What a gem! I flew in from Raleigh North Carolina and was starving so I randomly found this place while searching for breakfast in the area of Midway Airport and I couldnt have been happier with my choice!Michelle was our waitress and she was so great. The food was stellar and over all, its was a great place to catch up with my childhood friend of 30 years. Next time I come into the area, I will definitely catch breakfast at Maple N Jams Cafe again.

We came in on a very busy morning and they were all so pleasant to us the entire stay. The service was excellent and food delivery (even though the whole inside of the restaurant was packed) was incredibly fast and delicious. I try to order something new every time I come and I havent been disappointed yet. Highly recommend this place for early breakfast or even brunch to anyone. Even though we came in an hour to closing time, we never felt rushed. They even sat an entire family down few minutes to closing the doors. We will most definitely continue coming back and telling our other friends about this place! Their food is a must-try! You wont regret it.

I did not eat the food to be clear. I didnt even stay to be seated. I hear the food is excellent in the service is good. But the close proximity of everyone sitting and eating was disturbing during covid. Yes it is a very small restaurant, But then come up with clever ideas for dividers. You could literally be sitting shoulder to shoulder with a stranger whos chewing with their mouth open and spitting. Food for thought. We left to another restaurant that was properly divided.

What a great place to have breakfast. The food was fantastic the service was 10 stars and the prices were reasonable. I had the House Omelet which had ham sausage bacon mushrooms onions tomatoes and three different cheeses. Outstanding highly recommend this. The coffee was really good and the cup was never empty

Awesome place food is good, ample parking. The 2 sisters who run/own the place are the sweetest sisters. Polite and always greet you with a 😃. Theyare very engaging with the customers.

It was my first time in here yesterday and let me tell you, as soon as you walk in they treat you so nicely and like family. Just like I would if I had guests. Only problem was the cashier was a little bit unprofessional but the food was fantastic. So delicious 😋 I will be back again, thank you

First time there, being mothers day it was packed. Was told there was a 45min to an 1hr wait. So we looked at the menu on our phones and decided well do carry out. Went back in and was told the kitchen was on hold because it was so busy, so we decided to leave. Once we were outside we were asked if we were leaving, and were invited back inside. (We assume it was the owner) he got us a table very quickly. We sat down. Ordered. We got coffee while waiting for the food. She got a waffle with blueberries and a corned hash on the side and I got the house omelet with pancakes. Everything was great and delicious. The servers/waitress were nice and making conversation while doing their job. We took our time eating but also hurried a bit because we used to work in the industry and know how hectic it can be especially on occasions like today. We really appreciate the service we received today, it was totally unexpected and caught us by surprise. And will definitely be back to eat here more often. Sorry for the long review but just have to say thanks and if I could give 10 stars I would. This place definitely deserves it.

This place is really nice, our waitress was very pleasant, even the guy who cleaned our table was nice. The food was excellent, and fresh! The first of many more visits to come!

The BEST breakfast/ brunch locations on the south side! You can order anything here and not be disappointed. We had the best staff experience and they were so attentive and fast with all our food orders or extra requests! Opa Omelet is soo good and you can’t wait to have the breakfast sausage!

Maple N Jams Cafe is my ALL TIME FAVORITE place!! They have THE BEST Florentine Benedict. They cook the spinach perfect, surprisingly it is an issue if I go to different places. We have tried many dishes and they are all mouth watering! The staff is so friendly!! If you havent been here yet, you have to upgrade your dining and visit....your taste buds will thank you ♡

Pretty limited menu but the food was great. Also love the remodeling ♥️ our waitresses wasnt too friendly- and the restrooms could be cleaner, but our food came to us within 15 minutes on a busy Saturday and we all enjoyed it.The parking situation also isnt too great as its in a plaza and on busy days, youll be fighting for parking.But I would definitely eat here again

Honestly, this place is beyond amazing. The food is beyond amazing. Super delicious and puts up a very beautiful plate. Their service is super fantastic, nice, sweet, and always checks up on you which is thoughtful. I also want to do a shout out to them for their service because they saved my grandmothers life. They saw she wasnt her normal self and acted instantly on calling 9-1-1 as well as my parents. They saved her life from a stroke. Truthfully, if it wasnt for them my grandmother wouldnt be her. So thank you guys so much for the amazing food, the service, and for saving my grandmother.

The Service was absolutely amazing and the food was good. We sent on a very busy day and the communication and swiftness given by the front staff alone made me want to come back. All I can say is the Hawaii 5.0 pancakes are a Hit!

Overrated!! Biscuts and gravy were cold, my eggs were cold and not done, hashbrowns were cold. Ham omlette was good though, just warm. And when I told the waitress, she literally put her fingers on my plate and said she could get me more eggs. But to put her 3 fingers on my plate was not very sanitary. I will never go there again!! That was my 2nd time at this place. And both times, food was cold. Buscuts and gravy were terrible!! But I was so hungry, I ate them (all but 1)

This place is awesome. It reminds us of a small (not really small) mom and pop diner/bistro, where you are warmly welcomed and treated like family. The hostess was accommodating and the waitress, Michelle, was knowledgeable of the menu and patient with our indecisveness. We asked for her recommendation and she did not under deliver. The service was quick, food GREAT and the environment, clean, friendly and inviting. Our experience was so wonderful, we didnt even think to try another breakfast spot during our 2 day visit; we returned the very next morning. We had the Mexi-Skillet and Supreme Burrito the first day... AWEMSOMSAUCE!!!!; then we returned and had the Chicago Skillet (OMG the gravy) and Banana Foster French Toast (w/ bacon and eggs) the next day. The bacon was meaty, not all shriveled and thin and eggs were fluffy. This place will be our first stop every time we return to Chicago. Ask for Michelle and tell her that her Atlanta friends sent you. ☺ Attached pics are of the 2nd day meals.

