This is actually a great place to get really good gear at for fair prices and the staff are down to earth and super helpful.

First time piano lessons for my grandson. He loved it. Very impressive place.

I like to give the gift of music, but I’m not an expert. That doesn’t matter at all because the associates at Musicology are always very welcoming, patient and helpful while this grandma chooses gifts for my grandsons. It didn’t phase anyone that I ask a lot of questions and make decisions slowly. “Musicologists” help, but also back off to give me “think time”. Over the years I have purchased three guitars and rented a trumpet. Selecting beginners music books was easy after I described my grand’s musical tastes. Musicology is my kind of place.

We went in to look at guitars they had not been there when they where set to open and when they finally did the only thing they asked was what are price range was and showed what instruments where in the range and than walked off to tall with anouther employee about cats.

Sometimes I go in just to check out new gear, sometimes with questions about my gear and setup, sometimes to buy some new stuff.Joel took great care of my 1960s hollow body. Friendly ownership with a nice store. Now I dont have to drive to Music Go Round in Kenosha to buy guitar strings. All the good brands. Plus, its nice to support the local economy by staying in town. Im glad they are there.

Decent prices for a store front, weve spent some money in there. Nice and clean. But the guy whos always working, Id imagine the owner, isnt a friendly guy whatsoever. Try to have a conversation with him and its like hes annoyed that youre talking to him and not spending money. Think weve spent out last dollar there. Was stoked for Burlington too.

Found this place by chance, when visiting from Virginia.After leaving a neighboring business, I stopped in before going back to my vehicle. A great decision on my part.Joel happened to be in and he was so pleasant, even though I explained that I was from out of state and was actually in Wisconsin for a specific reason.He asked if I played an instrument and when I answered guitar, but many, many years ago due to life and family taking over. He just asked what I owned. I told him a very old Carvin and Ibanez.We spoke about old gear and other things. ..never made me feel out of place because of what I owned or my lack of recent playing. Made me feel very much at ease. He and some of his business neighbors could teach a thing or two on how to treat people on a business and personal level.He gave me a tour, spoke of his business model and his future vision.Wish hed license his format. Though I travel quite a bit within the US and internationally, Ive never experienced a place like it.I live in a State university town in Virginia, and though both smaller and larger music businesses are there, Musicology is heads and shoulders above anything there. Its not even close...Very envious of musicians around the Burlington area.
