We spent several thousand dollars on stain grade pine doors, jambs and trim from the door store for our new home. The doors arrived and were zebra striped and U.G.L.Y! Definitely not stain grade. The panels on the doors were evidently pieces glued together and much of the glue remained on the door and wouldn’t stain. The rest of the door was splotchy and looked horrible. Staining was attempted by a professional painter. The door store rep offered partial credit on the doors but not the jambs. But only if we purchased more expensive doors. Rather than give the door store any more of our money, we chose to just paint them, which was never our plan. Then, some of the trim had some kind of coating on it and would not take stain at all. We took it back and did receive a refund for it. On one of our 8” cased openings, they glued an extra piece onto a 6” jamb and the result was horrendous. In this case, we decided to just buy the 8” somewhere else, adding to the cost of the project. I would not recommend this place at all. I think we were cheated and given subpar material. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Grate place, good people, and they can hook you up with good installers. All you need in a door store

I have had 3 jobs done by the door store and Cost Cutters remodeling owned by Marty. My front doors are beautiful and they also did my carport and siding on my house . I also had them turn my screened in porch into a sunroom and all the doors and windows are from the door store and they are beautiful too . I would recommend them to everyone . They do great, quality work at a great price too !

Im very disappointed to have to write this review but others should be aware. I purchased doors and had them installed using one of DS installers. One door was wrong and had to be reordered. Now a couple of months later hardware fell off a sliding closet door causing the door to come off the track. I wasnt able to get it back on so I went to the DS and got lucky because the installer was there. I asked him to come fix it and said I would pay. He declined and said he would come over and fix it. He never did and I believe he had no intention of fixing it at the time he promised. I spent a lot of money on installation and dont think its unreasonable to expect the job done right. I wont buy from them when I need basement doors soon.
