Theres a reason why they have 2 star average reviews!! was going to let all this slide but since the girl at the Brandon location tried to hit me with the fine print.. here we go. Fowler location mounts and balances front tires. Sells me alignment with 1yr warranty. Fowler after 3 attempts and 3 different trips simply cant properly balance the wheels and gives up. They damaged 2 wheels so bad they had to buy 2 new ones. Went to have another shop balance and they find other repairs needed prior to proper alignments. I had the repairs made and figured Id try a different sears auto in Brandon to honor the alignment warranty. The girl pulls out some buried fine print on the back of a receipt saying the alignment warranty was void due to the other shop replacing parts. Now Im going to go for all my money back. At least Fowler location tried to make it right. The girl at Brandon just went straight to being a scumbag

Tony and Ellis are hands down the best. The level of service they offer is above and beyond. I came in with a concerns regarding a program they offer and not being refunded monies that were overpaid. They both sprung into action speaking with the company and leaving no stone unturned. I’m happy to say had it not been for their efforts I would still be trying to get a refund. Good service is hard to find and when you receive it such as these two managers have delivered it should be told. Forever grateful!Thank you... thank you

I recently took my car to this shop for new spark plugs and wires. (I was a return customer having gotten a battery replaced there a short time before.) After replacing the plugs and wires, the Service Manager called me and said my starter was bad and needed replacing. At the time of the battery failure, 3 different mechanics told me the starter was fine and was not involved in the failure of the car to start.Indeed, when I returned to my car at the Sears shop, when I tried to start my vehicle, with mechanic present talking on his phone(?), it would not even turn over, not even with a jump. I asked to see under the hood. The new wires to the new plugs were a jumbled mess. I looked at the mechanic, who was still talking on his phone while talking to me, who told me, the old plugs and wires were hard to get out. It is my opinion that the Sears mechanic shorted out the original starter in my vehicle while pulling out the old spark plugs and wires and replacing them. Why do I think this...?1. He did careless work putting in the new wires2. He was busy talking on the phone while speaking with me and while installing a new starter in my vehicle as I stood there and watched him.3. I was also told the coolant in my radiator overfill bottle was filthy and low and I needed radiator service. I had a radiator hose replaced and a radiator flush with new coolant added 1 month before at the Dealer and I checked their work on site. Their work was exceptional, therefore, the mechanic and Service Manager at Sears were being dishonest...lying.4. The Sears crew also told me my transmission fluid was dirty and low. I told them I had just had an oil change including a 20 point check up and was told I didnt need transmission service yet. Indeed when I checked the transmission fluid myself, it was clean and not low. I was lied to yet again.I will not return to Sears Auto Center, Brandon, Florida under any circumstances. In fact, because of this experience, I may not return to any Sears Auto Center again.Regarding the starter...I have been told its my word against the Sears mechanic. I am simply going to have to eat the new starter.

I went to sears to get tire for my truck and as I was standing in line a customer ahead of me was upset and would not reason with the sale rep. I commend the people behind the desk who dealt with her attitude, and the manager went beyond to please her....i think she wanted what ever the reason she brought her car here for free. I was not sure I should have stayed but after she left we received apologies from the sales rep. I got what I wanted and with no issue. I would recommend sears at this Brandon location to everyone I know............thank you the team at sears auto center

The customer service I received was very good, Abel the sales rep was helpful, informed me and kept me up to date while my new tires were installed. The only downside was calling ahead, no one picked up the phone prior after several attempts. I arrived in person and received excellent service.

Booked ahead of time with a service appointment for an alignment at 10am on a Sunday and was there at 10am on the dot to drop off my keys.Upon arriving there was a big line and a lot of duplicate data entry that I had already entered online - what is the point of even collecting it the first time then? Service wasnt done until around 3:30PM since they did not have a tech scheduled to come in until 1PM.Overall everyone was very nice to me and the pricing did not change - no up sell, but their process and scheduling seems really slow. They would greatly benefit by using their appointment maker to speed up key hand-off and also publishing the hours for their special services.

I recently got an oil change and maintenance service. A fuel system was completely also . Customer service was excellent . The auto technicians thoroughly inspected my car and did a wonderful job in taking care of my vehicle . I am looking forward to do business at sears in the future .

