Stopped in today to grab some hair dye, but wasn’t 100% sure of my choice. The cashier, Ashley, was SO knowledgeable and sweet and made me feel really confident in my decision. She even recommended ways for me to get the color I desired as well as maintaining my moisture in the process. I love This location and definitely will continue to stop by when I need My beauty fix

A second star because the store is looks nice and clean but the staff was horrible and I left feeling so uncomfortable. I was with my friend and we stopped at the corner of the store for a minute to check a message, and immediately and employee rudely said we werent allowed to stand there. We walked around and there was so many employees asking us if we needed help. Its nice that they want to check up on you but it reaches a point where it becomes annoying. I was looking for a blush that is only sold at sephora (which I had no idea because Im new to makeup). I decided that the next person that asked if we needed help Id ask them if they had it in stock. She practically started yelling SEPHORA over and over again. It weired us out to the point that we left. Like okay? I got that you dont sell it here the first time u raised your voice? It was so rude and even another employee came at the same time to repeat the same thing.

They follow you around the entire store basically stalking you. I had about 3 different clerks following me asking if I needed help.. And I’m certain they heard the previous ladies ask that question. If you think a grown woman is stealing anything out of Ulta you need better judgement. I’m going back to Sephora where they let you shop and explore in peace.

Rude cashiers. I didn’t get her name, but she was in a mood with customers at the register. I’ve seen other reviews mention the rude atmosphere of the cashiers in this location too. The employees on the floor are kind and helpful though.I don’t know what’s up with this location and the people working on the register.

Google should really consider a zero star option for this Ulta location. The cashier and I assume manager both did not understand that $5 off of $15 is a better discount than 20% off of your purchase, if your transaction is under $25 (same discount at exactly $25). 33.33% off is what drew me to this store instead of its competitor, which rhymes with Dora. What a mistake. The headache of trying to explain to the manager that she rang up my transaction incorrect was not worth the attempted savings. After a roundabout argument, she tells me my total, I tell her she used the 20% off coupon when I wanted to use the $5 off coupon. Her solution? Take a dollar off! At this point the $0.20 extra shes still charging me isnt worth it, so I pay and leave. I will never step inside this location again. The attitude I got for politely communicating that I wanted to optimize my savings with their store coupons was not worth it.

Super friendly workers! I was having trouble picking out a shade of foundation since also due to COVID, we cant try out the products. She suggested a shade and said if its not correct, I can come return it. Well, I went home and tried it and the shade was perfect! Would definitely come back.

They helped me find what I needed. The first product they took me to was of course probably the most expensive version in the store. Told them I didnt want to spend that and what Id found online. They helped me find a more reasonably priced product then. Store was clean, bright, easy to navigate. However, when I got home, I realized that the sealed package they sold me contained only 1/4 of the contents it was supposed to have!! I immediately called and spoke to the manager. She asks if I just want to run back up there and exchange it. Im caring for a sick kid and amputee husband. Sure, thats super easy. Just run back up there.🙄 Why she just didnt give me a refund, I dont know. Nordstroms its not.

This location used to be nice, it’s not the same anymore. I returned something on the 20th and still have it gotten my refund. Since they can’t give me cash in store I have to wait until someone figures out how to fix this mess. Your system messed up and then after calling customer service, they are asking ME to do detective work...that’s not my job. I remember when there use to be good customer service, back in 2014.They’re asking me to wait 7-10 days for a check!!! Not only an inconvenience but they don’t even care.Been a happy Diamond Member pretty much every year, but you’re really disappointing as a company for the amount of money your pulling in from your customers.

So we go and spend a good deal of money after an hour of browsing different products and then it turns out they don’t do makeup at this location and that we would have to call around and find one that does. I have a serious addiction to the art of perfume. They keep bringing out new products every single time. Sometimes I wish I could actually buy all of them not only for me but for gifts for people. The people there were very knowledgeable about skin products hair products things that any person might need an order to help them feel better about themselves or its just simply look healthier. I recommend this place because I like it everything there is just perfect though half of it or at least 75% of it is not for men the 25% is perfect for us.

