I have Specialized and I had modified all SLX to XT with this store - They have the best service ever - I really recommend them ! I was in too many stores in the area and ended up disappointed from most this one is the best one- I especially recommend π΄πΏπ΄πΏπ΄πΏAsk for Howard He knows what hes doingππ
Small shop, been here a number of times, each time I left with good feelings. Usually come for tires, tubes, parts that wear out. Each time without fail someone asks if I need help as I hover over the racks, looking for the size I need. Once the dude walked me upstairs, didnt know who but the owner blends in with the staff (didnt know there was upstairs!) a treasure trove of goodies including pedals, a pair I picked up on impulse, pricey but excellent quality. If I saw an interesting bike on display, theyd answer questions at length without any pressure or reluctance (since I obviously came in for parts and not a new bike purchase). Highly recommend.
Came in just to inquiry about getting a bike, but I fell in love with the one recommended by a staff member (I didnt get his name, but I got the feeling it was the owner) and I ended up buying one. I picked up a Norco Indie bike. The staff member was really helpful and was able to point me toward a bike that would fit my height and size. They didnt have the exact frame built and ready for me to take home at that time(noon on a Saturday) but they called me around 3pm the same day and told me it was ready for pick up. I will definitely be going back for when I need any service done on my bike! Thanks Stotts!
Iβve been going to Stotts for over 2 years. From day one, Rob and his incredible crew have always taken care of our bike needs.Theyβre knowledgeable, fun and just great guys. The community theyβve built is lots fun to be part of.
Went in to fix a flat. Fast service and they fixed my brake and put on tire caps gratis. Good shop with reasonable prices
A excellent bicycle shop great deals and a fantastic team that worked there when I was doing business at this bike shop Rob is a great guy very attentive to his customers and very helpful
Great customer service. Really cool bike shop. First time there, felt like family
Bad customer service. This is the second time that I try to go buy a Felt AR1 at this store and I get ignored. A lady goes in and dude saw me standing there and he decided to help her even though I had been waiting patiently. Theres other bike shops out there that dont judge you by the way you look.
Ordered a pivot trail 429.Rob gave us a good deal. I will be back
Very convienent, great shop. Nice people.
Although Stotts is not my LBS, I rolled the dice and bought my new bike from them not knowing what to expect. Due to Covid delays, the store staff and owner (Rob) were good at allaying my expectations and keeping me posted with updates. They even worked w the bike company to shorten the delay by offering an alternative build, cutting out another 8 weeks of waiting. Stoked on the service and so far, really stoked on the new bike!! Thanks guys!
I have nothing bad to say about this bike store ever since I first came in they been taking care of me their customer service is always been pretty good their products are pretty high-end quality and their staff seem to be very nice. Ive known the store owner Rob for a couple years and he has taken care of me. Ive also been known to do multiple charitable things for people in need including me and as well as help School likes Saint Xavier was getting their cycling team online I highly recommend this store
They completely failed at their job. The manager charged at me in anger and asked if I wanted his job. There is a word for that its the R word. There are only so many ways you can describe spudpid pride. Im glad Im less than a quarter spudpid head. I called days prior and left a voicemail and even talked to one of them on the phone and specifically asked if I needed to make an appointment and told them I lived an hour and a half away. I bought the bike there and wanted the free first service that it came with. Whats the point anymore? People cant compete simple tasks it be honest. All selfish and care only about money and themselves. Why offer customer service or service at all? If you cant complete it. They told me come at open time noon and we will get you in and you can wait for it. When I showed up the main boss cursed at me and charged towards me in anger like he wanted a fight AS I WAS LEAVING OUT HIS SHOP DOOR and told me I could leave it and pick it up probably days later. The opposite of what they said on the phone. I could have just taken it somewhere near where I live. Better yet, Ill do it myself, so its done right. Garbage! Clown world!! π€‘π π π π₯ Reply: why would you call the police on someone for leaving your store as you are the aggressor and raising your voice charging toward me? LoL thats what women do when they argue. They change the story to benefit them but it never works because I have honesty on my side and brains. Dishonesty is your best policy you girly loser.
These guys really helped me out today. Wonderful crew, great shop to stop in for anything you need for your bike. Keep it up!!
Friendly, helpful, no fuss, no hassle, local. Great for tune up or fix.
