I was in town for 2 days and had forgotten my makeup bag at home 2hrs away so I stopped in for some basics to wear to brunch the next morning. I don’t remember the name of the person who helped me but she was the sweetest (she has short hair with like an opal/pastel lilac type of color). She asked me what I normally use but, since they don’t carry Armani, she helped me pick a few products that would be similar and they worked out wonderfully! She even gave me a couple of samples of some absolutely fantastic night and eye creams by 111skin. Next time I’m in Burlington I will be sure to stop in to buy the full size because they are top notch.

I got a full body spray tan here for a wedding! It was great! I felt comfortable the entire time and I received so many compliments at the wedding. It looked very natural and was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be going back for the next wedding I’m in.

Best experience EVER. I stumbled across Mirror Mirror randomly and am so happy I did. They have the best products and the staff was so friendly and informative -- not obtrusive at all but so helpful in finding good quality products. Lana was the best -- she gave me a full make over and I ended up buying many of the products she used. I feel like it totally changed my life (kind of joking but not really because the face/makeup products I bought have seriously revolutionized my skin care routine). I’ve always had great experiences at this store. I’ve been shopping here since I was in middle school, and my mom brought me to their old shop on Main Street where we bought my first real make up items. I recently moved back to Vermont and was so excited to have a great beauty store alternative, other than Sephora and Ulta, while supporting a local Vermont business. I’m sad to say I will no longer be shopping here. A few months ago I went in to pick up some of my go-to items, and after working with one of their awesome sales members I walked out with some new items to try. She even texted me a few days after to check in on how everything I got was working out, and to let her know if something didn’t - amazing service! One of the new items that I purchased was a bronzer, that unfortunately only after a few uses got this weird film on top where the product just stopped working entirely. I finally had a chance to bring it into the store in hopes of an exchange, since the item was totally defective, and was completely shut down. I understand this is a small business, and they can’t hand out new products to everyone who comes in with an issue. To not stand behind the products you’re selling to a loyal customer, especially when it’s clear the item is defective, is unacceptable. On top of that, to leave your customers feeling like they were in the wrong for even suggesting that would be an option, is enough reason for me to not shop here any longer.

Yesterday I had an appointment with Will to get my makeup done before going out for my birthday and I have to say it was the most lovely experience I’ve ever had at a salon! I was greeted by beautiful friendly women who all made me feel welcome from the second I walked in. When Will came over to start my makeup he helped me choose the look I was going for with awesome suggestions. It was almost an hour of pure peace, spoiling myself, with the absolute best company! I highly recommend them for your special event, night out or just because! I can’t wait to go back!

This place saved my quarantine! Mirror Mirror did such an amazing job at tending to their clients during this pandemic - even now that they are open. They personally hand delivered my order right to my house (free of charge) and I was able to treat myself to wonderful products while being quarantined during the lock-down. I recently called them now that they are open to ask if hey are still doing doorstep delivery and they are, as well as, taking online orders, phone orders, and curbside pickup all while also being open. What an incredible step up this small business did in order to ensure their clients were still feel loved and had their coveted products during a time where it seems like nothing can go right. THANK YOU for allowing me to feel normal in at least one area of my lifestyle during these crazy times!

I dont wear makeup💄 but I am getting married💍 so my bridesmaid looked up Mirror Mirror. The staff were really great about explaining everything before they started. I was introduced to Makena Couture who is a Make-up Artist!🤩 She is lovely, friendly and made me feel so comfortable ☺️ it looked so natural 😍 so Its like Im not wearing makeup 💄 but that its perfect for pictures. Thanks 😉 for not making me feel stupid for not knowing how to put on make up. Every one was really excited for me and our big day 🌹❤️💍

We were traveling from NC and had some time to kill, so we decided to go shopping. I went in Mirror Mirror by chance - it’s a candy store of amazing brands that you only see in large department stores. I ended up booking a Hydrafacial (I’ve had several before and this was the best one by far) - Julie was amazing!! I highly recommend stopping in if you haven’t - I will definitely be ordering my facial/cosmetic products from Mirror Mirror going forward. I am a firm believer of supporting small businesses and this one is worth supporting!!

Oh my goodness, best facial I’ve ever gotten! Billie was so helpful and helped me understand how to better take care of the skin type I have. I highly recommend her facial with the scalp massage add on 😉! The rest of the staff were also so friendly, warm and inviting.

The staff at mirror mirror is incredible! They are so knowledgeable about all the lines they carry. Every time you walk in the store it’s a party. They make you feel special, understood, and most importantly they make it a priority to find you products that REALLY work! I absolutely love it here.

