Karns is kinda on the expensive side. If you shop at karns your better off trying to get the deals. 3/9 4/10. Deals like that. This karns is pretty clean. Not really busy. Check out was very painless. Lady was very polite. Fast too. Prices are high. Like I mentioned at the beginning. Bakery was horrible when I was there. 8/6/21.. pretty much nothing in there. They definitely need to step there bakery up.

We shop here when we have to because it’s the closest grocery store to our home. It’s a shame that the quality of the food here is so bad because the location is convenient for us.One one occasion we purchased about a dozen peaches from here and they all had worms inside (no visible entry points or signs of spoilage on the outside of the peaches). All of their produce seems to be poor quality and very low selection.On another occasion I purchased a premade pretzel bun sandwich that looked delicious. The meat and cheese was almost flavorless and the bun was completely soggy.On another occasion I purchased a cookies and cream fudge. It had a bad aftertaste and didn’t taste like fudge at all. It tasted like it was made using synthetic ingredients. The whole bakery section seems to be low quality products.The product brands that this store carries all seem to be very low quality and many just taste bad.In addition, this is the most expensive grocery store I have seen since we moved to PA. Even more expensive than wegmanns which is known for its high quality and top notch brands.Looking at all the 5 star reviews on here and the way they are written my assumption is that many if not most of them are karns employees who are encouraged to give a 5 star review to each karma foods location in order to bring up the google review ratings.

Hi recently went to karns at boiling spring carlisle not my regular go to store but had to grab a last min couple of things greeted the employee who was self checking gave me strange looks and didnt respond,had to self check out and was having some trouble but the other employee kept sitting didnt bother to even help,poor customer service.very disappointed wont be going again

Karns is a place Im always happy to shop. Things are so fresh and organized. The staff is always pleasant and willing to assist. We even tried their Plain Fried Chicken today and it was great!. Ive been to three locations and have always had the same experience.

Those who really know me, know how much I love supermarkets. I know... Im kind of a weird guy that way... So...Karns is about 35 minutes from me, but Ill come up to Karns because they are built the way I like to shop.What I really come to Karns for, however, is their hot foods! If youre in the area, and you like chicken tenders, drop everything and get there!! Im telling you this... You will never find chicken thats better than the chicken at Karns!

I got to say its and awesome grocery store best cut of meat and comidates to there customers to cuts of meats seafood and sandwhich meats is amazing. I am a truck driver I always stop there and of any military personnel off the barracks should. You wont complain with there hospitality or there quality of products. I live in floridaand our our markets grocery store suck i always brag and wish they would open one down south thanks yall for your great store walmart might as well learn from and actual grocery store.

As far as I know you need a mask to enter and shop. There are always people shopping here without a mask. When I entered the kind employee at the door offer a man a mask, who wasnt wearing one, he said no and proceed to shop in the store. Social distancing and no mask violations.

I love Karns meats. Only place I will get my meat been that way since I was a kid like 50 yrs ago. People are nice 👌

Love Karns but a little upset that an employee chose to Mask Shame me for what they considered a not proper mask. I have COPD and am exempt but wear one so as not to cause issues. I really dont need your employees giving me a hard time. Will NOT be shopping in that location again anytime soon. Get your house in order

First time going there. Im visiting the area. All I can say is it is a total shame that we dont have one of these where I live. The selection is amazing. Their meat and deli dept is amazing and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Definitely 5 stars and two thumbs up.

Ive always wondered why every karns smells like the same poorly maintained fishing dock. Found out their sushi shop just got thrown out of compliance with food and safety regulations:TTT STAR SUSHI @ KARNS1706 Spring Road, CarlisleDate: Jan. 14, 2021Type: RegularCompliance: OutViolations:--The Person in Charge does not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection.--PIC stated sell by dates are changed after 3 hours. Sushi is for sale for more than 24 hours. Labeling of ingredients and sub-ingredients is required.--Facility did not have a pH meter and calibration solutions at time of inspection. PH log and temperature log has not been recorded since 10/7/2020.

Needed to return food that had a recall. They were so, so nice and returned it without any hassle and issues a gift card. Love this store!

Even during the pandemic, Karns is still coming through with plenty of meat and surprisingly, many cleaning and disinfecting supplies other major retailers are out. On 05/21/21 I was able to buy disinfectant wipes!!!! 🤩They have also been a great source for toilet paper, paper towels, laundry sanitizer, and dog treats. Thanks Karns!

