SUPER RUDE customer service from Sara and Brandy. I spoke with Sara online (live chat), and she basically told me to reorder the whole lab kit. She then asked “Why did you do that if the instructions didn’t tell you to?” Absolutely NO help. I then called and spoke with Brandy. She was rude from the start. She couldn’t answer any of my questions. Which, btw.. you don’t have to yell so much! THANK GOD I finally got transferred to Samantha. When I tell you she was the SWEETEST. Went out of her way to help me. I’m beyond thankful for people like Samantha. So helpful and I truly appreciate it. Samantha, if you see this, YOU ROCK! ❤️

Ordered ants for my nephews ant farm, first vial only had 1 live ant. Then without me reaching out or requesting anything my card was charged again for a second vial. I figured I needed more ants so I didnt complain, until I received the second vial over a month later with all dead and very torn apart ants inside. I expressed my review/issue with customer service and this is the response I received:Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!Terrible and will never recommend.

My ants were dead when I received them. I ordered ants for my son for a small ant farm he had. When we received the ants they were dead. Waste of money. I will not recommend this company nor product to anyone. I also tried to send them my review and because they didnt like what I had to say they wouldnt allow my review. We ordered a number of butterfly kits and most developed mold. As a result, many never hatched. Additionally we were informed by CT DEEP that these never should have been sold to us in the first place. I wish I had known that in advance. Its really disappointing that the company isnt following state guidelines.

I ordered a lab kit that that I needed for a college lab and was told the order would be shipped out in a matter of days and that I would receive it a few days after that. After weeks of not receiving a kit, I learned that Carolina just decided not to send them out because they were short on a couple of supplies. There was no communication with the consumer to let me know that they hadnt shipped it out yet, so I ended up not even being able to use it for my lab. The chemistry department had to completely overhaul their lab plans and give us online labs because the kits never arrived, which set us all back. Completely irresponsible on Carolinas part to not even notify me that the shipping date got pushed back one or two MONTHS when I was told it would be here in closer to a week

I needed a kit by a certain date for class, so I ordered it and was told I would receive 2 day shipping as it involved live insects. It took me speaking to three customer service representatives to even determine that I would be eligible for 2 day shipping, even though my package listed that it was live. Four days later, after still receiving no shipping invoice, I contacted customer service again, only to find out that my package not only did not ship, but would not arrive for at least another 4 days. Not only was the 2 day shipping nonexistent, but now the insects in my kit will have to be replaced because they will likely all die before they even arrive to me. The most frustrating part was not a single one of the four customer service representatives could give me a straight answer.

I ordered a product and paid for second day air. There was no mention that there was no weekend delivery and no price for the service. So after I paid, then it showed on my receipt the 2nd day fee. But I wont get it until 5th day after order was placed.

I had to order a specimen for a biology class that I am taking. As an adult with a full time job I dont have a great deal of spare time. I ordered an eye and a heart from them and picked 2nd day shipping because as a responsible adult I knew that I was leaving for a business trip that was during the time the assignment was due and thought it made sense to just go ahead and get it done early. Unfortunately Carolina Biological Supply had other thoughts, while they did manage to get some parts in a box and get it to house, they failed to get the right parts in the box. I was sent an eye (which I should feel lucky I guess) but instead of the heart, they sent me a brain (which may speak on a deeper level.) both specimens are sub par. I contacted them and was met with a mildly decent Phone rep who basically listened then used the Im going to submit this to such and such. Suffice it to say they messed up, It cost me money, and they cant tell the difference between a heart and a brain. Just beware and use a different company if you can.