Its two stars instead of one because I had no complaints on my first visit. On the second visit, the manager was rude and abusive. If you tell me a part will come in today or tomorrow and I call back on the second day and you say it hasnt come in, and then I go back on the third day and you have a lot more bikes in the service area than when I dropped mine off, and you tell me youre slammed and cant get to mine, I might say aw, man, thats not what you guys told me. If you then accuse me, in front of the whole store, of giving you attitude and yelling (I didnt yell), I think that deserves to be mentioned to potential customers.Im sure theyre busy. Im sure they had other disappointed customers (I came in later in the day). Im also sure they generally try to provide good service. The manager probably just chose me to vent his frustrations on because it had been a hard day. Hes young, and to be honest his shop is so busy he probably doesnt mind if his temperament loses him a few customers. Your experience may be just fine. Just posting this for what its worth
After receiving a spiffy pair of cycling shoes for my birthday, I realized there were no clips so that I could use them on my indoor bike (one of activities keeping me somewhat sane this year). After searching for the nearest shop, I headed over with my torn up old pair and the new ones, hoping for they could reuse the clips. Upon voicing my needs, they took them off my hands and asked me to wait a few minutes... 4 minutes later: Boom. Done! I asked what I owed them. βNothing.β What? Wow. Thank you, Rob! Canβt wait until I can buy an outdoor bike and come back to see you :)
I got the wrong part by mistake and when I came back they replaced it with no question and gave me a small piece I needed and advice on how to assemble it. Excellent service. Highly recommended!
Very nice little place. Got a flat on my way home from Hobby Lobby and they took care of it and I was on my way within 30 minutes. Great service, kind and personal. Just the right price, too, and had everything I needed!Edit: my brakes/gears have been messed up for awhile and idk what that guy did, but theyre all better! So much easier to pedal now!
These guys are awesome. Call several places like Burbank Bike Shop, Montrose Bike shop, and Spoke Bicycle Cafe, they couldnt take me. I needed to replace my front and rear tires and the inner tubes. Call Stotts Bicycles, went in and they immediately service my bike. Was done in less than 20 mins. Fast, courteous and professional. I highly recommend this bike shop. Great prices too. Excellent service. π² π ββββββ π
Ver knowledgeable and friendly staff. Even tho I am not yet an avid cyclist, I was still treated very well. Would recommend this place and plan to go back again for my cycling needs
I bought my new mountain bike from Stotts. Rob is the owner. He is very experienced and honest. He was able to answer all my questions and provided additional information to ensure i was buying the right bike for my type of ruding. After a few months my brakes on my new bike were not working well. Rob took care of them as part of the new bike maintenance warrenty Stotts provides. Im extremely happy with the customer service and repairs provided by Stotts. Highly recommended.
If I could have I would have given them 0 stars. Bad vibes as soon as I walked in. Even their βfriendsβ who hang around are rude and push right through you when you are talking business with staff. Made me wait 5 days until they finally told me to pick my bike up and that they couldnt fix it. The true rating is 0 stars!! Dont patronize this place.
Ive been going here since I got my first bike as a kid. A few years ago, Brett helped me with a cheap walmart bike, explained to me what to expect out of it, put some better parts on it when the plastic derailleur shattered, and has always been a nice dude with reasonable prices.
I have been riding bikes for many years and after doing my own maintenance, Ive become really good at fixing them as well. But due to a pretty bad fall of off a side of a mountain, my bike was in ruff shape. After a quick search this place had good ratings and was a block down the steert from me so I decided to take my bike in. The first thing I noticed while I was waiting to get helped was that the staff was very knowledgeable when they where helping the customers a head of me. They also werent really trying to sell the merchandise, which sounds funny since its a shop. The customers would ask questions and the staff would just answer and give options based on the customer needs, but never perssureing to make the sell. Eventually they got to me, after which I showed them the damage and they give me a quote. Through no fault of theirs I had to leave my bike for 2 weeks. Turns out there was some kind of shortage on my kind of rim due to covid :/ Somehow they were able to find a rim for me, and did a fantastic job of putting the back on the mountain roads. As an added bonus, they made the front tier tubeless, but told me they had ti leave the back one alone because the rim was not meant for it. Almost 2 months later the bike is still running like a champ and thanks to the rim and tire they found I am able to corner better. Many thanks guys! These weeks would of been a bummer with out my bike :)
Ive been here once before and they fixed me up nicely (tbh the problem was simple and resolved in a matter of minutes). However, writing a review because just today I walked my bike 1 mile down the road to have it serviced here, and found a sign on the door that read Sorry for the incovenience, we closed at 5pm today (though normal hours indicate a 6pm close). Looked down at my watch to see it was 5:11pm. Then walked my broken bike a mile back down the road. Honestly partly my fault for not having a bike rack, but always disappointing to see a store close at a time earlier than posted hours.
