My driver side window became stuck in the down position this morning. Its still under warranty and I called the Burlington dealership to get my 2017 Kia in for service. The person who answered the phone said the first available appointment would be October 1st. So, I asked to speak to someone in management. She sent me over to Scott in the service department who just mimicked what the first person stated and wasnt willing to consider any other options to help get the window up prior to the October 1st scheduled service appointment.Update: Since speaking with Scott, who definitely should not be in a customer service position due to his snarky personality and lack of understanding how to provide solutions, Andy the Service Manager was in contact with us regarding the down window. He quickly assured us it was a top priority to at least get the window in the up position. Was able to take the car in this morning and have the window raised. Will go back to have the motor replaced once the ordered part arrives.Hats off to Andy in finding the time to get the car in as the priority it should have been when speaking with Scott. The customer service and follow up since has been excellent. Thank you, Andy!
My Kia Soul broke down and I called to make an appointment for it to be seen and the soonest they could get it in was 2 weeks out. I asked if I could bring it there to leave it until they looked at it because I had to tow it to them and they agreed that I could bring it there. Upon bringing my car there I was filling out the paperwork and I met their service Manager Andy and I explained my situation to him and that I didn’t have another car and I really needed it to be seen. Andy didn’t make any promises but said he would definitely try his best to get it looked at sooner than my appointment. I got a call 5 days later from Andy and he said he was able to get my car in and diagnose it. Although I didn’t end up having them fix it, it gave me the clarity I needed so I could move on from that car and not have to wait 2 weeks without a car. Thank you Andy for the great customer service.
We purchased a new Telluride in 2021. We initially drove up and filled out paperwork to lock in the vehicle. We were told once it arrived we would come back, sign the final financial papers and be out in 20-30 minutes.Jerry Smith provided a shuttle from Seattle to Burlington, which was nice, for the sales price they certainly can afford a shuttle. My wife was basically held captive for 3 hours at the dealership. Someone in front of her took over 2 hours to sign. The excuse was they read every line of the contract and that only the finance manager can process the papers.Long story short this dealership is run like a circus. Beware you may lose a day of your life waiting to just sign your name.

We have purchased our last three vehicles there..You would think its a good thing... Its really not.Staff changes, or just a general i.d.g.a.f. attitude is all there is now... The main guy, Mike, made me feel like I was trying to steal something from him when I asked if there were refinance options, or ways to lower the interest rate (we are financed with Kia).I called back three days after I was told that I would be getting a callback from an associate, to get any response to the question that I had asked days before.If you are someone who is buying a car, youll get treated well (hopefully), but if youre a returning customer who isnt actively buying, trading, etc., a new vehicle, or upgrading yours, then maybe youll find a unicorn and get treated like they want you there.We wont be purchasing our 4th from J.S. Kia in Burlington

Broke down jon the highway across from jerry smith spun a rod bearing🤷♂️. Towed it to jerry smith kia, and after hearing the quote on a imported engine i decided to take the car to my mechanic in Bellevue. Upon further inspection after picking up the car two weeks later to tow it back I noticed a giant crack on my windshied. Then i look on the drivers side front panel above the drivers window and noticed ridiculous amounts of oil and grease as if someone had been crouched on my car. They charged my 144 for an inspection, but they made the spun rod bearing progressively worse trying to drive it around. All they had to do was strart it. Before i broke down the odo was under 145 and after picking up the car it just had just hit 145. I talked to service and they shrugged it off claiming it was a rock chip. Do not recommend

