Nice, small target. Not fully stocked, but a well run operation for its size& location.
This target is unfortunately the closest one to my new apartment. The convenience is nice, but in the two months I have been here, Ive noticed that almost half the products I buy are well past the sell by date. May be partially my fault for not looking, but never in my life have I imagined theyd be doing this. Just today I realized that a tub of cookie dough I bought last week had a sell by date that was 3 WEEKS before I moved here! That means they sold it to me 7 weeks past the date! Its about the 4th product Ive noticed in the past week after looking over all the stuff in my fridge. Makes me never want to buy food from here again
I have not had the negative experience with the employees that other people are reporting here. Staff at this Target have been consistently helpful and friendly to me. I do pretty much all my grocery shopping here now - the value is just too good compared to the pricey specialty shops in the area.
This is a great location but the place is horribly understocked. I’ve come here 3 days in a row looking for milk. The store associates just shrug when I ask when they get shipments. Also, someone urinated on the entrance doors mats but they don’t seem to care enough to clean it either.
It’s a guessing game whether they will have what you need, or even if their shelves will be stocked at all. And it seems like they strive to inconvenience you by not having proper grocery bags available.
The cashier helped me out by reducing t bthe prices on what I bought. She was very nice about it.
Cashiers put handle on pillows. During move in season, you may not be able to get what you need. Great location for Harvard
This is basically set up like a neighborhood market. It’s very condensed inside, but I have to say for convenience I might give it 5-stars. Maybe Target might want to look into having these in other neighborhoods. It’s 2 floors and packed tightly but I like that it had everything you would see in Target.
They have pretty much all the essentials, but the self-checkout line is frequently long and wraps all the way back to the milk/beer. They should reduce the clothes section (which is barely used comparatively) to just the basics (small selection of socks, underwear, undershirts) and add more self-checkouts. Either that, or they need to get better self-checkout machines – today 5/6 were simultaneously not working.
Very friendly and caring staff. Superb customer service.
Not much selection in the store at all. Produce section is scarce. They never seem to be in stock of really anything. Lately the self checkout doesn’t take cash and they don’t have many cashiers on duty. Not the place to buy much of anything - just the basics.
Customer service was perfect, top notch, her professional demeanour was impecable. I am a senior citizen with Parkinsons disease, and I totally appreciate the incredible kindness of BETSY. I told this experience to her manager, and he was delighted to take notice of it. In my building (a senior complex around the corner from Target), several customers are applauding the same attitude delivered to us by Betsy. She is a ray of light for your business because no everybody is good. Let her know this testimony of appreciation. Thank you.
Enrich goods and suitable price
The location and the customer service. L/Y is a really great employee. We were having trouble with an item and she was very kind enough to help us out. I am so pleased with her assistance. She made my day better, even though she didn’t have to. She was also very kind while helping us.
The sales person was not welcoming at all
Just moved to Cambridge and went to this Target for school supplies. Its the smallest Target i had ever seen. The staff were extremely helpful tho, they helped me find exactly what I needed. When I went to checkout there was a really long line. A young man however, wore a name tag that said AK, made a makeshift checkout next to the line and kindly asked if I was paying with a debit or credit card. Within minutes of saying yes, I had my receipt, my items in a bag, and walking out of the store satisfied. Definitely will be returning.
Great place and excellent service. Thanks 🤗 her name is sharlien she is great costumer service.
One of the worst Targets in the country. Staff here are not only indifferent, but hostile. A lady asked an employee nicely if she knows where the restroom is. She replied without looking at her, No. I asked the same employee, Are there larger sizes of the shoes? No. Will you be getting more shoes? No. Could you tell me anything about your shoes? No. Do you know... Then she interrupted and yelled at me, a customer, Do you know about shoes? I reported these to the manager, who gave me a cold look and said, thanks for letting me know, before walking away.
I made a trip to the Harvard Target so I could act mature and respect the locals.
Employees are really nice, but the itself lacks many items.
ALL of the people on staff here are kind, helpful, and remember me. The store had a great selection of stuff and decent prices. But the people make that stores. Love them!
My shopping trip went smoothly. I was elated when I found bottles of hydrogen peroxide on the shelf and took one. Thank you for restocking something hard to get since the pandemic began.
Always out of stock of food items
Sharlien was VERY helpful to me in this (Cambridge) location. Kudos
This is a Target Express with some of the best employees. Michelle and Quincy are super sweet. I come here for my main staples of groceries on the way home from work every day. Its a great place.
