The food is amazing & I loved how many options you had for building your own burger! Its hard to find actually delicious vegan/vegetarian options, but this menu was amazing. We ate on their very small patio. But, as the name suggests, you open a door on the sidewalk and head down the stairs to the basement for the restaurant if you want to eat inside!

Very nice burger place. As the name implies, you walk down the stairs to get to the restaurant. The waiters were very nice and the food was tasty. I recommend eating here.

VERY VERY SLOW. I ordered a medium rare burger w bacon. When we finally received our food (35 min), they subbed my bacon with onions and my burger was so dry that William Shatner could have taken it to space with him. Last time I go here for my burger fix. Our waiter was great he flat out told us if we need him to flag him down. He never came back to the table unless we summoned him.

The food was average. I liked that you can custom make your burger. The service was the killer for the experience for me. Our server barely spent a minute with us and just seemed uninterested in serving my friend and I. My friend ordered a double shot of rum and still had some left in the glass while we were eating and our waitress took the glass from him so we had to complain and let her know we weren’t done with it. Seems pretty rude to just assume we were done when there was still rum in the glass. I want to try this place again because the vibe was good, maybe the wait staff was just having an off day.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants. I got here regularly now for the burgers and appetizers. The mac and cheese bites are to die for, and the sliders are so good! Try a build your own burger or salad and you will love it. Recommended for everyone, vegetarian options here are delicious too. Great place!

Nice family place. Cozy and snug. Lively and yet could have conversations.It’s not as loud. Loved the fact that they had customized burgers. Impossible was good! Took beer battered fries but they weren’t as great as hop cat. But this place over all is amazing!

This used to be our go to place for burgers but the last couple of times they have been very disappointing. We ordered a medium well burger for my husband and it was medium rare. I had ordered a well done burger for my toddler. I cut into the beef and it was RARE. Like completely RAW in the middle. I had to cook it in a skillet before offering it to him. Their beef did not have a good flavor. My chicken salad was super sloppy with a huge cuts of lettuce and the chicken breast was undercooked.Will not be trying them again for a very long time

Great atmosphere. Our waiters name was Heath, good looking fellow with glasses and a bright personality. He was basically what I would describe as a perfect waiter. Was not too expensive and the food was 10/10. It was closed when I went but there is an arcade bar above this location which looked awesome. Will 100% be coming back.

I have been going to BBB literally for years since they opened. Ive been to all of their locations and appreciate that they all seem to have their own separate personalities.I hadnt been to this location in well over a year due to going to other locations and then the pandemic hit. Went back to visit the original today and was delighted to see that they have outdoor seating. Also the food is still just as delicious as ever. My server was great and very personable. It was a great overall experience and as long as the weather is good Im looking forward to coming back again soon.

The burgers are delicious. No real need to add a second patty. The patties are large. The cinnamon sugar butter for the sweet potato fries was fantastic.

The Brow salad is amazing! It was the most flavorful freshest salad I have tasted from a restaurant in ages! I would highly recommend it. I had mine with ranch instead of the Bleu cheese dressing 🥰

Would recommend everyone try it!Only wish they had handicap accessibility for wheelchair bound citizens! Must be able to walk down a flight of stairs to get to this location...Disappointed with my last visit, placed a pick up order at this location; cook order was off: medium well not medium rare, no extra chipotle mayo, soggy/soft tater tots ... Still a great location but hoping that the orders are placed as is if the order is to go per covid restrictions...Again, my order was placed, incorrect preparation. Missing 1/4 of the order. The rest of the food was looking great, but the messed up order put a dent in our date night. I calmly explained the issue and concern to Dom and requested that the order just be remade and the food can be exchanged so that it will all be fresh to be eaten together. Since the second order of food was made fresh and tasted amazing, I have adjusted my review back to 5 stars as they are willing to make right by the customer when mistakes are made. Note: Dom was amazingly nice and made sure everything was correct. A female coworker who originally answered the phone was rude about speaking to a manager because it was a dinner rush and was observed being rude to another customer waiting for a pick up order... She should realize that an online order with tip does not receive the customer service they tip for/should be grateful... Overall: Dom seems to be an ideal candidate for promotion towards management! I appreciate his help in making our date night better, especially because I cant go out due to a back injury from working in EMS.Again, thank you so much, Dom! I really appreciate your quality service and making my night better!

My sister and I had a wonderful experience starting with the staff very friendly and ending with the most delicious vegan burger I’ve ever had. I chose to create my own burger. As I selected the option of well done, after taking two bites of my burger, there was pink in the middle. I alerted the manager and they offered to DISASSEMBLE my burger, take the patty off and put it back on the grill. I found this to be extremely disgusting and unprofessional. There should definitely be guidelines that go against this.

This is the original Basement Burger Bar and I personally think, its the nicest. You have the full control of your burger. Select your favorite kind of meat or choose a substitute like mashed means. You can choose between 5 different kinds of buns. Then choose favorite kind of cheese and your other ingredients. Finally complete your menu with a delicious side and load it up. A great place to grab a bite to eat in Downtown Farmington. The burgers are amazing, and they have tons of toppings to choose from. And after dinner there is an arcade upstairs that is super fun.