I personally know nothing about makeup. This location needs more staff at hand. I waited over 30 minutes to get assistance from the staff. There was probably 5-6 staff members but well over a ratio of customers. It wasnt a pleasant experience. I would also recommend more training for your employees. The foundation that I bought based on the recommendation of your employee was not great for my skin even though we discussed my skin type earlier. I basically wasted money on a product that isnt for me. ☹️

I decided to go to this Ulta because it’s closer to my house. I’ve been twice and neither time was I greeted or asked if I could be helped, unlike every other Ulta I’ve been to. I did actually need assistance and had to ask and was just met with someone who seemed like they didn’t want to be at work. And checking out was delightful, NOT! No going back here.

I have also had professional make up done as well and they did fabulous. The only down side at all to this store is I cant go in without spending 100 bucks or more!

Im thoroughly disappointed.. usually my hair stylist does a wonderful job with cutting my hair. However I was bored with having brunette hair and I wanted something different so I decided I wanted silver/charcoal hair. I work 2 jobs and this whole covid19 biz so it was very difficult to get an appt. During my session I showed photos and they never said once they didnt have the color until AFTER they bleached my hair. I was literally GOLDEN BLONDE for a week! The hair stylist after turning me golden blonde said shell call me when she picks up the hair color the following day. So for a week I called for follow ups. I heard NOTHING FROM HER til the 6th day of calling her. I setup another appt a week out. The second appt she worked on me and a another customer at the same time. However we looked at swatches this time and I was happy to see something similar to the color I was looking for. The whole 2nd session the hair stylist hyped me up however she wouldnt let me see the finished product til after she styled my hair. I was COOL BLONDE. I honestly wanted to cry in the chair. But I am not a confrontational person and she was very sweet/proud of her work so I waited a week bc of work. It has been over a month almost 2 months now and I have called over 5 times to speak with a manager but there is NEVER A MANAGER TO SPEAK TO.I honestly want a refund at this point and I am throughly exhausted seeing myself blonde. I wanted to be a gothic babe instead Im BLONDE. And trust me everytime I would call in they said it would be while to hear back from the manager but I NEVER heard back. So Im done. Hundreds of dollars down the drain for something I didnt ask for. My virgin hair turned into a disaster and Im going to a different place entirely now bc this is ridiculous.

It took three tries before my hair was even enough to be seen in public after my haircut at Ulta. It kept getting shorter, and shorter... Unfortunately, I dont have time nor patience for having to go back twice before its done well. Perhaps if one has coarse, curly hair, it would turn out ok. My hair is straight and fine, yet was being cut as if it were curly. That just doesnt work. A young lady named Meya cut it the first time, and curled it all over. I left the salon happy, until I arrived home and the curls had fallen out, exposing the jagged, extremely uneven haircut. Yikes. I immediately drove back to Ulta, but it was 7pm on a Saturday, and I was told I would have to wait until Tuesday morning to get a cut correction appointment with the salon manager, Shay. So, I waited a couple of days to get it fixed, determined to avoid taking out my scissors and attempting to cut off the long strands myself. Shay took quite a bit of time correcting the uneven cut; but since she did not wash nor even wet my hair, her cut was not even, either. She trimmed and trimmed; but I finally went home because I didnt want my hair to get any shorter. At home, I immediately washed my hair, and then it was evident that there were still several strands which were much longer in places than the rest; so I went back to Ulta again. I felt bad that Shay was in a meeting/conference call, and I appreciate that she left it to help me for a few more minutes with my hair. She cut off the offending long strands, and the hairdo finally started behaving as it should. Hooray! At least I should have a few weeks of fairly decent-looking hair while I find another salon.

My experience with the staff in the salon was top notch. I felt the treatment and care were above what I expected. They listened to me and I was able to leave feeling good about how I looked. One bad thing, the prices are really high. I had a little sticker shock at the bill. The staff at the front counter do not seem to be very happy and there is always a line when I go to check out. The cosmetics area staff came off a bit frosty in their attitude. I wondered around one night looking for hair pieces for what seemed an eternity and I was never approached. Salon services a bit above average but the price was pretty high. The cosmetics and skin care is very high priced and the hair gadgets the same. $50 for a basic curling iron? No thanks. I liked the selection. But, the prices were just too high compared to other beauty supply stores in the area.