Prices, and good customer service
It is not the almost perfect Watertown store on Arsenal Street, however, it has a good supply of what people need in a rush to get home. And most important to people today, Targets policy of providing extremely polite and helpful staff, always offering to find for shoppers what they are looking for and to even carry heavy items to the cashiers for shoppers is worthy of four stars. I have not found any rudeness or scare tactics in this store.
Great selection of clearance items
It’s at convenient location but Make sure you double check your prices. The computer scanner will scan your price twice if you’re not fast enough or the prices are not accurate. I got charge one bag of potato pop for the price of two. Next day the price went up and I complain to the manager and he say he can’t do anything about it that we should complain last night. What’s the service!?
Been living in the area for about 2 years now, this Target is never completely stocked up, so when I make grocery runs to get what I need, I always have to return sporadically throughout the week to get everything on my list, which is the biggest inconvenience when you dont have a lot of time. Last time I went in, the entire meat section was blocked off, so there goes all my meal prep plans.Credit where credit is due, the staff is alway, ALWAYS extremely friendly and helpful!
I can find almost everything here. Its a good place for one stop shopping. Prices are very competitive and and because of convenience I go to this store.
Good range of products, including good grocery selection. hardware, school supplies, a bit of everything and clothing too.
Small pop-up store in the hear of Central Square Cambridge so location is good. It is right in front of the Red Line. The selection is obviously very limited compared to the traditional Target stores. Think smaller everything. The nice part is that they do carry some produce, dairy, and bread. However, they do have much competition in this area with Whole Foods, H Mart, and a local market.
Definitely not a family target. More for college area students. If youre looking for kid stuff go to a different target. The staff is friendly and the food mart here is great. Update *4/27 they added a childrens spot in clothing and for diapers (Still small). The checkout wait is always long.
I used to like this store but lately they are out of a lot of basic baking staples like granulated sugar, shortening and cocoa powder. I get that a small store like this can’t carry everything but we should be able to count on them for basic staple items!
New store, new feel, well stocked. Nice location for walkers and near public transportation so buy what you can carry by hand. Good luck on finding a close parking spot.
In spite of myself, I shop at this target every once in a while out of convenience. However, the selection is very limited compared to your average Target. This is largely due to the fact that half the top floor is grocery - despite the FOUR grocery stores within walking distance of this location. Alas, nobody else around has home goods and electronics, so I really cant complain.
They have very limited stock and basically sell the same things that are available elsewhere in the neighborhood. Why not offer items not available in the surrounding stores? Also the floor plan could be much more compact in order to offer more items.
Very convenient to those who are on a hurry. Target got all the basic groceries and a little bit of everything in this bright, organized new location. Having Market Pantry items makes this store a winner.
Average-quality Target, but a little on the smaller side, despite being spread out on a ground floor and in a basement. As it serves the Central Square neighborhood of Cambridge, its offerings are catered to students and convenience. You are not going to set up your apartment here. Parking is challenging in Cambridge, but this location is right next to the MBTA red line Central Square subway station.
The self-checkout machines dont scan everything properly, so I recommend just going to the cashiers to save yourself frustration. This is an urban Target, two stories, with food and clothing on the top floor and skincare and other goods on the bottom floor. Other goods are offered, thats just all I come here for. Has a lot of party supplies for some reason.
Fake security at front let a pretty young lady and a young dude shop during elderly hour and denied entry to me and my friend ???? Wasnt the first funny incident ... The store is trash honeslty .
I went to Target for the first time today to get some speakers that I found on the website. I went out of my way there to find out they don’t have them. After that I begin to wonder why the website said that specific Target had them in stock. So asked the people and they said they don’t. Then I asked if they could ship in one for me because I didn’t want to pay for ordering it online and they said no. Finally I went to the Target in Porter and they said that the people were able to order it. I had to Endor going out of my way and for what a Target that couldn’t even help me. This has really made me think that this will be my first and last time at Target. I say to all who are in need of stuff go to Best Buy for electronics, and Micheals for any arts and house needs. ( The price ranges are similar and they have more and better options).
Hi, I am very disappointed to pick up the Blue Lizard Sensitive sunscreen which I order online. I did not checked the product at the moment I picked up at Target Cambridge, the product I ordered should be Blue Lizard Sensitive sunscreen in New Design (New bottle & New box), the product I collected is package in New Box no doubt, but the bottle is in Old Design (OLD BOTTLE), too disappointed to collect a product with conflict packaging, and it is not returnable, so sad!