I bought my bike here and Ive been going back since. Theyre super helpful everytime I go in with everything from tune-ups, to todays, to bike fitting, to shoes... Theyre an all around solid shop.
I recently brought my bike into Stotts to purchase a new wheelset. They did not try to up sell me on anything I didnβt need, listened to what I had to say and set me up with an awesome set of Chris King HED Belgium+. I went on my first ride with my new wheels today and it was amazing. They were in my price range and exactly what I needed, nothing more, nothing less. Iβve had many experiences where salesman try to up sell you into things or brands you donβt need. These were not those guys. AND they fixed a shifting issue that an Authorized Trek mechanic wasnβt even able to fix!
Great service..nice people
Bad vibes here. Shop keeps were rude and seemed wholly uninterested in my business. I wouldnβt feel so aggrieved as to write a bad review if the sales staff hadnβt perked right up for a middle-aged white guy who walked in after me. I know itβs a tough time for many independent shops, and I drove to Stotts from Griffith to find a home-base shop to support long-term. After a very unwelcoming experience, I will keep looking.
This is the kind of bike shop you want to do business with. The price I paid for my Cannondale was the best I could find in LA or OC. I appreciate the time they took in recommending the model I choose, they know their stuff! great shop/service and selection. Thanks Stotts for hooking me up!
I love this place. They have water, coffee, coconut water, energy drinks, fuel, etc. Perfect place to start/end your long run. They have everything here and it is 10% off with check-in.
Bought new tires and tubes. One tube had a ball that I could feel on the bike. Took it back and the person that helped me was rude. And didnt exchange the tube. It was only $4 that is very bad customer service.
Got my new bike from them at a super good price. Initially I wanted a different model (Giant Anthem X) but they suggested that I also look at the Giant Trance X. I ended up buying the Trance and couldnt be happier!Their staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and will definitely help you find the right bike for you.5 stars, guys!
Always great hooked me up with what i needed and got me vack on the road.
I hope Ferran enjoys his new bike!!
Last week I brought my bike to H&S because the frame cracked and the life time warranty would replace it. This has happened to me before but never has it been completed so quickly as was done by H&S. I was out riding my bike within 1 week The service charge was much lower than before also. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is down to earth and very friendly. I will be recommending them to anybody I come in contact with who needs anything to do with bicycles.
I was a walk-in customer, and it took them a while to help me out. I was there before other customers. When I was helped, the guy seemed rushed. I asked him basic questions. He wasnt particularly friendly, but either way I decided to get a rack installed. He said it would be a few minutes to finish another bike... 15 minutes later, he asks me if I had decided on what I wanted, when I originally had told him I wanted to put a rack. The thing that irritated me is that other people came in after me and added a rack as well, left before me. I heard the guy in the back tell the guy to charge me for extra costs. When I payed it was double the price of the rack due to labor and added parts. The guy that rang me up was another guy and seemed pretty sneaky. He didnt go over what the costs and left out a few things, added that I need work on the bike and all. He told me the total and I had to question why it was double. I understand its a business and profit is key, but giving the customer the price before is something that I prefer. Having second thoughts about this place. In all the total waiting time we spent was 45 minutes. It seems that if you have a high end bike they receive you with more attention, other wise you are just not taken serious about being their customer.
Really solid work, H&S bikes; thank you!I chose HG&S you over the other 3 local competitors because they took care of everything with one visit. Other shops wanted me to drop of my bike on one day, then come back when it was boxed and required me to print the shipping label for them. I was at the end of a tour down the coast with flight out the next day so 1) returning to the shop wasnt possible and 2) I dont have access to a printer. H&S answered the phone, listened to my need, and simply said from start to finish, well get it done; just bring in your bike which was exactly what I needed. This kind of problem-solving is who I want taking care of my bicycle--thanks, H&S!
Great staff, great shop.
Horrible service! Took in a new bike to get the chain put on and they said it was damaged. The bike is not damaged, these people dont know what they are doing.
Cool place, nice guys, easy to talk to, informative, and helpful!
Came in for shifter adjustment, they quoted me 15$ charged me 10$, Extremely professional and extremely caring for anyone who walks in, there was a man and a woman in their late 60βs came in, needing basic adjustment for their grandsons bike, they took care of them for free! support this small business, sooner or later you will need something fixed on your bike! and Walmart ainβt going to do it!
