They have a sign outside saying they feature Mobil products. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Provided option for me to bring in my own Mobil 1 for an oil change, I do appreciate that. They were very standoffish and uncomfortable when I inquired about the sign. I’m sure there is some cool history behind it, was just curious!
Lewis at Midas was amazing! I’m always so scared to go get maintenance on my car because I’m not always sure of what to ask for but he walked me through everything step by step and kept me updated the entire process! Definitely using Midas from now on for any vehicle maintenance (:
I had to get a downpipe swapped out on my BMW X3 and they were quick and painless. The shop rate seemed very reasonable as well! All the employees I dealt with were very friendly, professional, and completed tasks in a timely manner. I will be keeping this shop in mind in the future.
Alternator went out on truck while traveling through KY. The team was exceptional and very service oriented. In addition, in the late hours they found a fuse that had blown and was ble to search until they found an alternative part and get me back on the road within a few hours. Thanks so much for all the effort. I felt valued as a customer and appreciate all the help!
I had called a couple of other places in town and they were booked up for at least a week. A coworker suggested I try Midas and I am glad I did. They got to me that very day. They did a great job on patching my tire where a bolt had been. Very friendly staff. Thank you Midas!
I had a 10 am appt for wheel alignment, they got me in and out in under an hour. (Decent price too). They offered added services and inspected my brakes...all of which were fine.Treated me as a valued customer the whole time and this was my first experience with this location. So I was pleased with the entire experience.
You better have deep pockets. I was told by phone when making an appointment to get new brake pads put on, they do a free inspection before doing them. Wrong that was going to be 36.50! Plus approximately 350.00, to do brake pads. I left and said, no thank you.
They wanted $500 to Change a leaky o-ring on my fuel injectors. They call back and said they couldn’t do that without changing the intake manifold gasket for $1300. If they quoted the $500 price knowing it would involve removing the manifold then how would adding a $33 gasket set to an already removed part be worth $800. Then they back again and said they would have to do a coolant flush to do the rest. Knowing coolant does not go through the fuel bar, injectors or intake manifold gasket I knew they were trying to sell me more things I didn’t need and i canceled the repair. They also wanted $300 for new spark plugs because they were not the Ford recommended brand.
I am very pleased with my recent experience at Midas. As a long-time resident of Bowling Green, I have used their routine services (oil changes, etc.) for decades, and have always been happy with their honest assessments and quality work. Invariably, I have been treated with respect and professional courtesy. Recently, I had a complicated problem with a headlamp and the electrical system in my car that required quite some effort to resolve properly. Throughout the process, I felt that I received nothing but the best quality consideration and service, all at a reasonable price. If there were more than five stars to give, I would not hesitate to do so.
The prices were way too high I could buy all the parts myself for a third of the cost and pay less than half on the labor elsewhere. The mark-up at the midas store I was at more resembled price gouging than a retail mark-up. I will never go to midas again.
Midas has always been fantastic! Having the drop box for keys makes it super easy to drop off on my way to work, and pick up when it’s convenient for me. The work is always done in a timely manner as well!
Great place to take your vehicle! Great communication on what I could afford and that was really awesome!! Manager was very nice and friendly and helpful.
We have been coming to Midas for quite a while. My wife brought her Dodge Journey in to get worked on. We were given a quote for a transmission shift solenoid. For the part alone, they wanted to charge $763.99. You can get the part right down the road for $384.99 (RockAuto for $194.89). For labor they wanted to charge $655.99. I understand needing to make money, but this is ridiculous. I hope it was worth it. We wont be coming back and Ill make sure to share my story with as many people that will listen.
I am taking back everything I said. My first experiences were great. So good indeed I didnt pay enough attention this last time. They were very busy.... But I paid to have leaks looked for... A hair later cars over heating... Found the leak myself after they claimed to have looked the area its in is a very slow leak that didnt require a pressure test at all. On top of that 1100 and they didnt even top of my fluids. Not even two weeks later no windshield washer fluid or anything. I will find somewhere else
I waited an hour and a half for just an oil change if they really changed it? It included Free tire rotation but my tires were not rotated. Madas just spends a lot of time with your car to figure out how they can make more money out of you. I will not return to Midas for another oil change.
