We stopped in at this place for breakfast on 7/19/21. The prices are reasonable and the menu had something for everyone. I loved the decor and the hometown diner feel. Once we put our order in, we heard another gentleman complain to the waitress that he had been waiting an hour for his food. The waitress kindly told him there is only one cook making all the food for everyone.. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for the food to arrive which was hard when you have two hungry and bored kids. Being short staffed is never fun and I understand that isnt the fault of the owner. My suggestion would be to put a sign at the entrance letting people know of the long wait times before entering. Perhaps offer the customers the chance to order and come back in an hour since there are lots of neat shopping outlets nearby to keep them occupied while they wait. The food was excellent! Wed love to stop in again some day and hopefully the short staff crisis will be over.
Wholly unimpressed. Slow service. Waitress was very non friendly. Never asked if we would like a refill. 1 and half hours in this place, got one drink. Meal was fair at best. Not sure Ill go back. I used to frequent this place. Also, if I open a menu and see something as simple as Pork Chop misspelled to Pork Chip, my opinion is falling from the beginning.

Modestly affordable. Great food. The breakfast is fantastic. But truth be told, the food is a little skimpy here in terms of portion size and there is no reason one should ever have to wait almost an hour for food. The place is rustic, but is in dire need of renovation. You can see some of the padding on the chairs. Good place overall.

I enjoyed this little diner. Had the grilled cheese burger and my husband had the French dip. They were hot and good. Nice atmosphere and it was clean.

Casino pays $5 for $5. Under staffed, over worked employees are exhausted. The food is 3.5 stars which is generous. Home style cooking.

Toast was cold when I got it, bacon was over cooked, eggs and hash brown were lovely but my chicken fried steak was hug but flavor wise horrible it tasted like it was fried in old grease. Slow staff waitress didnt even bother to ask me if I wanted another drink I had to ask after 15 minutes of my drink being empty
Fast, friendly service. I reccomend the chicken fried steak. Whether you have it for breakfast or dinner, its always filling and delicious.
Service is always so good, waitresses are always so friendly, food is always amazing, and today we finally tried their clam chowder and it is the best in butte hands down.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. It took about 20 minutes to get menues then when we did order my fiancée receive her food and after waiting over 40 minutes for my food we paid for my fiancées food and left without getting my meal. I oberserved a few people who came in after getting their meals. The Customer Service is at a all time low. So do not go there if you want your meal in a reasonable time.

A good family restaurant right in the heart of town. Good home cooking and I have never met a stranger there! Anything you order is good! I recommend the pancakes, as big as a hubcap and delicious!!!
Was like walking into a retirement home... service was almost nonexistent, sausage was cold, french toast was decent at least.Would not go back
Just had a cheeseburger omelet and biscuits and gravy...all I can say is never again...!!! The eggs were rubbery...gravy was cold...and the sausage links were old and cold. And for the love of God you dont put sliced generic cheese on eggs!!!

Foods ok, price ok, service ok. I would eat again when they hire up. One person taking orders, cleaning tables, taking food to the tables and cashier. I would imagine this is due to Covid because I have eaten here hefore and there were workers everywhere. Good place for a good cooked breakfast.

First time customer. The atmosphere is very informal and the staff seems friendly enough. I ordered the sausage gravy and it came out sweet and inedible. I was still charged for it. I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant.

A couple reasons I like Copper City are the coffee is the best in town. Its close to were I live. Ive come to know all the waitresses names. I happen to think the owner is hot. Yes I said it, she is hot!!!!

Copper City Grill has great old fashioned, full plate food! But, even better than the food is the staff that makes everyone feel special. We had Tara and she made each of us feel like we were old friends - remembering previous orders, teasing with us and making each of us forget any concerns for the time we were there. We watched all the staff interact that way with customers. When in Butte, dont do fast food or You will miss something real and good!

The most excellent service and the food is 10 on a 1-10 among the diners in Butte or anywhere in my hungry chowhound opinion. The pricing/cost-quantity ratio is as good as you will find anywhere and better than most. Also, you will find that menu items such as steak and halibut are excellent quality. Everything is very good and very reasonably priced.
Had breakfast was fabulous! The food is made when you order, so dont be in a hurry!

We moved here from California just over 1 month ago. We like this place so much that we have gone there for breakfast and lunch 5 or 6 times. Good food, good service, reasonable prices.