WAY too overpriced. They charge $300 for a volume full lash set. However, in New York they only charge $85 and probably do better too. Never seen a place charge so expensive

Had my brows done and the esthetician was great! Even though it was a quick appointment and my first time there they made me feel welcome. I ended up buying some peel pads and an oxygen moisturizer and both of them have really helped with my breakouts. Definitely will be going here for now on to get my brows done and they recommended a hydrafacial so I think I will try that out too.

I went to Mirror Mirror to get lash extensions. I left liking how my lashes looked, very full and natural. Less than 24 hours later clumps were falling out of only one eye. No big deal, I figure I’m just going through a lash cycle. after 3 days I call because my lashes are falling out in clumps everyday- only on one eye. I call, they said they would take care of me. I was set up with a different lash tech than the first time, told her about my experience and she told me she would take care of me.We get to the front desk and she tells me she’s ONLY going to charge me for a WEEK fill even though she did more than usual for a week. I was charged 50 dollars for a week fill after she told me she did more in a week than she normally would LESS than a week later.I paid, tipped, no complaint. My last straw was leaving and when I did, the lady at the front desk was extremely dismissive and had absolutely no customer service skills. She didn’t say goodbye, have a nice day, nothing. Just looked at me and walked away after I was done paying.Front desk ladies were rude and dismissive both times.Writing this review out of frustration because I am having the same problem the second time around. I sleep on my back to not disturb my lashes, do not wear mascara or eyeliner, cleanse with micellar water every other day and brush them out regularly. I do not recommend this place for lash extensions.

I got a lash lift done (first time here) one of my lashes isn’t curled and one is a mix of extremely curled and some not curled and some of my bottom lashes are curled. I spoke with 2 different lash people in other locations who expressed I could get them relaxed and it would be fine. So I made and appointment to have Mirror Mirror fix them and do a relaxor on them and after explaining and getting the okay from them I get a call a few hours before my appointment saying they don’t feel think it’s a good idea to relax them. Very unhappy and wasted my money on this service here and the service they provide for unhappy customers.

I’ve lived in VT my entire life and have tried out various salons in and around chittenden county and I swear by mirror mirror! I see Cassie and Brooke and I’m always very pleased with my results. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming as well!

Jess did my makeup for my sisters wedding a couple weeks back and did a phenomenal job. She helped with a party of four and everything she did was beautiful and very tasteful. Ive lived in Burlington for nearly my whole life but had never been to Mirror Mirror until a few years ago when I was looking to buy makeup to use on a couple of photo shoots. Everyone who helped me was extremely knowledgeable. Emily and Amber became my makeup gurus teaching me everything I know. When I entered the cosmetics industry Mirror Mirror was the only place I wanted to work. I strive to give every customer the same level of care and attention that they showed to me on my first visit. I love Mirror Mirror for its incredible selection; you can get the best products from the worlds best brands all without the pressure of a department store.

I went into Mirror Mirror hoping to buy myself a luxury item as a little treat for myself and left less than 10 minutes later feeling frustrated and annoyed. And it’s not the first or second time, so I’m leaving this review to let them know how I feel.I walk into the store and am immediately approached by a salesgirl who asks if she can help me find anything. I politely tell her no, I’d just like to browse and see their selection. She says yes that’s fine, but proceeds to follow me around, commenting on everything I see, recommending random products, asking me what I use, etc. I feel obligated to listen and converse even though I’d like to be let alone to browse. I try to hint at this but no dice. As soon as she finally moves on to someone else who just walked in, another salesgirl comes along and starts commenting on what I’m looking at and trying to “help” me. I tell her what I told the first girl and she goes and joins the first girl to assist the woman who just walked in (two on one- I guess I got lucky compared to her). I am alone for about 20 seconds when a third woman appears at my side and asks if she can help me find anything. Well, that was it. I said “No, I’m leaving” and walked out.Now, I don’t know what this is about. It’s happened to me there before. Do I look like a shoplifter? I don’t think so. Do they have complaints from people who feel they were ignored and now they’re over-compensating? Maybe, looking at the negative reviews here. Are they trying too hard to make sales? I don’t know. All I know is I feel like I’m being babysat whenever I go here. Some customers need lots of help, some know their stuff and want to shop in peace. As a salesperson it’s important to pick up on the distinction. It’s insulting and incredibly annoying to be followed around that way. It’s unfortunate because this place has some great brands and products. But I think I’m done.

