Extremely expensive, but you get what you pay for. This chocolate is of a quality that Ive not seen in many places in USA, it reminds me of offerings in Europe. If youre in town, bring your wallet and give it a try. For the best value, I recommend the full-size bars. To truly indulge in a range of flavors, get a combo box of truffles - but beware, they are $2+ each for bite-sized pieces. Id still say theyre worth it, just try not to go bankrupt! The truffle boxes are a MUST for Valentines Day/Christmas gifts for your significant other. I can think of no better way to give an extravagant chocolate gift to your girlfriend or other SO. The designs of the truffles elevate the experience that much further. I strongly recommend the coffee truffles and the fruit truffles. Id steer clear of the mint ones - they arent bad, but taste different than what most people would expect when they hear mint. Its definitely fresh mint leaves/extract in there, but most people are not used to authentic mint. In closing, this shop is something Id expect to see on the UES of Manhattan or near the financial district, but finding such decadence in Vermont like this is unexpected!

A great boutique chocolate spot is a must-have in any city, in my opinion. Without one, holidays, birthdays, and small gifts become significantly harder to find for people... I mean, who doesnt love good chocolate?! Luckily, NU Chocolat offers an alternative to Lake Champlain Chocolates. While LCC sticks to their fan favorites, I find NU to be more innovative, exploratory, and exciting in their flavors and execution. Highly recommended.

Not only is this my favorite tasting chocolate in the world (and i lived in Bruges, Belgium for 3 months) but the people are amazing. Incredibly kind and welcoming. This place is the definition of shopping therapy. I highly recommend their caramelized white chocolate, it might change your idea of white chocolate all together. Nu is next level.

These are the best chocolates Ive ever had in my life. Ive spent a lot of time traveling in Europe and when friends would ask me to bring back chocolate I told them No! Im bring you chocolate from this lovely family at Nu Chocolat, its the best! I will get friends chocolates here when I want to show them that I care. The family that owns this business are such wonderful people and they make no compromises when it comes to the quality of theyre product. Their chocolates are not overly sweet and have rich complex flavor profiles. You cant go wrong but, their cardamom coffee truffles are my favorite!

A true Burlington gem. I often convince myself Im going here to buy a gift for a client or friend, but alas, usually end up hoarding all of their divine chocolates and treats for myself! The warm, friendly atmosphere and wonderful customer service takes their already top notch products up another level. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of their chocolate dipped orange slices. You wont regret it!

I took my six year old daughter to Nu Chocolat for a daddy/daughter date. We were both wowed as we watched them making chocolate in their immaculate kitchen. Not a very large selection.Id say only a margin increase of flavor from normal chocolate.I bought a chocolate bar with salt and it barley has any salt on it.Maybe like a small sprinkle.I could get a gas station chocolate bar with 20 times the amount of salt on it.They seem to be stingy with added flavors.Definitely not worth the price!

Nice spot we stumbled upon while looking for sunglasses and a bathroom. Much to my dismay, neither were to be found in this place. However, I was impressed by their very nice atmosphere. If you like white walls and jazzy music, this place is for you. Not to mention they had free samples! I tried their chocolate covered almonds. Unlike typical chocolate covered almonds, you could taste the almond, and it was not too sweet. I am now drinking their mocha latte (which is pretty much melted chocolate with coffee holyyyy cow my world has been rocked- in a good way). The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. A little bit on the pricey side, but nothing much more than other chocolate places around town.

The level of craftsmanship and passion that NU puts into their products is off the charts. Everything from the packaging to the the presentation adds to the art of what they do which is providing the community with precise little pieces of heaven overloaded with love and respect to the craft of making chocolates.

These guys are the real deal. Their chocolates are professionally made and quite delicious. Helpful and friendly staff. I was a little worried to see that the place was empty at noon last Friday. If they were on Church St., just a few blocks away, they’d be packed all day. So tell your friends about this great chocolate shop and support them. Otherwise they’ll be gone and that’d be a shame.

My husband and I stumbled upon Nu Chocolat at the end of our AirBnb’s home while staying in Burlington and boy are we glad we did! First, let me say the Toohey family that runs it are the sweetest, warmest, most patient people. Kevin, the lead chef spoke to us about how they got started, his extensive training, and then went through what makes their chocolate so special. He educated us on the ingredients and flavors we would experience. His daughter was also extremely sweet and took the time to tell us about all of their truffles. She makes a PERFECT cafe mocha and espresso, too! We just got back home and our only regret was not stocking up on more of their chocolate! It’s absolutely delicious, melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting so much more. Definitely a must-experience while you’re in Burlington! We’re counting down the days until we can go back.
