyfriend and I dropped in to check out their paints and models, we explained we were new to the world of minis and only really play D&D which isn’t exactly the same but we’re looking for minis for a home brew. He showed us some really great options after getting and idea for what we were going for, and then went a step further offering to help teach us how to assemble and paint the models! He helped us find out more about the local community and made it all very welcoming and fun. Can’t recommend this store highly enough!
The store manager is great! Selection is fantastic and always a helpful crowd of customers! I dont even live in Boulder but I always drive to this store to get what I need.
They had at least the games going on at once right in the middle of the store. I tell my son what Warhammer is and how cool it was when I was his age, I think now he believes me.Selection: If they didnt have it I would be shocked. They seemed to have everything.Price: Competitive, nothing crazy.Environment: They have game tables right in the middle of the store with at least a dozen folks trying to kill each other! It was really cool. Will return: Once I convince me son to give it a try we will.
Excellent place, store manager is really friendly and helpful. Lots of games going on every weekend to jump into if youre looking for a place to play and its always cool to see all the new product releases with the full range available.
Great advice from owner, great community of players, and a large selection of units.Maybe adding one more table would allow more players play at the same time
The store is a great environment for new or experienced gamers, with 3 gaming tables chock full of terrain for battles, community use Indexes to look up rules for your game, and a very friendly and personable store owner/manager who will ask your name, shake your hand and invite you back for special events and game nights. You will not find a better gaming shop in Boulder.
Great manager. Andy is super helpful and patient. Well worth the drive!
Great store when you need warhammer supplies
The store manager, Ken, is awesome! The community is also very friendly
I choose to wait three months and go back to this location before posting review -• if you know what you want, and you want to walk into the store to get it they have a reasonable selection of new GW releases - including black library stuff.• I chose not to purchase anything at the store, because after going a second time and dealing with all new people:THEY suggested I not purchase anything !!How bizarre is that? Because you have questions regarding the usefulness of a particular retail product on the shelf you wish to purchase they suggest you don’t buy it .I don’t want to bash the store, because I’m sure there are some local people who’ve turned it into some sort of private club, but I would not recommend someone go here for anything.Don’t spend money at locations that ask you not to - this was two times in a row, because everyone knows getting back into games workshop prime titles is a vortex — there must be some secret handshake I didn’t know when I walked in the door to have employees genuinely not want to service new customersI want to stress again this happened two times in a row with two completely sets of different people in the store .I gave them three stars just because I don’t want games workshop hassling me it’s really stay away from this place
Super helpful staff. Very nice and happy to answer even the most basic of questions.
Store has a large selection and charges the same as the website. Where it REALLY shines is the manager Andrew. He is incredibly nice, knowledgable, and always happy to help in any way he can.
Wasnt the best warhammer store experience I had. When I first showed up the store was closed with hours that dont match what is posted online or on the store front. We waited the half hour out at the coffee shop and when we finally got in we might as well have been ghosts in that store. No greet, helped other customers and never came around to us, but when we were finally helped by prompt dismissive and unhelpful was the best I could say.I asked about looking at a codex to show my brother, who I am trying to get into the game. The store clerk said he could not show me a codex because people read them in the store (its a rule book you cannot memorize and need for reference) clearly I was not going to read a 100 page book he was going to show me, why would I ask a store clerk or manager to show me something that I wanted to buy and then read it for hours while it sits in his hand. I explained to him I wanted to buy it but in calm and clear detail but he just kept referring to other customers actions as the excuse for him not helping me and walked off.I would avoid the location, especially if you dont know the staff personally, you wont get any help. When I first started the hobby at my local store the store worker showed me the codex, explained the models and factions and took some time to explain assembly and painting. The next day I dropped $300 bucks to start the hobby. I intended to spend the same here but was so turned off by customer service that I had to leave the store before getting offended, not spending a single dime! This is not how you support peoples hobbies as a specialty store!
Ken the manager was super friendly and helpful, especially for someone like me who is just starting out in the hobby. GW’s models are amazing, a bit pricy but you are paying for quality no other company has plastic models with this level of detailP.s.think the game is too complicated to learn? Ken will teach/demo for free!
Very helpful and friendly right as you walk in the door.
They pull their reviews to make thenselves look better. My brother and i went here to get some products when i first started off playing 40k. My experience was next to awful. The person running the store at the time made the environment more exclusive than inclusive. We were shunned most of the time we were there and what interaction i did have with the clerk was belittling and rather rude. Very little explanation to anything and an almost dont touch dont look policy unless you know exactly what you are going to buy. I had very little knowledge of the game, didnt know what faction i wanted and things on that line. The clerk wasnt helpful and i ended up going to Denver for more help.
Fantastic store. Worth coming up from Eagle
Hobbyists and tabletop gamers both can enjoy the beautiful models and excellent service at this store.
Great place to hobby!
Definitive local shop for warhammer and miniature painting needs. Friendly employees, always have what I want in stock.
Wide selection, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.
Great store, Andy the manager is extremely helpful.
Very friendly lard space for gaming and painting