As someone who had previously not invested much thought into makeup, I wanted a few high-quality products that I could invest in. The selection here is great and there are some great employees that give you suggestions, inform you about products, and help you try them on.I am, however, quite hesitant to come back to shop here because of one bad experience with a single employee. Not going to go into details, because most were welcoming and helpful with the exception of this one individual. I would suggest to encourage openness and expertise to all potential customers, despite whether they have been there before or not, or how much money you think they might spend.

This is one of my favorite beauty/cosmeticretailers in the state! I am always impressed with the wide array of items they carry at Mirror Mirror. So many amazing products to choose from and some of the finest skin care lines around hands down!The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable . I had one of their customized facials they offer and it left my skin feeling regenerated and glowing, afterwards they offered to have a girl do my makeup for me. Talk about feeling pampered! It’s a delightful shop, one not to be missed.

Amber did my and my bridesmaids makeup for my wedding and she was incredible! I had a Sunday wedding and she opened the shop early for me. She did my makeup exactly how I wanted it and I didnt even need touch-ups. It looked very natural (what I wanted) and I got lots of compliments. She is great and I highly recommend her!

I make an effort to shop small and shop local. I was a former patron until I had an extremely poor customer service experience many years ago. I decided last week I would give Mirror Mirror another try. I went in to buy a foundation and a powder, but also left with a new set of brushes and brush cleaner- I paid cash. My purchase was made at 2:18pm. I returned to the store less than 10 minutes later to return the brushes and cleaner- that I didnt need. I was told the return policy is for store credit only and within 14 days. The three sales associates were there when I made my purchase and were still there when I went to make my return. My return was made at 2:33pm- 15 minutes later. They were unable to return my money, store credit only. The sales associates explained that Once the transaction is made no matter if only 30 seconds pass, store credit is the only option. I asked to speak with the manager, but was told I could call and leave a message. The return policy is listed on the counter where you place your purse, it is deceitful.

Experts when it comes to skincare & makeup! My go-to boutique for my skin, they make amazing recommendations for what is most relevant and recent in the industry. Since I just had a baby, my goal to switch to all natural skincare and cosmetics was my goal and they guided me with great care. I now have an amazing and simple - NATURAL - routine! Obsessed. Thank you Mirror Mirror! Now to find a babysitter so I can sneak in for a facial :)

I had an amazing experience with Mirror Mirror. I walked in one day and asked for help. Explained I only wanted the basics and that I didnt know much. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They were able to walk me through the process of enhancing my features. The girl even gave me her card in case I forgot the steps! I walked out with primer, foundation, under eye corrector, blush, eye basics and all the tools for $200! So impressed. I will continue to choose Mirror Mirror as my makeup go to and will recommend them as well. I was there for over an hour being helped.

The store used to have friendly and helpful employees. Unfortunately my last two visits were very disappointing. My friend and I had to ask for help twice and still were pretty much left alone. I would understand it if the staff was busy, but that was not the case. Only one Lady seemed to be interested in actually helping customers but she was busy. I like to support local business but will not feel guilty anymore to order what I need from Sephora. 2 Days shipping and of course nice samples.We spend more than a $100 in there and did not get offered anything.Dont know what is going on, but unless I need something extremely urgent I will not go back.

Ive spent hundreds of dollars at Mirror Mirror over the years but after my second bad experience Ive decided to take my business elsewhere. Today I waited at least 15 minutes for a salesgal to find my product only to learn by a different salesperson it had been discontinued. A third saleswoman stepped in to sell me an alternative product. I explained I was in a hurry and also that I didnt want to spend more than the cost of the product I was replacing. She assured me they were about the same price. Because I believed the saleslady I didnt notice the price until I was handed the receipt, at which point I was shocked to see the product was exactly twice the price of the one I was looking for. I immediately stated that I could not afford this product. The response was, Sorry, we only give store credit. I was like, I bought this from you 30 seconds ago!. Still, after pleading for some customer service I realized I was getting no where. At Mirror Mirror, the customer is never right.

I met with Lindsey yesterday for a full set of eyelash extensions. I was very impressed by her professionalism and the service! The lash extensions are exactly what I wanted (fluffy and wispy) and look natural while adding alot of length and volume. Lindsey also gave me excellent care instructions....worth every cent and I cant wait to see her again :)

I love Mirror Mirror not only for their fabulous products, skilled and talented makeup artists but also for their excellent customer service. About two years ago, I got a sample for a perfume. Unfortunately, I lost the sample so when I went to the store yesterday I thought I would never be able to remember the name of the perfume. Luckily, after trying to describe the perfume, one of the staff knew exactly which perfume I was referring to!! Because of its popularity, the size I wanted was not in stock but she took my address and is shipping it to me for FREE. Also, she made up a sample of the perfume for me so I would have it while waiting for the perfume to arrive at my house!!! FANTASTIC customer service.