Just not great food. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was extremely over cooked when I got it. My egg yolks were broken when they came out, and the hashbrowns were soggy. Even the toast seemed pretty stale.

Alright.This is a place that serves “food”. That is all. When I say “Food” I mean substance that shouldn’t be edible but they give it to you anyway. I got a chicken fried steak, mashed taters. Taters were good. I couldn’t get through half a chicken fried steak before realizing two truths. Number one, this food is mediocre. At best. Bland, nothing special, no exploding flavors. Just feels like poor effort in your mouth. Not worth 9 dollars. Number two, my entire body felt terrible, with nausea insinuating in my stomach. I’ve worked in the food biz before, and this tasted like food that was just sitting there for too long. I want to like this place: but there isn’t a single ounce of effort front to back. Weird clientele, but hey, it’s butte.In summary: Make an effort, dude.
Good food with nice staff. Price is fair. Lots of gaming machines to play ~ not a lot of help in this area tho if thats all youre there to do is play... youre on your own for the most part. Its been around for many, many years and I will continue to eat there.
The food is always wonderful. But tonight while we where there for dinner, the two waitresses that are on shift was having a conversation. I dont mind one bit the coworkers have a conversation but when it comes to talking about the other staff and the owners of the business there are some customers that dont want to hear it. These two where saying rude things about the others that work there and the owners. We will not be in if these are working.

The experience would be much better if the place was updated. Its so dingy and dirty. The casino is so outdated with ripped up chairs that feel like they will fall apart any minute. The food was good. The waitress I had, Trina, is very polite and good at her job.
Good food at normal prices and daily specials. The hashbrowns are to die for and my chicken fried steak was perfect. My only regret is I didnt leave room for pie! This place has been a must stop for 10 years.
Great Food, Good Service, Great Prices! I would recommend this restaurant over most of the others in Butte. It is best to dine in during Breakfast and Lunch. Dinner is not so great. Overall this is a GREAT Restaurant though! Must Try!
Pancakes are excellent. Try the pigs in blanket local style. Blueberry pancakes were terrific. Spirited waitress made it happen.
My family and i love coming here. The atmosphere is small town family. The food is great. Bonus my husband gets to play the slot machines while we wait 😜 we come at least 2 times a month.

The food was really good. The service was not good at all. We ordered two breakfasts with coffee and water, plus we gambled on the machines. Our wattress was less than attentive, our table was filthy. Had to have it wiped down again after we sat. We ordered steak and eggs, chicken fried steak, 2 coffees and 2 waters. We got 2 coffees and 1 water to share, bill was dropped off with our meal seemingly excusing our waitress from serving us. Never asked for refills for coffee, and had our obviously shared water refilled once. Once again I say, the food was great! We would of been there longer, gambled more, spent more money but the service was horrible. We are 20-30% tippers, both if us having worked in the service industry in the past, but had no problem leaving less than 10% this time around. You need to have a better hold on the front of the house, no excuse for this.
My family and i have been eating here for years,in and out of the store. i just found out they charge me for a to go order. most people are happy that people want there food even if they cant sit and eat, because most people work. and still need food. i asked other restaurants and they do not charge a to go fee. so we will never eat there again.
Classic dive eating. Get cafe style meals. Youre favorite breakfast classic meal like hash browns, eggs, bacon and sausage. Booth and table seating. Windows overlook Harrison Avenue, with the bus depot across the street. Popular in nice days. Similar to Perkins or Dennys for breakfast.

Well a bit expensive for the quality of food. Food wasnt the greatest I have experienced. My wifes pasty was very hard and dry with little meat. I didnt mind the gravy but my wife wasnt a fan. Not the friendliest service and back of the house conversations had in the dining room, including swearing. All in all I was quite disappointed with this experience.
We were on day 17 of our 3 week motorcycle wander, on our way into CDA to visit our daughter & it was coldest day wed hit. Stopped in to wrap our hands around a hot cup of java (tea for Becky) and some hot soup. It was comfortable...and warm. Lots of patrons taking seats while taking a break from their slots.

Nice little local place. I had the Salisbury steak that was loaded with peppers and onions with some nice mushroom slices on top. My husband had the Monte Cristo. My only complaint is, its a huge meal. It was still with me 7 hours later. My husband wished there had been strawberry yogurt to dip the sandwich in.
The food is great..The building will eventually need updated looks like it was made in the 40s and never been updated since..