I have taken my car twice to the SEARS Brandon Mall, for the regular rotation and balance. I have provided to them on both cases clear instructions about how to rotate them for rear wheel drive cars. You would assume that performing this job tens of times a day, they would know... but they dont have the most minimum clue.Well, despite these specific instructions, they did it wrong both times!!! It seems they dont even know the difference between front and rear or left and right!!! And the first time the manager himself promised to make sure the rotation will be done properly. I know they did it wrong because I marked the location of the tires before I took it to SEARS, and the first time they just swapped them front to back, and the second one they rotated them for front wheel drive cars.The story doesnt end there, I called the SEARS corporate office, and they promised to call the manager to get this fixed... this never happened.Like I can waste 2-3 hours every time SEARS screws up the most simple job.STAY AWAY FROM THE SEARS AT BRANDON!

Went there because my brakes were causing a noise and they told me mt brake pad had a crack in it because I bought cheap brake pads( I just purchased this car, that was the last owner... love how they blame me) He said it has enough meat on the pad and its NOT a safety issue. So he wants over 300 dollars because the rotors would need to be shaved. ... said no and was charged 16 just because they looked at it. Went to another auto repair shop and saw with my own eyes that not one brake pad had a crack.... what i did see was a bracket that was rubbing against metal which is what caused the noise! A total of 90 it cost me vs over $300! And then they also tell you work you need done that was ALREADY done at their shop! If it was entered in their system they would know that! Good thing i.had the receipt to prove it! Horrible place!

I took my 2007 Toyota Sienna in for an oil change today. I needed to make a few stops in the mall so I thought going to Sears would be convenient. The shop was nearly empty but it took almost 2 hours to do my oil change. That was no problem considering I had shopping around to do anyways. I got a phone call from them stating the technician was looking my vehicle over and realized it needs 2 new front tires and an alignment. I was aware I needed a new front passenger tire but was not on the list for that day. I told them I was not getting new tires or an alignment today. They then informed me my oil change still was not done. Well mysteriously not even an hour after I left I had a flat tire and it was the one that was already bad. When my wheel was checked there was a nail in it that previously was not there before my oil change. Im not saying that put it there I am just saying it is pretty convenient.

The worst service I have ever experienced by far. The problem started on the phone call. The person on the phone is telling me that my appointment is not listed that he dont know what am talking about. And when I questioned their process by asking him how do they follow up with the appointment. He emediatly told me that I need to come down that he dont work for me. I never changed my tone of voice I was just verifying my appointment so I dont drive all the way out there for no reason.#2 When we got there it took 30minutes before some one acknowledged us and when this person realize it was me the person he just disrespected he pick up the phone ignoring us and started making phone calls. Then when the other person came out from the back reference him to help us because he told me that I did had an appointment. The other man also pick up the phone and made phone call before finally asking for my name. Not even a Hi How are you or an apology for the service issues. The poor African american lady waiting behind me was passing her arm in front of her as making sure she was not invisible. Because no one acknowledged her. This is the worst place I have ever being in my entire life. I use to feel bad about sear going out of business but if thats the service that they want to continue offering then I am glad they will close down people dont deserve the garbage of service.

Avoid this Sears location. On 12/31/19 I drove an hour to the Brandon location for an oil change since the Lakeland and Sebring locations are now closed down. I was in at 11:36 a.m and was out at 3:10 pm because they made the mistake of not verifying the car I was bringing in (online appointment) and didnt have the correct air filter in stock. The wait was over 2 hours for them to get the correct air filter.After getting back my car, a check engine light showed which wasnt there before. So I took it to my dealership instead to get it inspected. Their diagnosis is that a wire broke not from wear or tear but from accidently getting caught under the oil cap. So what was supposed to be a $80 oil change, is now going to be over $300 to get this broke wire fixed.I have called Sears multiple times but this location does not have a manager. All they could give me was a fax number and that a supposed corporate manager would call me back which has not happened while my car has been sitting at the dealerships shop for days.

They saved my life. To save money, I had someone put my brakes on for me, but I noticed something was not right! They were the ONLY place that wanted to check my brakes after 4pm. To make a long story short they took care of my car. If you want your car to be fixed the right way please go to the professional technicians at sears.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the girl at the desk/register was very nice. I took my because it wasn’t starting correctly and I wanted to have the battery checked. When I went to speak with the mechanic (Shaw) to explain to him the issues I was having he automatically cut me off and would speak over me. He was extremely RUDE, he even rolled his eyes to me. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he had already left for the day. When I asked for the assistant manager was told the same. I don’t understand why ALL management was gone when it was only 4pm. Can’t wait to call corporate offices tomorrow and explain how terrible my experience was.

Wonderful Customer Service! I brought in my 1999 Honda Accord that was in desperate need of a brake repair. I researched brakes on the web so that I would have a better understanding of parts and labor costs. I dealt with Richard & Mark. They took me out into the shop to show me the condition of my calipers, rotors, and pads. Their initial quote was almost laughable, but in the end was able to talk them down a little over $200.

