Fantastic experience with Wengers catering our daughters wedding. We had appetizers and dinner, and the food, presentation, and waitstaff were all excellent. Everything was delicious, but the steamship round of beef was incredible! One of our guests told us it was the best beef shed ever eaten, and we agree.

This place is top notch and a one stop shop! Excellent variety of Fresh quality meats, local treats, and deli for tasty home made meals. The staff is all beyond friendly and very helpful. Also one of the very few places in PA with dry ice. Highly recommend this gem!

My first time at Wengers Meats.The meat selection was outstanding and very fresh looking. Nice sized crab cakes and a good selection of sides.The chicken that was roasting, fill the store with that wonderful smell.Bonus..if you pay with cash, you get 2% off your total.

Brad was extremely helpful with my order. Very good selection of meats, soups, snacks and other items. They also offer hot and cold subs/sandwiches.

These guys will go far above and beyond for the customer. I only got Dry Ice but who literally the only place in PA that has it in the weekends. And at a better price(on weekdays too)

Great place for meats, cheeses etc. For the last few days Ive tried to access the website specifically to see what is on the hotbar. This function is not available. Hopefully this can be fixed. I used that function quite often.

We just moved to the area and today was our first time at Wenger. I had an Italian sub and as a New Yorker by birth, we are VERY particular about our Italian subs...it was GREAT!We cant wait to come back!

Dont listen to the people giving bad reviews. Ive never had a problem here. It probably helps that the man who runs it goes to my church, but he treats everyone well. My favorite is chili dogs without cheese. Their beans are kinda weird tasting, but most people seem to like them. Excellent place, with excellent service. I like to pick something up from the shop inside to complement the meal.

Absolutely no social distancing or masks where worn by customers. I was waiting for my food and their was a group of men hovering over the hot bar with no masks on. Will not return.

Very best meat market around! Their ham loaf mix is best Ive ever had. They also sell good milk in glass bottles from a local creamery. You can also get dried pigs ears and beef bones for your dog at much better prices than the pet store. Theres excellent prepared food and deli items and soup and a place to sit and eat. Far better lunch break spot than a fast food joint!

Okay, so when your looking for some home cooked food, or amazing tater salad, this is the place to go. I make it a point to go at least three times a year for one thing.....The most amazing Cheese steak sub in pa. People from out of town travel to get here because of this unique sub. Its marinated, real steak strips, with the fixins if you want. The best part about these are that, you actually ruin the flavor if you put sauce on it. they are that good.

Always good to have decent food. Beats fast food any day and I loovve the pecan pies. N I love when they have the beef brisket special. A small place with a decent selection of food. Also sale all types of meat and meat bundle choices

Pennsylvania has that everyone is to be wearing a mask when you leave home. Employees at Wengers had NO masks on when we were in the store.

This place is a haven for comfort food, and good home cooked...well everything. They will treat you right, and they will make you feel comfortable. Most of the people that gave this 1 star are people who arent used to being treated like a family member form businesses. They joke around alot and carry on and generally have a good time.

I was here for the first time today. I had their BBQ ribs for lunch at home, which were tasty and tender. (Although I added some apple cider vinegar to it since I crave that.) Later I enjoyed part of the very hefty salad they had prepared. It had great variety and was only $2.49. They also have milk, half & half, and cream in glass bottles, including raw milk. Ive written about only a few of the items on sale at this local business. If you are in Carlisle, I think it will be well worth your while to check out Wengers. By the way, the service was excellent. The one negative is that hot foods should not be placed in the same bag as cold salad for take out.

Came here from out of town for dry ice and stayed for some food unexpectedly. Ill be coming here again. Everyone was very nice.

My sister came from MA for a long weekend. My wife and I ordered a stuffed pork belly from Wengers. Stuffed with sausage, potatoes and cabbage and a little bit of onion. Sis had never eaten it before and took pictures before and after to send to her kids back in MA. Lets just say that going forward, whenever my wife and I head to MA, guess what makes the trip with us.

Wenger’s is truly outstanding in many ways. They have a simple breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg and cheese. It is great! Cooked fresh! Hot bar!! Throwback items stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage and other wonderful comfort food. Sandwich Rye? Marbled Rye? Sub? Very nice sandwich selection and the sandwich makers are good listeners for the demanding sandwich customer. Meat!! Glorious meat!! I like the steaks!! They’ve recently installed refrigerated display case near front door. Quiche, prepared meals, salads, soups and many more.Furry friends? There are nice bones for the furry friends at the checkout. The butchers are good listeners and follow through on special cut requests. The customer service reps are friendly and attentive. I LOVE this place.

My review is regarding my deer processing from last fall. I took my deer in Oct.15. By mid December I called to check on the status. I was asked curtly if I had received a call from them because if not, it wasnt ready. When I explained that it had been 2 months. So they checked and said that they were waiting for the bologna to be smoked. Ok, called again between Christmas and New Years and told the same thing. I questioned this since it was now 2 1/2 months. I was told that they were behind because of their holiday orders and stopped processing deer during that time. WTH, I am a paying customer too and didnt feel like a valued customer. A courtesy call would have been appreciated. Finally got my order this week and thought maybe they would offer a discount due to the length of time it took. Nope. The ironic thing is their sign describing how important their customers are.

I was treated very poorly by the lady (short older lady with short brown hair) upon ordering and the encounter ended with her throwing my to go box of food on the counter. I come to town for business a lot and have heard great things about this place. So I was excited about eating food from there but I left feeling like I don’t need to come back and I won’t. It was some of the worst service I’ve ever received and this lady will bring the business down to the ground if she’s allowed to continue with taking her anger out on customers and act very ugly.

Go for the meat. Amazing quality beef and pork. They also have local grass fed and raw milk.

My family and I ordered a whole hog for our annual pig roast. Brad offered us a hog well over the size originally ordered after he told us he had been processing one closer to the correct size. He quoted us a charcoal price five dollars higher per bag than another employee quoted hours earlier. Needless to say we wont be ordering anything from Brad or Wenger Meat again. Very disappointed in a local business.

Great meat selection and will cut to order

Get lunch here all the time--never seen a place with so much variety in the hot bar day to day, even including delicious thai fish once. Love the grill and the deli, too, and very happy to support a local business. The breakfast sandwiches are hands down the best and know kids at Dickinson thatll go downtown to get one in the morning.

Ordered a turkeducken last year for thanksgiving and it was incredible. So good I just places my order for this year. Great store and great service!

Great food!!! Everything you think of in a deli. Not open for dinner, but the food is great, inexpensive, large. Also had deli with steaks, sausage, pork, etc. the pre-marinated steak look amazing! Highly recommend!!

This is my favorite spot for a breakfast sandwich. Two fried eggs, fresh sausage patty and American cheese on a soft bun, all cooked on a flattop griddle.