I chose cash back and forgot to take the cash. I realized my mistake and returned within 2 minutes. The money wasnt at the machine, WHICH HAD MADE NO NOISE TO ALERT ME TO MY ERROR. The security guard checked the footage and discovered that the customer after me had, with no reason to think the cash was his or hers, pocketed it. The security guard also said it was pretty much my problem. I get that the mistake was mine, but you see the remark in caps? I will never shop at that or any other Target again.
Theyre disorganized, untrustworthy(stab you in the back company!)
Very nice to have in Central for errands as a clean alternative to CVS and a cheaper alternative to quick trips to the little grocery stores. The store is relatively new, and has a nice selection of goods, but they do appear to still be working out their restocking routines as some shelves have been a bit bare for a day or two.
Its a great place to shop
Honestly, my poor review is because I am so used to the experience of all the other targets in the area. This is a very small and limited selection Target. Aisles are narrow so there arent full on carts to use. When I went to this location the stock was in disarray. Its not bad for the students in the area but for someone who shops at the bigger Targets it was a very underwhelming experience.
Small place, but I was still able to find work appropriate clothes here. There is a quick checkout.
The staff was very warm and friendly. They did their best to help me.
This target stinks. It just opened and I went to check it out. There are NO sales so dont plan on any money savings. The reason I dont like it is because the space isnt big enough for a target they have a great grocery section but they dont sale a lot of things regular targets have so if you are going there for something you know other targets will have dont bet on this target having it. Id call ahead if your not sure. Its in a GREAT location if your on foot. My boyfriend couldnt come in since he couldnt find parking and just drove around. I would suggest the arsenal st. Target not to far from it via car or bus.
I like to place its in a good location but the checkout could be bigger help could be better they should hire more workers help people find things sometimes you cant find who works there to help
Pretty small, doesnt have a large selection of items. Good for groceries or other common items though, and so far cheaper than the other grocery stores in the area.
Competitive pricing. good customer service
Has great items an now has self check out which makes things easier
Many items out of stock. Rude and awful customer service even by NYC standards. I know that this is a result of the booming economy- White hot demand for most items
You can find the simple things yo are looking for. I would love they could have more staff. But... Its ok.
Always out of eggs by the time im able to go, when I search a product on Google its listed cheaper on Targets site than I get here
This store opened only a couple of months back. Friendly staff. It is a good store and you can find multiple things but its way way smaller than the Target in Watertown.
Just ghetto. Who decided to put a Target in one of the worst areas of Cambridge?
Brand new two-story Target. Went for the grand opening and was delighted to be greeted with free cookies and brownies.
Its a good store, a little small though. They dont have much of a variety of items
Great little spot to shop at when your just strolling around central square, not alot of variety but great selections so it makes up for it
They didnt process mobile returns
I like the place and price, but most of the time the say one price at the shelves and different while scanning. I feel cheated. And today the sales rep didn’t even cared enough to double check. She just voided the items and took it away.
Great location & all items price are reasonable..
Overall pretty good.
Its a Target but its in the city. Oddly lacking in the food department which is fine because Harvest Co-op is next door.
Very convenient to public transportation and lots of other area stores.
Extremely small location that doesn’t have a lot toOffer. Not my favorite target but the staff was friendly and helpful.
One of my favorites to buy
Convenient, but more expensive than the larger Target on the other side of Cambridge.
Brand new and a bit small for a target, but very organized
Great store, size limits selection, good for most of the essentials, and has grocery
Small, there arent plenty products in here, specially is Clothes and tech products (limited). There is 1 fitting room that you have to call staff so they can open it by keys for you. And then they will stand outside, take care of your stuff and wait for you come out so they can lock the room again. I felt uncomfortable with that.
Great selection, low prices, and a good bulk section. Has a self checkout option.
A solid city Target. Good variety for its size.
Small supermarket for students good assortment
Kinda small was able to get some things, still had to go to a regular target to get my water pitcher
Well organized, decent market, good prices. Whats not to love.
Express store. Good stop for daily needs.
Best place for a grab-n-go
New shiny 2 floors shop with everything
I love it now i have a target near me
Friendly courteous service clean stores have a variety of things prices are reasonable. Like it.
Has a variety of useful products, such as food, shampoo, fans and clothes. The staff are friendly.
Great location, small but full featured
Great store i like it as a customer
It was a fast and easy place to get to
Target meets cvs would best describe it
Good selection of food, other items (little pricey). The self checkout machines seem to be always out of order.
Opened recently. Its bigger than it looks from the outside. Two floors
Great help from customer service!
This target needs to get it together in terms of customer service. Dont bother asking an employee for help, youll end up getting a dirty look and no assistance.
Terrible service No professional staff