Had to get a tire replaced, they got me in immediately and serviced my vehicle in a reasonable time. Overall I was happy with them.
The Midas team in Bowling Green was beyond great ! They were very friendly and did a great job on my brakes !! They even have loaners for free so your not stuck in the waiting room all day . !!! Jason Brewington
Thank you to Midas for helping me out today. I had a car overheating and noone else in town would even look at it for me. I called Midas and told them my problem. Even though they didnt have any appointments today they understood how serious my problem was and worked me in anyway. I couldnt be more grateful for their help and understanding. I will definitely do business with them again!!!
Had 8:30am appointment for front brake pad and rotor replacement. $500 and 6 hours later I was finally on the road again. 😒
In todays world rarely do you get anything done right the first time or at all. I have to say that my car ran like it came off the factory floor. I will be taking the tech something of token to show my appreciation. I will not be going anywhere else.
I recommend this place to anyone who needs they’re car fixed!
Dropped off my brothers car on Saturday prior to going on a trip. Figured it wouldnt be a big deal because we still had mine to drive. They told us the car would be done by Thursday. No call Thursday about the car being done. We figured it would be ready by Friday morning. We called and found out that the car wouldnt be ready until late Friday. Its almost closing and they are still doing work on the vehicle that they assured us would be completed by the lastest Friday morning. I will definitely not be going back or recommending this place to anybody.
Im from out of town broke down due to brakes (Rear),I called and they got me schedule early I go home late that evening they did a great job Thanks Guys!!!
I came in with a tire that had quickly gone flat for no good reason that I could see. They got it fixed, put away my spare tire, and got me back on the road in about half an hour. They are always polite and professional.
A+. Mounted coil springs on struts for my sons 4Runner lift kit. Little trouble at first but were courteous and got it right. Thanx
A tremendous display of customer service. The process was painless with the financing option and the cherry on top was the loaner car. Its worth a little extra money for the peice of mind.
Brake pads, rotor, sensors on a 17 year old Porsche. Work done same day, on time and under the estimate price, which was significantly less than the foreign car specialist repair shop in town, BTW. Good job. Ill be back!
We were traveling had a problem with our car. We called them to help us. They were very friendly They fixed our car and we were back on the road. Very good people. 👍would recommend them to anyone.
Patrick (the manager) and Roger (our technician) were lifesavers. My boyfriend and I were traveling from Mississippi to Chicago in our camper van and broke down on the side of the highway in Tennessee. After calling four other mechanics in Bowling Green (where we were heading), Patrick was the only one who would look at our vehicle. They quickly fixed the issue and showed us the parts that had gone bad. The next day, we were an hour and a half outside of Bowling Green and we broke down again on the side of the highway. We called Patrick (he had given us his number) and he paid for a tow truck to bring us back to Bowling Green where Roger fixed the issue and we were on our way to Chicago. We are so grateful to the team at Midas and cannot recommend Midas in Bowling Green enough.
I brought my vehicle in to have brake work done and am quite happy with how things went. My point of contact was Louis who was nothing but professional, and most importantly to me honest, with what needed to be worked on and what didnt. Ill be coming back when I need future work done.
Will never be back to Midas again. I asked them for a price and they couldnt give it to me till they looked at it. Okay understandable. After about 2 hours they come out with a bill for about $500.00 for something every other shop price was between $150.00- $200.00 . I turned it down. Then they changed me over $39.00 for looking at it. They should have told me about at first. Rip-off
Great people, will take of you, but the wait times a little long. But they do a full a diagnostic though.
Always work with me, and are always very pleasant. I have been taking my vehicles here for years, and have never been disappointed.
