Top notch customer service in a world that desperately needs it. The great hospitality by the owner and staff are just absolutely refreshing. The owner drove me back to my house while I waited for my car to be repaired. This is old school hospitality that I wish more places had. The manager was very informative of the issues I had and didn’t try to price gouge me. I recommend 100%

Sal is very knowledgeable and has a very nice bedside manner, which is very hard to come by it seems like in this day and age, his crew are wonderful at fixing and maintaining your vehicle, they wont over charge you, and theyll always call if they have a problem and want to fix it for you! 5 Stars and then some, also great location too!! Let me tell you that all the people at this location are super helpful they will go out of there way to make sure you get an honest job at a honest price. Have had all my vehicles serviced there from time to time. never have had any issues, very helpful, polite and professional business!! i would not go anywhere else!! I originally went to chevy dealer and was told I might have a electrical problem with my headlight and probably would of costed me a fortune, than I took it to Carx in Carpentersville on Randall, they took there time to find the problem and Bob figured it out and fixed it with no problem, great place and excellent customer service 👍

I had no air conditioning in my car for 3 years because of the quotes I got to fix it. I took my car to them and they told me I didnt need a new compressor only a part.. great job done... I definitely will be taking my car back to them.

Theyre liars! See that sheet? See how two spots are still red? They didnt do the alignment. Then, they tried to tell me the boots were all ripped up, which is absurd because they are brand new! One week old!Evil horrid liars! Avoid at all costs!

I needed new brake pads, a rotor, and a caliper. They charged me 1/3 of what Ford and another mechanic quoted me. They even brought me into the shop to show me the parts they replaced. I checked my car before bringing it in and know that they did replace them. They were very friendly and did the job very quick and at a great price. I will be going back.

Have visited this Car X a few times over the years since they have opened, and every visit seems to have some sort of issue. But efficiency is consistently lacking as well as customer service. Efficiency seems to be an issue of understaffing and overbooking but it shouldn’t take an hour and a half for an oil change and a tire rotation, and it would have been nice had they relearned the tpms sensor like I had asked them to but was told they don’t have to tools to do it. So it looks like once again I’ll be relarning the tpms system myself. My advice to the store would be to staff yourselves adequately and work on time management as well as perform 100% of the services you are selling, tpms has been mandated since 2007 so in 12 years you still don’t have mechanics equipped to handle these systems? That is laziness plain and simple. And many vehicles don’t require a relearn scan tool to reset tpms sensors(mine included) I actually explained fhe process to the manager and was still told that was not something they could do and he insisted I go to discount tire across the street to have my tires rotated. So maybe you guys should just stop offering tire services all together? My advice to the customer would be to only come to car x as a last resort if you are unable to go elsewhere.

My first experience here at Car-X was today and it was a pleasant one. I have an exhaust bracket that broke, bought a replacement, but couldnt even get the old one off because of where it was located. Car-X looked at it, removed the old one, but found the one I had and even what they had wouldnt work for our car. They were kind enough to make some recommendations too.I will definitely bring our cars back here.

Awful service. I filed a negative review 4 months ago but it just never seemed to appear . . . Called for a brake job, was told they would order parts and made a appointment, dropped my car off, got a ride home, when I arrived home then they called to tell me they didnt have the parts and to come back the next day. Furious - needless to say my time is valuable and there was no sorry, come back tomorrow. Save yourself the time and take your service needs some place else.

Ive never been to car x before and got a coupon for an oil change for 24.99. I needed an oil change so I thought since the coupon said walk in or by appointment I would just take the car there. I get there and they told me sorry its Saturday. Were booked all day and close early. We cant fit you in without an appointment on a Saturday I asked about the walk in on the coupon and he said the same thing and basically sent me away. Didnt even aak if id let to set up an appointment for another day ( which i would have gladly done.) I gave him the coupon and said keep it. Ill go somewhere else. I went down to Firestone and they said it was an hour and a half wait but if I couldnt wait he could get me in for tomorrow. I made the appointment. Thank you Firestone for being there for me when car x shooed me away like a red headed step child.

Very professional and friendly people

The guys were friendly, but they screwed up my brakes horribly. My brother is a mechanic but in a crunch for time I took it to CarX to have the front rotors replaced. They kindly suggested I buy the rotors myself to save money. I did, and when I got the car back the back brakes were making a horrific, loud clanking noise. When I had my brother, a mechanic, look at it after they did it, he said they intentionally made the bolt so tight that it would make that noise so that I would take it in the have the back ones replaced. He said a lot of places do that to get more business, fix one problem and tell you there is another (that they created) to get you back in for more work. I wont be trusting them with my car again.

Generally I work on my own vehicles unless it is too cold outside or it is a repair that is beyond my expertise. And besides enjoying working on my vehicles, the main reason for this is that I worry that the repair shop is going to stick it to me. What I love about this CarX is the honesty they have. Adam could not be more friendly and I absolutely always feel as though I was given a fair price for the work. You know that dreaded call a repair shop sends your way after they diagnose your problem and give you the estimate? And that price is always sky high? This CarX has never once done that to me (unlike certain Ford dealers in the area). When they call and give me the price, I am always shocked how reasonable their estimates are. And what makes it better is that they stick to the estimate price. That is what you will pay, end of story.Also, it is nice that they can fix a variety of issues on a variety of cars. Could not be happier taking my car to these guys/gals. I own two Fords, so I know a thing or two about having to repair my vehicles! LOL

Inquired about an oil change and they were very rude. No attempt to help with appointment. I was told unfortunately an appointment is needed and then the person at the desk went back to what they were doing. Not giving them my business or any other Car X for that matter. Zero customer service!!
