Luisa and her staff did a fantastic job remaking a bed skirt to fit our adjustable beds. We recently bought two Leggett and Platt adjustable twin beds with lumbar support, but we could not find a ready-made bed skirt for them that would work with these particular beds. The ready-mades were either not the right fabric, or height or width or would not allow for the lumbar support mechanism. After finding Custom Sewing by Luisa on Google, we were able to buy two ready-made 18- inch matelassé skirts which Luisa and her staff altered to make them narrower and added buttonholes for the metal supports at the foot of each bed and plackets to allow the lumbar support to raise and lower through the center of the platform on each bed skirt. Doing this saved us a “bundle” that fabric stores would have charged to make custom skirts for us. Luisa is very professional; she returns calls and emails quickly and provides excellent customer service. We especially like that we can talk to her directly about the specifics of what we need rather than having to explain it to a salesperson who then passes the details along to a workroom. We are so satisfied with the result of our bed skirt project that we are already scheduled for our next two projects with Luisa.

Luisa and her team did a fantastic job on the custom cushions for my breakfast bench. I was able to add chair cushions and pillows to accent the bench for the same price i was being quoted for just the bench cushions from other companies.

This woman is AMAZING!! She updated 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen and everything is perfect! We had her cover 4 cornices for our master bedroom, a king headboard, make matching pillows for the bed and make a matching dust ruffle for a split king temperpedic bed. She came up with a plan to make slits where the foot wire holder for the bed exists and created a Velcro panel, so we could slip the dust ruffle over the wire holders and it lays perfectly! The accent pillows that she created were beautiful, with an artistic flair!! She is honest, very reasonable, does exceptional work and is a delight to deal with!!! I would recommend this business to anyone with sewing needs!!!

Had a custom pillow created out of a shirt, and also another alteration for a stuffed animal that were both gifts for loved ones. Both items were finished done perfectly and in good time!

I found her shop by googling upholstery. I have a La-Z-Boy recliner that had a hole in the seat and their repairman could not fix it. I found fabric that matched my new couch and chair and thought it would make great pillows, arm covers, and a seat covering. Luisa repaired the chair so well that you couldn’t tell where the hole had been! I described to her what I wanted and she took the measurements. I was absolutely thrilled with the outcome!! I got EXACTLY what I asked for! Such TOP QUALITY work!! I would not hesitate to use her again. She has a tremendous selection of fabrics in her store to choose from! My friends think it looks fabulous! I was hoping to post pictures but don’t see that option.

I needed some lounge chair covers replaced. Based on their good reviews, I chose Custom Sewing by Luisa. They were friendly, helpful and upfront about their timing (closing for the holidays). They looked busy, were knowledgeable and seemed to trust and work together as a team. They gave me an estimate of how much material I would need to complete the job (assuming a solid color). I brought them the material that afternoon (I bought extra because it was striped) and left them the “old” cover to use as a pattern. And I asked if there was enough, I’d like two lumbar cushions in the same sunbrella material. The next day they called to confirm the direction of the stripe. And they delivered the cushion covers two days early - with the lumbar pillows! AND with more than 5 yards of material left over (which is the amount I overbought from their estimate to handle the stripes). The Workmanship was superb! The patterns were matched perfectly! The piping was straight and uniform. The zippers were heavy duty for outside and there were NO stray strings! My Mom was an expert seamstress, so I know what to look for! These women were very very good. Clearly, they took pride in doing a job well and complete.The pricing was fair, especially for the quality produced. I will be back with many more projects for them! I own two cottages that desperately need new window treatments!A Gem!!!

Not only did this shop do excellent work, when I used them, they under-promised and over-delivered! I thought my drapes werent going to be ready until after Christmas due to their heavy work load.
