Karen was super helpful, kind, and patient with me as I had alot of questions. She ran the numbers with my insurance, without it to find me the best deal since my script is pricey. She was the only 1 working and handled multiple tasks with grace and professionalism while helping me. I would definitely go see her if you want great customer service.

It’s very rare that I write a bad review for ANY business, but the service here is absolutely atrocious. As you’re reading this, please keep in mind that I live an hour away from the location (3 trips to ask where my contacts and glasses were because they don’t answer the phone). I had ordered my contacts and glasses over a MONTH ago now. I had placed my order 3 weeks prior to leaving the country for an extended stay because obviously being in a different country it’s kind of important to be able to see anything. Well, on the third stop a woman had apologized for the inconvenience, and was apparently “priority” shipping my glasses to a different address where they’d be taken care of until my return. Here it is 1 1/2 weeks later and still no glasses, and still not answering the phone. The doctor was fantastic, but the office staff is terrible! They don’t return your calls when they say they will, make excuses for why your order placed OVER A MONTH AGO is still not there. Stay as far away from the store as possible! I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing business with them.

I have always had a positive experience at Pearl Vision. I have been going there for quite a long time. Today I went in to see someone because for the first time ever, I had received a bill from my Insurance Company. The General Manager Linda, so kindly explained the billing to me and how I had already paid that amount at my last office visit. She also helped me order my contacts and helped me out with a bent glass rim. She was extremely helpful and professional!! I have also dealt with Mary on occasion and she has been awesome as well! I love the Pearl Employees and always have.However, changes that have been happening there in regards to the Doctors being billed separately and the doctors employees have not been as welcoming or helpful as the Pearl Employees. I do not feel that was a positive move from a customer standpoint. I have seen some of the doctors employees react negatively to Pearl employees right in front of me. The doctors employees did not have the same professional standard as the Pearl Employees by far. Thank you

I’ve gone to this doctor once and never again. The workers are rude and the doctor argued with me that I’m not seeing what I’m seeing. He gave me the wrong prescription when I told him I couldn’t see he made me keep the prescription for a week before he changed it. He tried to tell me that my old doctor has been giving me the wrong prescription all this time and he refused to be wrong. When he finally gave me the right one and told me that I was forcing him to give me the wrong prescription because I’m addicted to my old wrong prescription. There’s just complete nonsense and immoral treatment in this office.

Was a fabulous experience. We came form a private practice and spending 3 times the money for the same services and products! Dr Nicholas was very informative and through with exams, answering allk our questions. We will be going to Pearl Vision from now on!

We made several phone calls to confirm whether they accepted our insurance. Made appts to only find out that contact exams are not covered and the doctor on site is not actually part of Pearle Vision. So disappointed. Actually walked out. Three appts out the door 😳

Ill never be back. Its now 30 days on trial contacts that were supposed to be shipped to me within 5-7 days. I ordered glasses online somewhere else and they have been here for 2 weeks already. I have a slightly ripped trial contact they gave me at the exam and Im wearing that for a month now. My sons contacts over 14 days also and not to my home which they said theyd ship. NEVER AGAIN.

Dr. Nick is great!! He was very informative with me and great with my 10 year old son. Associates are usually very nice and helpful. There was one associate there, Karen, who was particularly rude to the associate helping me. She needs a refresher on customer service, I was embarassed for the associate helping me that she was spoken to in such a rude manner in front of a customer

Went for an eye exam and the doctor wrote me the wrong prescription. He said my previous eye doctor was incorrect in the prescription I was wearing even though I could not read the street signs while I was driving! He finally wrote me the correct prescription after telling him I could not even drive my vehicle with what he prescribed for me. He would not allow me to wear 2 week contacts (which I have been wearing for 10 years, and he stated my eyes were perfectly healthy). I tried daily contacts that were too expensive and asked for something else. He then gave me monthly contacts. The contacts aggravated my eyes and were very dry. I contacted the office to let them know and they stated he would not approve any other form of contacts. I went back to visit my regular doctor due to the hassle and unprofessional-ism (I only went to Pearl Vision because I had recently moved) and my old doctor said I was allergic to the contacts provided by Pearl Vision and there is fluid building up in my eyes from them. I would not ever recommend going to this eye doctor. Way too much hassle and many mistakes made for something as important as your vision! Awful customer service. Do not waste your time with a doctor who is not going to listen to you!Recommend going to Americas Best in New Lenox instead. Wonderful doctor. Great customer service. Never once had an issue in 7 years that I have been going. I should have just made the drive to begin with instead of wasting my time and money with Pearl Vision!

