Customer service is excellent.. Bill was very accommodating and worked my Jeep in quickly to accommodate my schedule. The repair bill was reasonable I really feel I can trust them to treat me fairly. I’ll definitely return for any further work I might need.

I needed to have my brakes replaced immediately due to my work schedule. They were able to set up an immediate appointment working with my schedule. I was pleased that they did not over charge, they were fair, extremely easy to work with, and I recommend them to anyone that needs work done on their car.

Went there for an alignment this last winter. Had no issues with my brakes at all when I got there. They did the alignment and had the front tires off. When they finished he started it up and the brake light came on immediately and said the brakes were spongy backing off the lift. Come to find out the brake fluid was spraying all over the side of the motor. I didn’t even make it 4 miles and I was completely empty on brake fluid. I had to keep pumping the brakes at stop signs. I called him as soon as I looked at it when I got home and he said bring it back and they would check it out. When I got there he said they won’t cover fixing it said it’s not their responsibility and it would be $400-$600 dollars to repair. I ended up taking it to a different shop and getting it fixed.

Bill and the gentleman who worked on our car, saved our vacation. My husbands car needed a new water pump, we had to leave for vacation in a couple of days, and they made no promises that it would be completed in time.Yet, they were able to get it done in time. They even went the extra mile, to borrow a tool from a dealership, that was needed, to complete the job!We are more than impressed with Advance Auto Repair!

Mike and his crew are awesome. While in town for the week for vacation, I had some vehicle issues. Another shop gave me a quote for $800, that seemed high, so I brought the quote to Advanced Auto Repair. Bill quoted me for the same job at about half price. Turns out other shop was charging full book time on two separate items, even though the labor overlapped.Mike overheard me on the phone trying to line up a ride back to the campground I was staying at, then insisted he would bring me there.Great service, relatively quick turnaround, especially since I didnt have an appointment.

We were an hour from home, when the brakes on our truck went out. They were stiff, but we could still apply enough pressure to stop. Great service, efficient, knowledgeable, professional and informative. We brought a vehicle here about a year ago After hearing good things. Glad we did! Yesterday our truck accelerated full throttle for no apparent reason on busy Washington ave in Brainerd. My husband braked hard and managed to get off the roadway and turn if off! We had it towed to Advanced and this am they called to say they found an acorn holding the throttle open!!! No charge which is nice. We certainly will be back.

My 2007 Honda Odyssey had a blown head gasket. The car was in great shape otherwise and we wished to have it restored. Advanced auto installed a used engine with low millage. They did an excellent job. There were no unreasonable surprises. A couple of brackets and an engine sensor that were needed were unexpected expenses, but the price for those was also very reasonable. We have lived in Brainerd for 10 years, but in the past, I have brought our cars to a mechanic in the Twin Cities for repairs. The sale of that business caused me to look for another option. I am impressed with the management and mechanics at Advanced Auto, and I will not hesitate to bring my cars to them in the future!

Best repair shop I know! Took my car in for a scheduled oil change an hour early so I could attend a funeral. They got me in and out within a half hour. Fair prices and great customer service.

These guys are the best. Ive been taking my cards to them for about 10 years now and I will not go anywhere else. Ive shown up leaking oil at 8am and they got me right in. They are fair priced and work hard with the customer to get things done right. Wonderful customer service and they dont try to sell you those extra repairs. All around great mechanics in the back, and Bill and Mike in the front. You wont get better service anywhere else. I recommend them to everywhere.

At our last stop the car started missing.Unfortunately it was 3:30 in the Afternoon. Stopped in to see if they could maybe help but they looked very busy. Explained our situation and they agreed to take a lookat the car. Should also mention our car is a Volvo and several shops wont even work on them. In either case they diagnosed the problem as a bad coil. Luckily one of their local parts suppliers had one and our car was fixed within an hour!! Cant thank Advanced Auto enough! Great service and fair! I brought my car in for tires and brakes. After an initial hiccup on the scheduling, my car was ready in no time. I purchased a set of tires on-line and they put them on for less than $60.00. The brake job was also done quickly and at a very fair price. I was also having issues with my windshield washer fluid not coming out. They took a look at that as well and fixed it at no cost. That meant a lot to me and will get me to bring my vehicles there moving forward. Thanks Bill!

I was experiencing an overheating problem with my pickup. It had been worked on but my local mechanic wasnt confident that the problem was solved. On the way to Brainerd and pulling my boat, I began to experience more overheating problems. I was able to make it to Brainerd and found Advanced Auto Repair. I explained the background on the overheating issue and they were willing to take a look at it. They diagnosed it as a head gasket issue and gave me suggestions for being able to take it home. They knew that if I was going to get it fixed that I would have it fixed at home. They didnt charge me for the diagnosis. I found the staff very knowledgeable and extremely reasonable given the situation. I would recommend their shop and if I ever have vehicle issues again in Brainerd I would certainly return to Advanced Auto Repair.

Cant say enough about the service I got. Excellent! Didnt try to charge me for extra things that I didnt bring the vehicle in for. Was able to get my repair done same day, even after the snow storm we had. And the price was $100-$200 cheaper than other shops in town. I will be bringing my vehicle back for any future repairs.

Mike the owner super nice and worked us in, even though they were busy. Charged AC unit with freon and fixed a leak all in about an hour, fantastic service, fair price, air blowing ice cold. My family was staying in the area and ready to head 2.5 hours home. Our car wouldn’t start but we were able to get a jump. After the jump our hood wouldn’t close, we called Advanced and they said to bring it in. When I arrived they knew what I needed, came to the parking lot and had it fixed in 5 minutes nevermind the -9 degree day. All for the cost of a handshake, these guys are the real deal. We were on our way for a brief vacation in the Bemidji area when the check engine light came on. We were driving our Volvo XC70. We did a quick internet check and found Advanced Auto Repair ..........stopped in. Mike was very responsive and quickly had the OBD code read and cleared. He explained in detail the code and the meaning of the code. He advised us that the problem identified was minor and that it would not effect the drive-ability of the car.