Don’t. Don’t. Don’t give them the benefit of the doubt! I normally would use Greenwood Service out by Peachtree lane. But I didn’t have time or a ride to do that today. Midas unfortunately was closer to my work.I went in to ONLY have Freon put in and the man at the desk told me the way they do it is run diagnostics and Freon for $145. High yes, but if they actually fixed it I was gonna complain. This was at 9am sharp!I explained to the man that when I drove the passenger side was colder than driver side and I thought I needed an Acuator door, since I had already replaced hoses, valves and compressor.Couple of hours go by, I get a call telling me the schrader valve needs to be replaced, $80, so we’re at $263. Fine. If I have A/C when this is over fine just do it. That was at 11am, 3:30 rolls around and I go down there. This man is talking about they are STILL running test! My car was outside a bay with another car in it, no one actively working on it.He tells me I may have to drive a loaner car home.4:40 rolls around I get a call that several things need to be replaced for a grand total of $1200!I go get my car! I ask where the schrader valve came from, OReilys? The man tells me autozone. I pay my bill and leave.I call autozone, they did not give Midas that part, my bill says they excavated the Freon, which was empty because I had it done before I went! There was 0 none, nada no Freon in my car $30 for what? They charge $50 for labor in the $27 valve! I’ll pay the $80 for the dang valve but if like you know who released the Freon and refilled it for $145!!! It’s empty now and was empty before!I guess you saw a girl and thought, let’s get her. But you tucked with the wrong one! I will go back tomorrow and we will talk this out, in the lobby so all the customers can hear!
I highly recommend Midas. They provide fast service, are affordable and very friendly. They made a stressful situation stress-free for me! Thank you!!!!
I love to get the van vacumed out there. They have a blower with the vacum.
Good work. I had a throttle body problem. Firestone or my normal mechanic would work on it. Midas did a good job that others(even Martin dodge the place it came from)wouldnt even attempt. Let me know they hav the superior knowledge. Strait up. It is what it is. U get what u pay for with them
These people wanted to charge $35 to put a plug in a tire! I thought that was a bit expensive will not be calling there no more
This shop couldn’t even perform a simple wheel alignment. It was also disgraceful in that they were fleecing the elderly by misleading them on repairs that were needed on their cars. Place was a complete waste of my time- don’t let them waste yours.
Took good care of my RV.
Excellent and fast service. Very thorough of what was needed. Prior to working on my car they called me with a list of things my car needed. Once I approved what work I could afford, my car was done faster than expected. Great cutsomer service and detailed explenation of work still needed.(my car is older) great tech, very knowledgeable.
Midas has been helping take care of my vehicles for easily 40 years. They are locally owned and take care of their customers. Here is a photo of them working on my 59 MGA...a car that I have owned since I was 16. They did an awesome job of aligning the front end, a job others in this town would not even look at! Look at how closely it barely gets on the lift! Good job guys! I will be back!
I called three different times (several minutes apart) with questions getting someone different each time, each one I talked to was very friendly and answered my questions well. Had a great experience when I went. Louis went above and beyond my expectations! He was so friendly and straight forward. Had very speedy service for my necessary check up, I was thrilled they checked it so fast. I stopped by due to someone suggesting them to me.
I got in and out quicker than I expected and thankfully, since I didn’t have a ride to go anywhere else while I waited, they had a vending machine inside with super cheap snacks and drinks. They didn’t try to push anything extra on me and simply told me the condition of my car. They didn’t say “you have to do this or that” they just said “hey, this is kinda getting worn so you might think about fixing it sometime in the future”. I loved their service. It was great.
I live how they talked to me before they did anything. They didnt make a list 10ft long, they found the problem I was telling them about and fixed it for a good price. Nice people to talk to as well.
Appreciated the safety measures to prevent COVID-19 spread. Masks worn correctly, even when on phone calls. Work was reasonably priced and as estimated.
Knowledgeable staff, fairly priced, excellent communication!
