Good donuts but a bit tired. Not as fresh as they used to be but these are busy times.

Went through the drive-thru Wed. and was served by DesMonia(I hope this is the correct way to spell it) who by the way was the nicest lady that I have met in a drive-thru window. Made what was a rough morning better. Thanks Love!!!

You are able to watch them make the food. I do enjoy that! Long line but they have plenty of staff the line was moving well. Good donuts, drinks, restrooms clean, and lots of parking all the way around the building.

I tried a Shipley glazed donut cold and it was delicious! We went today for the first time and I got a fresh glazed donut and loved it. It has more substance to it than a Krispy Kreme and more of a shell with the glazed. Warm, delicious, and chewy 🍩My husband got a spicy sausage kolache and he was sad it was a hot dog and not a sausage. He also got filled maple bar (creme filling) which was pretty good.

Just moved area and had to try the local Shipley do nuts. Ordered kolaches which is always my order. They used way to much dough which resulted in me throwing away half each kolache. Never going there again.

Decent donuts. The kolaches are a little bland and the sausages they use in the kolaches are small. You end up mostly eating the bread.

Recently had to change rating as it seems the employees dont know the difference between ham and cheese and sausage kolache. Thanks for wasting my money and getting this wrong 6x in one order

Its because they deserved a 2 star rating. Nothing more nothing less. Im sorry if you dont like the rating but maybe you should spend your time trying to figure out why your locations got this review and how to improve rather than accusing a patron of being biased.

We discovered Shipley Do nuts about 60 years ago and they are still wonderful. Some of our favorite ones are the cream filled and chocolate filled but dont let me forget the apple or Apple fritters. Friendly staff as well.

I mean really what can you say?! It is the king of donuts as far as Im concerned in this area! I am still hoping the family well one day, like maybe before Christmas, haha LOL hint hint, bring back the calzones for at least 1 week. I know its a lot of extra work, but if you ever had them years ago, definitely top shelf! Thank you for the consistency and the coffee, donut holes, and yes this old Jarhead likes plain glazed donuts! And a blueberry one once in awhile! Great job to all of you!

Ordered 2 chocolate sprinkle donuts and recieved 2 chocolate iced donuts.. with about 6 sprinkles. I also received some sassy service as I ordered. 10/10 will not return and would not recommend to anyone else.

The worst Shipleys I have ever had. Definitely need training on how to make donuts, kolaches and cake donuts.... response from the owner was the reason the rating dropped.Yes maam indeed we all have opinions but when the store is called and now your response, it shows customer retention, quality, and above all else, customer service is not a priority. I managed it bakery for 8 years that included not only donut frying but artisan bread, pastries, cookies and cakes made from scratch so its not just another opinion, it was a professional opinion. Hands down the best donuts in town! The people are super friendly and the service is excellent! I recommend sitting inside and enjoying a kolache or donut with your coffee. The aroma inside is mind blowing. Love this place!!!

Awful customer service on a Wednesday morning.UPDATE: this is what I mean by subpar, in their kolaches is a teeny tiny sausage only slight bigger than my skinny fingers in a very large piece of bread. And the sausage is so far left of the bread it’s basically sticking out, no where near the middle. I ended up picking it apart.

Glazed donuts still clouds of sugary delight. If they are paying attention:. YOUR COFFEE IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE. Seriously, I cant even drink it any more. And Ive been coming here for 28 years.

While the service is good and the do-nuts are usually on point, my latest visit I found my kolaches near burnt and when I bit into it, the sausage (if you can even call it that) wasnt even half the length of the bread. Before taking another bite, I opened up the kolache with a knife, and I found that the sausage took up about 1/4 of the space! Now, I dont expect it to fill the entire space, but I do expect to have a bite of sausage with each bite I take of the kolache. Thats a reasonable expectation. I waited until my family tried these as well and each of the four had the same experience. I wanted to make sure before leaving a review that it wasnt a fluke.The sausages do only take up 1/4 of the space inside the kolache! I hope the owner has a chance to read this. Its my only complaint and I do enjoy Villa Maria Shipleys Do-Nuts; Id hate to get my kolaches elsewhere from now on but at this point I dont really have a choice based on what you get for what you pay.