4 hours to get a tire patched. Really 4 hours happy fathers day youve ruined the whole day. Went yesterday to get it plugged with my handicap child and they said no repairs after 5 pm it was 5:10. We have been loyal customers and even a sears employee for over 15 years. This is supposed to be good customer service. Wow sears.. Thanks for ruining our weekend and helping a family in need.

I will never go back to this Sears to get an oil change. My sister went a few months ago to get her oil changed and they charged her for the more expensive oil and said that they were not allowed to put conventional oil in her Ford based on manufactures product suggestion. I figured he was speaking specifically to Ford cars and I had been using Sears Auto in Tampa and always gotten conventional oil so I decided to use the Brandon store as I was in the area. When going to checkout I noticed the price was not what I was expecting so I asked why and the clerk again gave me the same stupid reason about not being able to use conventional oil in a Toyota because of the manufacturers suggested product use. I told him that Ive been using conventional oil every time for the past 8 years and that my car runs just fine, but he just stuck by and made excuses saying thats not good for my car and they would be liable if anything happened. If they are not going to give us the option to use conventional then they should tell you that when you schedule the appointment and not wait until the end when its time to pay. They are scam artists only looking to make customers pay for the higher priced product.

Called for pricing on brake pads with the possibility of rotors. Brad made it clear they dont give prices over the phone, regardless of knowing type of vehicle and brakes, he specifically said it would be a shot in the dark.Thank you Brad, but do you know how time consuming it would be to drive around to different shops to have each one look at the vehicle to give the price of service?Its no wonder theyre rated a 1 star. Its like pulling teeth to get information. Ive scratched them off my list of possible repair facilities.

This is by far the worst automotive center I have ever had the displeasure if dealing with in my entire life!!!!!!! Ive had to bring my vehicle back here 4 times for them to balance a single rest tire, and each and every time it has been done incorrectly! They have had my car for 3 days all together as I work in the mall and would allow them to take as much time as they needed to complete one of the worlds most simple automotive tasks. Yet, they couldnt even do that. What makes it worse? Their team is by far the most rude, vile, uneducated, unprofessional, mechanically inept group of individuals an organization could have ever possibly employed to represent their business. Worse still, I made it Crystal clear to the manager on duty that came to assist me after I requested him (because his employee was being absolutely grotesque towards me) when I reqesuted that their mechanics complete the job that I have paid them for correctly that once finnished rebalancing my tire for the 4th consecutive time, that they were to leave my key in my vehicle under the matt with the door unlocked in their parking lot (they have done so many times before with no issue). Instead however, not only did he not call and let me know the work was completed, but he also parked my car, locked the doors, and did not leave my keys in the vehicle as requested when he AGREED to do so!!! So not only did I have to contact a locksmith and pay for them to let me into my vehicle just for my key not to be where it should be, but I now have no way of getting home and am just sitting in the parking lot as I type this with no other options, and I live 30 miles away from this facility!!! The manager even verified verified my phone number before I walked away so that he could contact me!!!! This point of Sears business is absolutely NOT IN ANY WAY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. I COULD LOSE MY JOB OVER THIS AND I HAVE MEDICAL ISSUES THAT I CANNOT IGNORE AND I DONT HAVE THE ITEMS I NEED BECSUSE I CANNOT GET HOME!!!!!!

I ran my own OBD2 diagnostics and told them what was wrong. All i wanted was a price on coils and spark plugs. They wouldnt do it without running their own diagnostics. Then they come back and tell me exactly what i told them but charge me 90 bucks for dianostics. Ripoff artists! I wont EVER go back to sears. Heard theyre going or of business anyway. Good!

I can not believe how these folks of a big corp run a company. Ok they gave me a fair price for a brake job. Now heres the problem. They are so understaffed, it is not even funny. How can a large company be so rude to customers in a store? They have either one or 2 folks at the desk and get this; These same folks will take phone calls. That is unbelievable. Over maybe a 3 percent chance the folks calling will even come . What ever happened to treating a customer with respect. Absolutely disgusting. You would think a large company like Sears that probably makes thousands of dollars a day, would hire folks just to handle the phones. For 10 bucks an hour no less. Give me a break . This is atrocious and good price or not, I wont go back.