I had a problem with my brakes I had replaced all parts but my paddle felt like it had air in it they said I probably needed a ABS blade they did that didnt help came back and told me I needed a new master cylinder and brake booster which I had already put on a new master cylinder he was going to be $800 something dollars they charge me $80 something dollars to do the bleed and didnt help me at all not pleased at all with them I was hoping a professional place like them would be able to tell me what my problem was without just replacing parts to see I could do that on my own Im waiting around for about 3 hours for them to get my truck looked at kept walking back and forth to check on what was happening they put it on the left and started working on some other womans car as soon as she left they told me the breakfast didnt do my truck any good and wanted more money for a master cylinder and brake booster cant figure out how they knew that when it didnt look like they had done anything to mine
Some of the sweetest people work here. They check everything on your car and give you suggestions but they do not make you feel like you have to purchase everything. If youre unsure about something ask them, they are great at educating people who are unfamiliar with cars. They will be honest with you on what is urgent and needs to be fixed immediately and what can wait. They also have the most adorable dog.
Tried to get a quote on my A/C repair but never heard back from them.
Great service and wonderful staff that cares!
Thoughtful and thorough! Professional service worth a caring approach. Great experience.
I like the value I get for the money I spend here. Yeah they are going to be a little higher than Bubba’s garage, but they are going to fix it right. I like knowing I can stop at any Midas and the warranty is good. Thanks for fixing my flashing check engine light!
They were quick on service, did not have to wait long. The tech did not wear a mask or gloves when he entered my car.
Really thorough, expert mechanics. I was treated honestly and courteously. I did take longer than I expected.
Not good they had to mail my sticker and paper no help at all wont be back
Quick and on time.
Way over priced services. Would not recommend coming to this establishment unless you’re ready to blow a ton of money on such a small repair
Too expensive!!! They charged me 160$ just to swap my mufflers, factory made direct fit, 1.2h labor, which only took them 30 min to get it done, mark mufflers shop did the same job for 40$ for me!!! Never going back
Great job - fast and well done
4 Jack pots in the last two months exceptional place
Great service that was completed in a timely manner!
Midas had a buy 3 get 1 free on Cooper tires. They were very nice and professional. I was in and out of there in about an hour.
They did a great job!
No one enjoys spending a lot of money on car repairs, but sometimes its inevitable. Andy at Midas was great to work with. He provided a comprehensive overview of everything that needed to be repaired, but never pressured me and was patient when I asked for different quotes with or without various services. He was honest with me about what could wait and what needed to be addressed right away. The work was done quickly - they didnt seem to run into the same issues Ive had with other area shops regarding having or finding parts for my Fiat.
They done a wonderful job and got my car back on the road. No complaints from me. They A - 1, in my book.
Great business, very professional and Jevon Paschall is the nicest guy ever!
The service was wonderful as always. They took me right in made me feel welcome. They have a very nice and clean establishment and all the people working there were very professional and new what they were doing. The price i had to pay was very reasonable. When i left there i felt very comfortable and satisfied with the service. They treated me like family and thats hard to find in any place of business. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs work done to their vehicle. They are the best. They treat you with respect no one is any better than the other no matter who you are. Thanks Midas for everything you do for the community....
Every time I go there they always know whats wrong and fix it good bunch of guys and gal I would recommend them to anyone that wants good work and service
These guys are the BEST! I highly recommend them.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. I had a long wait but was informed that I would be waiting ahead of time. They were diligent and thorough. Id recommend them for any auto repair needs.
Awesome staff very friendly and following Covid recommendations perfectly. Great place
I had a great experience. I was 4 hrs from home on business and woke up to a flat tire. AAA was prompt and then directed me to their preferred tire vendor in the area, MIDAS. I needed prompt attention and that is just what I received. Tony, one of the owners was kind and understanding of my situation. I ended getting 4 new tires, an oil change and full alignment with free wipers. They also did a free 22 point inspection which indicated a few additional items. I got every thing taken care of, promptly. It was great they got me right in, took care of business at a very fair price. If I lived in Bowling Green this would be my mechanic. Bowling Green, you are lucky to have this Midas store
Took a tire here to be replaced but it was unable to be fixed. I ended up being sold all new tires, and I thought at the time a really good price. Im a single parent on one income and really feel like I was taken advantage of bc of the price and how the tires are now, its 6 months later and the tires are almost completely bald. I called to ask about the warranty of the tires but it didnt cover anything. And even the guy at the desk said based on my mileage that it sounded weird. He thought I might need an alignment but I had one done right after I bought the tires. I honestly would check other places before using them.
