I had a morning that I never want to experience again... I had a flat tire on the interstate of all places. I was towed to Pep Boys and that is where my day got brighter. Lacy was there to greet me with a smile and kindness. He helped me get two new tires on the front of my car and even called me a Lyft to get to work while my car was being repaired. I was shocked he did that for me and helped make my day better. It is always nice to have a kind soul on the other end of what started to be a pretty stressful day. Thank you Lacy and Pep Boys! Hopefully I dont see you again anytime soon but I know where Ill be going to get new tires when it is time!

I came in for an alignment at this location with an appointment at 11:30am on Aug 31.2021. I purchased a lifetime alignment warranty with Pep Boys a few years back. After waiting an hour, I walked over to the desk to see what was going on with my vehicle. Conveniently my car is finally being looked at, and I need to replace a bad bolt on my control arm. I just replace both of my control arms, one being last week. So they go ahead and do the alignment. 30 more minutes of waiting, I get my keys to my vehicle at 1:47pm. I didnt make it to the light before my check engine light comes on. I do a u turn and the Manager Lacy says it couldnt be their fault. Even though it wasnt on before I got there. And they tried to sell me more services/ products. Lacy proceeds to use the coder to check what the computer is saying the problem is, then he said he couldnt give me a print out. Which is a lie. He eventually printed it.I also have a piece of my frame hanging off in the backside of my passenger side of the door.

These guys are awesome. They know what they’re doing. G Lacey the manager is very honest and professional. It’s definitely my go to place for my car from now on.

In my opinion, this is the best place to buy tires in Brandon. Very honest business with no surprises or price gouging.. The service was fast and professional and the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. The manager especially was very helpful and was even able to give me a better deal than was advertised. They also rotate your tires every 5kmiles free and offer free roadside for one year. Also after checking around, I found there price for oil change was almost half as less as take 5. I will be having them service my vehicle from now on. Great work guys!

PepBoys stores vary, the guys in brandon, are better than avg. Stores reflect management and how busy they are. Do not show up 45 min before closing. Some stuff is common sense. Parts available is sometimes an issue, but no way they can have a warehouse of parts, at each spot.

Was having trouble finding a Is certain size tire to fit my truck. Contacted Pep Boys #139Where I spoke with Jacob, The time frame in which I was going to be able to get the tire from them was not going to work so I started looking elsewhere. A few minutes later Jacob call me back had found the tire locally and set it up so I was able to pick the tire up and get it to my mechanic and get it on the truck.You seldom find customer service like that nowadays Owning a small business its important to get our vehicles up and going again. Great Job Pep Boys and Jacob, you have a new customer.

I had a car battery die on me as I was out of town, filling my truck with fuel and I was basically stuck in a really bad position with my vehicle, dead at the fuel pump, and a customer waiting for me to come to his jobsite. I got a jump start from a Great Samaritan at the fuel station and drove straight to this Pep Boys auto center and explained my dilemma to the sales person at the checkout counter. Long story short, the Pep Boys garage was completely full and they were backed up with additional walk-in customers, including now me also. The guys still took my truck keys and within ten (10) minutes (I am NOT exaggerating), my truck was complete, outfitted with a new battery, and ready to go!!!The service at this Pep Boys facility blew me away. They knew that I was stuck in a tough situation and totally got me out of trouble all the while with a smile, in an amazingly quick amount of time! Ten minutes!!!!!!!I cannot recommend this Pep Boys location any higher! The guys are AMAZING!Thank You Pep Boys ! ! !

No one can get it perfect 100% of the time. The true test is how well the problem is addressed. I did have to spend a lot of time reaching out to Pep Boys as the problem happened on a Sunday, but finally the General Manager took care of everything. He was very nice and I really feel like he cared about what happened and really wanted to fix the problem.

My father and I take both of our vehicles there for service. They do outstanding work with fair prices.