These guys have a good selection of cosmetics, but terrible customer service. My $50+ Bobbi Brown moisturizer stopped coming out of the pump shortly after purchase, and after 5 phone calls (I live an hour away), speaking to 2 different people at Mirror Mirror about this, and leaving a message for the owner, I still have not received a call back about the issue. They are happy to sell me overpriced products, but cant be bothered when something goes wrong. :(

I went in with my friend for a lash lift/tint and we both left with eyelashes flatter than we came in. It was also more expensive than it said online.

I have been into this store a few times and the last visit was it for me. The staff started out helpful but left me hanging because they didnt have the product I requested on the floor. She suggested another similar product that once again wasnt available so I waited while someone unlocked the storage room just to wait more while the staff waited on multiple clients. Clearly the communication between the staff is poor leaving me hanging long enough to shop around then drop what I had almost bought since I felt ignored and unimportant. They have enough staff standing around doing nothing but eye balling the patrons.I dont normally write reviews but I feel like this store is over priced when I could get the same products much cheaper if I want to wait two days to get it through Amazon.

For Father’s Day, I planned to buy my Fiancé his cologne and ended up searching all over Charlotte, NC only to find out no one in the area sells it in the store; it must be ordered online. He wears the original Michael Kors for men (BEST men’s fragrance ever) and I remembered buying it (multiple bottles of it actually) at Mirror Mirror while we were on vacation in Burlington, VT.They were wonderful to us when we stopped in on vacation, so with no time to spare (it was Thursday, June 14) and very little hope of actually being able to get it for him, I immediately called Mirror Mirror to see if they had it in stock. Not only did they have it in stock, they offered to have it shipped to me overnight to ensure it arrived on-time. They also remembered who we were (they probably have some sort of a client registry, but it made me feel good)!!Due to Mirror Mirror, he will get the present we wanted to give him for Father’s Day. A big THANK YOU to Mirror Mirror and their staff!!

Got the hydra facial, a henna brow tint and a spray tan today. Can I say AMAZING!!! Lindsey and her staff not only are talented artists they are really fantastic craftsman of their trade.... Beauty! I get asked all of the time what I am doing with my skin! Can I say I let them guide my way! Love the Naturra Bisse line and the Ogee organic line! I am 29 and still get a few pimples and wanted new face care products. I have tried a multitude of different acne products and havent found one that was compatible with my skin type. Everyone who works there is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased Natura Bisse facial cleanser, oxygen lotion and diamond white sun protection. I ABSOLUTELY love all of these products and noticed a significant improvement within a week! After only 2 weeks my skin is noticeably clearer and smoother. My pimples have diminished significantly and my pores have shrunk. I dont have good things to say about the products, store and employees!

AWFUL customer service. I have tried to give this place a chance, but when I have set foot in there, they ignore you. I recently saw them at a bridal expo, and they ignored people there, too! My final straw? Requesting a quote for bridal party make-up and never getting a response back when I provided them with the info they asked for. I wish I had read reviews beforehand; I would never have bothered. So happy to support the LOCAL makeup artist I found instead. Sorry, Mirror Mirror, that $1,000 worth of business is going to a more deserving LOCAL entrepreneur. That doesnt count the money I will be spending elsewhere from now on.Your loss.

My favorite boutique in Burlington! Walking through the door you are greeted with the lovely aromas of essential oil candles and perfumes, and the most friendly and knowledgable employees. There are brands to fit every beauty style and budget! I absolutely love the natural lines, like Tata Harper, Jurlique, and Fresh, and the variety of high-end cosmetic brands like Bobbi Brown and Trish McEvoy. At least one Saturday of every month the girls of Mirror Mirror host makeup events featuring different Celebrity Makeup Artists from various brands. I recently attended a Trish McEvoy event and was beyond pleased with my new skin-care regiment and the new techniques I was taught! Aside from the amazing quality of makeup, the day spa is perfection and I wouldnt trust any other estheticians with my face! The mani/pedi room is awesome as well, and I love that Im one-on-one with the nail-tech! And men, dont let all of the womens products deceive you, Mirror Mirror carries a ton of men-friendly lines like Kiehls and The Art of Shaving - my go to for fathers day products!
