Unbelievable. Great staff, and the owner truly cares about making it the best place for his customers. I met the owner/roaster, roasting out in the open during my visit. He and I had a lengthy conversation, and I was so impressed with everything he has going on!They are closed on Sundays, and he lets a church meet in the coffee shop.Oh yeah, and the coffee tastes amazing!

Excellent coffee. I mean superb. Espresso is sweet with caramel and a tiny bit of smoke. Black coffee is smooth, no trace of bitterness - strong, but not overpowering. Make this your spot, you wont regret it.

Great place for work, school, or just hanging out! Coffee is the best in the area and the staff is always friendly and responsive. I work from here all day a couple days a week and it’s amazing. This building also houses Rams Head Coffee Roasters which roasts the best beans in the valley. I couldn’t recommend this shop enough!

First time going here, was excited to try given the positive reviews. Got the maple bomb latte and there’s no espresso in it. They gave me $5 warm milk. How can one of two ingredients be missed? Will never go back.

Great coffee! Am giving 4 starts because although the coffee drinks are tasty, they are luke warm. Even when asked for extra hot they are still on the cooler side. If you are looking for a place to do homework or computer work, this is the place. There is a lot of table space with access to plug-ins!

Couldn’t even enjoy the food and coffee there because almost everyone there was sick and coughing behind the counter. Not sure who the managers or owners of this place are but they clearly do not care about the health of their employees or guests. Ridiculous that they have clearly sick employees coming in during a pandemic making drinks without masks. Please change your policies.

Great coffee baristas horrible coffee do not recommend the coffee

Firstly, Im a former barista who specialized in pour-overs and latte art and I can say, without a doubt, youll find great coffee here. The fairly open set up feels more comfortable during covid. A bit of outdoor seating, alternative milk options, at least one gluten free pastry option at a time, and friendly staff. They have their own classic-looking coffee roaster in the seating area so you can view this magnificent piece of machinery up close. I believe the owners are Christian, so its not open on Sundays (which tbh is nice for the baristas to be guaranteed one weekend day off). That said, I look heckin queer and Ive come and rented the back room with all kinds of weirdos and Ive never once felt judged there. They have booth seating and table seating so its friendly for folks of mixed sizes. There is an animal head on the wall, which is fitting for MT but if that bugs you, now you know. They have a lot of neat merch which can cost you a pretty penny, but its a nice souvenir for Bozeman nonetheless.

Great atmosphere, good coffee and food. Pretty average prices for bozeangles, but not one of these places that charges $15 a bite for food either.

Really nice space with a beautiful coffee bar wrapping around the roasting machine. I may well like this space better than the Oak Street location.

The coffee prices are very expensive compared to other similar coffee shops in Bozeman. Almond and coconut milk are not available as milk alternatives. Currently $5 for a 12 oz latte.Ample seating area and places to plug in make the shop great for working remotely. The wifi works well and doesnt require annoying setup that the corporate coffee shops require, which can disrupt the internet connection during longer sessions.Easy parking has been available every time Ive visited the west location.

Coffee is somehow always the perfect drinking temperature. Excellent coffee, excellent Mochas. Staff is kind and make great coffee! Awesome interior, and makes me want to hang out there and drink coffee. Best spot to sit is by the fireplace. Overall, great.

If you are looking for one of the best cups of coffee in town this is absolutely the right place for you. They take their time getting your coffee made right and the wait is worth your while. To top it off they have a great atmosphere that is perfect for business meetings, school work, or even a quick coffee with a friend.

As a student Ive tried every coffee and tea shop in town and I am impressed with this location in particular. They are fast and always kind. Their food is reasonably priced and there is plenty of seating options when it gets full of studying students. Comfy place.

The coffee is good, I had the medium roasted black no cream no sugar. I also got some water at their tap on the counter but it did taste funny maybe even a little salty? Otherwise nice place. The person taking my order did seem distracted by whomever was talking in her earpiece for the drive through...multitasking I suppose.