I’ve used this location before a few times. The first time I came for a tire and oil change things went smooth and it was great service. The next time I came I waited for 30 minutes just for them to send me to another Pep Boys down the street. It was no issue to me though. After today I will never use this Pep Boys again. I dropped my car off at the early drop box, after setting an appointment for an oil change and engine check. The instructions say call at 8am to make sure it’s checked in. I called at 8am, and it just rang. 8:05am it just rang. Got ahold of some at 8:30am to let them know I dropped my key in the box with the instructions, I was rushed off the phone. Still didn’t bother me because I understand it could’ve been busy. Got a call back after noon for them to say they ran a test but can’t tell me the estimate of what it will cost to fix and got off the phone. I said ok cool just let me know because I’m going to need my car after I get off and to the location at 6. I went into a meeting an two hours later had my girl call for me. Still no update on the part needed and they guy didn’t even follow up with the part location for what was needed. He just said “well it’s not gonna be done today”. Thing is it would’ve been done today if it was worked on when it was supposed to be. When I get to the store at 6pm that will be 12 hours my car has been sitting there with no work done. But I understand the location opens around 8am. So we will just say 10 hours with no work done. Not even the oil change which was the main reason I booked the appointment. Dropped my car off early to be convenient for the shop. This location does not share the same respect, courtesy, and professionalism. I’m hesitant to go to any pep boys again, and I’m a rewards member with a line of credit which is used and paid on time, EVERY MONTH.

Awful service. The employees that this business has for Sunday are very lazy just talking to each other instead of working. No customer service skills. I have been there before many times but after today I am not coming back. I did an appointment for something easy and quick and they only leave my car hanging there while they keep hanging around. When I asked for my car keys as I decided to leave, they keep talking and hanging out in the service area.

I needed to have a tire patched so I called Pep Boys they told me they could do it now. I arrive no more than 10 minutes later, wait at the counter for what felt like 20 minutes and the guy looks at me like I’m crazy and tells me that I’ll need to leave the car here because it’ll be hours because they are busy. Acted like that was completely normal.

Very helpful. I needed new tires & new windshield wipers. They helped me with both. They also made sure I didnt buy the wrong size wipers & they installed them for me.

Best customer service I’ve ever had at a mechanic! They walked me through everything and did a great job, fast. They gave me a great quote too for future work. I’m very satisfied with my experience and highly recommend getting your car fixed here!

UPDATE:(In due fairness, I did not go into the shop area.. i was only in the store part.. just an FYI as I dont want an unjust opinion of the shop area).This place has changed so much. Its downsized to about half the size of Autozone or Advanced and their stock is waning terribly. I needed a simple fuel filter and they had nothing other than high dollar performance fuel filters and the gentleman behind the counter was absolutely no help.I wont be wasting my time with this place in the future.

Highly recommended if you want to get quick and professional service for your car or just buying for any vehicle related items. There are a few pep boys near the area but this one location stands out for its great customer service and outstanding work. Gave them a call to see if I can have my four tires and wheels swap for new ones and they helped me the same day I made the call. I thought they would schedule me to come in for the next day because I called them an hour before they close. Even though it was close to closing they made sure that the job gets done and that it gets done right without rushing it.

Hours are 7am to 7pm but the doors are locked at 11am???

We bought car seat covers. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Had a wide variety auto parts accessories. they did not have some of what we were looking for however he looked it up and told us where we could find it, even though it was at a competitor. That is a true salesperson on a floor just making sure the customer knows where and what to get. Will most definitely return if needed.

Went to Pep Boys in Brandon today.I had called quite worried about my tire having suddenly gone flat driving home with kids in the car.The guy who answered the phone (Jeremy) said ‘Just come in. Don’t worry we will take care of it’! —Which is exactly what you WANT to hear, as a single mom with 2 children that need to be towed around town daily.So I put ‘fixaflat’ in the tire and headed over.As usual, Pep Boys came through with a great deal and the quickest service I have ever experienced. I think I was waiting a total of 10 minutes tops.I couldn’t be happier with the service I received today. And I know for sure there’s no place in town, that would have given me a better deal. I highly recommend anyone coming in to this location speak with Jeremy if possible. He was very clear& direct with no typical up charge schemes that car repair shops are known for. And above all- I could tell he really cared and customer service skills were awesome.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ROD AND JASON. I don’t deal with cars other than washing mine, I pretty much know nothing about car maintenance. These 2 went above and beyond for the simplest fix. I haven’t encountered retail customer service like theirs since I can even remember. Highly recommend this Pep Boys store and to ask for either one of these reps. I’ve shopped all the other big car parts stores and never expect any sort of customer service, these 2 gentleman just set a new standard and expectation for me from ALL retail stores. Went to Pep Boys on Friday, March 6th to get a nail removed from my back right tire. Mechanic said that they could not take the nail out because of where the nail was located due to DOT regulations. When they tried to sell me a tire, I declined. Immediately after I left, I heard a sound coming from the left side of my car. When I pulled back in to Pep Boys, I noticed a completely different screw on my front left tire. When I confronted the mechanic about the screw on my front left tire and let him know that it was never there before, the mechanic started making excuses and said it happens all of the time. I told them that I would not be paying for the tire fix on my front left tire and they finally relented to fixing my front left tire. I have included photos so everybody could see the difference in the nails and have posted this review to warn others not to visit this shop!!!

