Excellent store. You have a question you can call them. Their associate are a wealth of knowledge and you wont wait forever to talk to someone unlike big box home improvement stores. Personalized service and always helpful and friendly. They have a large inventory but if theyre out of stock they will gladly suggest a competitor. Great store, great service and great people.

FAR and away more reasonable than Ring’s End and others as far as paint and product goes. Barnum is worth going ever slightly out further out of your way for your hardware/household needs. Incredibly accommodating and helpful staff. Daniel assisted me and was great, knowledgeable and professional and the owner, Roy, welcoming and a pleasure. If youre looking for a REAL hardware store where the employees go over the top to help you, then youve found it! I brought in our screen door from our sliding glass door. The place was packed. I waited perhaps 5 minutes but learned a lot while there. The customer service is amazing and if one employee isnt sure another one is right there to help. I first took my screen door to Home Disaster and the guy wouldnt even get up out of his chair to help. I then found out about Barnum Hardware. What a delightful difference! When you walk into the store, the floor has the old time wooden floor creeking a sure sign that youve found the absolute best place! No more big box for us! Theyll never be able to compete with Barnum Hardware!

In the process of moving to a new home, I lost the keys to the rear entry door and I was hoping to get it rekeyed. I visited the local big hardware franchise and was redirected to a neighborhood locksmith. The locksmith was unable (more unwilling) to help with the situation and by chance it was recommended that I go to Barnum Hardware, where the plan was to buy a new lock. To my surprise, not only did Barnum Hardware have the ability to rekey my lock, I was able to get extra keys and deal with a local business that still believes in the old ways of putting customer service at the forefront. What an excellent experience. These guys are totally awesome!!

I went to Barnum Hardware to order some kitchen cabinets. What i received was not only quality cabinets but they were at very competitive price, compared to Home Depot and Express Kitchen. No parking, you think the owner would move to better location to serve his customers. Why not buy out Celco on the south side of bishop ave behind the store for parking instead of his employees and customers taking up two or three spots of off street parking that could be used for the residence that live there.
