They are so courteous and attentive!!I always get some type of chicken, the Apple Jack Chicken just canβt be beat! This is our favorite place to take out of town friends.You will never go wrong ordering Cheese Curds and/or Fried Pickles!! Always save room for a milkshake, believe me you will be wishing you did when you see one!! Take my word for it and order a Chocolate Oreo Milkshake, itβs Delicious π!If you have to wait for a table itβs probably because Iβm here with my friends. Donβt get impatient, itβs worth the wait. Even though we have tried practically every item on the menu, donβt worry, Iβll save some food for you. MAYBE π€ π
I stopped here on my way to a festival, felt like a hole in the wall that Id have never have stopped there but decided to try it out. Easily the best food weve had on our trip. Absolutely amazing sweet tea, I enjoyed the double d burger which was march larger than the price would indicate, paired with some delicious fries. Im very glad I stopped here and given the opportunity will again!

I came to this resturant because it came highly recommended by a few people who have eaten there before. I was recommended the spaghetti..which when It came out, even before I ate it, I knew that it wasnt going to be good. I was told that the spaghetti sauce was homemade..but it tasted like Chef Boyardee ravioli out the can. The noodles had the appearance of having been sitting in water for a while. I asked for cheese to be added to my spaghetti..before it even came out. Looked as if cheese was just thrown on there. Spaghetti was not even hot enough to start the cheese melting process. I was truly disappointed. On a side note, patrons beside me order fried shrimp and the smell was overwhelming. It made it more difficult for me to eat my meal. I have gotten fried shrimp from other restaurants in the area...and they did not come even close to the smell factor. Not sure what was wrong with these particular shrimp..but something wasnt right. I do want to say that even though the food I ate was not to my liking or standards, the staff was hospitable and tried to make my visit as pleasant as possible. I wish them only the best. This will be my one and only visit.
Very pleased with the service. I had been there in a while and I couldnt believe how quick we received our food and how good it was. Our waitress was awesome. I wish all customer service was like her.
Extremely friendly staff with good covid practices. We really enjoyed our waiter, Reggie. The shrimp basket was the best Ive had, tasted like Calabash shrimp. Seasoned and breaded perfectly. Reasonable prices. They do offer take out for those not wanting to eat in. Menu options cover many tastes. Give this place a try!
If you want some good old home cooking or burgers and chicken this is the place. Appetizers and entrees are all awesome.
All in all, it was a nice meal. I will say, its the only diner Ive seen that doesnt open until 11:00. Not much chance of getting a good breakfast at that point. I did notice that they had no club sandwiches, no tuna salad sandwich, no chicken salad sandwich. Those are three of the things I look for if Im not eating breakfast. Aside from that, the seeding was good and the weight staff was very helpful was a nice pleasant place to be.

We have been eating at both locations of Blue Ribbon diner for over a decade. This is your basic diner food with a fun nostalgic diner feel and decor to match. Staff is always pleasant, food is pretty consistent. The daily specials are tend to be our go to orders with chicken pot pie and Turkey and dressing being our favorites. Donβt skip the chocolate chess pie!
Great service. Comforting food. The chicken soup was filling and hit the spot. The chicken pot pie was different than Im used to but it was chunky and meaty and flavorful. The fried mushrooms were SUPERB. The mashed potato with gravy was just right. It wasnt salty or chalky. It was smooth and tasty. This is my first time visiting and Im quite impressed. Will definitely revisit when we come to Mebane again.

Great American diner experience. Loved the cheese curds and coconut milkshake. Wife enjoyed her vegetarian plate, and I liked my Applewood chicken BLT.Friendly, attentive waitstaff was very appreciated.

The food here is delicious and the crew are a delight to be around as well. Shout out to the night assistant manager Chris. He was very nice and attentive. Our server was very sweet too. Will definitely be coming back again. New favorite hangout in Mebane NC.
Right off the highway, had typical menu. However they had thick cut grilled bologna sandwich π. Imma country boy and its not often you see bologna in the menu. It was delicious too, wanna try something different, get the grilled bologna sandwich with the fixings. Great job Blue Ribbon and customer service was a plus ππ

Went here on Sat 07/17/21. with a freind and had a terrific meal - Chicken Fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries and sweet tea. Had an AWESOME waitress named Christina who took great care of us!!! Highly recommend the restaurant AND Christina!!

