They are excellent!!
My wife has been treated by John Balance for several years and always with great results. John was recommended to us by an audiologist who was treating her at Duke who told us we would receive fantastic service from John and didnot need to Durham for treatment. John is always enthusiastic and friendly and a joy to visit with. It is a pleasure to be able to recommend John to anyone who needs an experienced, personable and fantastic audiologist.
Dr. McQueen & John Ballance make a super team. I have been seeing John for over ten years. I was his patient when he saw patients at a previous location. He was the best audiologist who had treated me so when he moved to Alamance, I followed him. The drive was almost two hours round trip but it was worth it to have John as my audiologist. I recently relocated to Burlington & Alamance ENT is very close to my home.
My 15 month old had to see the audiologist yesterday, and she was great. A little rushed, but I dont think that was her fault. The lady at the front desk, however, was extremely rude. We had an 8:30am appointment. They asked that we be there at 8:15 for paperwork. Its a 40 minute drive for us so we were on the road during morning rush which made the drive even longer, so we left even earlier. My gps took us as far as the entrance to the hospital but then didnt take us to the exact building. So I called the office to get further directions but their phone system said they werent open and wouldnt connect me to anyone. Their website didnt list any directions and I had no clue where to go. We pulled into the hospital at 8:09, drove around looking for signs, which there was ONE sign, IN THE PARKING LOT that you cant see until youre there. So we finally find the place, park, and get upstairs to the front desk. Its now 8:25. The lady at the front desk is complaining that we are late (no, our appointment was at 8:30). She said You were told to be here at 8:15. You need to hurry up and do the paperwork and get it back to me because were waiting on you so we can get to everyone else. I told her our appointment was at 8:30 and we were only ASKED to be here earlier and that if it was a requirement then our appointment time should have been 8:15. When I told her I actually would have been early if i had known where to go and that they shouldnt be asking people to arrive before they open or turn their phones on. So I sit down to do the paperwork while trying to keep my daughter close and the lady calls through the window asking for the papers. I had only been sitting down for a couple of minutes and was clearly still writing. She was pushy and inconsiderate. Honestly, it doesnt matter if you prefer someone to be early, we dont have to be there until our actual appointment time. And at the point where I said we would have been early if I could have gotten through their phone system she should have dropped it. Thank goodness we wont have to deal with her again. And judging from other reviews Im not the first person to have an issue with her.
Jennifer Brooks PA-C really gave me a very thorough examination and was reassuring, as well Liz the assistant was very proficient.
Great doctor, nurses and staff! Clean quiet office. My son gets allergy shots every week for the past year and half. Great bedside manners. Highly recommend!!
Very knowledgeable staff. Friendly and efficient. We actually enjoyed our appointment. How many times can one say that about a visit to a Doctors office?
Audiologist Jodi in the Mebane clinic is truly a joy and she is so very caring. I trust her completely and know her expertise is top notch. She is well educated and well trained. She keeps up to date in her field.
My experience with this Audiology Clinic was a pleasure. I wasnt sure what to expect. The building is easy to find and has close parking areas. It is located right across from the Alamance Regional Medical Center. From the beginning to the end of my visits, I felt very welcome and comfortable. The actual hearing test was painless and simple. Dr. Pelletiers directions were easy to follow. I felt relaxed and confident. It was really kind of fun. After the hearing test, the results were clearly presented to me.As it turned out, I had a borderline hearing loss. She suggested hearing aids could improve my hearing but the final decision was left up to me.After talking with my husband and family, I decided to try hearing aids. Just as the hearing test was simple, so was the fitting and delivery process. They are actually easy to use and take care of. They were made to match my hair color and are not noticeable at all.If I ever have any questions or concerns, I feel they will be genuinely happy if I call.I forgot to tell you how friendly and efficient the office staff is.I highly recommend you make an appointment here if you have any concerns about your hearing status
John Ballance (great last name for an ear specialist) is thorough, gentle and professional. He stays focused on the one goal of pleasing the patient. Highly recommended!
