I cant rave enough about Bonnie from Runyon. She went above and beyond to help me with my project. She went out of her way to make sure I got all the equipment I needed. I had several loads of equip delivered. Every person I met from Runyon was friendly and genuine good people. Her team was able to deliver and pick up equipment when promised, and their pricing cant be beat. Runyon took care of me when others couldnt. Highly recommend Runyon and look forward to using them again and again and again!

Rental store in Carmel, some good deals. Remember that they charge by the hours. So one day is 8 hours. They may not tell you about the additional cost.

Great ace to rent tools. The price is sometimes a little high. One tool I rented was 1/3rd the cost of buying the tool new. It was a high quality manufacturer. I could have purchased a cheap tool for the same cost. Otherwise the service is great.

Very helpful and answered my questions about the insulation blower I needed for a DIY project (cheerfully unlike h.d.). It worked very well for the cellulose insulation we bought and it didnt take long at all to finish our project. They even helped load and unload the equipment at the store. Very pleased with my experience, and Ill be back next time we need to rent something.

Runyon is awesome. theyve got pretty much everything youd need. I rent a rotor tiller every year for my garden, and theyre always super friendly. Prices are definitely a good value at least with the rotor tiller rental. Overall Id check them out if renting some heavy equipment.

Worked with a wonderful person named Becky who was kind, helpful and transparent. The whole rental process has been easy and painless and they have now stolen all my business from any large home improvement store moving forward! I cannot recommend them highly enough and I hope you try them out!

WOW!! Just over the top service. On Friday at 4:30 (they close at 5:30) I needed to rent a de-thatcher for my lawn before the rain on Saturday. My plan was to rent it, use it, and return it by closing time. However, I was caught up in Friday traffic and didnt get there until 5:32. I was able to get in the gate and I was expecting to hear some employee tell me that they were closed and Id have to come back tomorrow. But, I was blown away by how welcoming and friendly the staff was. I mean most people are ready to run out the door at closing time especially on a Friday. So thanks to the friendly staff at Runyon Equipment!

The guys at the front desk were able to grind off my broken heavy-duty bike lock off my bike chain today Monday, August 2, 2021. They didnt even charge me for it. I saw my friend Nick, who works here, as well.

We rented a gas powered tool that was very worn (a rep has to break off a part just to make it start and function properly) and the tool performed poorly throughout our project. But upon return we were given a generous credit for our trouble. Fair and reasonable and honest.

Outstanding service!!! We urgently needed a forklift for the weekend. I called at 2:00 pm on Friday and between Tony and Paula they found a way to make it happen. The forklift was delivered by 4:30! I have never run into such extraordinary service and helpfulness!! Excellent company to work with!

Dave in the shop did a phenomenal job.

Needed to rent a forklift; total run time 2 minutes (driving off the trailer, using it to lower one item from the back of the semi and then drove it back onto the trailer). When I returned, they handed me a bill for an extra$50 and said I had to buy a whole tank of propane for them (mind you, I used less than a 1/4lb, I purposely didnt even open the line set during my two mins of use). Even rental car companies arent this corrupt.

The Runyon Team was great to work with! They were able to reserve us the generator in advance so I didn’t worry and had plenty of fans and cords in stock. Customer service was fantastic! I took the truck and went to get the huge fans myself and they were great to work with and helped me load up. Highly recommend Runyon for all your rental needs!

Absolutely love this place I’m a asphalt and concrete contractor I’ve used a lot of rental companies for equipment before and by far this is the best place! Tim was a amazing help all around knowledgeable nice guy and hard worker. The company has tons of equipment and I mean tons! Anything you need and everything the competitors don’t have they have at Runyon. They are also a STIHL distributor with everything In stock. Pricing was more than fair they have great pricing on all products and equipment you won’t go wrong here!

What a fantastic experience! Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful through the entire process. I was helped with loading and unloading my equipment. The equipment worked great and it was fairly priced!

This is the spot for all of my rental needs. They have pretty much any piece of machinery that you could need. Trailer rental is reasonable as well. Staff is knowledgeable and have yet to have a bad experience.

Always a very easy company to deal with. They have a great selection of equipment as always seem to have things in stock. I really like that the yard team shows you how to use the equipment prior to you taking it home and trying to figure it out on your own.

I’ve rented plenty of equipment from them but most recently I rented an item that didn’t accomplish what it was supposed to and when I returned it, they immediately took 50% off that item and then upgraded me to another item at 50% off! My experience renting and purchasing equipment has been fantastic.I used to rent equipment from Hoosier Tools before and it was like they were doing me a favor. Thats not a thing at Runyon. I find everyone to be very polite, from the guys in the yard to the sales people. I wish they would open one down south too.Highly recommended.Edit (Nov2018): Another positive experience renting from Runyon. I needed a forklift on short notice and they made it happen.

Went in rented a floor stripper to take up glued down hardwood. They assure me itnwasnfoing to work being self propelled. It did not work I had approx about 2 hrs.nstill was charged $97.00 showed video to person on how it wouldnt do the job.

