The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere is cozy and sweet. But unfortunately that was the worst breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. They used carton instant egg and heat it up in a microwave. I got a sausage egg and cheese bagel and it tasted like absolute nothing. I had to put ketchup on to taste it.Coffee was excellent tho and the outside seating was great. Just cannot stress enough not to get a breakfast sandwich. I would try again with something else, though!

Crusty on the outside and chewy soft inside, a perfect bagel. Coffee is hot and tasty. I highly recommend!

This is a nice friendly neighborhood bagel, coffee, and creamer place. Bagels are good New York style, coffee consistently good, creepers always a favorite.

I have been here a couple times and their bagels are amazing, but I went in a little while ago and just want to give a shout out to the girls behind the counter this morning. They were both unbelievably kind, I am really indecisive so people usually get annoyed but the girl that made my breakfast sandwich was super helpful and like I told the girl that made my coffee, my flavored cappuccino was ON POINT! I get cappuccinos at all of the bagel places in/around Burlington that sell them and this one is definitely the best Ive had so far. So I just wanted to say thank you and keep doing what you ladies are doing because it works. =)

Ordered lunch sandwiches online and went for pick up only to find out they were out of bread. The orders were not prepared, of course, and we had to revise our order. Point being WHY DIDNT SOMEBODY CALL US?? They had the number and we had paid. Charged us for our drinks after when we had to eat onsite.

I go here frequently, their Italiano bagels are delicious and though they are often very busy I am in and out in a timely manner.

The bagels are great. Chewy and crisp on the outside with great flavors. Service was fast and good. They have a huge variety of bagels and cream cheese. The coffee isnt made fresh, but as far as the deli goes, you cant go wrong!

My new favorite bagel shop... Ive been in search of a real NJ/NY bagel since moving to VT 5 years ago, and have finally found it! Bagel Cafe & Deli is the best bagel spot in the Burlington area and I highly recommend. I especially love their veggie cream cheese!

Delicious food and a great staff, I would recommend them anytime.

Always go here before work, but order online. Today my order wasn’t started when I got there and the owner made sure to get it done quickly. He was great and offered me coffee. (Made it to work on time!) The employees are always on top of the game too. Absolutely love this place!

They are always super friendly. This is my go to for lunch. Their bread is insanely delicious! In the summer their creemees are great as well. The owning is often in the shop and he is always greet g customers and asking them how their meal is and such. It has a great local vibe.

They have a ton of different kinds of bagels - always freshly made - and different cream cheeses. Good coffee is a bonus! Plus they have outdoor seating and ice cream in the summer. Staff is friendly and efficient.

I went for Maine for the summer and asked my sister if she could mail me a bagel if I gave her $20 she said yes! No other bagels compare to their bagels. Other bagels are either too soft or don’t taste even remotely like their magical bagels! I hope my bagels come soon.

I have ordered food from this location multiple times. The food is good at times, however majority of the time they forget to add items to my sandwiches. I just ordered a New Yorker. They forgot to add capers, forgot to add the additional hashbrowns I paid for and they didnt toast my bagel. They also messed up my friends order as well. If you order food from here it is in your best interest to open it onsite and make sure they didnt mess it up because more often than not that will be the case.

I buy their bagels at healthy living freezer section. The last six that I bought were cut so poorly you couldn’t get them into the toaster. Not sure I will buy them again based on his poor experience

Nothing overly fancy here! Just a good ole bagel shop with a few pastries. They do have a deli, daily soups & a creemee stand in the summer. Different cream cheese flavors & bagel varieties at reasonable, standard bagel prices. Lots of parking & seating, some outside tables too.

In my opinion, this place has the best bagels in Burlington. The staff are super nice and fast when it is and isnt busy. The pricing is similar to other bagel places that Ive been to. I would highly recommend.

The bagel Cafe and deli has some of the best bagels in town. I have my go to of toasted sunflower with veggie cream cheese. There is also a revolving special flavored cream cheeses. They have great day olds, coffee and very friendly staff. It gets pretty busy but will always be worth any wait.