I first had Shipleys in Copperas Cove and it was good. Unfortunately, everywhere else I have had it, Bryan included, the quality of their food is simply not on par with basically every other donut shop around. Their donuts are not light or fluffy, and have a dense texture. Perhaps they are using too much oil. As for their kolaches, they are the biggest disappointment. I had a Big Earl this morning. It was mostly air, meaning the wiener did not even begin to fill it, and bread. The bread was not good, fluffy, flaky, quality baked bread; just cheap tasting, average bread. The sausage tasted like a spicy hot dog wiener with a horrible texture to go along with it. Overall, very disappointed with how the quality of food at Shipleys locations has seemed to go down over the years. If youre in Bryan, youre better off going to Super Donuts or Babes.

Food is always made fresh reasonably priced service is outstanding cant wait to go back!

Hands down the best donuts in the country, Im in Massachusetts for work and theres a Dunkin Donut on every corner and while I admit Ive had a couple while Im here there simply is no comparison.

Im giving 5 stars but the customer service I received was not so good. Their food is great and the store was very clean,but I had a bad encounter with a woman who worked there. She was rude and not very friendly.

Shipley CANT be beat....but the manager at Bunker Hill has a lot to learn.But the donuts are great as all locations.

The service is amazing, but their switched the quality of their donuts. Last two times I went the donuts were bad. Once they were burnt the second time they had a weird taste.The manager said the switched the shortening of their donuts but it really changed the donut.

Parking lot is a mess in the mornings. Line is so long and at one point there is an uncomfortable hill. Ordering only happens at the window. The parking lot isnt really spaced to accommodate a line so if you park near the end of the drive thru line, expect to wait to get out. Employees inside at the counter move very slow. Some people have places to go, people to see. I didnt realize I need to add a whole extra minute for the woman to move as slow as possible putting the items in the bag. Sausage and cheese kolaches, the cheese was hanging outside on the side of the kolaches along with exposed sausage. So half of the kolache is bread. This has happened to 3/4 of my kolaches. Ive been to other shipleys and they typically do a good job getting it in the middle, but this one? Nope. It isnt quick and the food is worse than other shipleys.

I had never been in a Shipleys before. I am from the North and used to being treated with at least a little respect when you try to order. I told the woman at the counter that I was sorry I had never been there before as I was trying to see what types of donuts they had before placing my order. She walked away as if waiting for me to decide was too much for her to bear. When she comes back I finally order 4 donuts. She puts my donuts in the box and stares at me expectantly. I was just waiting to pay at this point. She then said, you arent getting a half dozen?I was charged for a half dozen even though I didnt order a half dozen. You really need to work on your customer service instead of rushing people in and out like cattle. I will find another shop in future.

Decent donuts but terrible kolaches. I was munching into a kolache and there was no meat in the first third! After I got half way into it, theres a small thin sausage. Not worth the price paid for. There should be a 1:1 meat to bread ratio or at least more than a .3: 1 meat to bread ratio. Disappointing.

Do-Nuts are alway amazing but they should put more flavor in the dough mix for the kolaches and the service is always very nice and sweet like the donuts😉

The sausage and cheese kolache had way too much bread, my donut holes were stale and my fountain Dr. Pepper didn’t have enough syrup and tasted more like carbonated water than dr. Pepper.

Up until the last year or so nothing could better than Shipleys for me then they changed something with the bread/dough which has made it less appealing now they just ok at best at worst they are horrible as one location near Houston was I wasnt even able to eat it

Very generic and bland. Jalapeño kolaches used pepper jack cheese instead of actual jalapeño. Donuts were too sweet with little taste. Place was run down.