Amazing service from the staff. The got me in for an oil change and they washed and vacuumed my car as well. They also did a full check of the vehicle to let me know if anything was going bad. Amazing customer service and very polite and friendly.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. Went in to purchase a car. Got told and even signed the papers for a brand new car knowing full well the payment amount was high. Dealership even had us clean out our vehicle and detailed the new i told that the car is ours. Only to be told we would have to come back the following business day as the banks had closed. Mind you our credit is good, payment history is fantastic and all that jazz. Fast forward to next business day, hear nothing.. Finally call and are told they are still working on it.... Will hear next day... And finally hear back.. Oh look it cant be financed... This after the credit was ran 14 something times. After we are told the vehicle is ours, after we are told to clean out our car... Etc..... Have worked in customer service for over 15 years. Have worked in the dealership industry... This place is horrible.. Realistically it doesnt even deserve 1 star.
5 star dealer experience! I went around to multiple dealerships on Friday and was very clear that I wasnt buying yet and was just looking at all the makes and models available. Jordan was very patient with me and was more than willing to talk with me about the models available.Then on Sunday I went around with the intention to buy, my first stop was the Toyota dealership, which I walked out of due to an inept salesman who refused to listen to me. I told my wife about the experience I had with Jordan on Friday and recommended we go there. A few hours later we were driving away in our brand new Kia Niro. Thanks to Jordan and the rest of the Jerry Smith Kia crew for making our buying process the best weve had to date. This truly is a 5 star dealer!Update: free oil changes do need to be scheduled at least a week in advance, I just recently got my first oil change and was impressed to find my car washed and vacuumed out. I have 2 kids and seeing that they vacuumed out the back seat was amazing! Still very high on this dealership!

My experience at Jerry Smith KIA, Burlington Washington was a pleasant one. The moment I walked in, everyone was engaged and thoughtful.My wife and I had our questions answered by Malyki while the other salesmen introduced my 3 year old son to a kid room, and even blew him up balloons in order to keep him occupied. Most dealerships will try to do the opposite... Antsy kids lead to antsy parents... Which lead to quick and less thought out decisions.We dont settle, so we were there for five hours the first day, and came back for a few more the second day, but the experience itself was pleasant (as pleasant as it could be). We spoke with the manager (Randy), and he was set on making sure that our needs were met. We immediately sensed that he genuinely cared... which he did. He spoke, he listened, and he worked with us in order to meet our concerns and demands in the middle while supporting our financial/automotive needs.

I purchased a car in September, I have yet to receive my registration/plates and my temp expires in a week. I call every day trying to speak to Dustin and he never returns my calls. When I walked the lot and picked out the car I wanted an associate told me he was driving that vehicle around for his personal use.even after the dealership “cleaned” the car after I bought it, there was French fries and joint wrappers under the seat. He added 200 miles from what the dealership had on file and Dustin refused to fix the paperwork stating the correct mileage at purchase time. I asked for the car fax and Dustin said he would get that to me...we are in November now and Dustin still hasn’t gotten me the car fax or the registration. I have a feeling my car was in an accident and when I asked about it was told “it’s a used car no used car is perfect”. If I find out my car has been in an accident and you didn’t disclose this when I asked you can bet I’m going to have lawyers involved.