I wonder if they just gave us two ground beef burgers instead of one ground beef and one bison.The avocado burger was uninspiring.The nutty berry salad had walnuts that were rancid. If not for the rancid walnuts, the salad would have been good.The beet salad was good.The staff at the restaurant were efficient and polite. However, the staff on the phone for takeout order was a bit rude. They could have been in a rush, the place was busy.Overall a mixed bag. Stick with Ground beef burgers.

I love BBB but today was by far the worst experience Ive ever had with the chain. My boyfriend and I came in for happy hour to treat ourselves after a long week. We asked to be seated at a low table and I pointed to one that was free. The lady that greeted me said that it would be a 10 minute wait and asked us to sit down and wait towards the back or go back upstairs and wait there. We waited towards the back. Immediately a man came over and wiped down the table and another server finished setting it up. We still had to sit and wait for the first woman to finish talking to be sat at the original table I pointed out and no one else was asked to wait. It does not take 10 minutes to wipe a cleared 4 top down.We ordered drinks. The sierra mist was carbonated water. We ordered appetizers, burgers and sides. Nothing was hot except for the pretzels. The totchos I ordered came out cold, no pulled pork or side of olives as requested. Pretzels were piping hot and delicious. Burgers and sides came out cold as well. Everything was cold and inedible so we just asked for boxes so we could heat everything properly and try to salvage our date at home. I feel like I paid $70.00 to cook my own food. Our server seemed annoyed but she was also playing waitress, bartender and food runner.P.S. The tiny baby straws were comical. No one could pick up a box of straws from the grocery store? GFS? When we asked for refills on the strawberry lemonades the guy asked for our cups back while I was still finishing mine. He refilled them in the exact same cups but didnt leave us new straws. Five minutes into drinking, my boyfriend finds his original baby straw further down in the cup. It was very unsanitary especially during covid. Ive never been to a restaurant that didnt bring a new cup. I would not return to this location.

This place was ok. I expected the taste to be better than it actually was. I ordered a lot of extra toppings for my burger but didn’t receive much when it came to portion sizes. For example, I added some avocado and seemed to receive barely half a spoonful spread across the top bun. For as much as they charge for toppings, I was expecting to have more than that. I ordered my burger to be medium well and my boyfriend ordered his medium. My patty was well done and his was medium well so that was a definite let down. However, the lemontini & Greektown fries were delicious. Not sure if I would come back here though.

Im a big fan of the Detroit and Canton locations so I stopped by this one. Service was good, buffalo tots were good, but the burger was not. My pretzel bun was hard and cold, like they just took it out of the fridge before assembly. I ordered carmelized onions and got way too much of soggy, floppy onion pieces. I ordered the beef Patty medium well but it was well done to the consistency of meatloaf. This is my go-to burger choice at the other locations but I found this one to be inedible. Hoping this was just an off day, because the other locations have been great every time.

There’s nothing quite like the build-your-own-burger style and selection of Basement Burger Bar. My personal favorite is a twist on the classic cowboy burger, adding dried cranberries and spring mix. You can’t go wrong adding a side of the crispiest tots with cheddar sauce. If the food wasn’t enough, the staff is beyond friendly and the underground vibe makes for a great evening with friends.

OMG what a tasty burger. I built my own Burger the basically became a Buffalo Mushroom and Swiss burger on a Pretzel bun. It was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive to us and I had a great time. Definitely worth going back when back in the area again.

I am conflicted as I write this review. The last 2 weeks my daughter and I have enjoyed a couple good meals. The food was amazing. The service was on point, and the atmosphere out back on their makeshift patio was awesome. Then tonight happened......Once again my daughter and I were back for what we knew was gonna be another good meal. We were meeting a couple other individuals and were looking forward to a nice family meal. Just as previously my daughter and I go inside and wait to get seated. when approached we let the gentleman that took us to our table know that we would be a total of 4 and would like to sit outside. As was different that previous visits there was the nice addition of live music. By the way, the music was fantastic. The guy had great voice, sang some great songs and played a great guitar. After sitting for a few minutes my daughter and I are ready to order a couple drinks and an appetizer as we wait for the other two to arrive. As a side note there were still several empty tables available. I ordered a beer, my daughter a soda and an appetizer. it is at this point that we are informed that only 21 and older is allowed out on the back patio area in the first place.Shocked, in a bit of disbelief we agreed to leave and go down the street to another establishment. On the way out of the restaurant we ran into the fine young man that took care of us the first two times we were there. He asked how we were doing in passing and was also a bit in disbelief of what happened.As good as the 1st 2 visits were this moment did a lot to make me rethink my choices in which local restaurants I throw my support to.Big time lost opportunity.

Ordered a band wagon burger. They forgot the actual burger patty.Gave it a second chance. Ordered 2 medium rare burgers and one rare on brioche buns. All came well done on regular buns.

Have been buying wings from here for a year. And today they gave almost half the wings in half the size. Compared to the regular wings its not even half the size. I dont know what happened today. Hope they do a better job next time

Came here to dine in. Sat outside in the parking lot area they have set up. Seemed cool till we sat down and it all went bad. First off people bring large dogs here and the dogs are at the tables. The waitresses PET the dogs then serve you your food. How disgusting. Our “waiter” was absolutely horrible. Has to wave him down for everything. The staff is more concerned with talking with friends than actually doing their job. Our entree came out before our appetizers. We waited 30 minutes for our food and it was wrong. Waiter didn’t care to make anything right we left. Went somewhere else to eat. Was disgusted by this place.