Its ok. Menu is limited. Seems mostly chicken, burgers, fries and salads. I ordered salmon burger with coleslaw which was pretty good. It was very crowded, yet NO ONE was wearing a mask except two people. Doesnt serve any breakfast item. Our server was nice but a bit slow. Wanted more tea, I asked another waitress if I could get more tea, she said sure, and took off to the right to wait on her customers. Appears this diners customers are mostly older white folks and Besides ourselves, I counted three other people of any other race, which includes one waiter.
Had country fried steak it was great the vanilla shake was awesome our waitress was great right on everything everyone was friendly and helpful!

We were out and about today and decided to stop in to Blue Ribbon Diner for lunch! The service was excellent! We came in after a huge group of people, but we didnt have to wait to be seated and our food came out very quickly! Our waitress checked on us and refilled drinks several times, which I appreciated!
Service was great. First time I have ever had a bad experience. Ordered a burger and it was not good, chili didnt taste right. Never before had a bad experience with food and my wife enjoyed her meal. Her bacon cheeseburger was good.

I enjoy going to Blue Ribbon. They have good food and great service. The staff always checks in with you to make sure things are to your liking and even the manager/owner walks around and greets customers, checking with them to see if theyre having a good experience. The coffee is good and the food always arrives hot! The only reason I didnt rate 5 stars is because of the price v/s food. Theyve reduced the amount of food you get (less chicken strips with the baskets) and I feel that $5 for an average slice of pie is a little high. I could buy a whole pie for that at the local store. It is a good place to eat, but just a little high. I will be back, but it wont be often.

Great place to eat. Food is really good and you get alot for the price. People were really friendly and service was great. Would recommend them to anyone who is hungry. Wish they would open a place in Goldsboro, NC, I am sure they would do great business.

Great Local Spot. I never want to eat somewhere I can have at home. First time to this part of NC, was not disappointed with Blue Ribbon! The staff was friendly, the tea was sweet and the food was Amazing!
Basic cheap diner food, got a salmon burger. They are likely the ones that Costco sells. The bun was not warm, just room temp like it was taken out of the bag. Fried okra seems frozen and then fried. Fried pickles super greasy.
Food is great, service is awesome. If you eat at blue ribbon and you dont get the peach cobbler then you are truly missing something special.
Good food but staff seemed overwhelmed which resulted in food being slow to come out. It looked like it was all hands on deck with everyone helping each other out. Staff was great but additional needed to handle busy times at the least.

This place has some very delicious food. Clean restaurant with very clean bathrooms. Waitress was very attentive the entire time. Had the shrimp dinner salad with ranch dressing and also had the country fried steak dinner plate. Both dishes came out hot and very fresh. Generous portions served at a great price point. It was my first time going here but I definitely will go back in the future and I most certainly recommend this place to anybody.

If i could add more stars i definitely would. me and my parents come up here at least 15-20 times a month if not more! We prefer the lunch shift because it has the best service at that time but over-all i totally recommend it for anybody that is sick of any bigger restaurants.
Holy moly. Dont believe a single positive review for this place. The food was really awful. So much salt we couldnt even eat some of the stuff. My vegetable plate was all straight from the can. Its like they covered it in salt and threw it in the microwave and that was it. Wouldnt eat there again if it was the last restaurant in the state. Seriously.
The waitress gave really good service. The food came out hot and fast. The only problem was my green beans tasted very bland.

We go to the Blue Ribbon Diner often and the food is always terrific. They take extra precautions if you dine in (due to COVID-19), which I cant say the same for other restaurants we have gone to. The prices are reasonable, the staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is very nice.
The service was most excellent. I cant remember the young mans name but he was African-American and wore his hair high up on his head. He was great. I was not too crazy about the food. The onion rings tasted like they had been fried in a vat where the oil had not been changed in months. The salad was adequate and I really liked the apple jack dressing.

We had the meatloaf tonight, which is the Tuesday night special. It was tasty with mashed potatoes and green beans. The staff was friendly and the restaurant, clean and socially distanced. Prices were reasonable. No complaints.
Have to give it 5 stars. Nothing special but thats whats perfect. It is the exact type of diner I would imagine one would stop at on a road trip in the 50s. Very familial and friendly atmosphere
This place is amazing and the prices are most definitely affordable. The fried okra and fried mushrooms are the best I have had in YEARS!! I absolutely loved the country fried steak and the gravy is definitely homemade. The chili reminds me of cincinnati chili a bit. Absolutely 100% recommend!

The green beans were straight out of a can. The mash potatoes were dry and the gravy tastes as if it is from a jar. The only saving grace was the meatloaf.The server never offered to refill our drinks. But he did ask if we wanted one to go which he never brought. He did however walk over before we left and start talking to his friends and ignored us.
They have really good chicken pot pie as a special on i think Wednesdays
