I entered the shop following an engine light that flipped on.The first four days were horrible. But ultimately, they came through and I received great and transparent service. In that first four days, I was given little to no insight into my vehicle, or when I could get a rental car. Even after they mentioned haphazardly that my engine needed replacement (!!!!). I didnt trust them at all, and wanted to move my car to a different shop.I had to call them and reach the right person to eventually be given a full run down as to what was going on. From there, the service was great. I believe they handed off my case to somebody else. I received frequent updates (calls, texts). Even though they didnt have rental cars there, they found me one from a nearby service center which was critical for me.My engine is fully replaced, and I feel comfortable with the service that was done. Only improvement I could offer is that everyone wears masks.
I showed up for a scheduled 4:30 appointment to get two recalls done on my car. Figured I’d get an oil change too while I was there. Showed up and was told my wait would be two hours. Which was fine. I expect to wait. I confirmed with the service person that my car would be getting the oil change and two recalls done.At 6:00 they called me to let me know my car was finished. Great. They got it done faster than expected. Except it turns out that the technicians that can do the recall leave at 5. (My appointment was 4:30) so the recalls didn’t get done because the technician didn’t stay to finish the appointment. So it took an hour and a half to get an oil change done (which I typically do myself in my driveway in a third of the time) at over $50 (double what I typically would pay) and the two recalls that I brought it in for weren’t even completed!Absolutely will take my car anywhere else from now on. I’d rather have Walmart change my oil. Or pay a homeless person on the side of the road. As for the recalls, I’ll just wait and see what happens I guess. Maybe my engine won’t blow up this time. Don’t know why a service center open until 7 wouldn’t hold a qualified tech until 7.
Took my daughters Elantra in for 4 recall repairs. We had made an appointment days ahead. Unfortunately, we had to wait 20 min to speak with anyone, because there were so many unscheduled drive-ins for service. Finally, we were all asked who had an appointment. We waited 5 more minutes, because there was one person with an appointment ahead of us. Once checked in, it all went smoothly. Staff were friendly. I would suggest scheduling any appointments after 8:30am.
I took my car to the Buford Hyundai service department for problems with the electric power steering in my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. After dropping my car off on a Thursday morning at 9 am, I was called by service-person, Ben. He let me know that my car had been diagnosed and the issue would be approximately $1,600 (after tax) to fix. I should mention, the problem I was experiencing was a known problem in Hyundai models and was even recalled in the 2010 model. Because of these alarming facts, the nature of such a dangerous problem, and the outrageous price, we elevated our claim to Hyundai Assistance hoping they would recognize the facts, inequity, and injustice present. Further, during the same phone call in which we were told the price of $1,600, we asked for an itemized quote detailing the charges. Ben agreed to send the quote our way and elevate our claim to Hyundai Assistance. After waiting all day Friday, through the weekend, and into Monday morning, we were starting to get worried when we never heard back from Ben regarding our itemized quote and the Hyundai Assistance response. After we took the initiative to call, Ben was surprisingly reminded that he forgot to send our quote, but had already heard back from Hyundai Assistance - and guess what? Our claim was denied. During this call, Ben promised to text us a picture of the itemized quote he had forgotten to send. Moments later, I received a quote for over $2,000!! We were shocked to say the least... After questioning both Ben and his supervisor about these drastic changes, we were told because you never received a quote in writing, we have no evidence that the price of $1,600 was ever given to you. One of the main reasons I chose to get my car serviced at a Hyundai dealership rather than a regular mechanic was because I was hoping to receive integrity and honesty from such an esteemed company. However, that was obviously not the case. Instead, we were treated with disrespect, lack of care/attention, and were lied to about price. I expect more from Hyundai and the brand they claim they are. After this very shady, and nearly criminal, experience, we decided to take our car to a local mechanic to get serviced (after having to pay Hyundai the $70 diagnostic fee). Here, we received nothing but honesty, fast service, and affordable pricing of $800 total for the exact same fix. I will never be returning to Hyundai (specifically Hyundai Buford) for a service or to purchase a vehicle. Further, I plan to file complaints with the Highway Safety Administration for neglect of this extremely dangerous issue. I hope this review helps other every-day folks avoid being taken advantage of by such a large corporation.
Good food good people
Most customer oriented hyundai dealer around.
Online scheduling to dropoff to pickup was quick and efficient. Only ding was it was pouring rain and no help to the car. Not raining before I went in to answer that question.
I worked with Eddie Jean and he has been great. Even after I have purchased my vehicle, he made sure I was still satisfied and has been helping me with other things, like getting my unconnected services established and checking on my new plates.
Ive had many good experiences with this dealership
Would recommend knowing exactly what you want before going. If you do not theres a good you will be a victim of an upsale for services you dont actually need. Recently I went for a standard 30k service. I asked for the factory recommended service, listed in the owners manual if you need to find it. The tech then pointed to a package and said, thats what this package is. No, it wasnt. The package was what the dealer recommended. After declining the unnecessary services I got the work done only to find they charged me for little things I didnt ask for ( like windshield washer fluid) and they didnt do things I specifically asked for (making sure the tire pressure was correct.) You at least need to get the little things right if you expect me to listen to all your up-selling. The service is disappointing.
Left Gainesville Kia to get better service here. Will not be returning to Kia. May even trade van for Kona . Thanks for great service.
Terrible service department! No return calls, even when you reach out to the Manager over service. Not even a call to let you know your car can be picked up. After FOUR visits, they still have NOT done what they claim they will do. Completely dissatisfied and will drive twice the distance to find another Hyundai dealership. If the next dealership is also incompetent and dishonest I will never buy a Hyundai again.
I had our car in for service and they could not duplicate the problems, I have an extended warranty but they still charged me for the rental car after keeping my car for 20 days. The issues I was having and still have required driving the car which they never did. I have sent emails and tried to talk to someone about my issue but I still have not received any response from them for a week.
Well I was diappointed during my visit no mask were being worn by everyone. The virus has not gone away!!!
Appointments are pointless had an appointment at 1pm dropped car of at 1250pm now its 346pm and car still on the lift jack just for a 30 minute oil change and tire rotation
In here weekly and always get the same great service.
Great place to shop
Seems to be understaffed when visited. Didnt get the multipoint checklist. Also no car wash, which every dealership service center usual have.