I had a stiff chain link for the whole day. At 21:30, I was going home while I noticed the lights are on and there are people in the shop. I entered the shop without any hope. I think the staff and their friends had a Christmas party or something. I was going to come out while they called my and asked about my problem, then they solved it without charging anything. Thank you. I will definitely suggest you to all my friends.
I got my flat tire fixed, new taller kick stand and rear lights. And they helped me assemble my rear bike rack and showed me how to use it! They are all super nice and helpful. Im surprised at some of the comments of the employees being condescendingβI know nothing about bikes but all 3 people I dealt with today were super sweet and helpful.
Absolute best shop for repairs or upgrades...or a new ride! Nobody knows bikes like Rob and his crew.
Great shop. Excellent service, support and group rides.
Super nice staff. Helped me out with my problem and taught me a few things. Thumbs up!
Overpriced Merchandise. Extremely Lazy & Arrogant Staff. They just want your Money. BOYCOTT this place at all costs.
Awesome guy gave me vital info. Very knowledgable
Had a flat tube. I asked the price they say 7 with 10 dollar service fee.I express that its expensive because Ive gotten it for 7 plus I add tip. He was super nasty and told me if Id like he can charge me more to give me something to complain about (he wasnt joking he was just rude).I continue to talk to my friend and tell him that its going to hurt my pocket and that I was frustrated because this is another expense I have to add (deep dive about economics with my friend is pretty common) The coworker sitting on his lap top then said you know what we dont need to do this then he then calls his other coworker to ask him to stop working on my bike. I told him to finish and to keep out of my personal conversation. The whole experience was unnecessary and rude.I am a new local and I hoped I found my spot because Im on my bike all day... guess I didnt.
I understand that everyone who works there has extensive knowledge in bicycles. But the condescending attitude that comes across from them has put me off from this place for the last time. I went in there for the first time for a lock and an air pump. The second time I came in there for a bicycle tube and while being distracted about bike talk while I was in there, I was given the wrong tube despite bringing in my old one to show them what I needed. Never mind the fact that I walked a few miles to their store and then had to drive there anyway the second time, but I didnt get so much as a sorry we got you the wrong tube. Incidentally, I found out that my tube was bursting because a tear in the tire itself. Im going elsewhere to replace that too.
Rocky Rocks!! He was so helpful, patient and gracious in repairing our bike at the last minute so we could enjoy a holiday ride. He went above and beyond the call of duty.
Awesome shop. Friendly staff. Great selection.
Great shop !
I went in looking for some bearings for the crank on my bike that were worn out and left with a new bottom bracket installed by the guys in the shop, all at a price a lot less then I was expecting. I was very happy I stopped by and I will be visiting them again in the future.
Awesome shop and great group of workers..
Im visiting from SLO and was concerned my new pike fork was not working. SRAM mentioned I could ask a shop to work on it, took it here (purchased elsewhere). They went through the fork, my shock, and helped me set it up. I only had one day off to fix it, they had someone who could fix it and could get it back to me same day. Luckily the fork was fine. Would trust these guys to fix my bike anyday. Everyone was very friendly, I hope I can make it out to ride with these guys. Definitely a shop that I will stop at if Im in need of something before heading to Big Bear, or just down south.Eric
Staff is super friendly and they carry Cannondale(love it).
Great last minute service.
Great bike shop. Good for experienced cyclists and non-experienced cyclists who dont want the bike snob attitude.
They are GREAT! Honest and knowledgeable.
Really good customer service. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Wide selection if bikes and accessories.
Very rude staff!
Very friendly staff that sells and services all types of bikes. Not a typical snobby elitist bike shop.
Friendly and helpful staff. Checked and filled my tire psi free.
Rude, over priced
Super good prices and professional service.
This place sucks 32 dollars to look at my electric scooter for a flat tire plus the 8 dollars to fix it.. and it went flat the very next time it was ridden, I took it to another shop and they found the tack in the tire that gave me the flats. This place sucks.
VERY RUDE people.......we never seen it in our entire life, if they could hit us, they probably would do it. never ever again will go there.
Got here on a saturday, currently outside while writing this. Shop closes at 7pm and i got here at 6:35 there were 2 people inside and door was locked and they wouldnt let me in.
Quick service. Good selection of gear.
Great service and very attentive.
Wonderful service, helpful staff, great bikes
I went there to got my front tire fix. And it took them a very long to to replace the intertoob. But otherwise allright.
Quick and good service.
Management handled a situation well with one of their employees.
Excellent!
Fast friendly and honest
