They have always provided excellent service and guidance. They’ll help find the right frames and fit. Would highly recommend them.

My experience with this place has been mostly negative. My glasses took more than 2 months to arrive and I had to keep calling to see if they received it. Then, my frames broke due to my fault but they discontinued carrying the frames. The frames are also built flimsy and low quality. It seems like they have a small inventory of glasses. The only positive is that the staff is very helpful and friendly and did their best.

Had a great experience at Rosin in BG. Dr Nierman was fantastic, he took a lot of time getting my new prescription right. Found out I had glaucoma and he put me on meds immediately. Obv need to check back with my ophthalmologist too. The young lady who helped me pick out frames after my exam was also knowledgeable and helpful. Found some nice designer frames reasonably priced. A really positive experience. I will be going back when I need new frames next year. Highly recommend.

What a gem! I love shopping local and this store qualifies. First off they actually great you when you walk through the door which is rare these days. Secondly, even though they didn’t have the aviator frames I wanted they ordered them for me and took time to ensure they were right.I would definitely recommend this store for service and a good curated selection of frames

Friendly. Helpful. Honest. Take all the time the customer needs. Told me that I didn’t need transitions because solar shades were more effective. Saved me about $100.

My fiancé had an issue with his eye, we thought that something had gotten into it and we couldn’t get it out. The receptionist was great. She was attentive and let me explain what I thought was wrong. She scheduled him same day and gave me an idea as to what the procedure was. He was in and out of there. Luckily he only had a scratch on his eye and was prescribed with some medicine. The doctor was nice and thorough. I would use them again in a heart beat. Not all super hero’s wear capes.

Dr Neirman & his staff offered satisfactory service to me. They are professional, answered all my questions. They are very easy to work with.

Had great help in choosing all 3 pairs of my glasses. I like my Raybans so much that I sometimes refuse to take them off even at night. Im very indecisive when it comes to picking it glasses but Amy was patient and accommodating. I like their return policy also.

This was my first appointment in USA and cannot expect better than this. The staff and Specialist are very friendly and explained everything before eye test. Would recommend this for sure

Ines, Ashlynn, Amy and Dr. Nierman were a big help. They went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied before I walked out those doors. They listen to your every needs, they were super nice and made sure I was put first. First time I actually loved my glasses and how they fit. I also took my time in choosing them and they had a lot of patience. Definitely going to be back! Made it an experience I wont forget!

I have been going to Dr Nierman for at least 20 years .He is always very thorough, gentle, and has a great sense of humor. He truly cares about his patients.The staff in Buffalo Grove are excellent as well. They take a lot of time helping patients find the right frame shape and color. They make sure the lens spacing is appropriate for the patients prescription .No hard sales for upgrades either.This practice is great. I recommend them very highly.

My insurance changed from VSP to Spectera and I was worried that I wouldnt be able to find a good eye doctor that took spectera. I couldnt have been further from the truth. The eye doctor at Rosen in Buffalo Grove is wonderful and the staff there is so helpful and friendly. I would have switched years ago had I known about them. Staff is great. The doctor made an error to my prescription so it made for a couple additional visits to the office. Other than that everything else was smooth.

Staff is always friendly and SUPER HELPFUL!!! Fixed my glasses for free while I was getting my eye exam. Will always help me out when Im in a bind. Excellent experience every time.

Great service by Dr Nierman

This location does not stand by its eye exam correctness.I have been going to this location for much of my adult life. My last Rosin exam was July 2017 and I filled a pair of very expensive external frames with lenses at Costco using the Rosin prescription given to me in November 2017. (It was a cost/convenience thing since my eye insurance is minimal.)In February 2018, another optical center gave me an exam which showed one of my eye Rxs from Nierman/Rosin to be significantly over-correcting (3 pt something instead of 1 pt something), in such a way that they indicated it was hurting my eyes by excessive strain. They recommended immediate disuse of the glasses.I contacted Rosin in early April 2018 and explained my concern, asking that if their Rx was wrong, would they either (1) compensate me $100 for the incorrect lenses I bought, or (2) fill them with the correct lense Rx themselves. They were wishy-washy and told me to come in to talk. I got a second eye exam with Rosin in late April 2018 to confirm the incorrect prescription (FYI, it DID turn out to be incorrect.) Regarding my request for #1 or 2 above as a minor recompense for a 5-years-incorrect prescription: they refused multiple requests saying they werent the ones to fill the lenses.I understand this response to be that Rosin only guarantees the work of their physical products (lenses, frames), not the correctness of the exams and decisions made based on that trusted doctor/patient relationship.Because it seems excessive to bring this to the IL Board of Optometry, Im writing this review here to Buyer/Patient Beware.I do not recommend this facility. Larry Nierman is a friendly enough optometrist and I believe he would accommodate this request if he was the actual owner. (Ownership transitioned to Rosin in January.)
