Worth the drive. Selections vary, but make sure to check your measurements for what you need. I forgot... so I love that they will hold your selections for 48 hours so you can confirm. I called in and made my purchase. Very helpful employees!!

This is an excellent store for building supplies. I got a barn door slab that needs a little rehab but is still fantastic. It is about an hour drive for me but was worth it!

Though McCarrens has a great reputation, Ive never needed to visit them until today when we went looking for kitchen cabinets. We were immediately greeted and walked to the section we needed to be in. Though we were in the preliminary stage of looking, the team member patiently answered our questions and talked us through everything. Absolutely top notch experience!

I was very excited to be able to help out a local company, I asked before entering if my family and I would be refused service if we didnt wear a mask - they said no with some hesitation. I went and collected my family from my vehicle, we walked in and were refused service. Im very disappointed with the way this was handled. Such a shame with local business struggling.

Very friendly.They have a pretty good variety to choose from and their prices are very fair.Definitely stop in if youre looking to update your bathroom(s), kitchen, windows, or doors. The prices are amazing. They have good quality windows and doors. They get new stuff in all the time. One door I purchased for $280 was over $720 for the same door at home depot. If you do buy something and return it they only offer store credit so keep that in mind. The staff were extremely helpful and are willing to hold items till you can pick them up. Definitely worth checking out.

Great price on two solid barn doors, this surplus store saved us over $300 compared to buying the exact same doors thru Home Depot. They also accept all credit cards and load purchases into vehicle with helpful staff. To save even more, Amazon has awesome industrial wheel hardware with 13ft track system for about $150.

I have shopped here several times and had mostly good experiences except for the last one. I purchased a couple items on a Saturday and went back on Sunday to pick them up. Two employees loaded one of the items carefully into my vehicle, another employee was getting ready to load the second into my vehicle. One of his fellow employees asked if he needed a hand to which he replied that he did not. While loading it in he dented my vehicle at the door opening finished up and walked back in as if nothing happened. I looked at the damage and went inside to talk with someone about it. The employee I spoke to got the person who loaded it into my vehicle and we went out to look at the damage. He then told me that the service of him loading items into my vehicle was something that he was not liable for if any damages should occur and then commented that I was there watching him and did not offer to help making it my fault even though another employee asked if he needed help which he declined. He then took my information and assured me that someone would contact me about the matter. I have not received a call from anyone and even called in to speak to the owner or manager of which neither was available. I left my name and number a second time and still have not received a call back. With no signs stating anything about not being responsible for damages seen or pointed out to me and no calls being returned I will not be going back for any future needs.

I purchased a barn door and hardware. The salesman who helped me seemed knowledgeable and assured me that the hardware and door would word together. When my contractor tried to install it.....none of the pieces matched up. Called Mccarrens...said...oh too bad...we can take it back for a 25% restock fee...yeah we know it was our fault..sucks for you...FIRST and LAST time I will ever go there. Buyer Beware!I would have given them no stars...but had to give them one so this would post.

Call ahead to check if they have the window size you need before paying triple at competition, they keep an updated/organized inventory of their stock. We have purchased windows a half dozen times and even an unusual size bathroom sink for $50 that competitors were asking $120.

Great place to get doors, at a good price.

Purchased a double door with panic bar hardware a few months ago & was told to my face that all of the hardware was in the sealed box that came with the door. 1/4 of the hardware was missing & none of the parts can be ordered. After doing a little research, the hardware was not rated for this type of door either - screws pull off the door. After close inspection, the door had a lot of repairs from someone trying to make this hardware work right. Hardware is rated for commercial steel doors. Door is already installed & now I am forced to buy a whole new set of hardware. Would have been better off buying everything brand new somewhere else. Ridiculous restocking fees at this place - TOTAL RIP OFF - TOTAL WASTE of $750+. AVOID THIS PLACE

We recently remodeled our kitchen using cabinets and counter tops from mccarrens. we took our dementions for our kitchen down and they ordered our cabinets. the cabinets all came in on time when they said they would. we picked up cabinets and brought back to our house for installation. while install them we discovered that they had shorted us one cabinet. i called down and told them they had shorted us a cabinet. after assuring me it wasnt there but i insisted that they should check they called me back and said it was forgetten about in their warehouse and i would have to come down and get it. i went down picked it up then installed the last cabinet. i measured for counter tops and then called back down to mccarrens and ordered the counter tops then as well. i picked them up two weeks later when the came in. installed the counter tops and within 5 days one of the counter top splices started to separate. (this was one of the splices they had put together at the place mccarrens gets their counter tops from) i called and complained and they sent somebody out and they told us it was water damage and was our fault and not the manufactures fault! after discussing the issue with mccarrens and the manufacture they decided to split the price of another new counter top three way! our split in thirds was still $389. so after spending $1160 with them already for counter tops they wanted me to pay more even though it was just down right poor quality. the employee at mccarrens are great but this situation was just unexceptable.