Love the convenience and location. Bought the 10lb hamburger special. It’ll be the last time. Smelled spoiled. The workers are very helpful and friendly though. I’ll just be buying my hamburger elsewhere. It’s expensive throwing out over $50 in meat at this time. 😕

Worst experience ever. As my son an I purchased our food we went back in to grab some other items we get stopped at the register by an older gentleman grabbed a wrapper out of my son pocket right behind me. Accusing him of stealing as we clearly paid for it. Embarrassing us. An clearly finds out we did.

The Karns meat department is legendary. Their quality is absolutely the best, but if you are savvy, they can also be a great deal. Ive gotten chicken wings, bacon ends, and veggies for super cheap (just have to watch for the sales.)Above all, I love their support of PA producers. They stock a ton of local products and produce. From canned beans to hot sauce to fresh mushrooms, I bought a lot of Pennsylvanian goods in my last shopping trip.

We have been buying our meats in bulk and fresh seafood from Karns for 25+years and have never had anything bad. Just had their special on sale, clams and oysters. Delicious and fresh.

A smaller Supermarket than Giant. Better meats, more varied deli. Good produce and EXCELLENT baked goods. A little pricier on some items, but good value.

Seems to be a cleaner than most, but the girl at customer service, would have been better off in an area that did not deal with people. She didnt seem very fitted for a service job, and all I wanted was a can of chew. Sorry I made you get off your phone and do your job, but to then give me attitude about it.... unexcused.

I love the meat and seafood counter. I love the cashier service instead of self-checkout, although they do have self-checkout stations. They have a decent produce section, usually carrying seasonal fruits. I have never had a problem with their fresh vegetables going bad a day after purchase. I do not like the way the deli counter pre-slices the meat and lets it sit waiting for you to come by and order it. Not as large as big- name food stores--they do have a nice selection of products, but if you are looking for a specific recipe item, you may have to look elsewhere. Over all, they are a great neighborhood food store with good deals.

Clean store, have someone at front entrance offering sanitizing wipes for carts etc. Asked an employee about Apple Valley creamery chocolate milk as we saw the truck in the parking lot but shelves were empty he went back and got it for us.

His meat prices are a little high for us seniors on a fixed income. I was promised a good chunk of meat. 3.00$ per lb. weight would be 25 lbs. Ya right. I hate stores that take advantage of us!!! Only reason I still shop their is convenience. NELLS WAS BETTER BY FAR!!!!

I think any of the Karns stores are great!!! Ive experienced friendly service at all of the Karns locations. The meat is the freshest and best around for the price. I will always get my meats at Karns, because I know where it comes from and have never had any issues with anything. Keep up the great work and service!

Referencing my most recent experience on 04/28/21. As I was shopping, several times, I heard employees in the Meat Dept drop the f bomb (several times), while talking to each other. I was over halfway up the aisle and was able to hear this! A few aisles later, I was passed by 2 employees having a conversation and again this word was dropped. I work with the public, and I can guarantee my employer would not be happy if I used this language while a customer is in earshot.I wasnt offended, just thought Karns should be aware.

A lot of the items I use were not available, many products I use had empty spots.

Great place for meat and seafood way above average. Groceries is average. But typically less crowded so great for quick shopping.

The lady at the deli was not very friendly. Thought we were crazy when we asked for bologna that was not Lebanon sweet. The isles are to skinny and people run you over. The cashier was super friendly. I dislike the way the receipts are printed. The parking lot is also a bad lay out and hard to get in and out of. The prices are also not good to high. I will be shopping a different place.

Im always torn about Karns in general, no matter which store. I only go for the meat dept, but will pick up sale items only in addition because non-sale prices are too high. This visit ended with a bad cashier experience that I will attribute to the youth of today.If you want great meat selections and prices, stop in. For everything else, shop Giant or Walmart.

Fast forward this review about one year to February 26, 2020: Karns, please watch your grocery pricing (it goes without saying that your meat department is sublime and among the best anywhere). However, I visited your Spring Road store this month and a 12-pack of Coca-Cola Classic cost $7.41 — even if one is flush with cash, that pricing is a dollar too far. Ive also heard several folks say that Karns general grocery pricing has been creeping higher. Hey, I love you guys! Just trying to offer constructive feedback.