Friendly folks. Went in for an oil change. They did a satisfactory job, but it seems to take a long time. It took about 55 minutes from the time I walked in to time I walked out. Wouldve easily been 5 stars if not for the excessive time.
Great serviceThank you
These guys are awesome. I had a fan blade break off and go through my radiator on the interstate. Called mitas and they said they could work on it first thing in the morning. That is exactly what they did. By 530 the next day it was completed and done right! They go above and beyond. Customer service is awesome. Mechanics are the best there is. I could go on and on.
The personnel at the front counter were courteous and the repairman did a great job fixing my brakes
Honestly a great staff and I got to play with a dog while watching Andy Griffith so 10/10
Great mechanics but prices are high
I arrived at Midas nearly in tears, halfway between Ohio and Mississippi and in urgent need of a brake job. They got me in right away and only charged me for what I needed.
They was kind and professional, knowledgeable with everything about my car. Thanks Midas and looking forward to the next visit.
My daughters car needed immediate AC service. They were able to get me in right away and fixed the issue. Great service!
Great service, friendly staff, did a great job fixing my car.
Had an auto issue on our way through Kentucky and these guys got us back on the road in record time. Amazing customer service. Thank you so much.
Alignment work was performed well, price was competitive, and everyone was professional and courteous. It seemed to take a little longer than I expected but it may be because I brought my vehicle in closer to lunch, which I do understand.I really appreciated the inspection done before the alignment. Even though I do most of any service work on my vehicle, it makes it easier for me to pinpoint those problem areas I don’t necessarily see on my own or difficult to diagnose when a rack or shop is not normally available.
Pretty good place. They always treat me and my car with respect. It’s actually one of the ones who does not try and pull extra money from you by gang you false information. They’re all pretty good people. Highly recommended.
Fellow people of Bowling green, Hear this warning of MIDAS on the Bypass, They love Older people, Women, and young kids that is their favorite because those groups know very little of pricing and vehicle maintenance. I have Had 2 dealings with them,1 they said my car had no oil and said I should buy and get my oil changed right then and there. (I just checked the oil prior to bringing my car in) I said buddy lets go check it right now, we went he checked it and said see no oil, I said Check it one more time because I just did before bringing it here and it was fine, he checked it again and said oh what the heck I dont know what happen it is showing oil right now Your right so I proceed back inside and tell the guy at the desk I would also like an estimate for some spark plug wires he printed off a sheet of paper that said spark plug wires were $200. I said what is going on here I just left AutoZone a few hours ago and spark plug wires cost $60 or so. He said let me see that paper and said your right this must be some kind of typo This was years ago when I was in highschool. Never dealt with them since. Until today. Ready to forgive them and give them another chance because I was thinking the same crooks that tried that stuff probably dont even work there anymore. After all MIDAS has the best commercials. So I go there today I get an estimate for a flowmaster 40 series 2.5in gap for a 2006 ford mustang. The guy prints he paper out and says $160 for the flowmaster and $160 for labor ( its a 2 part weld under an hour like 15mins if your smart) I said Buddy thats a ruff deal and walked out. Called the 1st shop I seen on mufflers in BG (Marks muffler) he said I can order my own part and they will put it on for $80 people the flowmaster 40 series goes for $60-$98 ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH. Marks doing a fair job and asking fair pay, where midas on all 3 situations done What should be illegal. I just feel bad for anyone going to midas. People please call more then 1 shop when getting estimates. Also no matter what shop you call ask them what they think of MIDAS they will tell you their crooks
Went for a tire repair, and called ahead because I needed to be in and out quickly. When I arrived, they had someone waiting for me. After an hour, I expressed my concern for their lack of urgency, and requested they speed it up. After another hour, I became upset and spoke with the assistant manager.I was charged $55 dollars for a tire repair, and waited 2 hours for that. I will never do business with any Midas again.