Pretty upsetting that EVERYTIME I schedule an appointment for an oil change they’re “backed up” and it’ll take an hour and a half +. What is the point in scheduling an appointment? Very frustrating trying to give someone your business now a days.

These guys are amazing!!! The best I have ever dealt with!!! Tires, oil changes...etc...trust them!!! Shout out to Ted an awesome auto/tech mechanic...he deserves a raise...stayed late just to make sure I was taken care of. 💙

I know Im going to always get the best rates and service when I go to Pep Boys. I get the same things done that I would at my dealership with a significantly reduced price.

I am so disappointed in this place. I am a female and it’s very sad to see that these men see a female alone trying to take advantage and charge me for things that are not even broke on my vehicle. I know how to fix cars it’s just I don’t have the time to do it myself so I brought my car here. I knew exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and knew the estimated price that I would need to spend. They actually called me back and made up all these issues to have me come out of pocket more then I should have. I said forget it don’t touch my vehicle. I will now be buying my parts from Napa and working on the vehicle myself. Jacob and Scott are the worse. The owners should really investigate who they have working for them.

I do not recommend getting service done at this location unless you have a lot of time on your hands. This place has absolutely no concern for the time of their customers. I went there for a 9:30 appointment to have some suspension and alignment work done. They took quite a while to initially start the actual evaluation of the system. After the evaluation they returned with a quote that contained the most expensive parts with no mention of choice of quality or selection. Because the quote was quite a bit out of my price range, I went with a fraction of the recommended work in addition to the alignment.This work took quite a long time. After seeing my car was unattended for a long period of time at 12:00, I asked when the work would be done. I was told the work would be complete as soon as the alignment was complete and there was another car ahead of me in the alignment cue despite the fact I came in at 9:15 with an appointment.Due to pressing matters, I had to leave at 12:30. Although the alignment was the primary reason for my visit, it was not complete in the 3 hours I spent at the store. I do not understand how this type of mechanic work could possibly take that long and how members of the staff believe it is reasonable to keep a customer waiting that long. I do not plan to return to this location for service and I do not recommend it for others.

Thank goodness for this store! I went to my original dealer service after experiencing some vibration any time I went over 50 mph. Long story short their diagnosis of unbalanced tires did not solve my actual issue of a broken cv joint. Props to the guys at pep boys for finding my actual issue and doing it at a reasonable cost. Definitely earned a lifetime customer!

I enjoyed that experience so I came back...we were able to just look and compare without being ...can I help you can I help you...but if needed someone was near by we could ask...we picked up and looked and talked and compared...we finally decided on one and went to check out... the young man who was at the counter was attentive and courteous....told us about the deal of the day...I was impressed... over all we would come back...thank you for a nice experience....Sandy and Jennifer....

I looked on the website and then went in and spoke with Jose and he was extremely professional and answered my questions straight forward. He didn’t try to play games like the only way you get that deal is if you do an alignment and pay for all the extended warranties and the installations and this and that. He was just straight forward and treated me awesome. I would highly recommend them as well as this location.

I went in for a right front turn signal. I already knew it was in stock. The guy at the counter couldnt find it in his system. After finally locating it, he still had to ask someone else if it was the correct bulb. I thought I would be in and out 2 minutes top, seeing as I was the ONLY customer, I was there for 10 minutes.

Tire was low today and saw it had a big screw in it. Stopped in after work and they had it fixed in a jiffy with no hassle. On a side note, I noticed getting back into my car to leave that I had left my wallet sitting there in the car the whole time, but it hadnt even been touched 😊. Been getting tire services here for years among other things, theyve been good to me.