I recently came in to the Bourbonnais location for a contact and vision exam. I had never wore glasses before this. All the employees with the doctor were very professional, helpful and positive. I also bought 2 pairs of glasses in addition to this, they called me to let me know my first pair was in and I picked them up at a contact appointment. I called to see if my 2nd pair was in and the manager Linda answered the phone.. as I explained I was just calling to see if my glasses were in she gave out a big sigh and expressed that glasses took 3weeks to come in and that she was busy and I would have to wait for her to check. She was very unprofessional and rude. She spoke as if I was bothering her and it was going to require her to do something extra to check to see if my glasses were in. I literally dropped almost 1000.00 on 2pairs of glasses and for some to treat me as if my inquiry was unimportant and bothersome to her made me feel quite upset. As her interactions with other customers were the same and she told a man that she was busy doing something quite rudely as he entered the store at that he had to wait for her to get done. As a person when your buying glasses your looking for someone positive and upbeat to help you pick them out as u want them to fit your character and just feel good about your overall decision. Linda is not that person, she made me feel unwelcome and that she didnt want to be bothered with anyone of us in the store almost as if she was just lazy and we required her to do work and she didnt want to. I complined to other staff members about her and bc they are under her there was nothing they could do. She is just not someone that is personable, friendly or professional. If it wasnt for her my experience would have been a 5 star rating. Maybe she needs to decide if this is a job for her because it honestly doesnt seem like she is happy doing it.

CHECK YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE BEFORE GETTING AN EXAM. This particular Pearle Vision does not accept medical insurance for eye examinations. My insurance covers a “free” annual eye exam and according to my insurer, Pearle Vision is an “in network” provider. However, according to Pearle Vision in Northfield Square Mall, they do not, nor have they ever accepted medical insurance for eye exams. Had I known that BEFORE my spouse had the examination, we would certainly have chosen a different provider. And next time you can be sure that we will. WHY, Pearle Vision, are you listed as a provider if you are not, in fact, a provider??

Dr Rutkowski had given me the best experience ive ever had going to the eye doctor. I honestly didnt ever think a trip to the eye doctor could be anything more than mundane. He was kind and you can tell her definitely likes his job and is a people person. Associates were nice too. The only complaint i have is that the process for finding out what type of glasses/contacts i was qualified for afterwards took about an hour too long. Other than that it was just fine!

I wish I had read the reviews before I came here. The doctor is nice but the rest of the employees are just plain rude. Stay away. I am pretty sure they messed up my prescription but I dont trust them to fix it.

Have gotten my daughters glasses there for years. I sent my husband with her to pick them up. They were broken. So they gave her the display model at full price. These glasses are so messed up, from day one. She cannot wear them outside of the house because they dont stay on her head. In contacts now 99% of the time. She cant even read while wearing them, they fall off her head. I called, I was told she had to come in when the manager was there to look at them. How about a new pair just be ordered when a product arrived broken? Weve been going there for several years, on a first name basis with one or two employees. I went in and had them readjusted. I was told they were fine. By the time we got home they were falling off her face again. These glasses are what youd expect from a display model thats been tried on by countless people. I shouldnt have to drive over an hour round trip to get her non beat up glasses. I wish I could attach a picture of these things. Will be going elsewhere in the future.

Going on 4 weeks and still waiting for my sons glasses to come in. Talked to them last week and they told me the manager would call me the next day and I received no call. His old ones are broke and he has to wear them. This is getting ridiculous!!!!

I was there 5 min ago and they have the worst costumer service. They barely answered my question and looked at me like if i was a bug. I dont understand how people work in places where they have to talk with all kind of cultures, i felt so discriminated. Thats sad.

Stains on carpet were SO DISGUSTING, I asked an employee for white chalk to outline body shape stains, looked like a crime scene! !. Very non sterile environment for an eye exam
