Went to the store to buy a stroller accessory, they ended up selling us a 2018 version which is not compatible with our 2021 stroller. Called the store ahead of time and double checked when in store to see if that is the right one that we should buy, but neither had they asked which version of stroller that we own nor mentioned this is an older model. We walked out the store without questioning a thing, because we trust their professionalism (which I regret doing). And who would’ve thought that they are still selling a 2018 model when it’s now already more than half way through 2021?! The product itself was on sale, it makes me feel like they just wanted to get rid of it….We chose to shop there because we’d like to support local business, also because of their reputation, so we were expecting a better-trained and more professional staff to at least give us a “just-so-you-know” instead of being someone who just want to sell a product and get your money.

Online order:Good options, easy checkout. but... I received an item that was previously opened and re-taped. I dont know if it is a return or a display item, but what I know is that I paid full price for it.They emailed me asking to review the service, so I did. They chose not to show my review. I though it was a mistake so I went to their website and wrote another review. Again my review never showed. They seem to filter out bad reviews and keep what suits them.

Magic beans has been our go to since our daughter was born! She is now a toddler and still love the everything they have to offer including their excellent customer service! Especially during this pandemic, it has made us feel very safe knowing all of the precautions they are taking. If you need anything baby or toddler related do yourself a favor and go to Magic Beans! Mia and Miguel now feel like part of the family. Thank you guys for everything!

We went to the store during the weekend with my wife to ask advice for a stroller. There was nobody on the store. Sellers were kind of rude by telling us they only accept appointments. As the store was empty, they did realize it was a bit silly but still asked us to pay a cleaning fee for strollers because of covid. They were clearly not happy to see new customers. We left after 2 min. We expected to see warm people, showing us different models based on our need but instead, we just saw 2 grumpy people who did not want to work. Seriously, dont go there.

I am not someone who usually writes customer reviews, but I have been meaning to share, for quite some time, how much I love Magic Beans. I first entered Magic Beans nearly four years ago when I was pregnant with my first baby. I was extremely nervous about having a baby and felt like I knew nothing; I literally had no clue where to begin. The amazing team at Magic Beans guided me throughout my pregnancy. They were beyond patient and indulgent with me. They took the time to walk me through every piece of baby equipment in the store, answer my never-ending questions, and honestly tell me what I needed and what I could have lived without.Four years later, I still consider them family. Eli, Mia, Miguel, and Beth continue to go above and beyond to provide the best possible customer care.This pandemic hasnt been easy on anyone, let alone small businesses. And despite the fact that their policies may have changed, and you might have to be a little more patient to receive a consult, I can tell you without a hesitation of a doubt they are worth it. Not only do they care about and prioritize the safety of their employees, but their customers safety is their top concern.I am now pregnant with baby number two. And even though I should be set, Magic Beans is still the first place I will go to pick up the essentials and everything in between. I know that I will find the safest, most up-to-date baby gear, toys, stuffies, and all things baby/kid related. They prepared me for the toughest job around, and they are and will always be like family.

While the inventory was fine, the customer service is severely lacking. I went to purchase a micro blade scooter for my son and intentionally went to Magic Beans to support a small business and truly regret it. I opened the box to check the color of the scooter at which point the employee told me in the most patronizing voice possible that he “can’t allow anyone to touch anything because ya know…the pandemic.” It’s pretty clear he was hiding behind logic that has been debunked for over a year, not to mention that at this point everyone in Massachusetts has been allowed to sign up for the vaccine. I also wouldn’t recommend coming here as there was not even street parking available within 5 blocks, even at 11am on a Tuesday. Shop local, but just not at this store so that a fun outing with your children isn’t ruined by a disgruntled man with an attitude.

I went to look at one specific stroller and car seat and was told without $20-50 appointment I could not even TOUCH the products. Even though the website says if you are looking for one specific product you don’t need an appointment. The male worker shouted at us across the store like we were toddlers. How embarrassing. We left and so did the other couple in there.

I was close to the store and stop to see a stroller and car seat. The person that was in the store told she can not help me. That I should schedule an appointment. I was think to give some information about a stroller ? Open and close ? Even that she helped me. I was complete ignored at the store.