My 2015 Optimas engine failed at 115000 miles! I had it towed from my mechanics garage to Jerry Smith Kia in Burlington, Washington. Bob and the service team had my car for 4 business days (Jan. 3 - Jan 9th)before they looked at my engine. While I can appreciate a busy service department, this seems excessive. I asked about a service loaner or rental while my car was in their shop. I was immediately asked, Did you buy the car from us?. What difference does that make? I have 20 years of customer service experience, in retail sales management and I just cringed when my question was met with this question, instead of the answer. I felt like I would get a different answer had bought it from them. I had bought my car(used) elsewhere and after this kind of questioning from a service manager, I didnt think I would be doing business with this dealership in my car buying future. After waiting 4 days to get my car diagnosed, I called to see if they had looked at it. I was told it was next on the list. At this point, I decided to protect myself and called Kia Motors Consumer Affairs. I asked if it was typical to ask where the car had been purchased and if 4 days to simply diagnose a fully seized engine(I had already paid my personal mechanic to look at the vehicle). I shared what I had experienced already with this dealership and my case manager asked if I could hold the line. He called Bob(service manager) and within 5 minutes was back on the line. The representative was incredibly polite, understanding and thoughtful! I received a call from the dealership within 1 hour of this call and miraculously, my cars information had been sent to the tech-line for verification of my vehicles status in accordance with the Special service bulletin. The next day, 1/9/20, Bob called, I was told an engine would arrive the following Monday 1/13/20 as well as a rental had been set up for my through Enterprise. I waited patiently for the entire week (1/13-1/20/20), no calls from Jerry Smith Kia whatsoever. Having a good vehicle to get around, I wasnt too concerned until a whole week had gone by. I called Monday afternoon(1/20/20) to check on the progress of my engine replacement. Bob told me my car was next in line and he hoped it might be ready before they closed up on Wednesday 1/22/20. Oddly enough my car was completed Tuesday afternoon! My point is that, I was not given accurate timelines every time I asked Bob. More importantly, I am quite certain that I would still be waiting for my car, had I not chosen to get Kia Consumer Affairs involved. I hope Jerry Smith Kia can take a close look at how the service department is run at the Burlington Washington location. I feel there is a great need for customer service training at the managerial level. Had I been treated as though I had bought my car from them, I would likely consider them when it is time to replace my Optima.As for my car, I love it, from top to bottom! Its a great vehicle in many, many ways. Yes, Kia Motors had a known issue but by replacing my entire long block due to its premature failure, I still trust the brand, completely. I cannot say the same for Jerry Smith and will not trust this dealership with my business.Its a small world out there(thanks to the internet), perhaps you(Bob) should treat a potential customer just the same as your current customers and I would have gladly written a 5 star review for your dealership/service department. Accidents happen and sometimes it just takes longer than expected, due to outside influences that are beyond our control. Bottom line: Treat all your customers the same, be genuine, communicate the truth and reality as much as possible and you cant help be be successful in business. Thank you Kia Motors!!! I will buy another Kia when the time comes. I am thankful for a brand new engine in a 5 year old car!
The service was excellent aside from one issue. I requested that the entire flooring be vacuumed rather than the normal front floor job. This was purely for medical reasons. I was disappointed that there was barely a cursory vacuuming done. I just had cervical spine surgery & cannot move around to do an adequate job. I will continue to take MY Kia Soul in for normally above average service !!!

I spent 2 hours here the other day, and I intended to buy a car. The salesman, Dave, was nice, went for a test drive, liked everything until we got turned over to the 2nd guy who was the sales manager, dont recall his name, but he killed the deal. We ran some numbers, and he said he would have to go talk it over with some other guys. He went into a glass booth and probably talked football with 3 other guys for about 10 minutes, came out with new numbers. This went on for about 3 rounds, still didnt like his numbers. I asked to see his figures, but he would not let us touch his paper, just kept jabbing at it saying see! these are good! these are the best you are going to get! he even slapped it against his leg like Hitler did with his gloves. He would not let us do our own math, asked if we were really going to waste all the time they had all put in. I politely told him that his few minutes of time was not my concern, that this purchase would have to last me years. I have not encountered anyone so high pressured and unpleasant in a long time. Why did he have to be that way? I was prepared to buy the vehicle and would have if he hadnt gotten involved.

First off, the staff at Jerry Smith Kia are exceptional at customer service. They made sure that I was satisfied with my car. I bought a used 2003 Kia Spectra and learned how to drive manual with it. A few days later, the clutch went out (likely due to my inexperienced manual driving) and they towed the car to the dealership, put me in a brand new 2015 Kia Soul while my car was under repair, and put both a brand new clutch and a new flywheel in -- all at no cost to me! Now Im excited to get great gas mileage and master the art of manual driving with my Spectra!

The service desk and sales staff has been nothing but friendly with me and my boys everytime we go in. I go in for oil changes and we are in and out in no time(with appointment). The waiting area is great with free popcorn, coffee, and water. There is also a kids room filled with toys, coloring gear, and a tv with movies.

