Great shop with a lot of newer records but they do have used. Some gems can be found in the basement for $1. John was very helpful. I just happened to mention Grant Green and he found me a new print record of early recording. Sold! We were able to talk at length about lounge albums for my collection. He even knew of Zia records in PHX. Had a great time there. Been ages since Ive removed shrink wrap from a record!!

One of the coolest stores in Bozeman. Had an amazing time looking around and laughing at all the cool stuff. Kind staff and fun atmosphere. Just wish there was more locally made stuff. Definitely a stop if you’re in downtown Bozeman.

The most overpriced record store Ive ever frequented.They have as much or more merch in store as they do actual music.Generally a great selection, but only if youre looking for new releases and reissues/represses that you could find anywhere else, or have shipped to your door.I never questioned that we should support record stores until I moved to MT and started paying twice retail cost of a record-so that other people can pay the rent on a shop that mainly sells things completely unrelated to music.

Cactus is one of those Bozeman places. You gotta love it. I was downtown for something completely unrelated but I had to poke my head in to check out their vinyl selection. I think its unfortunate that we live in a time when a music store needs to supplement with knickknacks but Im not blaming the store for that. Ive been going to cactus as long as I can remember definitely an institution. Go there. Super friendly as helpful staff.

Im a bit of a vinyl nerd. This place has a massive collection of new and used vinyls on TWO floors. Not only vinyl, but I also did a bunch of my Christmas shopping here as they offer a great rewards program and have a wide selection of shirts, hats, and other novelties. Definitely worth stopping by.

Great shop and prices. I love Bacon Bit!!! I also really like the membership program. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I wish they had older records (1940s and before). But overall, a great store.

I have been coming into Cactus Records for anything and everything for more than 20 years. I love this store. It is everything you could want from a Main Street location, with all the charm of an opt-out gift shop full of great gadgets, fun presents, and great music. The vibe is irreplaceable - come and loiter, enjoy, shop, relax.

Super helpful and knowledgeable about products in the store. Wish I could have spent a lot more time in here. Next time I will plan to stay and play for a while! 🤓

A fantastic record store with good selection and pricing. They are constantly bringing in new stuff, not just new releases but imports, reissues, and used vinyl too. The staff are super friendly and are happy to order in specific albums for you. Cactus is also the best place in town to get tickets for local shows.

Good small town record shop. You can often order music not found in shop. Funny gag gifts, good incense selection, standard tapestries and dorm room/smoke den decor.

Always have a great stock to choose your next boogie groove from and can even special order in some of the more obscure or brand new records!

Old school style record store. I buy most of my vinyl here, theyve got a great selection. Its always worth flipping through their bargain bin, Ive found some great swing box sets for dirt cheap (a 6-album set for $3 stands out in my mind). Their apparel is awesome too, lots of local T-shirts and hats. Ive gotten my family a number of Bozeman shirts as Christmas and birthday presents here.

Its a quirky record store on main street in Bozeman with a variety of music in vinyl, CD format. I stop in every time Im in Bozeman, mostly for their unique T-shirt selection.

Mostly poorly organized and overpriced with some gems. The used stuff is often hilariously overpriced. They do irritating things like put stickers directly on the record sleeve. Still, I like to see places like this stick around so I go there every once in awhile. Worth checking out.

Cool campus record shop with very unique gifts, t-shirts, rare vinyl and gift at great prices plus ticket sales for shows in Bozeman.

We love it here, usually a pretty good deletion for a small record store but the prices are usually a few dollars more than other stores or online, so we dont always buy a ton here. Overall, a good store though.