Usually this is one of my main places to go to for makeup. Very so often are you greeted and asked do you need help. This time I go and I needed assistance with makeup. I waited 20 minutes while this other lady was getting her eyebrows done. Then when she was finished the lady that worked there had another lady sit down and started doing her makeup. I came into this location and saw some curlers that were priced at $16.99 I asked the associate are these the curlers because it said different sizes and she told me yes. I drive 40 minutes back to the location to purchase them and verified with yet another associate and was told yes that was the price. I get to the front to purchase and learned that was NOT the price, they were $32.46. I explained to the manager Brooke (whom I asked for help prior and she didn’t even turn around to acknowledge me as a customer) that two other associates told me a different price. She told me I was wasting my time going back and forth because she wasn’t going to change the price. I contact customer service and the lady I spoke with informed me they didn’t even sell the size that was priced at $16.99 so the store had wrong information and the manager went about it wrong. Customer service couldn’t believe the experience I had and sent me a gift card to cover the entire amount of the curlers. I refused to step foot back into that location.

I can not believe the way I was treated in that store, and by a MANAGER! I went in to do a return And when I went in there I was there less than 5 minutes and there was a woman I found out later was a manager was following me around and asked me literally 5 times in less than 5 minutes if I needed help with anything so annoyed I went to the register to handle my return and while the associate was helping me she rudely came up and pushed him off his register and said Ill take care of this and I said no thank you he is helping me just fine Ill have him handle it and she would not let him. After I give her the receipt which was paid with my debit card she said she could not give me cash she could only refund me on the debit card which I know is absolutely not true I had so much stuff going on that day I did not have time for unnecessary issues with some rude woman who was obviously discriminating against me because I didnt have my make up on or my hair done I must not have been up to her standards or something I dont know but it inconvenienced me to the point I had to go to a different Ulta where I was greeted and assisted by an extremely professional friendly associate and manager who told me what I already knew which was there is absolutely no reason why the other lady could not refund me cash with my debit receipt. I am so appalled and embarrassed by this whole experience It just amazes me to see that places like Ulta dont have a higher standard when it comes to how the customers are treated and by a manager even. I think she said her name was Erma she was a shorter latino womwn at the Ulta on Josey and George Bush in Carrollton. I work in customer service and like I said I am just totally appalled.UPDATE!!! I actually went back to the same Ulta to find the same rude woman Urma working. Again she followed me around the entire time I tried to shop it is so degrading and humiliating to be treated like I am not welcome. I got a haircut + blowout and it was nice, but shorter than I wanted. The lady asked me how long I wanted my hair while it was curly, but only cut it after she had straightened it. If you have curly hair, make sure you clarify this with them because otherwise you wont be completely happy with your cut. And with the ridiculous price they charge when cutting long, curly hair, you deserve to be completely happy!

I hate leaving negative reviews and Ive gone back and forth on writing this one, but I feel like I should. First of all, most of the staff has never been anything but kind and welcoming. They usually greet me with a smile and see if theres anything I need help with. There are many good deals and I almost always buy my beauty supplies here.My issue is with the salon. I went in a few months ago for a trim, and the stylist ended up doing her own thing and turning it into this bob with the back really short and the front long. She had mentioned a long bob to me and seeing as thats what I already had, I said sure but that I didnt want a drastic change. There was nothing long about this bob except the front. When I saw her initial cut I about fell over at how many inches she chopped. Then she just went to town chopping all over the place. I kept asking how much she was cutting and she was telling me it wasnt as much as it looked. Well, I felt bad complaining much because she was really sweet and seemed super proud of the haircut. I just told myself it would grow and not to see this stylist again.I let my hair grow back some but due to the crazy, uneven haircut I had previously received, it grew back completely messed up and uneven. I called and scheduled another appointment with a different stylist. I arrived about 5 minutes early for my appointment and walked towards the salon and was greeted by one of the ladies working in the store. As I walked back I told her I was there for an appointment and she told me to have a seat and the stylist would be with me shortly. Well, the stylist didnt acknowledge my presence or anything, but I sat down anyway. I waited nearly an hour and nothing was said by the stylist. She just kept chatting it up to her current client. So I went to the front desk and asked if they could help me out and figure out how much longer it would be because I didnt want to approach her in front of a client. The stylist said it would be at least another hour. Keep in mind this was an hour after my appointment was supposed to start. I told her thank you but I was going to have to go. Not too happy with my experience with this salon.