I would give them a zero if there was one...HORRIBLE !!!THEY ARE THIEVES - SIMPLE AND CLEAR. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!!My brakes were making some noise and I took my Lexus to be checked. They told me that the pads were completely gone (only 4% remaining) and went as far as to imply that it was not safe even to drive the car because the brakes could fail at any given moment. They real scared me!I was about to part off with about $799 for new brake system before something told me that may be I should seek second advice somewhere else. I went to another shop and I was surprised to be told that my pads were actually OK (65% remaining) and that they should be OK until my next synthetic oil change (3,900 miles). They fixed the brake noise and I paid $10.00 - Ten dollars! It turned out something was loose and they tightened it and applied some grease. It has been almost three months now and my brakes are as smooth as ever.They also forced me to change my wipers not knowing that I has replaced them just two weeks ago. They seemed to be surprised when I told them that my wipers were fine.I will NEVER go to these thieves again nor my family members, co-workers etc. Please spread the word about these rippers!

Even checked my alignment for free just to make sure i get the most out of my tires. Cant be more happy with this place. Also I was there right ad they walked in 9am. And not one person didnt have a smile and every one just was really pleasant. On top of top quality service and pricing! Def go here before you try another place. Firestone ripped me off last time i needed tires, well lets not say rip off but def over priced and not nearly as helpful.

Had great customer service. We were a walk in with a broken tire valve and Robert helped us right away and even helped get some money off our purchase by signing us up for rewards. He also told us all the places to eat to go while we were waiting. They were very fast. I had gone to the one in Temple Terrace before and i had awful service, so i would definitely say this is the better Pep Boys.

I would recommend Firestone instead. I had a poor experience with staff, service was not performed in a timely manner, and additional services were pushed on me that were incorrect or not needed at this time.

I am very happy I brought my Mercedes-Benz to Pep Boys. The service provided was very professional, and done with integrity. Chris, one of the managers was very helpful and knowledgeable. This Pep Boys location is OUTSTANDING. I bring our company Vehicles out here regularly, sometimes twice a month because they get driven so much. Joe, Michael and Jose always check me in quickly and communicate clearly about work that does and doesnt need to be done. They did a good job on what I needed done, but 2 1/2 hour wait to replace one tire is ridiculous. Also, them Pep boys need to put some actual pep in their step. The guy who went out to get my car was walking a snails speed, like he didnt even want to be there. Service is good, but needs to be faster - a LOT faster.

The headlight on our Prius was out. The Toyota dealership cost us $260 to replace a light bulb last time, so we tried Pep Boys this time, and they were amazing! The employee only charged us for the bulb, and popped it right in for us. He even noticed that another light was out and took care of that, too! We were out of there for under $30. Thank you so much Pep Boys! You rock!

Go early to get in and out quickly. They open at 7am. Traffic around the shop can beca problem. I went for a warranty oil change. Service reps were very helpful. Very detailed paperwork. Good experience.

Oil change took 40 minutes, fine but then 30 minutes before anyone could tell me my car was done and in the parking lot! Wait no-one told me i got up and had to ask for my keys so i can leave while the person who helped me was laughing and talking looking very comfortable. Once i asked the guy hey my car been done for about 30 minutes he doesnt apologize he just says what car, what happen to customer service??! I then get in my car, after i just had it detailed inside and the guy left the sticker wrapper on my floor like my car is a trash can. Can management please manage your employees.

Lacy and Humbert are excellent Customer Service Advisors. They do everything to treat you like a valuable customer. They even gave me a Lyft home while my car gets the needed services.

We pulled in with a screw in our tire. By the time someone talked to us our tire was completely deflated-the guy simply said “we don’t have time” and stared at us.... we’re stranded in their parking lot. Thanks for the incredibly rude response

Charged me $120 to tell me they couldn’t fix my car

This Brandon location service department does not care about your time. Service advisor said 45 minutes. Its been 2 hours and my car is still untouched and I dont see a mechanic in site. I see people walking around slower than snails. Will never come here again. Go somewhere else. Your time is too valuable and these people dont care.I went in for oil change and tire rotation. After mechanic was done I asked if he did the tire rotation and he said he forgot. I asked if he at least put air in because it was low and he said yes. I knew he was lying. I went to the gas station immediately after and had to put in 10 psi more to meet the car manufacturer specs.2.5 hours waisted. How could he forget tire rotation when that was the 1st thing I asked for.