Shopping at Magic Beans has always been a pleasant and easy experience for us! I’ve seen a few negative comments about the appointment process, but I love it! It’s easy to go online, make an appointment and have the confidence that when I bring my infant to the store to try out car seats or a baby carrier, that we will be the only people there.MB has taken Covid precautions seriously from the get go, and been an invaluable resource to me as nervous expecting mother to a sleep-deprived new mom. The customer service I’ve received online, in-store and over the phone has always been 5-star. Never upsold and never pressured to buy anything. I happily pay a deposit when I know it goes toward my purchase and I get the added benefit of gear experts answering all of my questions (plus knowing that all the gear has been sanitized before I arrive!).Thanks for taking care of us and making the hard decisions so much easier!

This morning we went into this branch to buy a new car seat for our toddler. The lady at the desk pretty much ignored us, working on her computer vigorously. We were the only people there. When we asked for assistance she asked if we had booked an appointment. We werent aware that we needed to but anyway she said that she is free now and can book an appointment but we need to pay a deposit to show us the seats and explain about them. We had to extract the info about exactly how that works and understood that the deposit is just a payment of $20 that can go towards buying anything in the store but is non refundable. She also said we cant touch anything. We were confused about the fact that we have to pay in advance to see products in the store and need to be careful to even walk there and so we tried to ask more questions and understand the situation. She was repeating the same phrases she said before, either in a condescending manner or maybe just like a written script. We decided we didnt come all this way to just walk out so we asked to take the paid tour and since she was on her computer working we waited for her to finish, then we walked outside the store since our kid got antsy and couldnt touch anything, then came back and asked to look around while we waited.Eventually we asked if she will help us anytime soon and she said that yes if we come over and sign something and pay. This might have been a little misunderstanding if she didnt hear we wanted this payed tour, but honestly she was just ignoring us, working on something else and making us feel unwelcome or even like we were an annoyance. She didnt volunteer any information or invite us to buy anything there. We would just shop online, but isnt this why people come to stores? To get service, explanations, guidance and maybe even some attention?

Be aware that if you want to visit to look at car seats or strollers, you should expect to have to pay $20 for twenty minutes for the privilege of being allowed to approach the goods. This is apparently something to do with COVID, but makes absolutely no sense as you are allowed to be in the store and touch all the other products. We turned around and left

Magic Beans is the absolute WORST store. Overpriced and dont care about safety. Their owner Eli Gurock is a HORRIBLE human being who should be shut out of business. He and his team sold me a car seat that doesnt work with my minivan and refused to take it back. I spent over $2000 with Magic Beans, and they could care less -- insulting and gaslighting me about my purchase. They even sent me on a wild goose chase to talk to a male chauvinistic inappropriate person named Bob at Nuna Pipa who couldnt resolve my issue either and refused an exchange. In the pandemic, I consulted multiple CPSTs to resolve my issue and each one had a negative thing to say about Eli and Magic Beans. They put together my stroller and adapter wrong, giving me the wrong pieces and not accommodating. Then instead of doing the exchange had the nerve to tell me not to shop there anymore. Well dont you worry, Ill take my money elsewhere and encourage YOU to do the same!

Amazing customer service. Im from Boston but moved out of state and the staff was so helpful professional and friendly. Allowing my father to order my carriage and accessories for me with ease. I would highly recommend this store to anyone, in person online or by phone.

Thanks so much to you, opening manager at Magic Beans. We learned at 9:30am this morning that at 10:30am, our beloved former employee was visiting our nearby office with her newborn, and we needed presents. You not only opened early for us (thank goodness I caught you with your opening keys at 10 am!) and you not only advised me, but also wrapped our presents. All before your official opening time! Thanks, and bravo--THATS customer service!

I generally don’t give reviews but magic beans service was so good that I find my self obligated to do so. We ordered Nuna mixx2 and pipa online but there was delay in delivery because of delayed shipment from Nuna. Eli, owner of magic beans called us himself and got the travel system delivered at the hospital. Have never received such a personalized customer care from any store.

Magical place with nice toys and very knowledgable staff. We got our car seats here. It is super nice to try the seat in my car, have them assemble it, just carry it out to my car to install. (Or they will install but Oobr seats are easy). They also have Micro Kickboard scooters in every size to try! This was awesome. They have really nice everything for gifts. One time I got a playmobil submarine? as a gift and the salesperson told me to get the engine to make it go on its own- you bet it was the best gift this boy got. The store is very stroller friendly.