I haven’t been here since the first lockdown. The place has been remodeled and it’s so cute!The food tastes even better than I remember! The Greek skillet is my go to here! The only place I can have gyro meat for breakfast! The staff here is also so friendly and it has such a welcoming atmosphere. 💕

5 stars because the food and service is bomb I bring all of my friends here and they love it. Everybody who works there is kind. Walked in was greeted by both host and the waitress Pamela was friendly always making sure we had what we needed. I always come here & will continue to come. THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I loved the decor they had and the food was good too. We came at a busy time and I was starting to feel rushed out before I even ordered because two of my party was still on their way. And they asked like every two minutes where they were. It only took them like 10ish minutes to get there so felt kinda rushed but it was busy and I get that. Lots of menu options though.

They told me i could not place an order to go because they were trying to catch up with house orders. That is ridiculous . Never thought a business would turn away a customer .

I called my order in..and it was ready when they said it would be..kinda wasnt seasoned to my taste..but I get it..some people may have medical conditions so you have to be careful. I was charged like a takeout fee of $1.00 Im guessing it was a way to kinda recoup losses during covid..but it was just strange to me..I ddnt notice until I was long gone from the place but just a heads up..enjoy

I visited Maple N Jams Cafe for the 1st time today, along with my significant other and 6 month old daughter. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and felt so welcomed! The staff was so friendly.I ordered the Go Bananas Waffle, sausage, and a blueberry milkshake. The Waffle was just perfect, the milkshake was not sweet but it was good. The Mexi Skillet is good too and has so spice to it. #5Stars

I cant say enough good things about the Philly Steak Skillet and Apple Stuffed French toast. Theyre phenomenal!!! This place is rockin out some awesome breakfast food! A must try for sure.

This place is awesome. Ive been here multiple times, and I always leave with a satisfied tummy (with the exception of one time). I always come for brunch so I cant attest to their lunch menu, but their breakfast selection is ample and delicious! I especially appreciate that they offer a 1x1x1 or 2x2x2 meal instead of the usual 2x2x2x2 meals most restaurans offer because that catters to people who are looking for a smaller yet filling meal. For all french toast lovers, I recommend getting the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast (see pic). It is so good!In addition to the food, I also really appreciate the service. Most of the waitresses are attentive and very nice. The lady that welcomes you at the front desk and then takes you to your seat is the sweetest. She always has a smile on her face, so seeing her always makes my day.Overall, I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a delicious American meal and to all brunch lovers like myself.

But overall good food.Trying to call and place an order but couldnt get anyone to take my order.I was put on hold for a very long time.Hung up and called again only to get hung up on.Im rating this a one star for bad customer service, you should be more professional.Im gonna stay away from Maple N Jams for a while. Waited on hold for 7 minutes (I understand business can get busy) but when I call back and they take my order within a minute, that definitely makes me believe they forgot I was on hold. If you call for pickup, they don’t start the food until you pay when you get there or you give them your card information through the phone.

Update 2021: Amazing staff! Still great quality food at unbeatable prices. I cannot wait to go again soon!Very disappointed in the way my sister and I were treated by the heavyset woman behind the counter who greeted us by telling us they don’t allow outside beverages. The hostess asked how many but she insisted we could not be taken with our drinks. Very rude. NEVER have I encountered or been turned down from a business for having an outside drink. To make things worse I’ve been there a handful of times and NEVER had an issue! We were just asked to put our drinks in one of their cups. I think moving forward this is not a place that is welcoming especially if you don’t like there coffee/have an allergy issue/etc. Whatever the case might be this isn’t a place I recommend by the way she spoke to us. I hope the manager or owner can acknowledge it and change their policies for business growth, and of course into consideration for their customers.Update! I have gone back and am quite pleased to see that they are okay with outside drinks. Or at least this time I was not asked to toss it or not come in with it like before. Thank you Maple and Jams!

This restaurant is very known for good breakfast. Unfortunately the day I went it was a big disappointment. First the waitress in not a busy day got my drink order wrong when I repeated myself twice about my drink option. I let it sly. It gets worse. My toddler daughter had the scramble eggs. Can someone please tell me why the rgds were still runny with yolk on the plate. Really?? So I told the waitress that I dont want the plate. So I paid without seeing the bill because our breakfast was ruined and plus we wanted to leave immediately. Got the receipt, I paid for my daughters breakfast. Thx waitress. Job well done. The End

We got there a little before opening time and our waitress let us to the patio right away, delivered fast and grate service. Food was awesome and served in disposable containers for health security reasons. Loved the whole experience.