Reliable in service and equipment. Ive never had a single issue with anything Ive rented over the ~8 different pieces of equipment Ive gotten from there over the years. Their prices are competitive if maybe a bit high for some things, but they are efficient and you get what you expect. The staff are courteous but I expect that deal with contractors more than the occasional DIYer, meaning if you want an overview of the item youre renting you may have to ask for it.

Great service at front desk.... But the people outside are rude and act like they making you a favor when you are paying for everything what they do.

In the future I will gladly go out of my way to another equipment rental company. The equipment worked great, but returning the equipment was not a good experience. The company tried to charge me triple the amount, even though I paid when I picked up the equipment. The staff person who rented it to me said I could return it tomorrow and when I asked what I needed to do if I needed to keep it longer, he said oh its fine just keep it until Monday. Never once told me I would be charged double, or if I returned it after 12pm it would be triple. Never once told me it was a 24 hour rental. When returning the equipment, I was told that I should have known and that the staff assumed I knew that I was getting charged for the extra days. Heres a tip from someone who has worked in customer service for many years, never assume that your customers know how your services operate. Customer service includes explaining your services to your customers, so that there is no assuming. Also, arguing with customers is never a good idea.

Had an issue with a hose on a pressure washer. They took it back and replaced it super fast without any paper work. Even adjusted my rental windows. Great to work with.

Rented multiple tools over the years. Some are worth it, some are cheaper to just buy brand new.

Rented a bounce house this Sunday for a birthday party. Then kids had a blast. Runyon equipment had a snow cone machine

I would not recommend this business for any maintenance or repairs. Very rude staff that will lie to you. I was told my machine was covered under warranty 100% they kept my machine 2 weeks then called and said I owed $1,000.00 . I refused to pay and the head mechanic Jeff told me he as going to strip my machine down and damage it. He said it was my problem. Finally got ahold of the real manager who told me to come get the machine and only offered to cut bill in half even though I was told it’s all covered under warranty.I picked my machine up and when I pulled into the lot they jumped on my machine and sped off with it to their far garage and looses all my bolts on my wheels. I’m not sure how it even got on my trailer with out wheels falling off bc when I got home I backed it off the trailer to literally have my wheel come off.I would not trust this company at all and not recommend to anyone.I was also hung up on several times and name called when I came to pick my machine up.

You know, I wanted to love this place but after my experience I just cant. My very first visit a couple of weeks ago for a wet saw was great. Friendly and helpful. My return visit a week later to rent the saw again resulted in rude, condescending remarks by the help to me. Not the counter help, they were indifferent, it was the loading help. These people need a lesson in how to service clients. Worse yet when I complained about it at the counter no one wanted to step up and take care of the situation. And to cap off the experience, the saw would not operate correctly and I couldnt use it for my project. Lots of my wasted time. I say go somewhere else and get better service.

Worst rental company ever. Stocked full of rude and uncaring people, along with defective and non-working equipment. If you want to rent a tool, like a wrench or a hammer, then this could be the place. If you want actual equipment that works, along with people that actually care, then go somewhere, ANYWHERE, else. You will thank me for it. However, I will give them 5 stars for one thing and thats shoving a bill in your face. This is a company run by a family full of greedy, non-caring morons. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Great service and fair pricing

We had an event on E. Georgia St on August 12, 2016. All the vendors were wonderful except RUNYON. They were rude beyond belief. And to top it off, 2 of the 3 mist fans that we rental did not move properly. They didnt inform us that we needed extension cords and hoses. So we were scrambling to get everything together before the event.

Had to argue with staff to get the lights repaired on our trailer. Would highly recommend any other rental place. The could not see why I would get pulled over without running lights....

We were an out of town company and worked on a project in Indianapolis at Tom Wood Subaru and Runyon bailed us out from a national Rental chain that failed to come through. We had called them less than 24 hours of our arrival and they accommodated our needs on very short notice. The staff was very friendly, equipment showed up on site early and was in excellent shape. The delivery driver was extremely pleasant to deal with as well. I will say when we are back in town on other projects Runyon is the only rental firm we will deal with. Trust me there are many others in and around Indianapolis. They were a great find for us.

*EDIT*I was contacted by Bonnie about this situation and she made it right. She even picked up both pieces of equiptment to return them the next day. I am hopeful for the future when I need more rentals.*********The staff was wonderful but the manager, Jeff, I believe, was the most rude and lazy person I have encountered in a long time. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt several times but it was very hard when he refused to speak to me more than a few words.After getting a piece of equipment home that was broken, and coming back to get a replacement, he tried to give me another piece of broken equipment. When I pointed out all of the missing hardware he just grunted and walked away (almost all of out communication was me, being as polite as possible, and him grunting at me and walking away).I was told on the phone to talk to Jeff when I got there, but I wish I would have just been able to work with the rest of the staff instead. It would have made the fact that they wasted half of my day much less angering. I cant see myself returning to Runyon after this experience.

Awful customer service and a rip off on prices. We rental a pressure washer extension wand that did not come with an adapter. Went to two different hardware stores to try to find the piece only to find out no one makes the adapter for that model anymore. We went back to Runyon to report that problem and they refused to give us our money back which is not the way to do business. I also wish we had shopped around on prices first, but only found out after we rented that Runyon is 2.5 times more than pensive than Home Depot.