I have been coming to this sears for 5 years. Saturday 24th I waited 4 hours for a oil change and alignment . As I was driving home the steering wheel would pull to the right and the car was out of balance. Im told its the breaks. Corrected them of course and then they blamed my tire. Now when I bought my tires they only had three. Three days later I get the fourth. The manager is claiming I lied and I did not get service from them. However ther is a history going back 5 years. My experience was very unpleasant and customer service was horrible. Abel was the only representative there that was friendly and nice. I purchased an alignment with a 6 month warranty that they advertise in store and online. Two months later my alignment was off causing one of my tires to tread lower than the rest. So I purchased a new tire from them and informed them to also realign my tires as Im still under warranty. They said no problem. When its checkout time I notice that they charged me again for an alignment when Im under warranty. It wasnt until i checked out that they to me they couldnt honor my warranty because I was 100 miles over my mileage limit. I informed them that nowhere on the signs in store or online mentions a mileage limit. The Rep that sold it to me stated it was a 6 month warranty and no mention of milage. Then the checkout Rep shows me on the back of my receipt in fine print that theres a mileage limit although its not advertised nor does the Rep inform you at purchase that there is writing on the back your recipet. I never write in the comments but I thought this was horrible sales practice and false advertising at the least. Ive never been more frustrated and angry after leaving a business until coming here. I hope they change their business techniques and improve on their customer service before upsetting more customers.

Very very bad experience, not only did i have to get my alignment done 3 time, but they messed up my steering column. My steering wheel was left lose and as a result i nearly got into an accident. Yet when i go to get it fixed they say that it was just that the steering wheel was lose like it was nothing big. Then today when they fix that issue they say that i just need to learn how to drive. Im sorry but i have owned my silverado for a while now and i dont need the disrespect from some unpleasant worker. There is a guy by the name Abel and i hope you can avoid him by all cost as he told me i should learn how to drive. Then when i try to get in contact with the manager, whose name is Tony, he is not present there and there is no phone number there to call him. There is also an asian working with long hair and a earring that was very rude to me about my vehicle. Therefore i recommend you find abetter place to go to rather than this Auto Center because not only will you receive the worst service of your life but you will also be harassed by the staff.

Service was horrible. They took an extraordinarily long time and charged significantly more than the other places in the area. All of the employees working with customers were foreign and did not speak English very well. I had taken my car in on my way home from vacationing in Sarasota and they told me my front rigth wheel bearing needed to be replaced but tried charging me $300 more than other local places. They also failed to tell me that the front left wheel bearing was also needing to be replaced and its a bit ridiculous that another auto repair is telling me that they could not believe that this auto repair did not see or notify me of that. I would steer clear of this place. Took forever, customer service was beyond awful, and I would never recommend.

Sears at brandon needs negative reviews. happened to get oil change on my pathfinder. everything went fine. Today i drive the car and it broke down. towed it to another shop to know that the engine is not responding and a major motor work is needed. when i called sears, they are happy to look but not admit their mistake. you never knew what service they do but they charge heavily. fullysynthetic on my SUV costed $65 with a $18 discount whereas walmart doest it for less than $50. atleast they dont cheat as they wont have their business. sears does these repairs hence trying to cover their mistakes with a friendly customer services. shame on you.

This place is a joke. I had a 5:00 appointment got there at 4:30 to check in. They finally took my truck back at 6:00. After the one tech complained that 35s were to big for him to mount. I watched the manager come over and press the tire up and down over his head like he was some superstar. They had another tech start working on my truck and to remove the left rear tire he got his sledge hammer and starting beating on my aluminum wheel with it. After getting the wheel off the truck they stood there looking for several minutes, they came in and said they would not install the tires because they were to big for the wheels. The funny thing about it is Firestone installed the tires with no issues and charged me less to mount and balance them. Customer beware.

Signed up for the $19.99 oil change and they immediately tried to upsell me the a $50+ oil change by insisting that my 2014 Mustang required full synthetic oil. Not true for the V6 engine; either they dont know what they are talking about or they are deliberately trying to overcharge, in either case, Im not impressed.

I went for tire repair today after leaving the mechanics shop as I am getting all service for a quick vacation before school starts.. Had all fluids changed/topped off by the mechanic(my son who is ase cert.as master mech). after waiting over an hour for them to get to my car (it wasent even busy as there were six techs and only three cars in the store and waiting) they finally brought my van in for repair of tire. Im sure the techs saw the wheel chair inside that I use since my spinal injury and thoght SUCKER! The lead tech kept pulling the tech off my car to help him on a oil change on a jeep liberty. after another hour and a conversation with the asst mgr Mark Pope they finally patched my tire. then tried to tell me I needed trans fluid and coolant... when i left I went back to the shop that just serviced my van for fluids they said it needed... And guess what All fluids werre the correct amount... They were wanting 3.99 plus tax for coolant and more for trans fluid!!!! Gee ya think they saw a sucker on my forehead???

Dont go to Sears, especially if you have breasts - your money is apparently worth less to them, so they need to charge you more.$300 for an oil/ fluids change. Are you serious???