We were in a serious state with needing to replace a no longer reliable car. Several years ago we had a very bad situation that impacted our personal finances and as such our credit hadnt yet recovered to the high 800s it once had been. I was honestly worried we wouldnt be able to get financing as a result of this. I had researched the car I wanted, knew I wanted a high fuel efficient model as I drive a significant amount and the gas savings would offset the monthly payment.The process of test driving was not the typical dreaded, cringe worthy experience I associate with buying a car. Mark Sumner was absolutely first class in listening to what I wanted and ensuring that I got in the car that I asked for. We didnt buy the first day we came in, but when we were ready he was there and he had us on our way the same afternoon.The process was painless, and I am incredibly grateful to Mark for making it such a pleasant experience when I normally dread such transactions. I am over the moon happy with the purchase. I was averaging almost $120 a week in gas with my previous SUV. I recently took a trip to Wenatchee from Sedro-Woolley then back, then Bellingham and back twice and all on one $30 gas tank fill. I am very much looking forward to the cost savings of not having to pay for oil changes. Weve had the car for 2 months now and while I havent yet had a need to take advantage of it, I am anticipating a similar level of service.Top it all off I was confused on what to do to move the car out of eco mode while crossing the pass. I couldnt find it fast enough in the owners manual and I had spotty phone service. I reached out to Mark and he called me right back. Funny enough I had actually found the instruction by the time he got to me, but the fact that he returned my frantic call was really comforting when I was stressing out near the top of the summit.I dont think you could possibly go wrong coming to Jerry Smith Kia especially if you go to see Mark Sumner.

Typical Service Dept. Im a woman, drove tractor trailers for 20 years, can rebuild an engine, and these people treated me like I was stupid - typical. Top of the line Sedona - 12,000 miles, & BRAKES ARE GRINDING. Disks have 2 deep grooves in them, but they said disks are fine. THEYRE stupid for lying to me. Les Schwab said I was correct.Next stop - Executive offices.
They mis diagnosed our car troubles and did $500 worth of needed repairs, but didnt fix what was wrong. When we came back with the same problem a day later, they realized their mistake and fixed it for free.So, we paid $500 to get non-critical work done. Not sure how I feel about that. But they tried to fix it, so good?
Went in the dealership today to purchase an optima. They were offering a 5k over the kbb for your trade in. They deff were giving me a lot for my trade in but the total price for the optima greatly increased. Before this 5k over the trade in price, Optimas were around 18 brand new. When this trade in event happened, all the prices were not shown on the website and the prices are jacked up making it look like your getting a deal. Barely any negotiations were taken place and they didnt want to budge on a basline optima price which was close to 25k.
Buy a car with them free oil changes for as long as you own your car. They wash it too!

I have owned 4 Kia models now. A sedan from some years ago, a 2006 Sorento and now a 2015 Sportage and 2018 Forte . The current models I own are FABULOUS! The Sportage isnt that much smaller than the Sorento but gets far better fuel economy with more features. It was a great buy and the sales staff were wonderful! The latest, a Forte for my GF in need of a newer and better vehicle than her Honda, is another superbly engineered and crafted vehicle. We use it for trips where we dont need the supports the Sportage offers. We get over 30 mpg in town and a whopping 44 mpg on the highway and that was over two mountain passes as well! Not only are both vehicles extremely impressive but the warranty cannot be beat. I purchased the additional 10year/100K bumper to bumper warranty on them both. I love the free oil changes and wash jobs as well. The entire staff and especially those in service are extremely knowledgeable. Ill never buy another vehicle other than Kia again!!!

We bought our new Kia Soul last Saturday. Vance Kooy was superb! We had done our research on line and found the new 2016 Soul we wanted at Jerry Smith. I called and talked to Vance and set up a time to come in. After a short test drive, we were back with Vance and averred to the deal in five minutes. Now heres where things could have gone south. We were 4th in line, and there was only one finance guy, Mike, and he was taking FOREVER with them. It was only because of Vances great attitude, and frequent checking on us sitting in the waiting room that we didnt just walk out during the FOUR HOUR wait to get in to see Mike. Mike was a little pushy trying to sell us the extended warranty. Had I not already sat for hours waiting, I might have given it more consideration but I was tired and wanted to get my new car, so I cut him off.