They always do a great job at diagnosing issues. They probably aren’t the cheapest in town, but every time I have had an issue, they diagnose the problem correctly. They are also very convenient. They will take you by courtesy shuttle or let you use a loaner car. The staff seems nice and honest.
They’ve always been great and honest to me . Honestly I would never use Midas back in New York but coming to Bowling Green I didn’t know where to go . I am extremely happy with them. I will always use them !!! Great people there ..
I’ve gone here twice and never had any complaints. I always use the $19.99 oil change coupons they send me in the mail and the employees are always very courteous and kind! plus they always do a complimentary inspection which is awesome! Thank you!
Had to stop at Midas for a brake issue while traveling. Great service and professional staff. Thanks for getting my car back on the road safely. Shout out to Patrick for helping me out late on Saturday.
They got the oil changed at a good price and at a reasonable price. They also threw in a safety inspection and printed off information about the health of my vehicle. They would have gotten five star except they were kinda pushy to try and get me to have other work done right then and there.
Midas is BAD to do business with...especially of youre female. I needed a simple brake repair yet was quoted $840. They assumed that I didnt know anything about cars and tried to convince me to do $600 worth of unnecessary repairs. Why would I be charged for a power steering belt and a tire (my tires are new, less than 10,000 miles on them)on a brake job? Took my car to a real mechanic and he fixed the issue for less than half of what Midas quoted. Be very cautious if going for anything except an oil change, better yet skip Midas altogether. One star is generous.
Midas helped us so much! We broke down on our way back home from New Orleans to Indiana and had already went to Firestone a couple blocks down and waited 5 hours just for them to tell us they couldnt fix our van, shortly after we went to Midas: We only had to wait an hour to fix and weld our van. They were so kind and professional, and well priced!! We love their dog Molly as well!!
I went to Midas a several times over the years. Generally, it was good, but just slow! This time, it is super super slow! I had an appointment at 11:30, dropped car at 10:50. Can you believe that? 2.5 hours is not long enough for them to diagnoses! My break suddenly went super soft one time earlier this week. But, it went back to normal almost immediately. Called the Ford dealer in town this morning, they said it probably just need a break flush. Since Midas is close to my home, I decided to take the car to Midas, let them to take a look, and let them fix it for whatever problem. My appointment was at 11:30, but I went ahead to drop the car at 10:50. I told them the break problem and also asked if they can have a completely inspection. It was a BIG mistake! I called them at 12 to see if they found anything wrong with the break. The general man was nice and said they were working on it right now, would give me a call soon. Didn’t receive any calls until 1:30. Called again, the guy said they were working on it, and hopefully they would finish it soon. He said they are inspecting two, three cars together. I really don’t understand it, the total work for them will be the same if they work on cars one by one or work on them together. But, it will take much longer time for customers to wait! But, anyway, I told him, it had been over 2 hours! They close at 4 on Saturday. If there is anything wrong with the break, I really need to fix it today. So, I asked if he can let the mechanic to check the break first. He said “yes! Will let him to check it first!” However, it is 2:10 now. Haven’t heard anything back from them!Updates:1. They did call my back at 3:08! Wow, took them 3.5 hours for the diagnoses! They find nothing wrong... They are close at 4pm, they said they still need about 30 minutes to put the wheels back. WOW, 30 minutes for only putting 4 wheels back! It takes them 4 hours for a vehicle inspection (Thumbs Up!)2. I decided to change the start from 2 to 3, mainly because the customer service general man was nice!
Came in to get my Oil Changed and it took a little longer because they ran out of the oil my car takes. But one of the men upfront communicated with me that it would only take a few more minutes because of that situation. Communication helped a lot.