Cold Smoke and their staff are the best of the best! Great service and tea, coffee and snacks are always available with a smile. They are awesome about giving back to this community too. Love this cozy coffee spot and the new coffee roasting spot inside too!

This is my go to coffee shop.My dad was in the coffee business while I grew up so I know good coffee and boy do they have it. The staff is incredibly friendly. They remember my name and order and they have that kind of relationship with a lot of people.the live music they have weekly is always a fun experience. Its also a great place to go do homework as a college student. they have fast wifi, and lots of room to get away from distractions

Best Chai Latte Ive probably ever had. Sausage and Egg Breakfast burrito was pretty good too! Yummy and fast!

You might drive by when stopping by for the first time, but its worth the turn around! If youve been to their first location then you already have a good idea of what youre getting. A nicely spaced Coffeeshop offering some local tastes, conference rooms in the back, and semi-regular live music. Cant go wrong ordering anything, and you can take your time chatting, relaxing, or even working here.

Great coffee great place to have small meetings or to work. However, they only serve 2 or 4 shots of espresso (you cant order 1 or 3 shots). Also their frappes are just milkshakes until you ask for and pay extra to get espresso in them. Id still go back.

Lots of room great chai tea! The coffee and tea really reflects the atmosphere, really up to date nice modern feel. Right off the main drag, super easy to find.

Always love coming here! The coffee is almost always great! I usually get a quad shot mocha because I trust they wont burn the shots. Also, they actually stream the milk properly (dense foam without burning it) and have fun latte art to top it off!When I want an actual good mocha and a place to study for a couple hours, my first choice is always Coldsmoke.

The London fog tea latte is delicious. Make sure you get a treat too. Cookies or scones or one of each.

Their drinks are good, but their drive thru is pretty neglected. Very slow service every time I’ve stopped on my way to work in the morning. The drive thru on Oak is much faster.

I Love this place, Its a nice place for coffee with nice staff. .My concern is that their drive thru service is way to slow. Perhaps they are under staffed.

Terrible coffee... ordered two white chocolate mochas, one hot and the other iced. Both tasted like they had no coffee and instead was just water mixed with a little bit of flavor. Definitely not what my wife and I expected by visiting a local coffee shop where the prices are higher than Starbucks. Ended up throwing out our drinks and going to Starbucks where the coffee is mediocre but at least consistent.

Very pretty place, horrible coffee and tea. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because of the atmosphere and friendly baristas. I have tried multiple drinks here, from black coffee to their London fog, and it all tastes super gross. The coffee has always seemed burnt, and the tea is just nasty. The only thing I get here is their bottled soda.

Ive visited this specific cold smoke twice now, and have had two marginal experiences. The first time I got 2 coffees and 2 pastries. The bill was over $20, which I could cope with, but the coffee was barely warm and the pastries not fresh. My second visit echoed my first.

Lots of seating, booths, etc. 2 meeting rooms in back. A new fav out-of-the-way place to go. Has a mission contributing to water needs around the world.

I used to go every Monday for a group meeting in a reserved space, and the coffee os great, I love their sweet Chai. Its very nice and open for large groups or small ones as they have a variety of seating. Its cozy and warm atmosphere very industrial and rustic.

The wifi is so fast! They do a fantastic job creating a nice thick foam, and the baristas are really friendly. I love the atmosphere and the tech-friendly setup.

ColdSmoke it is not only a great coffee house but its also a wonderful atmosphere for small meetings and just getting away to work on something by yourself. The free Wi-Fi has sufficient signal strength and does not cause any issues. If you want a great coffee, a great time, privacy, and a great setting, this is the place for you

Spacious, variety of places to sit, beautiful interior, nice folks, great lattes and breakfast biscuits. Be aware that all of this comes at a price though: the most expensive coffee in Bozeman, and probably all of Montana.

I really like this place; great coffee and friendly staff. My only feedback is that November 6th is a little early for Christmas music.
