DO NOT BUY FROM NABLUS SWEETS! If I could give 0 stars I would. We tried ordering baklawa from their website for the Eid and we’ve had a HORRIBLE experience!! We were scammed from our $500 purchase we made. They sent boxes from a different company advertising as their own, but it was only the baklawa sleeve inserts that were placed in the box and not the boxes themselves. The boxes were advertised with different pictures than what we received and the sweets say “Secret of Damscene Sweets” on one of the plastic wrappers. The boxes had grease on them and were packaged horribly. They were shipped through FedEx and were taped to the packaging in a way that the clear plastic on the baklawa was ripped when we opened the packages. How could I distribute this embarrassment as an Eid gift to my friends and family? We called their store to complain and they completely ignored our concerns and only offered to give us $175 back although we were shipping the packages back to them, then they hung up in our face. I will NEVER order or visit this store again and I am letting everyone I know as well how my experience was. Attached are photos of what we received which is NOT what is advertised on their site as the “Small Tray Assorted Mix”. They sent us sweets from this “Secrets of Damascene” brand and took it out of the box so we wouldn’t know.
We bought a $25 tray and tried an assortment of their sweets, made day of. It’s pretty good!
Best Mediterranean sweet ever I will be back from Miami to try it again
Got the sweets from Nablus on the day of my henna and everyone loved them thanks once again
Nice place great sweet goooood kunafah
The guy working said hes from Nablus, I dont believe him. No Palestinian from Nablus would serve a cold kanafe, that is an embarrassment to the city of Nablus and Palestinians everywhere, he didnt even have any coffee, terrible experience
I came here with my partner who is Egyptian and pointed out all his faves! The store was beautifully decorated and the staff was incredibly friendly. When we got back to our hotel and I tried some of these delicacies there were flavor explosions in my mouth! Every treat was more delicious than the next! When we come back to Chicago, we are DEFINITELY coming back!
The knafe is really authentic reminds me of Nablus best in Chicago
I love the knafeh it’s always fresh and reminds me of back home
I have been a long term customer with Nablus. I have never experienced this issue with the previous owner: I recently came and bought the $45 tray of kanafe. We asked for a fresh set of kanafe and they told us to wait 10 minutes. We waited longer than that and yet the kanafe we got was cold... We called them to complain and they told us we got the wrong number. What kind of business are you guys running? Whoever the owner is really needs to look at what’s going on in the store. Terrible place after the owner changed. Take your money elsewhere.
I love the sweets here especially the pistachio baklawa
Best place for traditional, Middle Eastern desserts. Wonderful customer service.
I give it 5 because every thing is clean very good and good service there a good person called Roberto or humberto he is a good employee if you can atleast give him bones or raise up his money
I tried knafa for the first time I think it was really awesome I tried few other sweets all of them were good as well. Sweetness is just right and great prices!! Will surely visit again highly recommended
This place is Amazing!! the best selection of sweets. Knafeh tastes like its straight from Nablus
I love the balloria with pistachios and the knafeh rolls Are the best everything is always fresh at Nablus that’s why I keep coming coming highly recommend them
One of the best places I’ve been to so far in the states the sweets are always fresh I highly recommend them!
Don’t recommend for sweets, New management isn’t doing a good job . This is not the good Nablus Sweets we used to know with the previous owner.
Worst kenafa I ever have he microwaved the kenafa
Way below average. Very disappointing experience. Will not recommend to anyone. It’s a disgrace to NABLUS.
Very big portions for your moneys worth and excellent customer service
Excellent and very tasty kenafeh. The pistachio baklava is very fresh and tasty
The sweets are always fresh and the knafeh is amazing best middle eastern sweets in Chicago
I loved the old place better. I gave the new owner a chance and he blew it. I’ve been buying from Nablus for a lil over four years all large orders and now with the new owner, everything changed from the staff to the sweets. This review isn’t coming from one bad experience, you guys had time to get your act together it shouldn’t take over a year to get it right, especially when you had the old staff there. I won’t be surprised if they start selling tacos. Luckily for me Bridgeview is full of bakery’s it wasn’t hard to get what I needed.
One of the best kanfeh i ever had when we come to chicago nablus sweets is a must
It’s so sad to find a place can’t talk with people nice and I heard a lot of their sweet and it’s so bad not fresh sticky sweetThe stuff so weird
Best Kanafa in Bridgeview, we travel from Southern Indiana just for this Kanafa, theirs is by far the most authentic tasting to Palestinian kanafe
They have a fantastic and delicious variety of sweets that will make your mouth water Non-Stop.Everything is handmade and fresh daily😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Being at this place has been one of the worst if not the ultimate worst experience. We were not allowed to choose how and what our plate is organized and made of. We cannot have baklava with pistachios only unless we choose baklava with some gely fruit. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone, that’s for sure. Also and on a side note, they have a sign on the front door asking their customers to boycott the French products because of France’s clear decision to defend the freedom of speech and expression regardless of whom those caricatures make fun of. You had the guts to ask people to boycott another country’s products, but don’t have enough courage to denounce the beheading of a French teacher by a radical islamist? What about the Islamic terrorist attacks in Austria? I do not see you asked your customers to boycott the products of Chechnya for example. Next time and before you ask people to boycott another country’s products, ask your people, your clerics and the books you believe in why is it OK for you to have the right to insult the faith of others like Christians and Jews and call them infidels, the descendants of monkeys and pigs, etc. Hypocrites!