Definitely not a helpful or happy staff at least not towards me. Rae Lynn, a prestige area consultant, was happily helping another lady when I walked up. After she finished I politely asked her if I could have a sample and before I could finish she rudely says they dont give out samples and Ulta hasnt in 3 years. Strange because last week I sampled a product. Her attitude and tone totally threw me off as just a minute ago she was as bubbly as ever. Needless to say I called the Ulta that I visited on Preston and they told samples are available for certain products and that I could stop by.Not all people are looking to just sample sample sample. Some people prefer to sample versus buying and returning.My advice is to definitely visit a friendly store that will take the time to give you details and facts versus just lying to you.

The day after I bought this Lancôme rollerball of perfume it fell out of my pocket and shattered. I figured I would just go ask if there was anything I could do, or if I was just out of luck, and Bianca immediately told me I could replace it with a brand new one. It has been a while since I last entered an ULTA Beauty store since typically you will get overwhelmed with overly eager sales people that try to sell you the newest products and follow you through the entire store until you finally give in to listen or buy anything recommended. This, luckily didnt happen to me today - a very friendly lady greeted me when I entered, let me stroll around for couple minutes and then approached me if I needed help with anything. After letting her know I was just looking, she continued her work. I could peacefully look at new make-up trends and got all the products that I needed. At the register the same lady helped me changing my number on my rewards card which I had been unable to do so online or over the hotline. So thank you for this very good experience at Ulta and I will certainly come back! :)

This Ulta has a great selection of makeup and skin products. However, I was a little disappointed in their hair accessories. I could t find regular, plain bobby pins, which is surprising since theyre a necessity for a lot of hairstyles. They did have some larger bobby pins, but they were a dollar a piece. Not worth it. I ended up going to Albertsons for bobby pins. Dont come here for basic hair accessories, but they are great for makeup.

Most of the Ultas I go to usually make me feel so uneasy. The associates are usually rude and intimidating however! At this Ulta that is not the case! I walked in and Jana (sorry if I spelled that wrong lol) was ready to help me right away. She was so sweet and patient and helped color match me, which is really difficult for my weird skin. She took her time and helped me get everything I needed. AND the rest of the employees were super friendly as well! I will definitely be returning to this location! :)

This is the poorest service I have ever received in an ULTA store. I walked in stood around for at least 10 minutes with 3 employees standing in a circle talking small talk offering no assistance at all. I had to walk past them to ask someone for help who only pointed me back their way. Once their talking was broke up they were still no assistance. Went to the front counter, ask to speak to the manager on duty only to find she was one of the original employees in the talking session watching me look for someone to help and offering no assistance. Needless to say, Im furious. This definitely needs to be addressed at a corporate level. I go into ULTA stores all over the US as I travel and never have I been treated this way. These ladies need to brush up on some customer service skills.

ALICIA, the “manager” is absolutely the worst at doing her job. FIRST, she was harassing and yelling at me for trying to do an exchange. SECOND, she gave the wrong policy rules. Saying “if it’s used it can’t be returned or exchanged”. Which is not what is stated on Ulta website policy. THIRD, I had all customer rights, but she decides to call a police on me. REALLY? ALICIA SHOULD NOT BE A PART OF ULTA. This is terrifying experience!!!

Canceled my hair appointment one hour prior. Totally unprofessional. Ultas reservation card says for clients to give a 24 hour notice for changing an appointment, I should be held to the same standard!

The salon at ulta is always on point they take walkins when not super busy and making an appointment with them is a breeze ! The stores are always fabulous full of great deals I just can’t find at Sephora .

I love ULTA and their points system! This store is conveniently located of the PGBT, and a great addition to Carrollton. 4 stars only because sometimes they are out of the items that I need, however they offer free shipping for the items out of stock.