Good selection of bagels, spreads, etc. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful (nice suggestion on the bacon-scallion spread). Saving the fifth star for a place that has bagels with that special, hard to describe greatness. These were good but not memorable.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!First, the eggs are cooked in a microwave and are often still very runny. Conditions on the food line do not seem very sanitary. One afternoon I saw the owner, Peter yell at a man to turn down his music (car parked outside and cremee window was open). The man calmly said he was getting a sandwich and then would be leaving...the owner kept fighting with him. This customer happened to be black. Later, overheard the owner say ...well, I havent got shanked yet! Could not believe my ears - such racism. Other times, have seen the owner being very rude to customers and employees. Terrible place.

Best bagels and creemees in Burlington! Trust me

Manager goes around store searching for customers who might brought in outside food. Then he smiles at you and reminds you that no food is allowed. What an insecure brand and manager.....just because people bring in food it does not mean they eat it at your place. And i spent money there as any other person.....customer service girls were very professional and venue was indeed clean and nice...this sort of attitude need to be fixed...people are customers, not scam bags.

Service was very poor. Bagels are fairly good. Reasonably priced. The staff is just highschoolers who dont have customer service experience and dont care to learn.

This place can be very generous with their cream cheese proportions. When you ask for a small amount you can see them holding back from dipping the whole bagel in the bucket, placing it on the counter and asking for a small amount of cashola. This situation dosent happen too often though and it isnt bad either because I love cream cheese :) This place is good and has good food.

I do not intend on returning. I was shocked by how unpleasant the owner was to his own customers. Bagels were fine, employees were pleasant. After speaking with others about how I felt The responses were he is just known for that. I hope he treats his employees better than his customers.I do not ever write bad reviews, everyone is human and everyone has bad days. But I cant stop thinking about this experience and I feel if this is something he truly is known for it couldnt have been just a bad day.

Coming from someone who has been in the service industry for some time, the service is horrific! They are always beyond rude. My order always gets messed up, even when its the simplest of orders, and they get very upset with me when they do mess it up, even though its always been an error on their part. The bagels and sandwiches are decent, but the service makes me feel uncomfortable. I have been several times and have tried to give them many shots to prove themselves, but my boyfriend and I can no longer justify spending money there.

Incredibly friendly staff and great atmosphere

Staff and food were great! I actually preferred their bagels to Brueggars. I got a 4 cheese everything bagel with bacon, onions, peppers, tomato, cabot cheddar, jalapeno cream cheese, and chipotle mayo. The bagel wasnt too salty or overwhelming garlicky tasting- just perfectly balanced with sesame seeds and poppy seeds. Quite affordable for the portion size. Will definitely come back the next time we are in town.

Stopped here for lunch after riding the Burlington bike path. Service was quick and our samdwiches were excellent. Had to have an obligatory Cremee afterwards and they are generous with their sizes and were tasty. Ill be back when in the North End of BTV.

I just had my first experience today and it was one to be remembered for all of the wrong reasons. Cant believe the guy behind the register let someone cut in front me, even though I was CLEARLY in line, and didnt even apologize when he could see that I was obviously upset about it. The guy who cut the line even apologized, which I appreciated. But for a customer to express disappointment in a experience and then have the person at fault try to make light of it, by defending their awful behavior is unacceptable. He had the nerve to ask Did you wait a long time? when I complained. I was floored. How condescending and inappropriate! We all make mistakes, and apology would have been more than enough. However, when he placed my card on the counter after swiping it, and then placed my receipt on the counter, when I handed my card to him after he asked for payment, said all it needed to really. Because he definitely reached out to hand the guy who cut the line his card back, and if Im remembering correctly, the lady in front of me, too. Yes, its very clear to me what time it is at this business. Ill be sure to drive right pass this establishment and take my money elsewhere. No thanks.