Love the kunafeh
Great service and the sweets are top notch 👌
Best knafeh in chicago hands down
Terrible service. They are annoyed when a customer walks in. I walked in and no one was there. I waited a minute and said a loud inquisitive hello. Someone comes out and acts as if they have no time for customers. Why would I come here again when I can just go to the friendly and superior Alwatan Bakery nearby.
I had the kanafeh and the burma needless to say some of the best sweets i had in a very long time reminds me of back home
Very tasty kenafa with a variety of different Arabian sweets great service too and decent prices
I love the old place i have been visiting for over 6 years. Last week we stopped by and the fenfah was old and the cheese smiled rotten. It was my to go place for fenafeh.
Some of the best Middle Eastern desserts in the country! They make nearly everything fresh throughout the day like my favorite dessert, Kunafa! Its one of the best things in the place. You can order desserts to go in trays of your choice size. They also have party sized trays that are quite large and made to order fresh desserts.
One of the best sweets shop I ever found. I would recommend trying a bit of everything and then buying what you like the most. Unfortunately, cant recommend one single item because that will be unfair for the rest of the items. Staff are very friendly. Sweets are always fresh. I cant pass by the area without stopping by.
The sweets are always fresh and good customer service
Best Knafeh I have ever tasted, better than any place I’ve been to in Dubai
Wish if I can give them Zero stars. We got a small tray as a gift that was shipped to us. very poorly packaged, taste is miserable, too sugary, does not smell good or fresh, worst part is the cheating on what they call pistachio,,, it is peanut or walnut with green food coloring in the baloria and the decoration... I feel bad for my friend who paid so much for trash.
This place is amazing. They catered my wedding and everyone loved it! The chnafa is the best. I ordered online a few times and it came out perfect.
Bad and dirty services, I hope to work on improving the level of hygiene and quality
Excellent middle Easter desserts of all sorts. Fresh daily and served hot. Highly recommend and would go out of my way for their product.
This place clearly knows how to treat their clients. Consistently with a friendly attitude. The food is conveniently priced, constantly tasty and neat.
Awesome
This place has the best middle eastern sweets in all of the Midwest! The service was great. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know!
Best sweets. And clean.
They say on google we close at 11, drove 30 min, made it there 10:31, they were closed!
Wow...What happen to this place? Not trying to hate but want to warn potential customers maybe you want to get taste test before buying in bulk. I just purchased $65 worth of desserts yesterday and looked forward to enjoying after fasting but was extremely disappointed. The knafa was not knafa and tasted uncooked, the mamool was ehhhh and the other sweets just taste sugary. I hope they figure something out soon because I purchased from here like a year ago and it was much much better. Hope you guys improve soon for your customers sake...I’m rooting for you.
I placed an order online which was super easy to do and got an email confirmation shortly thereafter. The knafeh arrived 5 days later as it was not shipped till 3 days after the order was placed. The knafeh was absolutely amazing and delicious. I would definitely order again, but maybe I would call to follow up with the store so we are all on the same page as far as how much time its gonna take them to ship it. With all that said, still amazing knafeh and their customer service isnt bad. Thank you 😀
Their sweets are good, but their wedding cakes are not. I ordered my wedding cake from them a few months ago and the design I requested was completely off. It wasnt horrible, but very close to it.
The sweets are always fresh
Pros: The place is clean.Cons: Not as many items available as shown in the pictures. I asked the person to give some as a gift it was poorly wrapped and looked like a half eaten tray see the picture and they are not cheap. 39$.
I got from them for my wedding and the sweets were fresh and on time and the prices were just right
If you are looking for authentic Palestinian sweets this is the place to go . Been a long customer for years and they never disappoint.
They make all their sweets from scratch daily And everything is always fresh
Just reminds me of “ blad “ kunafah, the best in the area, very nice staff, whoever wrote they cheap, honestly i donno how they see them this way, try it without doubt
The baklava was great
Best variety of sweets in the chicago land area it has been my go to place for many many years
What happened to this place New owners will run this place out of business
One of Chicagos best authentic dessert places, period. The knafeh and awame are the best youll find in town, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
I have tried knafeh all over the US and nothing was better than the knafeh i ate here hands down they have some of the best knafeh i EVER ate in my life 5 STARS
We’ve heard good reviews about this place. But actually it was not good enough to even serve us hot kunafe, it was cold and average quality, the place was empty at the time of our visit so there is no excuse not to have a better quality service!
We Tried the Knafa and the crust was okay but we are still looking for the cheese layer. This place Knafa has a very thin layer of cheese which makes it so hard to taste it. I won’t repeat.
Nice placeAuthentic middle eastern foodNice helpful peopleWe came at around 6 pmKunafah was cold and chewy ...Would have loved a hot fresh one
Amazing knafeh and even better sweets
Delicious Kanefa. Everything is fresh made and worth every penny. looking forward to visiting again
We live in Tulsa. OK and it is almost impossible to find the products that Nabuls Sweets offers especially the delectable Knafeh.Abu Rami is the best and most competent. He knows all about great customer seevice. He treated me with such respect and kindness. He answered all of my questions and made sure my order was accurate. The prices are so fair. I cant believe that he charges so little for such great produc that requires time and effort. It is unreal. He texted me to inform me that my order was shipped and to expect it. He instantly texted my receipt. He called me back any time I left a message and messaged me back instantly every time I had a question. His restraunt is definitely our top pick for any celebration orders or any time we have the craving for his awesome products. Knafeh Nabulsi is soooooo addictively delicious. We cant wait to stop by the Chicago location in person to experience the wonderful products. Thanks Abu Rami.