I would highly recommend Alamance ENT Audiology Clinic. My dad was recently evaluated by Jodi Hogan for hearing loss and his life has drastically changed since that day. She took the time during the appointment to thoroughly explain to him his options. Jodi was extremely professional, but treated my dad like she would treat her own dad. I could tell she honestly had a genuine interest in making his life more complete. He was fitted for new hearing aids and his life is 1000 times better now. I will always be grateful to Alamance ENT Audiology Clinic for helping my dad enjoy this new stage in his life.
I love them, I forget their in. I cant even imagine someone not wearing them if they cant hear properly.
The doctor, nurses, and audiologist are extremely helpful and professional. My new hearing aids allow me to participate in activities that I could not before receiving them. The Alamance ENT Audiology is excellent.
The doctors here should be working somewhere besides near Alamance Regional. They are great doctors! ARMC, bandaid shop. Dont let the location fool you; these docs are top notch!
New (to me) hearing aid store. Everything was just right!
Great doctor, great service. The doctor was able to diagnose what was wrong with my ear.
I have been wearing hearing aids for approximately 15 years and have seen several specialist/audiologist during this time. None exceed the knowledge and professionalism that Dr. Pelkey possesses. She understands her products both from a customer friendly perspective and expert on how the various hearing aids and other devices work. She doesnt just hand over a manual and leave it to you to sort out the operational mechanisms. She takes time to explain things in a patient and friendly manner. Dr. Pelkey and her staff exceed my expectations year after year.
I have always received the best ear care with Sarah and felt very confident in her care.
These are great people, polite, courteous, timely and concerned about your health and welfare. I would recommend to anyone needing their services.
I recently saw John Ballance for a follow up visit. John is a very caring audiologist who is a good listener. In fact all the staff, from reception to audiologists, are courteous and conscientious.
Dr. Sarah and the Alamance ENT staff are the best. They always meet or exceed my needs. Thanks for everything.
I was very satisfied with the care I received at Alamance Ear Nose and throat medical department and the audiology clinic. I received personal care and the care and concern which was shown was both appreciated and did much to increase my confidence in restoring my hearing.. Both Dr. Vaught and Dr. Pelletier are outstanding dedicated clinicians.
Alamance ENT provides excellent service for hearing aid wearers. Staff is friendly and helpful. Mr. John Ballance, in particular, is well versed in audiology, personable, and a champion of high quality customer service.
These people are AWESOME-SAUCE! I left my wallet in the lobby and they called to let me know they had it. Thanks AENT!
John is great to work with. Is concerned about his patients! Very prompt, also.
I was looking for a new ENT and I was able to get into Alamance ENT relatively quickly. I was very pleased with the outcome of my appointment and the allergy testing that I had. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for an ENT!
I have been coming to the audiology department at Alamance ENT for over a decade. Every hearing aid purchase comes with an unprecedented level of support from the staff of experts.
The doctors at AENT have helped both me and my family multiple times. We couldnt be more pleased with their professional and personal service.
They work great with my husband to get him to hear better.
Dr. McQueen is an awesome doctor and me and my children have been going to him for over five years. However the office staff is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. The horrible experiences we have had with the office staff has been enough for us to leave the practice. Its unfortunate because Dr. McQueen is a phenomenal physician.
I have been receiving care from Alamance ENT for a few years now related to my chronic sinusitis and allergies. Dr. Vaught and his team have helped me more times than I can count, and improved my quality of life greatly! I would recommend them to anyone looking for ENT or allergy services.
Arrived 25 minutes ahead of appointment to complete forms and be ready for the appointment. I finally gave up and left after 40 minutes of the receptionist calling me up to hand me new, different forms three different times. Hand all the forms out a one time and let patients know what to expect! This visit was a waste of my time. I will seek a different provider.
Great doctors, but if you have a problem and need to be seen, it is very, very difficult, if not impossible to get into the office. The receptionist staff is cold and uncaring about patient pain. They will not call in the case of a cancellation when a patient of record is sick and needs to be seen. There is NO on-call doctor in the clinic, which means that if you are sick, you will probably end up at an urgent care center, which is not ideal due to the possibility of contracting some other infection.
Very helpful with hearing aid issues.
Dr Pelletier always is professional, and remembers her clients. And takes takes care of me and my hearing aid issues.
